If your credit score isnt 700 or more & your not on section 8 dont waste your time. Real scam to get NONREFUNDABLE application fees then to call you 2 days later to tell you why you gotten denied.

Moving from out of state and thought everything was good to go. Get here to found the house at 137 southland dr Danville, VA 24541 was not clean to my standards. I was told they would do basic cleaning. Went the next day and fireplace, storage and floor was still dirty. I was told I could get out the lease with full refund. I advise them i would get back with them. That night I had someone to clean the house, at that time we found in the cabinet what looks to be mold also the ac was leaking water with mold on it and ceiling was wet in the den area. Next day I told them I will take that offer to get out my lease with full refund. Later that day they say the owner changed her mind and not refund everything, but still refund the deposit. That day i turned in the keys. Day after that I was told the owner changed her mind again and decided to only refund the money from the day we turned in keys till the end of the month. My issue is wilkins & co, told me I could get out the lease before I found what I believe is mold with a full refund. But after I turned in keys that changed completely and no one wanted to stand on that. They then offer to give me the keys back, by then utilities was already turned off. And the mold still wasnt tested and the ceiling still was wet. Of course I dont want to move in this house without these things being taken care of and with no one standing on their word. My God is an amazing God and what I hate is I never get to see the common when it come back. I just hope yall think about me when it do 😉

The company is ok but they could do better with their properties. I just feel they want do what needs to be done to make some of their properties good places to live. I understand guidelines but all it takes is one bad apple to depreciate an area.

I cant say enough good things about the professionalism of the property manager Mrs. Rosa D. Link. She showed me a number of properties and was very knowledgeable about each. The property that we settled on is perfect for us!! We love the grounds, they are beautiful. We have only had a few minor maintenance requests and they were responded to within 24 hours and completed. The communication between us, the property manage and maintenance is above reproach. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. Mrs. Link has made the moving process so easy and has made herself available to us for anything that we needed! This is service that cant be taught or trained and we are so happy that Wilkins has someone like this on their staff! We highly recommend them for your moving needs!

This is my first experience with dealing with Wilkins Reality and Company. I am a physician in Danville and was in urgent need of living space. Not only did Mr. Wilkins immediately contact me, but I had a real estate agent call me with the hour. The very next day I had living arrangements. This process takes weeks usually. This excellent service was not due to me being a high profile physician, but I have found out from others that this is their normal mode of operation. They also handle my business property as well and I have been here for 13 years and never experienced a delay if I had an issue. I cannot recommend Mr. Wilkins and Mr. Bob Echols enough. They are the most compassionate human beings I have met. It has been a honor and privilege to know them and to have them on my team watching out for my interests. I rented A 2 Bedroom Apartment from Wilkins Realtor In Danville VA I Hesitated to rent thru them and now I see why, I signed a 12 month lease. I started Having Problems immediately after moving into the apartment. The problem that I Was Having In The Apartment Everytime I would cook the apartment would become very wet and very drenched. Everytime I cooked I would have to use several fans to dry the floors and Use a mop to mop the water up. This is all adding up to mold. I did contact Wilkins and let them know what The problem was. They explained to me that the owners of this property Was new owners, They only had the apartment for several months. It was explained to me that the owners was not interested in fixing the problems. I did get in contact with my lawyer and I requested to get let out of my lease. They agreed to Let me out my lease. They let me out February 2020. My family and I clean the apartment including stove and refrigerator. We did a moove out inspection. We Also took pictures. We Also have a witness to theI partmentt being clean. I forgot to mention that The toilet was not steardy. The screws was not screwed in all the way. I asked them to replace the screws and replaced it and charge me $45 I didnt agree to pay it. I moved out February 2020. My family and I cleaned the apartment including stove and refrigerator . Sweeping and mopping. I Did a inspection with one of the people. While he was taking pictures we was taking pictures Also we Moved out and gave them the keys . I request for my 475 to be returned to me I was told that it took 6 weeks to get a letter. In thsaisde letter with Wilkins realty Said I owed 46 dollars for the toilet, 175 dollars for cleaning the apartment and 840 for paint we were only inthe apartment for 4 months. I guess this is retaliation for moving out of the apartment. So they took my deposit and saying that I owe them a outstanding balance of 546 which is false. Landlord and owner are like scam artist in my opinion I would not recommend any of my friends and family to rent from them

