The steering wheel on my Toyota Avalon was off center and I happened to see their alignment special coupon in the newspaper, so I called to make an appointment. After I made the appointment, I was a little concerned due to some recent negative reviews. Well, it turned out to be a very positive experience. The repair was thorough and their posted prices were very competitive. I will definitely consider Jacks for future auto repair needs. They give customers additional $5 off for providing them your email.

I was stranded in Davenport on I80. I called 3 places and Jacks was the only place I could get a tow immediately. The others quoted me 3 hours. They were kind and fixed my problem. Peace of mind when you are 3.5 hours from home. Thank you so much!

Anyone that cant give you a simple estimate over the phone is not worth your time In my experience this usually means your going to get overcharged

I had an appointment on a Monday 9:30am for an Alignment and tire rotation, I sat there for 25 minutes waiting, looking at my truck that hadnt been moved in yet. I was then told the 1 and only person capable of doing an alignment on my 2013 3500HD dually, wasnt there yet, and the tire machine was broke so they wouldnt be able to do my tire rotation. We set a new appointment for Wednesday, by this time the tire machine was fixed but backed up with work, so I called someone to pick me up so I could leave the truck. The truck wasnt done until Thursday, No big deal. I noticed Friday morning the rear outer duals were not on correctly, I couldnt even find the valve stem for inner dual. So I drove back to Jacks for a 4th time so they could do a quick wheel removal and right back on correctly. They didnt have time, and we would need to make another appointment. I really wanted to be a returning customer, but now I will not. The truck still pulls slightly to the right, and I ended up correcting the rear wheels myself. $338

Had an appointment at 9 am. They made this appointment, I just agreed to it. A gentlemen walked in for his appointment at 9am for an alignment. They did not have him on the books. The gentleman calmly said well I just drove 45 minutes to be on time. The bonehead behind the counters says Im sorry sir but its going to be a while before I can get to you The gentleman calmly asked how long is a while? Than the bonehead said, the mechanic that does alignments called in sick today. The gentleman finally with a little bit of attitude said, well what am I supposed to do? Good gentlemen left and said, I will never step foot in this place again. ...... It was weird that the bonehead had then turned to me and was using all kinds of excuses like I was supposed to be on his side. Now I dont know why I was upset except for I dont like the way the gentleman was being treated and it was 9:20 and my car wasnt on the rack so I left too and I will never ever let somebody talk to me that way and give them my business.

The next business day after the 4th of July is normally extremely busy for truck and auto shops. When I called Joe this past Monday and asked him to look at my cooling system challenge his reply was Sure. I will fit you in.I have taken all of my repairs--gas and large diesel--to Joe over the past two years. I get straightforward answers, timely and competent work at reasonable prices. I trust Joe to be fair, and he treats me like I would treat him. This past Monday he went the extra mile and once again, I was happy to say to him: Ill be back.

DO NOT GO HERE. Not only did they LIE to me when I asked what it would cost, they omitted that it would be 250 DOLLARS FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND TOW TO THEIR GARAGE. Now they wont release my car, And theyre charging me ten additional dollars a day storage until my payday, EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS DISCUSSED PRIOR. Nothing was signed, they didnt clear anything with me and they deliberately hid charges and are adding on more because I cant afford to pay their extortion fee. This is so messed up. How am I supposed to even get to work so that I CAN pay? I have two small kids. I was so distressed that I offered to just give them the car to junk if it was that far gone and nearly 300 dollars for a diagnostic that costs 50 literally anywhere else. When I told them my insurance would cover the tow, they dropped it to 150. THESE PEOPLE STOLE A WORKING MOTHERS CAR. DONT BE ME. DONT LET THESE PEOPLE STEAL FROM YOU.

I had my SUV in for engine issues. After being told what the issue was, and the cost, I decided to trade in my SUV. They had my vehicle for 7 days, during this time my SUV was sitting OUTSIDE during multiple snow and ice storms WITH THE WINDOW DOWN. The manager tried to tell me the window was broke and they are not able to fix it. It came to their place working! The manager was very rude when talking to him about fixing this issue, even saying that someone there should have told me about this problem. Once my SUV was towed from their lot to the auto dealership to be traded in, the auto dealership finds that parts of my engine is missing and that instead of repairing the problem it would now have to have a new engine replaced. Who does not put parts back in a car knowing it is leaving its lot? Why would you put a car in your lot with the window down at any time? I will never use this place again. I spent over $300 for no repair and rude service.

