This place was very nice to be in a small town, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and fresh.
They need a bath mat in the tub. Dont get the room beside the elevator it keeps you up all night running for customers. 2nd floor smelled like propane gas. They need to rent to customers that live in town also. Discrimination to town folk. The market and food should be free high as they are. Other than that its ok.
Decent place. Nice staff and clean pet friendly rooms.
Positive: Hotel employee at front desk is amazing !
Positive: Room was fantastic, bed was super comfortable and everything was very clean. Negative: Understaffed! We had to wait for several minutes to checkout as the front desk person was also resupplying food.
Nice clean rooms with friendly staff. Full bar which was nice.
Called to get room rates. I asked do thet give Veterans discount. Their reply was its not available tonite pretty stupid reply. I hung up.
Thank you Tiffanie H.! She was efficient, accommodating, and insightful. Made me feel comfortable in an unfamiliar area. First time away from home since COVID started a year ago. Room was clean and stylish. TY!
Very nice. Didnt have any cigarette smell. Super comfortable rooms and no issues with the wireless. I would stay there again.
Nice place way to high for the area and amenities. It seems the trend of hotels here as of lately are trying to double down on their profits since covid.
Bar open, just cant sit there. Rooms clean and quiet.
Typical Marriot. Nice rooms & friendly staff. Also theres a little bar in the lobby.
Positive: Location & customer svc were outstanding
Very caring staff. Great Bistro foods and very clean. Thank you for being there!
Standard Courtyard in a good location for travel just outside downtown Danville. Nothing within walking distance for food but a few minutes drive down the road in either direction are plenty of options.Check in was ready and rooms were clean. Not recently updated but not old either. Internet was good. Tv was fine for one night but old school style with no guide or smart internet functionality as are present at many other Courtyards.Rate was a little high for the area, Ive paid less for Marriott portfolio hotels in Bristol and Northern Virgina.
Very clean place with great staff! If your in the area stop here!
Stayed a little under a week for work. Staff was all nice and helpful, hotel was nice, hot water was heavenly. Wasnt too impressed with the limited restaurant menu, ate out instead.Only 2 complaints: The humidity-stuff wasnt drying in my room and my carpet felt damp and the air was very sticky. And the people next door to me that decided to turn my floor into a club at 1am for a birthday party. I wish they wouldve been kicked out since they were intentionally ignoring the front desk and guests but the woman at the desk was very helpful and in getting me relocated to the other end of the hall. Ultimately it was a good place to stay long-term.
It was ok, but wasnt really impressed with hotel. Maid was nice.
Great service
Very clean was extremely impressed... Staff members were very polite... I would recomend this hotel to anyone
Very nice hotel. Staff is very well trained and friendly. The rooms are well cleaned and the housekeeping kept everything nice and clean. Will stay here again.
The entire staff at this hotel was excellent. They were all very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. This was a very important stay because it was the weekend of my wedding. We blocked rooms and had many family and friends staying here. The experience was excellent. I very much appreciate everyone involved.
Positive: Clean. Excellent location in town. Great staff. Negative: No.
Great staff, very friendly. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean.
Drink rings on the nightstand so room obviously not cleaned for Covid. Mold in the shower. No free breakfast, but instead a Bistro and a Starbucks in the lobby (get real). 2 stars for comfortable bed and pillows, though every hotel chain should have that figured out by now.
Very nice and clean...stayed because power outage i Southside Va.i think we should have gotten a discount but I guess its business
This Courtyard is a great place to stay. The people are friendly, the rooms are nice and clean and the food in the bistro is pretty good as well. Cant go wrong here and this is my go to place when staying in Danville.
We especially enjoyed the sofa in the room so we had a comfortable area to be while in the room. This hotel would have gotten a 5 instead of a 4, if it would have provided a complimentary hot breatfast. Otherwise, we I enjoyed our stay very much. Nice relaxing room.
Had to spend the night and we chose this place. Great choice.
The check in was great, quick. parking was great.the Room was good. The bed was not as comfortable as the Comfort Inns bed and pillow. Great sleep leads to a healthy life. Sleep is vital. Other than that, great quiet comfortable stay. The showers are nice and modern! Pillow gifts would be a great added gesture.