November 24, 2017.Great Job Wilkins and Company.Hampton and the team did us a fantastic job from the first call, to the first meeting with my Mother Mary and I, to meeting the team, to listing the home and setting up Video and Pictures, all the way through the close.My mother had owned the home for about 20 years and was moving to NC to live with family. She is 89 years old and had just came out of the Hospital and Rehabilitation Facility. Hampton and his team made me, and more importantly Mary, feel very comfortable with them handling the sale of our home.The market was very slow in Danville Va, and there were more than 700-800 homes on the market and it was taking 6 months or more to sell your home. Hampton and the team did our comps and priced the house so we could sell it before the Holidays. We had many showings and within a week or two had two offers. We sold the home in 2 1/2 weeks! WOW! UNBELIEVABLE!The Wilkins team then went on to handle all aspects of the close, attorneys, Cleaning, etc. They got the home ready and the buyers actually moved in early. The process had a few hitches but Wilkins and Company handled them quickly and we never really knew they even existed.We give them 5 out of 5 Stars. Thank God for honest good realtors unlike Wilkins.We didn’t give up and hopefully next year we can buy our house,and of course not with Wilkins.

This has been a terrible experience! We are going on well over a year. We have invested thousands in renovations going off the advice of Wilkins that we should have originally listed at $169. We are well below that price now. We were pressured to get renovations complete in May to close and have still not closed. We were told May, then June and now we are being told the end of July. I wonder if the buyer can even afford the house. Something Wilkins should have determined before we moved forward with this deal. Id be surprised if we actually close at the end of July. One star is far to generous for Wilkins. We are getting a raw deal. They have FAILED across the board.

I called to ask if they could help me and my boyfriend find a place to rent and she just hung up the phone on me without saying anything. Based on this. I would never recommend this company even if i had to.

I was sold on a lease on a house that had a horrible bat infestation as well as horrible pluming and mold issues for almost 900 dollars a month. Living in this leased location for 4 months ended up doing over 2000 dollars of damages to my guitar collection thanks to neglect of Wilkins and they had the nerve to state they would take me to court if I left. Thankfully they did not follow though however I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing a lease with them unless you have everything on the property inspected thoroughly before making your decision.

We have been renting an apartment through Wilkins for several months and we have had a terrible time getting in touch with the property manager, Joie Ford. She refuses to return our calls on several occasions leading us to bother our landlord directly. We love our apartment and our landlord but dont expect Wilkins & Co to resolve your issues with any speed or concern whatsoever.

I have never rented from them but I did look at alot of properties the had available and I must say they got some good looking house available

I’m only giving them a star because I’m not able to give them a lower score. They’re very unprofessional, while trying to purchase a house through them they kept giving me a run around. They would tell me I needed this and that and blah blah blah. I had to go to them 5 times before I had all the information I needed by that point I was done and just gave up on finding a house through them.

Nice Neighborhoods for the whites with high credit scores,i bet even with a not so high credit score.Bad neighborhoods for the blacks and lacking on credit score.I observed many blacks going into wilkins applying for what we callnice neighborhoods get turned down but of course the application will stay on file for 90 days until a more suitable neighborhood becomes available..Every place i ever rented i had a excellent rental history.Most of my landlords did not want to loose me or my husband as tentants.Those things do not be taken in to consideration, because i know for a fact my previous landlords were not contacted,because if they had been they would have no doubt gave my husband and i a great reference.I may not have the best score,but one thing my husband and i have always manage was to pay our rent on time.We are honest people.We even rented from a policemen once for 3 years and even when he see us now, he would tell us that my husband and i were one of his best tenants .The only reason why we are leaving our current residence because its not well insulated and the house gets very cold,but our current landlord had told us on many occasions that we are his best tenants and he hate to loose us.He has done a lot to try and get the house insulated to keep us there but it is a old house and it still gets very cold.We have lived there for 3 years and he is a great landlord but the house is just to cold which makes the light bill very high but still even with a high light bill we are never late on our rent.Of course thats alright,just because wilkins is to bias to rent to us I am sure my husband and i will find a better realtor.One that is not bias to rent to us in a nice neighborhood and we will continue to work on our credit and when that time comes to buy our home you can best believe it will not be with Wilkins realtor.