Communication from them was top notch. Car is working great after having some pretty extensive repairs done. Price was very reasonable. Ill definitely be taking my cars back there.

I went to Jacks because I needed some front end work done on my truck. They called me with an estimate, and I had $1600 of repairs done on my vehicle. As I analyzed the bill, I noticed that I was charged $110 for the estimate. I asked if it was their policy to charge for an estimate, then not take it off the bill if the repairs are done. I was told that front end estimates were $110, and it would not be taken off when repairs are done. Even for a $1600 repair? Really? Now I know, and this is why the one star review. It appears that the work was done properly, but this behavior will cause me to go elsewhere in the future. Ill also share this information as often as I can. Ridiculous.

Excellent experience at Jacks. They towed our broken vehicle from 40 miles away on I-80. The tow truck driver, Ryan, was friendly and shared helpful advice with us on the ride. The tow cost was subsidized by our insurance company. We sat in their waiting room for a couple of hours as the mechanics at the shop were diagnosing the problem. Their waiting room was spacious and comfortable, with good magazines, TV news, vending, and a couple of entertaining parrots.The fuel pump needed to be replaced, and the service rep, Jeff, was able to get us a good deal on a used part. The shop provided us with a loaner vehicle, which was very helpful, as we were visiting from out of town for a wedding. Jeff was considerate in asking us what time the wedding was (the following day) to be sure that we could pick the car up at a time that fit our schedule. The repair was finished ahead of schedule.

Brought two of my cars here on different occasions. Each time Deb was very nice and helpful. She called me a few times through the day to give me updates. Their turn around time is fairly decent even for walk ins. Their rewards program is also very useful. Will be coming back

Went to get alignment day after new tires truck had no pull just little tiny bit of vibration waited 1 hr or alignment not complaining ... then left truck pulled really bad to the left called they said bring it back ( huge inconvenience for me as I need someone to watch my kids longer now) wait anothher 20 30 min they say ok it should be adjusted right now i say ok and truck still pulling to the left bad ... i am going on a 13 hr trip Monday this was the only place I could get my vehicle into b4 then and this is a huge inconvenience now to me to habe my vehicle worse then it was when I took it in and now Im gonna have to fight this pull this whole 13 hr drive

I brought my 1987 Ford F350 down to be aligned and I could not be more pleased. They informed me of another front end problem I was unaware of and, not only did they fix it, they came in under the estimate. Plus, I had my truck back the same day. Monson Truck and Trailer recommended Jacks for the alignment and I am glad I brought my truck to them. This is a mechanic I trust and I will be back, guaranteed.

We were on vacation when we broke down. We were in a 32 foot Motorhome. Three adults and three children. Jakes came to our rescue. Eric was the towtruck driver. He towed us to the shop. We ate lunch in their beautiful waiting room at their large dinning table. Within three hours from the time we broke down until we were back on the road. Eric was our night in shinning armour and Jakes saved our vacation.

On our way back to Kansas from E. Lansing, MI, our 2015 vehicle shut down completely. We ended up at a Caseys general store in Davenport. We called AAA, and a wonderful driver towed us and our dog to Jacks, only blocks away. It was late afternoon and we thought we would have to stay overnight, but Jacks identified the problem quickly, sent out for the parts, and stayed late to get us on the road again. We were so grateful for the friendly customer service, and the excellent workmanship of the mechanic. We have never had a better experience! Thanks to Joe Grubbs and his staf!The Millers!

If I had a to use a phrase to describe this place and more specifically Kevin the worker, I would say Miracle Workers. I Had car problems at 7:00a.m. called in, they answered and were able to take my car in. They were very busy and not sure if they would be able to get to my car until the weekend. At 8:00a.m. I got a call saying my car was done (went from not drivable to working like new). They were very friendly, caring, personable and appeared to have your finances in their best interest. Will definitely return if future problems arise.

The guys at JBA are awesome. I have a pretty large truck and most places dont have a lift for it or wont work on it. Took it in for a brake flush and they did a great job. Very friendly. Great prices compared to most other places. And you get a small discount if you pay with cash!

