Although the Caravan that I had requested was not available for pick up the agent upgraded me to an SUV which was a satisfactory substitution. The vehicle was great and I was able to complete my trip according to the plan. The drop off was extremely easy and trouble free.

The car wasnt full of gas nor was it clean. We had to vacuum the rental because it was dirty with hair and pockets in back seat had garbage in them.

I went online on Thursday 08/20/2020 to get a quote for a one day rental for the next day. When I got the quote and when to purchase, the rate changed. I spoke with 2 different Chat agents who both informed me they could do nothing about the change in rates from quote to purchase. I asked them to NOT charge my card as I would have to shop around for a better rate. I came back to the website after shopping around and reserved through Avis online and paid upfront for my rental. When I got the the counter the next day, I was told that my card didnt have enough credit for the deposit hold. I had just made a credit card payment the night before SPECIFICALLY for the rental car, to include the deposit. So, I check my credit card using my phone app and see that Avis has 3 charges pending on my credit card. The only charge that should have been there was the 52.74 charge where I prepaid for my rental. I advised the counter agent of this. I advised her that I also spoke with 2 different agents on the Chat and they both apparently charged my card AFTER I ASKED THEM NOT TO. This is FRAUD. She called into customer service and gave me the phone. I spoke with an agent who assured me the 2 charges the Chat agents made for 67.07 would be credited back to my account in 3-5 days. One of the charges did come off. The other charge is still there, pending. The correct prepaid amount has posted as well. I cant even dispute this charge with my credit card company because it hasnt posted, its just pending. However, its holding up credit on my card. I am EXTREMELY UPSET and will never use Avis again. I feel so powerless. The bad thing is, these two agents will continue to do this to other unsuspecting customers without any recourse to them. As for my situation, I will be taking this problem up the management ranks, and I demand they be punished if they charged my card without my consent. I dont know what recourse I have legally, but I am looking into that as well, because this is theft.

My CSR were very nice, they were both very pleasant when I picked up the car and when I dropped it off. They were very informative and professional. They gave me a brand new Kia Forte with all the bells and whistles. Nice clean. It was a good experience.

The vehicle reeked of recent cigarette smoke. The truck could not have been cleaned/sanitized at all let alone in a way that could’ve provided us any protection and/or mitigate risk to COVID-19. There were actually clumps of mud everywhere and there was trash as in candy wraps, blown into tissue, crumpled up boarding passes, and half drunken bottles of soda and water still in the vehicle from the previous renters. Had we not been in such an extreme hurry to make it to our destination, I’d have seen to it that someone lost their job due to the potential life threatening risk we were neglectfully just exposed to. We are very upset so still may. Pictures tell this entire story.

The vehicle was very nice. We had issues at Daytona beach with the original vehicle they gave us but the customer service agent took care of it promptly and gave us another vehicle. She was very helpful and friendly which is not often the case at car rental companies

I reserved a luxury months ago but when I get there to pick up the car you dont have one for me. They offered me a Camaro, yeah thats not even close. Then the only other thing available was a Dodge Charger, at least it had four doors. Thats what we took, a far cry from the luxury I pre-paid for. What a rip off and at the same price as the luxury. Dont think Ill be using Avis in the future. Classic bait and switch.

The exterior of the car had black marks all over it, windshield on the inside had to be cleaned before I could drive it. Low tire pressure light kept coming on. After returning and paying balance owed, they charged me an additional 250.00 for miscellaneous cleaning claiming the car was dirty and smelly which it was not any worse than when I had picked it up. Yes, it did need vacuuming but that is definitely not worth 250.00! I am very upset with Avis to say the least!

Went to Budget and Avis serviced us at Daytona Airport. We initially paid for a “standard SUV” which was described as Ford Edge or the equivalent. They gave us a Mitsubishi Outlander as their “standard SUV”. This car is the size of a sedan at best. We couldn’t fit our luggage in the trunk. Needless to say, we had to go back in and they made us pay more for a real standard SUV, which we would consider “standard”. We got the Ford Explorer. Bad way to start our vacation. Budget and Avis, you stink! Always trying to get over on vacationers. Never again.