Personnel and service is second to none. Everyone went above my expectations. The rooms are moody, efficient and modern. It feels better than a hotel room. The menu is healthy and unique. This is my first choice of accommodations when traveling.
My husband and I stayed at this Marriott for 2 nights since we were in town for a wedding. The most outstanding service was from the Bistro waitress, Tina, who could not have been more accommodating, pleasant and made you feel so welcome. (She also made a fabulous French 77!) The night of the wedding our group of friends came in after closing time for the Bistro. Tina held the bar open and waited on us like she had hours before she got off for the night.Tiffany at the front desk was also very accommodating. She found a different pillow for me which made my 2nd night a much more restful one that the first. We left feeling like we received top of the line service.
The best ever front facing staff I ever encountered. Real, polite, courteous, professional and very warm smile. Beautiful, very clean well maintained property, and very good amenities. Thank you Tiffany and Hanna for making us feel very welcome and just home.
Very nice and clean room. Up to date appearance left us with a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Tina, who ran the bar was wonderful. Very pleasant and very capable. We came in late from a wedding and she kept the bar open late for our big group and made our stay very enjoyable. Everyone we dealt with at the motel was extremely nice and helpful.
I stay at this hotel at least 10-12 times a year and always get the same great service. I love the check in process, they are always welcoming and fast. the Bistro area has delicious food and a huge variety of beer and wine. The seating area is perfect to unwind after a long day. Both the bistro staff in the evening and morning are super friendly and the food is really good. I also love the new upgrades in the suites. This hotel is always clean and accommodating. I look forward to my stays in Danville. Also, across the street there is a nice asphalt walking track that is about 3 miles along the river. It is a beautiful walk, safe and a lot of people use the path for biking or walk/jog.
Love this hotel best in Danville Va
This is a great find. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are big and clean. The best is the Bistro where you can get a nice glass of wine and some actual quality food. In the morning I just called in my breakfast order for Avocado toast and eggs and Starbucks coffee and picked it up on my way to the job site. Really good experience.
Great place to stay
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice new bar/restaurant area. Likely the nicest hotel in the area, but also the most expensive, up to $180 per night after tax.
The mattress and pillows are beyond comfortable! Rooms are spacious. They don’t have military discounts on weekends. My husband used his credit card and was charged 3 times over $200 for a 2 night stay. When we called to see what was the issue they told us 2 of the payments were pending and we had to wait 5-10 business days for the money to be refunded.
The Courtyard in Danville, never fails to amaze me. The time you enter the building the Front Desk attendant Tracey is always smiling and gives OUTSTANDING Customer Service. She remembers your name and always ask about my family. The room attendants are friendly as well. They are always willing to assist you with anything that you ask for regardless to what floor you are residing on. The training and just overall demeanor of the team deserves to be applauded .
Whenever I have to travel to Danville I will make sure to stay at this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly during check in and check out. The gym was open 24 hours which is perfect for me because I like to work out late. They had an elliptical, two treadmills, a stationary bike, and free weights. Also, everything worked which I cant say about most hotel gyms.
My husband and I stayed here for a wedding, and we had a fantastic experience! The rooms are nice and clean. The lobby is very modern and welcoming with a nice restaurant/bar area that really adds to it. And the fitness center was also great, offering both cardio and weights. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience!
Overall great place. Due to no power from hurricane we had to stay here for 2 days. It was a great, clean place to stay. The only issue was the cable was out so we had to use other means like phones, macs, and things with Wi-Fi to have tv. I still enjoyed my stay and Im thankful they were not booked like all the others.
I came here on June 26 2019 and booked room for 3 nights, after 1 night we could only stay 2 nights, desk attendant told me that was fine and would only be billed for the 2 nights which would be $347.66 with taxes, so I checked my bank statement and I was charged $570, desk attendant said it would take 5 days for me to get a credit back to my bank, she stated when you use a debit card they bill you extra, so be aware, I’ve never been done like this anywhere I’ll never stay here again
We were in town for 1 night. We were picking our son up from HMA the next day. The hotel and staff were very nice and wouldn’t hesitate staying there again. Only complaint I have is it doesn’t have a free breakfast like most mid priced hotels do. So we ate breakfast at Biscuit World across the street.