My boyfriend Went in with an 84 Chevy van/RV a while back to get some electrical work. Battery isolator was one of the problems. This is why I thought this place was terrible.1) charging me to rebuild a carburetor, when it probably just needed to be tuned to the altitude.2) replaced the distributor and cap that I had already replaced a couple months before and then didnt tighten it down correctly, which then later caused my vehicles timing to be completely that I later had to fix.3) they removed the electrical solenoid cut off and didnt replace it, instead they linked the two batteries together, which was against the owners manual by the way.Dont make the mistake of telling them what your budget is because they will take you for a ride, he paid 2,100 dollars basically felt forced to because they fixed and replaced countless things he didnt even ask them to. It was completely ridiculous! Oh and if youre wondering if the vehicle made it the 3 hours home it was assured to make after all of the expenses, it didnt! We still had to get it towed shortly after we left the mechanics. What a joke, what a scam, dont go here, theyre careless and dont care about their clientele. They also had him sign paperwork that said he couldnt leave them a bad review.... how sketchy is that, so thats why Im writing this because people need to know! Dont sign without reading, dont tell them what your budget is, and definitely get everything re checked because apparently they have an issue with tightening nuts and bolts around there. Im so disappointed these places exist, shame on you jacks break and alignment!

These people are life savera and very dedicated to their work and their clients. They took a look at my whole front end to ensure there was nothing more wrong than what needed repaired. They were more than fair with their pricing and got it fixed the same day they inspected it. They even gave good recommendations on tires and other parts I asked about. Ill be back!

Jacks completley messed up a simple brake and suspension job. The upper ball joint spindle was only tightened finger tight, and the new wheel speed sensor they replaced was literally cut in two.As a former mechanic, I know this type of sloppiness can get people killed. When I contacted their service manager, he refused to take any ownership of their mistakes. Avoid this place at all costs!Nice fake reviews. How much you pay for them? Had my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for rear axle seal leaking in oct 2018 with 67700 miles on vehicle Cost 300.00 $80 for seal $220 labor now 8 months and mileage at 72200 it is leaking again charged me $535.00 to replace seal and wheel bearing that was destroyed somehow.original estimate was $1100.00 to replace damaged axle shaft. Declined axle shaft so now no warranty on the work or parts be very careful if you go there

I have always been weird about taking my car places to get fixed but this time we were at a lose with what was wrong with it. Took it to jacks they fixed it. Same day it broke down again and they towed it back to their shop for free and even found the problem! Fixed the small issue that day and didn’t even charge me for it. They were super helpful and nice the whole time. I will continue to take my car here. 🤗

While on tour from Virginia, our van broke down due to the transmission calling it a night. After that evenings gig we had it towed by AAA to one of their approved shops, Jacks was the lucky one chosen. As soon as Jacks opened the following morning I called and within two hours they had the van diagnosed with an estimate! Several hours later after handling logistics on my end, they allowed us to store the van at their shop while we used a rental to get back home. Once home, a few days later we had the repairs issued and they found a rebuilt transmission rather quickly and the van running in less than three days! I scheduled a trip back and had it home in no time!Overall Jacks Brake And Alignment were more than understanding with my circumstance, didnt take advantage of it, were honest, caring and displayed genuine professionalism. I would recommend their business to anyone and if I find myself near Davenport again with car trouble, Jacks is where Ill go!

I had my teenage daughter car brought here when she became stranded for the 1st time in her driving career. After being given a ridiculously high quote (I know cause I called around) I sent my father down to have them complete the work. They were very demeaning to me. Upon getting the car back I learned that they didnt do ANY of the transmission work they quoted me, yet charged for struts and a flush. When my daughter complained that the car wasnt fixed they basically said sorry, it will be another $100 to investigate further. This place is a joke. They ripped me off and treated my daughter poorly. I will NEVER go here again and i will tell anyone that will listen to stay away from these guys! DONT DO IT

Worthless waste of time of money. NOBODY knows what they are doing. Told me things were wrong that were not over and over and over again. I trusted them to fix my car and to feel safe on the road. They repeatedly charged me for fixing things on my car that werent even wrong. I honestly wouldnt even trust them to do a simple oil change.

Anyone who has not used Jacks for services, must do so as soon as possible. Not only are they affordable, like so much so that your mouth will drop, but they are honest. There are a few other things wrong with my 1998 mini van. They could have tried to upsell me, but instead told me that the repairs could wait. None of them were urgen. They did a complete inpsection and printed it off for me, cost included. Now, I know the things that need repaired and can do so when I have the funds. This is the best place I have ever been too and will use them forever. Then, they gave me a percentage off of my next visit, which I can used on an oil change or whatever else I need. This is the best brake and tire company in the QCA hands down!!!!

Estimate was way overpriced had two more estimates for same work and both were over $400 dollars less. When i looked up the parts they put on the estimate they were all marked up ridiculous amounts, $120 a piece on two struts that is $240 they were just tacking on to the bill, be weary when taking your car here, always get another estimate, will save you over $400 most likely