There were no issues with the pickup we rented, which carried several loads of household items to storage. We had an early plane to catch and leaving off the keys was an easy processAvis is our number one choice for rental vehicles.

Had a rental car purchased 2 weeks in advance, when I arrived from the plane to get the car it was not ready. Only offered to get me in something else for an up charge. This is absolutely ridiculous having to wait around for them to get a car ready. There is two other customers having to wait aswell. I would not recommend budget/Avis for car rentals.

I rented a car from this location from 8/8/18-8/14/18. The car was dirty. There was a film on the interior of the windows that made it hard to see out of. The passenger door seal was torn and had mold growing under it. It was a Nissan Sentra. They charged an extra $65.00 to have my friend added to drive it ( we are both in our mid 40s and were there for a girls trip) The car pulled and needed an alignment. Paid over $450.00 for a week for this car. Told Beth upon turning the car in all these issues and didnt even get an apology. No discount offered, nothing. We fly into Daytona every year and will make sure not to rent from Avis/Budget again. Was a rip off on the cost and all the extras they charged.

I highly recommend Avis because of their friendly and helpful staff. Also, I had an issue with an object in the tire of my rental and they quickly replaced the rental with another vehicle. They were quick and asked no questions. I truly enjoyed the service! I always recommend Avis!!

I used my Amex awd and should of had a full size and I used a coupon for a free upgrade. I got a Toyota Camry (full size) with scratches all over it, smelled like smoke inside, and had over 22,000 miles on it. It was not a nice vehicle and I am disappointed that it used an old AWD code and it didnt use the card that I entered in when I reserved it.

Avis at Daytona was amazing. Due to Delta’s poor service we were in a bind and had reserved an enterprise well in advance. The lady at the counter was very unhelpful and our car wasn’t ready even though they said it was and we were barley going to make our rescheduled flight in Orlando. We just stepped over to Avis and Patty saved the day. She was literally the difference of us making our rescheduled flight in Orlando. Exceptional customer service.

Great airport, great rental company. Avis at DAB has friendly staff, easy car pickup, and a great selection of Preferred cars. It would be nice to have express drop off with a crew there checking in the cars but self drop off is fine since I have to go in that direction anyway.

So I was originally booked a vehicle for a week at the Avis/budget in daytona on Mason Avenue (booked one 1+ weeks in advance) that turned into an absolute nightmare at last minute while I was there on fathers day trying to go see my dad who lives hours away (Ill spare the details, even had to call corporate at one point). However, even though a little more expensive I called daytona airport location, asked about availability and the lady Cherly at the airport worked with me and saved the day after hours of frustration. Even after my trip and returning the car after hours of driving, I had forgotten the brochure you normally bring back and she was so kind about the fact, and was so pleasant to talk to at the desk since there was no line behind me this time and worked with me. I will definitely be going there and asking for her if I need a rental. Thank you Cherly.

Wouldnt let me pick up a car with the debit card I ALREADY PAID FOR THE CAR WITH. I tried calling around to their customer service numbers for some sort of a resolution. All the numbers went to indian customer service centers. I couldnt understand a word they said and what little I did comprehend, they had the situation completely wrong. Avis is more than happy to take your money. If you need some sort of customer service. FORGET IT!

Went to try to modify my reservation and was hung up on by managers 8 Different times. Not even joking. Over charged me 135.00 and never notified me or gave any explanation as to how the charges originated. No documentation to support the extra money they billed my credit card for. If I would have not studied my statement that was emailed to me. I requsted an investigation as to weather or not the charge was valid through my credit card company. Avis rental did not send any supporting documentation or even respond so capital one refunded the the extra charge not the $ originally agreed for the car. Now I get letters from Avis demanding payment or they say they will send to creditors and report to Credit-UNIONS. I will not be using Avis again due to their erroneous charges and poor customer relations.
