I called when the lid lock on our washer/dryer combo went out. They sent a tech out same day to diagnose. The tech was friendly and told me what was needed to fix it. I was required to prepay for the part and labor up front and promised 7-14 days for the part to come in and my washer to be repaired. Fast forward 4 weeks and I still have a washer I cannot use. I’ve called several times and they don’t have the part. Said it is back ordered, but on Whirlpool parts website (genuine manufacturer part), they can ship same day. I’ve bought a new laundry pair and am disputing with my bank. I do not recommend them if you want your appliances in working order in a timely manner.

I hired this company and they came out on March 2 to repair my washer they looked at my washer and said they needed to order a part before they could fix it that’s fine they told me would take two weeks for the part to come in. I pay them a fee that also include it the cost of the part fast forward to April 23 they have yet to fix my washer every time not called they say the part is not in I don’t understand what’s going on The people in the office that I have spoke to several times have not given me information of why it’s taking longer than normal. and does not take a month and a half for a part to come in. very disappointed I wish they would just give me my money back so I can hire someone else.

I had a great experience with ALC Appliance Repair.I was able to schedule an appointment very soon after I called and their tech did as I asked and called me when he was about one hour from arriving. This helped me by minimizing my unpaid time away from work. It’s Better for my employer also.Their price to come out is half of the agency I was referred to by Samsung.To give you a comparison.The agency Samsung referred me to had a wait time that exceeded one month, and their trip charge was almost $200 . ALC trip charge was just under $100 and they could have come the next day if I had been available. Chris their tech was polite and had no problem removing his shoes as he entered our home and worked efficiently. Katie always answered my calls promptly and efficiently and followed through on all the details that were important to me.GREAT WORK ALC, CHRIS AND KATIE.They have definitely earned my repeat business

I have home warranty and went through 3 service providers (all bad) until Old Republic allowed me to choose my own provider. I chose ALC appliance, same day service and was quick to determine the issue. Katie (receptionist) is AWESOME. She set it up and followed up within the same day. Would use ALC appliance repair again.

To anyone thinking about using this company, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I promise you that anything they have to offer is only grief. I called them regarding my barely used washer and an issue it’s having. A young tech comes out for their $89 service charge to tell me he turned on the “self clean” function and said that would resolve the issue. Shocker, it didn’t. I call back and a slightly older person comes out to say I need a new control panel. I had the conversation that for the part price with labor, it’s almost worth replacing totally. Repair man says, this will get you at least another 5-7 years out of this unit. I pay nearly $400 up front. 5-6 weeks go by and they never call to update me on the status of my part. I call and magically, it’s going to arrive the following day. The person comes out, replaces it. Guess what. The issue is not resolved. I call back and the lady looks up my account to see what work they’ve done for me. She tells me my control panel was replaced and the last one smelled like an electrical burn. It’s a straight lie because I have the nose of a hound dog and more of CYA. I ask for a technician to come back out and resolve the issue because they clearly replaced a properly functioning part and I was told someone would call me. Now another 2 weeks have come and gone with no call back. I should’ve read more reviews. The time and energy coupled with the money I’ve paid these scam artists would have bought a new washer already. SAVE YOUR ENERGY AND SKIP THESE SCAM ARTISTS.

DO NOT CALL, THIS IS A SCAM. Take a look at their Better Business rating.I’ve been living with an ice chest for ice because the ice/water no longer works. Repairman came and said I needed a new filter head assembly for my LG refrigerator. He said the part would require one month to receive and wanted full payment up front. Six weeks later I called and was told the part was still on order. I went online, purchased the required part and had it delivered within five days. Called ALC to work out arrangements and request partial refund. I was told they do not do refunds.