Was kind of just ok unfortunately. Started off with an empty reception desk that I had to wait for several minutes to get checked in. Staff member that finally came out was not unfriendly, but definitely not friendly. Was provided a first floor room, when my profile has always requested a higher floor. On the plus side, good location for the area, hotel was clean, and overall it probably would have been a four star minus the check in experience.
This place is magnificent. The front desk staff were warm, accommodating, and so helpful. The Bistro Bar is sheer perfection, with friendly staff and delicious food. Truly, a fantastic experience. We will be back.
We came into town for a wedding and the front desk staff was very courteous and was able to check us into our room over an hour early, which I really appreciated! This hotel was decorated very nicely and seemed very clean. Our room was very clean. It was nice that the vanity was outside of the bathroom. Our room came with a mini refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker. Overall, I was very impressed and I would definitely stay here again!
This was a very pleasant stay. The staff in the Bistro for the Happy Hour were very very nice and made excellent adult beverages. Lots of parking and nice welcoming lobby.
We visited Danville to see family and decided to stay here. The hotel has been renovated in areas and is nicely appointed. Our room was clean and housekeeping did a very good job. We enjoyed drinks at the bistro and swimming in the pool. The breakfast staff was the weak link and were more interested in talking to themselves than the customers so we left for breakfast elsewhere.

This was one of the nicest hotels Ive ever been to and I think a very good deal as far as the kind of room you get, the kind of service you get, and the price. Normally I wouldnt pay that much for a room but after everything that I got out of it I would definitely consider paying that much again. This hotel is pet-friendly, there is a pet fee, however it was waived because we were evacuating from a hurricane in our area. If I ever go through Danville again I will certainly stay at this hotel. Extremely pleased with everything about this hotel!
Starting with the front desk Tracy and Diamond were great, they helped with anything I needed, and Tracy has always been the best. She has been with this particular Marriott for a few years, and every time I stay with them, she does her best at getting me a room with a view and on the top floor. Domestic Engineers, Jackie was great, she is so good at communicating with the guests and helping with anything possible. Also, Samantha was great too; she is the supervisor of the Domestic Department. The restaurant Stacy, Bridget, Samantha, and John were very helpful and accommodating. If its not on the menu, they do their best to make it unique for you. THere was one slight hick-up, and that was a young woman in the restaurant, she is a person of color (name uncertain), but she has blonde hair. THere was one evening I had planned to have dinner, and she had friends sitting at one of the booths, and she was sitting down with them along with having her feet propped up on a chair. The reason I decided to go outside of the hotel for dinner was strictly that she was socializing with friends and didnt appear to be working and it was a bit intimidating. However, it was a great visit, and I plan to return sometime in January of 2018.
Rooms were fine. Even though we booked quite a few rooms for a wedding event they still charged us extra to reserve the meeting room to host a brunch. And also charged for pots of coffee for our guests.
What a nice, lodge-y feel. Staff is great. Bar to come back to at night. Pool was just right. Lovely!
Visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. This was our 3rd visit to this same hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice place and close to everything. This is our go to place to stay when we are in town.
A great location close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Quiet very clean would definitely stay here again
We come to Danville quit a bit to visit our daughter at Averett University and attend sporting events. Every time we stay at the Courtyard and every time it is a great experience. The hotl is modern, always clean! Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy! Whenever needing a drink/snack their convince store has it and their lobby bistro has wonderful food and fantastic service! Definitely make this your stay when near Danville, VA!
Friendly staff, full service Bistro, and luxurious rooms make for a great stay in Danville.
