I always check Lowes before Home Depot. The tool section is phenomenal, the store is cleaner, the employees are nicer, and it is more organized. This particular location is great. I dont give big box stores 5 stars because there products are usually inferior to Mom and Pop stores, and usually no one working there has the knowledge those in small stores have.
I would give zero stars if possible. I guess there is no such thing as customer service anymore. Wanted to purchase an oversized item from the garden center. I was told by staff that there was nobody in the store that could help me move it from the shelves. I won’t be coming back.
They know a hurricane is on its way. That means there will be a lot more online orders to pick off the shelves before they open. They fail to do so, and then decide to not to communicate with those customers whose paid orders they didnt fulfill that they should not come all the way to their store to pick up something that they cant provide. I know Covid has stores short handed but that is not a new development. This is a failure of management. If you do not have enough staff to complete in store tasks, pay overtime and have them come in early to fulfill your obligations you have to paying customers. Exterior greeter said to stay safe. Cant do that as well as I hoped since Lowes doesnt know how to operate its stores properly. Thanks for nothing. I think I will permanently reserve my hard earned money for their competitor across the street, Home Depot who was able to fulfill my online order.
Good prices, great helpful knowledgeable people working there
I was helped more then once finding things. It was refreshing to have people who took the time to help my husband and myself. The store was well stocked and tidy. Not many people, so it was a nice experience.
Kind of on par or a little better then home depot in terms of staff knowing their departments. Waited about an hour for a microwave to be fetched from the back store. Still better then going to home depot and having to explain what is what to staff. Make hardware stores great again.
The employees at Lowes are GREAT. Everytime I go, everyone is polite and helpful. I love going there.
Had everything I needed. Great prices. Went for plants, and a few gardening essentials. Staff was so helpful. A nice guy named Matt helped us out.. He went above and beyond. Very personable..
Iove Lowes so much more than Home Depot. They honor military discounts, they have higher quality merchandise and they have fair return policies. Went there to get mulch and kt was much cheaper than all the local places.
Used to love shopping here until I tried to return $60.00 worth of goods with no success. The employees at customer service Lisa, Mike and Ronda were all very incompetent throwing around the bogus excuse The system locked us out to justify not processing my return. My only option was to call a number that is only functional ultil 3 pm on business days. Extremely disappointed, I feel very mistreated.
VETERANS need to see this: If you’re a veteran, as I am, you’d be happy to know they let you get 10% off even on items that are online only. Home Depot does NOT allow that discount on online only items, which is absolutely nuts. Let’s say you want something that’s $2k. Well, if they have to ship it to the store, at Home Depot you’re paying full price no matter what, and with Lowe’s you would get $200 off. Just learned this recently, so I’m pretty much done with Home Depot.
Not a lot of workers trying to help. Everyone seems yo be force to speak when ask something. I spoke with three different workers and is like I was pushing them to speak.. I gave a three because Place is very clean and organized.
I can usually find whatever I need but I am tired of not being given an option to receive an email receipt several times because the cashier is in a hurry. The CC reader gives an option for an email receipt but the cashier quit pushes a button on her end before the card reader changes screens to opt in for an email receipt. Then on top of this the survey doesn’t work either!
Store is always well merchandised and clean. Save on payroll by staffing fewer people to stand in aisles and not help. Was in an aisle for 15 minutes looking at various sands and cements trying to figure out right/best one for my use. Even stood there Googling for info. All the while a guy at the end of the aisle stands. I gave up and as I pushed my empty cart past him he says find what you needed? Seriously? Like I said, I go because it is clean and well merchandised. I spend way less because there is no one that wants to help/sell. Maybe I shouldnt complain.
I shopped for carpet to finish getting my house ready to sell...going on week 4 of the process...I went in, picked my carpet and explained that I needed to get it done quickly. They did not have ANY carpet in stock for my 800 sq foot project. Everything is taking twice as long as promised. You will get a call in 2-3 business days to schedule the measurement...took 6. The first available appointment to measure was 4 days later. You will get a confirmation of the measurement within 48 hours...took 5 days. Signed my contract, paid...then told the carpet will be delivered in 4-5 days. It is now day 7 and no word. No carpet. Cant put the house on the market yet. Now I have yet another monthly mortgage payment for an empty house waiting on carpet. Thanks Lowes!
Very good hardware store that if you are open minded you will find alternatives that will cost you less than half price. I mean I bough a hammer for basic home repairs for $6. There isnt lower prices.
Lowes has the best prices and the finest quality products around. They are well stocked and have helpful staff.
I wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5. I am a contractor so I go to many stores and was so impressed I felt compelled to write this one down. I have always considered Lowes merchandise great quality and always go there to buy power tools etc. But today I went there to find some difficult to obtain things and OMG. The place was immaculate unlike their competitors, but more importantly than that the shelves were fully stocked and clearly marked so I could find what I needed fast and easy. The staff was so knowledgeable and professional and willing to help. The hard to find product I needed was quickly identified by their website and even gave me the isle and bay. It was exactly where it said and turned what would be a 20 min search at their competitor into a 1 min buy at Lowes. Even the pro register clerk was terrific. Danbury Lowes has got its act together and they deserve this review. Weather you are a homeowner looking for 1 thing or a contractor who cant waste half a day looking endlessly, Lowes is a great choice now. I will be selecting Lowes whenever possible going forward. Keep up the great work guys.
Got a couple really nice deck chairs on clearance!
Good store. Been going here since it opened. Only thing I dont like is the website. Needs improvement.
Great place. I always shop at Lowes.
On June 21st, 2021, I went to the Lowes in Danbury to look at a Pella 150 Sliding glass door to see the quality and if it was in stock. They did have them in stock, however, the sales rep. Shawn told me they were going fast. I didnt have a vehicle to pick up the door, so I paid the extra $65 to have it delivered. They had a Sunday date available for June 27th, so I paid for the door, screen, and delivery. Shawn told me he would go mark the door as sold, so no one else would take it. On June 27th, no phone call, no door. I call Lowes later in the day on the 27th and was told the door was on backorder and the next available date would be July 7th, and that someone should have called me. They said they would have a manager call me back. I called the store again on Monday, and talked to the sale rep Shawn who apologize for the mix up and that someone else must of took my door, but he had one more up on the rack. He said he would get it down and get it delivered to me whenever I wanted it. I told him after 5:30PM on the weekdays or anytime on the weekend. He could only do the weekend, so he rescheduled for July 3rd. I asked about refunding my delivery fee because of the screwup, he said he would have a manager call me back and hung up. Now 3 days later no call from him or a manager. I call the store again around 10 am and asked to speak to a manager, and was told they were not in. I also asked about my order if I would get it delivered on July 3rd and was told the sliding glass door is on backorder but they have it schedule for July 7th. Again, no one call to let me know this, and to check if I was even available for the 7th. I told them to cancel my order. After repeating my email address 3 times, and it is not that hard of email address, I got what was to be a cancel order confirmation, but instead received a scan blank piece of page. I cannot believe that this company will stay in business long with the way I was treated. I heard from other people that the sales reps. are in such competition with one another that they will take sold stickers off of other reps just to make a sale themselves. If this is true, that is so much worst then a simply mix-up. At this point, I cannot see myself going back to this Lowes and I even question whether I would go to any other Lowes.
Ordered kitchen cabinets Erich was a great help with ordering and Lu helped a lot with finalizing the sale.
Very big lot of everything very helpful people good prices
I have never had a worse experience with an order in my life. I had placed an online order for multiple large appliances and the fulfilling store was Danbury. One of the items arrived damaged and another didnt arrive at all. When I called Lowes online customer service, they said there was plenty of inventory of both of my items in the distribution center and that Lowes Danbury had an order out for two more of each. They then submitted a ticket for the Danbury store to confirm the date of the new item to be shipped. Initially, the store confirmed these details and said they would get back with a date. After no returned call, I chased for an update and was told the distribution center had no inventory of either, there were no orders out, and maybe they would get more in 2+ months - but this was even unknown. Not only had I been charged for both items already (over $3,000), but there was no knowing if or when I would receive it. I had then asked to cancel these items because we are moving into a house and cannot wait 2+ months. With that, I was connected to the Danbury store billing department and told I would receive an email confirming cancellation and refund. That has still not happened. How is a customer expected to pay for items that have no delivery in sight? How can a customer place any new order with funds tied up and not returned? Why has it taken 10+ customer service calls to get to this point? On top of all of this - every person I have spoken to across multiple departments has sounded irritated by my situation and provided excuses - instead of taking ownership and helping find a solution. Needless to say, this will be my last Lowes order.
Found everything we were looking for, not busy, easy check out
Customer assistance isnt always available.