They came in our home and required prepayment of part for over $400 . After no response for four weeks we called and called . They finally called back and said they had ordered incorrect part . That was weeks ago and still no refund or repair . They also will not send any type verification of part being shipped only to say it is but can’t send anything showing that to be true .Since then we talked with next door neighbor about who they use and as it turns out they went through the same paying in advance in the past with this company where they had to prepayand then later were told wrong part was ordered . We are 6 weeks past time we paid and still no resolution., refund, part or verification of part . When I called them today they said they may be able to give a response in 2 weeks from now !!Makes me concerned if this is a real company or not . Be carful

A technician appeared on 6/1/2020 explained I needed two parts for my refrigerator and the estimated time to be repaired would be 4-7 days. I paid cash for the entire bill. It’s now 6/19/2020 and my refrigerator is still broken.I have called the office in Florida, which had excellent reviews, over the last two weeks and have been told the part has shipped but not received by them. When I ask for a tracking number they can’t supply that. I asked to speak to the owner or supervisor and one has not called me. I can’t believe looking at the reviews in the Alabama office that this company is still in business.

I paid them over $400 to fix my dryer over 3 weeks ago. They said they had to order the part but it would be 3-5 days and they would be back to install it. I still havent heard back from them. Now I have just bought a new dryer because I cant go without one. I have called and requested a refund. The dispatch lady has sent the request and I have still yet to have anyone return my calls. This is ridiculous and unacceptable! You shouldnt pay someone to do a job and just have them skip out with your money and then ignore your calls for a refund. You showed up to take the money. You didnt do the job so give the money back!

I do have some good things to say:Same day visitMaintenance guy was kind, prompt, respectful.However, we received a diagnosis that our refrigerator was not repairable and charged the $89 service fee. Later that evening my husband was able to follow the advice of another maintenance guy in our family to fix the issue. The problem seemed to be simple and something that should have been noticed by the representative who visited our home. I understand mistakes happen but $89 is a pretty hefty fee for an incorrect diagnosis, not to mention if we followed the advice given we would also be out hundreds for a new fridge. Glad we got a second opinion.

Bradley called 30 minutes out and arrived to do the work. All I can say is it is fixed, we are back up and running and we will go back to ALC when we need to fix my mistakes. Next time, I am not going to try to do it myself and mess it up; Im just calling for Bradley.

I have used ALC Appliance Repair twice in the past. Both time were a terrible experience. After paying the Service Man my deposit of $100.00, he did not come on the day promised to complete the repair. And still has not returned yet for almost three weeks to complete the repair. Also, I was told that there was no refunds on service calls. They said the part had not come in yet. When I paid my service fee, they said the part would be in from five to seven days, not two or three weeks. Please never use this company, they will rip you off and tell you THANK YOU!!!

A young person came out that was very inexperienced and not well versed at all. He never followed up for weeks and I had to call the office. He finally called me back and said he was ordering a knob. I never heard back for weeks and had to call the main office again. They offered no apology and no refund and the bad part is I lost nearly two months in this process for something simple. Poor skill and poor service.

My Lg washer broke. Took 3 times rescheduling with the tech to come out. They give me a time frame 3pm-6:30pm window waited till 8 at night twice just for them to call and cancel. Third time they said they be out around 11am finally around 4:30pm they showed. Said I needed a new drain pump I paid 190. Told me 3-5 business days. This was on June 30th now it’s July 22 still haven’t heard from them and they took my money. I now have purchased a new washer so I don’t need it fixed now anyways. Stay away from these scammers they are horrible. Stay away.

My washer went out so I called ALC due to their good reviews. They didnt disappoint. They were available for a same day appointment. The technician was knowledgeable and thorough and showed up on time. They are able to take cash, check, AND a card (convenient) and email invoice/receipts instantly. I did not go through with the repair because it will be cheaper to replace but will definitely be saving their contact info for future appliance repairs.

I understand people are busy but with appliance repair you expect some kind of urgency. I think 1-2 days is reasonable, most appliance repairmen make it in 1. All of the food in my freezer and refrigerator were ruined 3 different times waiting on someone to come out to look or a part to come in and then another 4-5 days for someone to make it out to install. They have shown up on holidays unannounced, and on other occasions rescheduled for an additional 4-5 days because of a busy schedule. Do not use this company!

