Our company was in need of brake repairs for our primary vehicle, and we were struggling to find a shop that could provide appointments and accurate time frames for repairs. Cannot recommend this group any higher. Very fair pricing, but they won me over with their personality. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, solid communication about my cars problems, and when it turned out to be a bigger issue than I was prepared to deal with, they helped me out and showed me some good other options. Tisha, Rafael, and Megan were all wonderful, and while I didnt have the pleasure of meeting anyone else, I am confident they are just as great. I really appreciate all the work they did for me, and if I ever find myself in need of more help, I know where Ill be going.

Davis import is an honest shop! They also diagnose correctly, and do good quality work. You cant do better. My daughter who lives in Davis takes her car there. I live in the East Bay, and usually do my own mechanical work.

Always great service. Prices are fair and they complete the job when they say they will. Always fix the issues I bring up. If they see other work they think you should do, they will suggest it without pressuring you to do the work immediately, or even at their store. Its rare to find a place as ethical as this.As a bonus, the front office staff are professional, friendly, and fun: they will let you pet their dogs and decorate their lobby according to the holidays. Finally, free food and snacks. All of this makes Davis Import & Domestic the most warm and welcoming auto repair shop Ive been in.

This is the only repair shop we now take our cars to, and its the most ethical and trustworthy place Ive been to in Davis. Prices are very reasonable, repairs are excellent, the explanations from Bob and Jared are thorough, and I have nothing but praise for the job they do. Even when weve had odd things happen at the most inopportune times, this business has never hesitated to have us bring the car right in, and has even given us advice over the phone when we werent sure if it was safe to drive the car in or not. Even their dog is friendly when greeting me. Our two cars together have about 350,000 miles on them, and theyre running great. I cant recommend this place enough.

Customer service really struggled. refused to give a simple quote to replace my leaky radiator, made me stand and wait to pay for 20 minutes while simply chatting with a non-customer, expensive oil change and inspection provided little-no information on the car: brakes, tires, etc. confused given other reviews; would rather go to the dealer.

I had a head light go out while traveling...they fut me in and were nice and fair. I highly recommend Davis Import Service.

I dropped my car here after it broke down. They were very patient and accommodating as I looked for a junkyard that would buy my car, allowing me to leave it at their shop even though I wasnt paying for any services. I think that speaks volumes about the owners.

I have a 2008 Saab 9-3. Needless to say it is not the easiest car to find parts for or work on since Saab went out of business. Davis Imports have serviced my car to an exceptional level, their customer service is amazing, prices extremely competitive, and the work is done to the highest standard.Short story, we were driving home to Phoenix for Christmas when a code came up. Turned out the fuel pump was about to go out. We took it in and the guys were able to find a new fuel pump, install it and get us back on the road to get home before Christmas Eve! We wouldnt have made it home if it wasnt for Jared and the team at Davis Imports!

Had brought a car for repair there a couple of years ago, was very satisfied with the service but didnt take the time to write a review. Last week I brought my 2002 VW Jetta for a thorough inspection. Again, excellent service. Jarad explained every repair, even suggested the most efficient and least costly solution given that the car is 13 years old (but still good). I highly recommend this mechanic.

More expensive than Toyota Dealer! I brought my Prius in 4/19/16 for a 60,000 mile service, which is oil change and filter and replacing air cabin and air engine filters. I was given an estimate of $406, with 2.1 hours labor. They first defended this price, but when I told them I paid $136 on 10/22/15 for an oil change and filter there (.9 hr labor), the price was lowered to $345. I then noticed that the estimate charged twice for the cabin filter, and they said they would deduct another $37, but when I asked them to lower the duplicate labor as well (which was .3 hr for each air filter), I was refused service and told to go elsewhere. Miata Toyota in Sacramento charges $305.95 for 60k service. I dealt with Bob, the owner, who has probably processed hundreds for oil and air filter changes for Priuses in Davis -- how could he not know from the start that $406 was an inflated charge?

Horrible customer service and communication. Stay away from this place.

Dealership mechanics had told me that there was a defective part in my car that needed to be replaced which would have cost several thousand dollars. I took my car to Davis Import Auto Services and they instructed me that the original evaluation by the dealership was incorrect and that the true source of the problem would only cost a couple of hundred dollars to fix. They saved me a significant amount of money and didnt BS me. I would highly recommend them.