Even though Jimmy Johnson doesnt drive the Lowes automobile on the Nascar circuit any longer, doesnt mean that I cant shop at Lowes. Lowes has very knowledgeable women and men or men and women, (however it shall be written) on the books at this Danbury, CT location. The materials sold here are sure to work for anyone whether youre a doggone professional contractor in a Union somewhere drinking a container of coffee or someone just looking to put pieces of wood together. As you can see from the photo below, even I was able to put together this subpar workbench with the materials necessary from Lowes...AND I HAVE TWO LEFT HANDS, DAGNABBIT.
They didnt have a soft cushion toilet seat but I found an Awesome new Dawn dish spray soap
Good place to buy. Friendly staff
Lowes does not have enough help. You have to search for an associate. None of them look happy. This Lowes never answers their phone. Had same issue with them my last visit months ago.
Like it, shelves organized, clean aisles but when you buy a product to be picked up at the store that promised date never happen.(Personal experience) they call me that my order arrived and front desk told me 10-20 mins to get it ready...after 40 mins waiting we found out that this item is not in the store😡😡.. day wasted.
Found everything I went for. Store personnel were great
Went there and found what I was looking for to fix my roof
Easy to find what I need.
Excellent experience, friendliest paint department person Ive ever seen at a Lowes! Congratulations
Good place to shop.
Ordered a custom cut blind which took more than 6 days to have ready. Received email my order was ready for pickup. I went to the order pickup station and the gentleman said one moment please. Called someone telling them I was there to pickup my blind. Twenty one minutes later an associate brought my blind to the pickup area. Question, if Lowes notified me my order was ready why was it not up front ready?
Got what I needed and out in 20. Self checkouts worked well.
Lowes is simply the worst. Ordered a refrigerator and had to return it 3 times because they kept delivering it damaged & punctured. Gave up & will order elsewhere. Customer care did not seem concerned to be losing business nor did they offer any type of courtesy credit.
So much cleaner and organized than home depot.
When we tried to pick up our roofing for our house (corrugated metal), Lowe’s website and system said it was delivered, however that was not the case. Bob, a Lowe’s Manager, and Sherry, went above and beyond to help us. He made sure we left happy and left with roofing as we were on a tight deadline. I was so impressed with Bob. His customer service, problem solving skills, and taking the time to find our product and to check us out. Thank you, Bob! This wasn’t the first time you helped us in a pinch! You are a great manager and leader. We appreciate you!
Pretty standard customer service. Not unfriendly but not over the top either. The aisles are nicely organized in an open layout. I prefer the setup of Lowes than The Home Depot as its more consumer friendly whereas The Home Depot is for contractors. The parking lot is well lit at night so its comfortable walking alone in the dark.
I have always enjoyed interacting with the staff in the appliance and plumbing areas of Lowes. Others employees have often helped as well or more importantly admitted where their knowledge was limited and connected me with the right person to answer my questions and provide advice and/or recommendations. It amazes me that they all seem to have a mental map of the store and direct me to the right aisle and bay for what Im looking for.
I love Lowes, but lately their items are not stock as they use to be .... shortage on many items and on line logistics misleading about products being in the store when they actually arent . few of my trips end up being waste of time .
Too slow with curb side pick up! It took over 12 hours!
Its okay, I wish they had more specialized parts, such as a main aqua-stat to replace the bad one on my boiler one wintery evening. Overall I do prefer Lowes over home depot.
This store is very well stocked, well staffed and taking all the usual safety precautions these days. I find in particular it has a better selection of plumbing parts then its nearby competitor. Overall the good experience you would expect from this company.
Eight keys made, three trips.... NONE of the keys worked. Wrong blanks. It was so fun driving back and forth in Stopped Dead TRAFFIC.
Stay clear from Anna in kitchen design. RUDE, UNHELPFUL, ATTITUDE, UNWILLING TO HELP, NASTY, STAUNCH. I could go on and on on how nasty she is. Ive done tens of thousands of dollars in Lowes Kitchen design products and have never encountered such an awful person. Youve been warned!
I love going to the Lowes Home improvement store to buy things I love going up and down the aisle searching for things that I didnt even know I needed. the store at least the hours that I aint go to the store have never been overly crowded the weekends are another story its gets a little more crowded then but the aisles are always needing the staff is very friendly and helpful and I always end up buying more than I need.
I enjoyed my morning visit to Lowes on Eagle Road in Danbury, Connecticut.I asked a Lowes employee for help and the lady took me to the place where the product was located. She showed me the options.I love quick trips and not wasting time finding what I am looking for.
