I used this company several times. When I did the renovation on my home, RPM did all of the excavation work for the expansion of my foundation. They did French drains all around my home and waterproofed the foundation. . Three years later they did a repair to my septic system as well as run a line/pipe for my water softening system. This company is amazing. The owner Ralph could not be more upfront. He even saved me money. There were no hidden costs. He came when they said they would come... he is reliable, honest, and most of all after I used RPM a friend told me they are the best in the Danbury area. I would highly recommend rpm septic.

Based on the excellent work that RPM Septic has done for us, I wholeheartedly recommend RPM Septic for any septic repair and septic installation work that you may need. In March, 2020, Ralph very quickly repaired our very old septic field distribution system which was extensively damaged by a large tree that had fallen on the fields. When we decided to install a completely new septic system, in July, 2020, Ralph was able to design & install that new system so that it addressed every one of the difficult challenges which we faced including: the accessibility of the area for the new system, the location of the existing septic tank & some rock walls and also the soil condition of the area for the new septic system. Throughout the installation Ralph provided us with daily status updates, was always extremely responsive to our text message questions and was also very flexible relative to doing some additional work we added to the project. The installation was completed as scheduled & after completion of the project Ralph subsequently proactively called us to ensure we were very satisfied with how everything had worked out for us. Just as important, Ralph’s original very competitive estimate for the installation was exactly what it cost us - with no additional costs beyond what we had added !!!

Ralph not only actually responded to my phone call, but he was able to tell us what was wrong with our septic system in detail, and took the time to explain our repair options. Our experience with RPM septic systems was excellent! Ralph scheduled a time that he, an engineer, and a district health employee could come to our house. On the day that he came to do the repairs he explained everything that was going on with our septic system and what he would do to solve the issue. He fixed everything for an extremely reasonable price. I am so thankful that we found RPM. They gave us peace of mind in a very stressful situation.

Fantastic experience dealing with RPM- extremely communicative throughout the process, pricing was superb and fair. RPM installed a large system in New Fairfield for my family (~Oct 2020)- tank, leach field, piping, etc. RPM also did the perc test for us, including filing paperwork with the town and scheduling. This was an entirely new system as opposed to a repair, which complicated matters.Dont even bother looking for anyone else, we spent too much time calling around getting quotes and leaving voicemails with other companies. Ralph called me back within an hour or two, which we sincerely appreciated.Always arrived on schedule and despite the massive excavation project that this was, the property ended up in fantastic shape. He managed to avoid cutting down a beautiful tree in our yard that other installers seemed eager to remove. Professional, courteous, and a pleasure to do business with, I wouldnt hesitate doing another septic or excavation project with RPM. This man is an artist with his excavator, he picked out a whole pile of large rocks my father and I are looking forward to using for landscaping around the property.Im actually quite shocked as to how smoothly this entire process went- Id happily stand as a reference if needed. Ralph was great to work with. I needed a larger septic tank installed for an investment property I purchased. He showed up when he said he would, completed the job on time and was even under his original price estimate. There was a large pile of extra dirt when he finished which he moved around and leveled out in the back yard. I will be using Ralph again for future projects and highly recommend him.

Best septic company out there in every aspect .I had problem with my lichfield, I called 6 companies and they all told me the same thing over the phone you need a new septic system asap and some even gave me a price around $25000. I called Ralph and he said that with out digging up my system would be a guessing game; and based on that He would be able to determine if I needed a new system or if it could be repaired. My septic is old which I knew but what I didnt know was that the first 10 ft of the field was clogged. So He was able to bypass it since the rest of the field was in good shape. He explained to me that the repair could buy me some time, a year or 10 years who knows, He got me running in no time and he also did a test whole and based on the soil I have He was able to give me a accurate price which was lower then anybody out there. Thank God I dont need a new system asap but ill in the future but at least Im up and running and when I do ill be prepared financially .

I contracted with Ralph Merlo, owner of RPM Septic Systems, to replace my failed septic system this summer. The task was a huge undertaking as the site was extremely difficult to access being that my property is on a hill and landlocked by neighbors. Ralph devised a way to bring his equipment and materials to the small site without much effort on his part. I would call this type of thinking to be ingenious and creative. Im posting this review for my father, who was the actual customer. He lives in Newtown CT and called RPM Septic Systems because of a clogged drain from the house to the drainage outlet 80 - 90ft away. Ralph arrived shortly after my dad called. Ralph completed the required work with a backhoe. The work was done efficiently and with minimum damage to the lawn and flower beds. For the time and effort involved in completing the work, the charge for services provided was very reasonable. Ralph and his colleague were very personable. My dad, a home owner for 50+ years, would highly recommend RPM Septic Systems.