I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, I the service from the receptionist was poor and rude, the toilet will not flush within 5 minutes of settling in the room, I reported it to the receptionist and she gives me a plunger to go do it myself starting she doent have house keepers to fix the problem, I was very disgusted and surprised but because I had children with me I took the plunger and unclogged the toilet and left the plunger in the hall way. I woke up to my surprise to find out the plunger was still in the hall way until 1145am and I saw house keeping going around without even worried about the toilet plunger being in the hall way it looked normal for them. I would not recommend to snyone
The Courtyard in Danville is a great hotel. It is always clean and well appointed. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I love having Starbucks in the lobby. The hotel is up to date.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room. There were all the power outlets one could need, most of them cleverly incorporated into furniture.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk staff were welcoming and helped us find the best room to accommodate traveling with our infant. The cleaning staff were prompt in delivering our extra towels and pillows. The room, gym and grounds were very clean. The pool and gazebo area out back needed to be cleaned up and furniture straightened. Other than that it was a great stay. I mentioned to the front desk staff that the 3rd floor ice machine needed cleaning because I did have several pieces of ice from there that had frozen dirt in them. This is by far the best hotel in Danville and we would stay again if in the area.
The staff is the greatest!
This is a great place to stay. Danville is a lovely city to explore--combining the old with the new. The hotel is clean and safe; we appreciated the pet friendly policy since we have to travel with a pet. The hotel is priced-right. We enjoyed the breakfast selections: food was freshly prepared and made an appealing presentation. Service was excellent. Staff is polite and friendly.
Excellent hotel. Clean & very comfortable. Staff very friendly & informative. Great accommodations for that area.
The property was clean, stylish and comfortable. Most important was the outstanding hospitality exhibited by everyone on the staff. As we were there for a family funeral, the TLC meant so much to us. The design of the property really promoted our gathering in various areas to visit with family. The food was excellent, something for everyone. It was pretty amazing the variety and quality of the food and drink offering. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel!
Every aspect was very good. Rooms very clean and newly remodelled. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Nicely landscaped grounds with friendly staff.Only complaint was in-room refrigerator lacked adjustment controls and was too cold slightly freezing foods placed inside. Reported to front desk when checking out and was told problem would be reported .I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when next in Danville.
The facilities were clean and well maintained. Rooms have small refrigerator which is a nice touch. The staff was competent. Quiet location with lots of parking. They were quick to recognize my elite status. Wish Courtyards provided complementary breakfast, but this is not a negative reflection on this hotel, as that is a national policy. Good location, near mall and downtown. Would stay here again.
I want to know if my refrigerator get cold
It was the best hotel experience Ive ever had, ever! Everything and everyone was perfect, like I just cant believe how excellent! Everyone ... housekeeping, Bistro workers, front desk clerks. My room was immaculate! The Bistro staff was friendly and fun to talk with. While the front desk workers were busy checking in guests and taking calls, they were very efficient and confidently answered my questions.I drove in from 3 hours away, and was pretty tired when I arrived. But with excellent service and cozy room to stay, I rested very well and was able to take on a 5 hour, 40 minute medical coding exam the next morning and drive 3 hours back home.Well done Marriott!!! Theres no way I could have made it through such a long, challenging day without a proper nights rest! Thank you!
I had to pay every time I had breakfast in my previous stay... Hotel is nicely located for my needs and very well maintained but the breakfast situation made the difference at selecting where to stay. Now, I had free breakfast (I know nothing is free after all) without having to make a transaction every time.
Very nice facility. Online check-in was helpful. Room was ready and met my expectations according to my profile. I wish there was a menu in the room; however, room service was quick and efficient. The hotel market needs more supplies. Check-out was a breeze. I would definitely stay again.
After a six hour drive to Danville, this was the most amazing bed every. We arrived late, we were greeted with smiling staff at the front desk and clean and inviting rooms. I only wish the bar remained open ast 10 pm-would have been nice to have a nite cap.
The new Courtyard Marriott updates throughout the country are stylish and efficient. Very happy with this moderately priced hotel. Beds are super comfy and the Starbucks coffee in the Bistro is a huge PLUS. I need good coffee in the AM. Breakfast is not included and is a little pricey for what the dishes are. I feel it should be a tad less, but its ok and cannot complain. Service is not intrusive and efficient.
Recent renovations are great. Lobby to the rooms. Comfy couch, bed, flat screen TV, microwave and fridge. Just one problem the toilets are too low and no handicap rails. VERY CLEAN.
