I take my best friend here about once a month to see his psychiatrist. My friend prefers I sit in with him durring his appointment. Id say theyve done wonders for him. Always willing to explain all the side effects of his meds and make sure the dosage was working for him.the psychiatrist always seemed very patient, nice, and understanding.

For the love of absolute god, i wrote pages upon pages of all the absolute insanity they have put me through, and you know what? it doesnt even matter anymore. They dont care. They probably make money off you if you die. Thats all anyone cares about anymore.Take your loved ones elsewhere.

Was supposed to have a phone appointment with Laura Hill. She never called and when I finally called to see what the problem was I had to reschedule. I told them the day that would work for me and that day was confirmed by the receptionist. A couple days BEFORE the rescheduled appointment I got a call from Hill which I was unable to answer. She left a message asking for me to call back. I did, I was sent to her voice mail and never received a call back from her or anyone else at the facility. The day of when the appointment was now supposed to be, I gave it until 15 minutes after I was supposed to receive a call. When I called to see what the problem was now, I was told the appointment was for the other day when I got the missed call, which is not what I would have agreed too as I was originally supposed to work that day. Then I received a letter in the mail about having missed my appointment. This place sucks. Do yourself a massive favor and find somewhere else to seek help, you might be able to find a place that actually cares about their patients.

Starting going to Vera French in 1st grade and stopped going when I was in my early 20s, I cant tell u one positive thing about that whole experience except I had one doctor that listened, then after that it was and assembly line of taken off one medicine then put on another, then I went back years later because I heard they were different, the first prescriber I got was belittling, rude and condisending, then the second one I was assigned to prescribed me antidepressants when I was strongly against it because of a previous experience, she persisted so much it mine as well been forced, wouldnt recommend wasting ur time, this place creates mental patients not cures them.

Miss Hill kicked me out of a intake because I asked if I might possibly record our talk for my records. She was infuriated and jostled.Miss Hill then proceeded with creating a conflict and ended intake. When i asked what the problem was she refused to answer my question.I felt abused and stonewalled. I was there to seek a remedy not encounter abuse.

They seem to be unable to do even the most basic tasks such as sending prescriptions to the pharmacy you requested. Nobody seems to know where it went or what to do about it, and the staff at VF certainly weren’t very interested in helping. 75% of the time you can’t get anyone on the phone and are forced to leave a message, and 99% of those don’t get returned. They’re the same as all the other mental healthcare places in the qca. They’re indifferent, uncompassionate, and only interested in making sure your bill is paid. And just like all the other places they are constantly full so they don’t care about you because there’s another one right behind you to take your spot. No wonder the state of mental healthcare is so poor in this country.

This place is absolute absurd!!! They dont care about the patients treatments and need for medication. They send you through all those unnecessary appointments to see this person and that person, just to see the doctor to get medication. Even if you have your documentation and medicines from a previous place. Ive been out of meds since November, because of the stupid, unprofessional ways they have things set up!!! Ive NEVER had to go through all these difficulties just to get my medicine prescribed. They really hurting patients more than helping, if they actually look at it. Doesnt make any since, but they have all those rules and regulations, but not thinking about the patients and they well being. As if people dont have other appointments and places to be, as well that are just as important!!!

Vera French is one of The few outpatient mental health clinics available. Period. Psychology & Psychiatry are hopelessly underserved. . Mental Health treatment needs to be a priority, not an afterthought. We put so much into Body Healing - Wellness should be about the whole person.

Hate the the 2 short notice appointment cancellation policy. It prevents you from scheduling future appointments with your assigned psychiatrist and instead forces you to go to the on call psychiatrist where the wait time is unpredictable.

I missed an appointment because I had just moved and it slipped my mind. I was out of one of my medications, but since I missed the appointment they refused to refill it and instead I had to go cold turkey and wait for over a week to get my prescribed medication. These guys dont care about you, its simply business.DO NOT GO HERE.