The problem is I keep calling your office and no one answers or returns calls. I don’t know my work order number because I haven’t been given any paperwork whatsoever. Your tech put my card in his phone and then disappeared. If you want to speak with me, then return your voicemails. Or go by address: 10* Brentwood.Original: They came out 3 weeks ago and said they needed to order a part. Charged me $300, then didn’t turn back up for 3 weeks. Guy came back and installed the part. He started a cycle and left. Didn’t bother to see if it was fixed. It wasn’t. Still just as broken as before they came. So I called and spoke with a professional sounding lady. She said a tech would reach out to come back. That was 3 days ago, and they still haven’t called or returned my other voicemails.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I have been waiting for over a month to have a small hose replaced on my washing machine. I paid for the part and the service and cannot get an answer from this company. Tech came out and stated he had never worked on a front load washer before. Also didn’t have the right tools to do the job. I finally got fed up and got the part myself and repaired. Very unprofessional!!!

I totally recommend this company! My fridge was freezing over in the freezer and leaking water into my fridge and everything was starting to go bad in my fridge, every company I called couldn’t come for a week!! ALC sent some out the next day they were super professional and got it fixed fast and they are reasonably priced! I will be using them for anything I need in the future for my appliances!!

Just make sure they are an authorized repair dealer for your product if you think there may be warrenty work involved. I had a Kenmore refrigerator go out and when I called there was nothing asked about the unit, they just made an appointment. When tech arrived that’s when I was told they don’t do warrenty work on Kenmore. When owner called me he explained it’s the consumer responsibility before one calls a repair shop. Maybe so but Kenmore is such a popular brand the ones making the appt should know they don’t do warrenty. All I’m saying is don’t let them rush you into making the appt. Cost me $89 to learn this lesson!

Horrible experience. I have been strung along since October. We called alc appliance repair in october as our dryer would heat intermittently. They came a few days later and stated that the heating element went out after being there 5 minutes. We tried to tell them about a resetable solenoid as it fit the symptoms of what the dryer was doing and that we needed a new vent pipe as lowes delivery evidently popped a hole in it.(evidently completely ignored as it wasnt on their list) . We payed for the parts and labor and they said they would have to order it, no big deal. So 2 weeks later they come out replace the heating element but didnt do the pipe like asked and said to just put a piece of tape on it. The dryer seemed to be working for about 3 days and went out again. They gave a 6 month warrenty so we called them back and a different person came back out a few days later and stated the element went back out and looked into the vent pipe this time that evidently had a few pin holes in it. They stated we needed to run a side vent kit. Well we agreed payed and they stated it will be a couple of more weeks. Well a couple of more weeks a different guy came out threw it together and evidently never checked it and left, as the first time I went to check the dryer it never worked. So I called them again they said they would come back out in a few days. A few days later the boss showed up. I explained to him that we told the first guy about the symptoms and that there was a solenoid that could be tripping. He states that only some of the newer dryers have them. He checked it and sure enough the dryer had one and it was bad. They stated they would have to order the part. I had little faith at this point but they stated they would overnight it and be here in 2 days to do the work and if not we could do a refund well 2 days later they came back out . Put in the part and nothing worked. I was over at this point as it was months in and I told them I wanted a refund. They said well its got to be the computer as thats all thats left but couldnt test to know for sure and they would order it and get it in in about a week. I said no and spoke with a lady on the phone about the refund. We agreed on a refund (not the full price of over $600.) And she stated it would take 2 weeks to get it in the mail. Great I thought. Although extremely frustrating it was at this point still cordial with no high tempers or anything of the sort. Welp 2 weeks passed a month passed so I called spoke with dispatch and she told me she would send a report and figure out why it is still pending. Never recieve a call. I call back over a week later same answer asked for a call back and nothing again. I have spent a lot of money for a dryer that didnt work I spent a few hundred more for the exact matching dryer as its a matching set than what I payed them to do stuff to not fix the old one. All i wanted was for the company to communicate and do what they said they would do but it has been far from that as now i have just payed them to waste my time. Im not sure how a company can run like this . Horrible experience.wasted months and I still dont have my refund.

ALC Appliance Repair is the most reliable company I have delt with. They are acurate, on time and doing all they can to repair your appliance in a timely manner. The Service Man is well mannered and knowledgable about the equipment. They helped with a gas leak which could have endangered my health and life. They came same day on Three occasions to resolve the problem always with a caring attitude. They resolved the problem with the proper steps and assistance I needed. P.S.