During a recent trip to Milton, NC, I stayed at the Courtyard in Danville, VA. From the time I made my reservations to checking out, the staff there provided outstanding service. While making reservations, I wanted to make sure that I could check-in early, so I called. Tracey answered, made note and could not make me any promises; however, she told me she was working in the morning and to give her a called—I did and it was all set.All employees that I came in contact with provided me with a warm smile and greeting. I’ve stayed in a few Courtyards, but I must say that I was impressed at the Courtyard in Danville! This was just good old customer service and it made for a good trip to a nice part of the U.S. Special thanks to Tracey, Bridgett and Anna
The hotel was clean, nice and up to date. Quick check in. Rooms were clean and very nice. Stay was quiet. We had no complaints. The only thing that would make this hotel a better value would be offering a complimentary breakfast.
Very nice hotel. Bistro is clean and good food. Friendly folks.
The hotel was remodeled last year and us beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Only negative thing is the suite is not what I would consider a suite. Its very small, but still clean and nice. Staff was very friendly.
They should offer a continental breakfast. The rooms were clean. The lobby and the parking lot was well it lit. Everyone including the patrons were really nice!
We enjoyed staying at the Courtyard Marriott. Check In was super easy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This establishment was very clean and the Bistro (diner in the hotel) was delicious! We would definitely re-visit this hotel.
Power and facilities were knocked out at my university, was one of the only hotels that allowed someone under 21 to book a room. Quick check in and check out, the people who work behind the desk did the utmost to make my stay as enjoyable as possible (all this while still recovering from a storm). Reasonable pricing considering the majority of hotels, were booked out and I paid when I got there (which would usually be more then if I had booked online). If I need to stay at a hotel anytime soon in Danville, this is where I would stay.
Most of the staff is friendly. The hotel rooms need some upkeep. The bathrooms needs some upkeep and maintenance. The menu at the Bistro could be a bit more inclusive of fresh/ light items. Other Marriot hotels offer free breakfast and sometimes happy hour however this does not. they dont even give you a free bottle of water when checking in. The parking lot was resurfaced at the beginning of the week and gave off an awful smell that made me nauseated for the entire week. Had I known that they would be doing the resurfacing with guests staying, I would have booked a different hotel.

I found the hotel to be neat, well appointed, friendly staff, with a very good fitness center. Food and beverage selection and pricing very good. Rooms clean. Lobby area inviting and attractive.
This is a very modern hotel with wonderful ammeneties. Our room was very clean and smelled clean. If you suffer from odor allergies I would caution because, at times, I did smell strong room deodorizers in the hallway. It didnt bother me but it did my husband. The staff was very nice and jovial. Great overall stay.
Standard Courtyard that is fairly close to the airport. Room was very nice and bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel was quiet. There are a couple of restaurants close by. It looked like the best bet for a hotel in Danville.
I stayed for work purposes in late July 2019, and my experience with the staff was positive from the moment I arrived. I needed to obtain a secure internet connection due to the nature of my work, and Frances, at the front desk, found out how to do that by the time I arrived in my room. I was connected with Tech support, and it went smoothly.

The Courtyard Danville renovated the interior of the hotel and was absolutely beautiful. The outside needs some cleaning up. The side of the parking area had about 5 containers with food for the stray cats. Thank goodness I did not find a cat on the hood of my car when I woke next morning.
Great hotel. Clean and comfortable Friendly staff.
Always friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. They are remodeling but it did not interfere with our stay. We stay here often. The points needed for this property did go up substantially which was my only real negative.
Just checked in quick and easy and was greeted with nothing but smiles..after getting to the room we received a courtesy call from the front desk asking if we needed anything which was very unexpected and very nice..FYI they do offer military rates..other than no free breakfast and finding a beer bottle top behind the couch I would have given this 5 stars...but I would def visit this location again
Tracy, the front desk associate, was very nice and professional. My room was very neat and clean. Only thing I can say is I wish my room was not on the first floor but it was a busy weekend and I was grateful to get a room. It was one night. I could tolerate the noise.