I purchased an in stock Generac 6500 off the shelf and arranged a delivery to my home. The day of the scheduled delivery it did not come. It seems they sold my paid for generator to someone else and did not even call to cancel the delivery.I have dealt with several employees with no resolve until I spoke to a Manager Kim who promised me a delivery this Saturday. When I did not hear from anyone I called Kim who said the generator did not come in and gave no date it will. Hence I paid for the generator and delivery and have a completely Free Run-Around
Absolutely the worst delivery service ever, took 3 attempts to deliver my stove on the third attempt they got some random guy to deliver my stove who pretended he didn’t understand me and just dump the stove of in the middle of the kitchen and left!!! Horrible and regrettable experience.
Lows in Danbury is a one of the best stores and whenever I don’t find what I want in my local hardware store, Lowe’s is my next stop (Way before THD). One thing that I hate is that when they need to get something that is at the back, it will take them long time to get it.
Better selection of wood finishes than HD, store a bit disheveled looking inside, kinda messy, but that doesnt really impact my shopping
The worst experience. Literally chasing Lowe’s for my estimate for two rooms of carpet and a backsplash. 3 weeks and countless calls of people who do not care and push the blame to someone else. I wish I could say it was one person but it was several. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot.
Service is premium and I appreciate how I am guided to section of interest and provided with explanation on the use and reliability of a product.
Had to go to lowes to pick up plumbing fixtures for a bathroom remodel. The employee nate was phenomenal and very detailed. Its a shame that lowes doesnt keep better track of its inventory. Had to go to Norwalk for the complete tub shower we wanted. Long story short they were incorrect in the inventory listed. Had to buy part of it in Norwalk and go back to danbury for the other half. Wasted an entire 8 hour day on a Sunday. Not happy but at least the employees were helpful
Joe sold me a really good dryer. He explained what was the best one for my needs. All the times I asked he answered. Very satisfied with customer service
Kristen at customer service is amazing. Helpful and very friendly.
Very organized. Everything right where its supposed to be according to the app. Easy to find and fast check out.
Everything I needed was out of stock. I think they need to spend some money and get back in stock. Off to H D to get what I needed. Should have gone there in the first place.
Dave went above and beyond to help us. He had incredible experience and knowledge.
Tragically Under Staffed. This Lowes shows all the signs of a store where employees are being stretched too thin. All the usual courtesies arent happening because theyre exhausted. Meanwhile, the rows are a mess. Whole sections of shelves are empty or in such disarray you cant find what youre looking for. I usually drive the extra 20 minutes to go here, but Im seriously considering switching back to Home Depot.
The selection was nice, but when I asked for help finding something the staff was unsure and could not direct me towards what I needed.
Excellent great place to shop
Great place for all home projects!
Rob, our appliance sales associate was very helpful and knowledgable
Mum plants, pavers, hardware items too! I bought several items for a wedding project, not sure what would work. They gladly allowed me to return them with my reciept.
Ricardo Daniel Easycredit ON7Recommended this Stablisment great customer service clean variety of products really organized and simple to find what your looking .10 ☆
I cannot be more than happy how dependable and appreciative I was with the service that I was given from Brandon in appliances! The most trustworthy personal i have met in a long time!Thank you for all of you Assistance Brandon( in appliances)!! Job well done! keep it going !!!
We went to Lowes for searching things for repair our house. We didn’t know what Tools needed to buy, but Thanks to Roger who is an employee there who Helped us with his knowledge to choose the Bosch 360 laser Level and the Zircon Scan Depth Metal. It’s very helpful for us. So if you go to Lowes 67 Eagle Road Danbury,CT, and if you need help ask for Roger he has a good knowledge and he is very nice person.
They had what I wanted. Self checkout is quick and efficient. Store was clean and well organized.
Don’t bother with the Lowe’s Pickup Service, it’s terrible! I placed my order for pickup for some garden fertilizer and lime. Paid online and waited for an email from Lowe’s telling me it was ready. When I got the email I drove to the store expecting to show them my confirmation and have my order ready and brought out to the car. Instead I stood in line at customer service where 3 workers ran 2 registers. I was in line for 20 minutes while 1 worker help a customer fill out a credit card application and the other two workers moved about behind the counter doing what appeared to be nothing. When one of them finally asked if they could help me, I showed them my order and they left for an additional 15 minutes. They went to the garden center and, judging from the time they were gone, I think they actual pulled my order. I’ll never use this service again. I could have gotten my order, paid for it, and loaded it in my car in half the time it to them. Looks like next time it Home Depot.
Today, went to Home Depot first, then came to Lowes to find what I wanted. Found Lowes to be better stocked, better organized and better staffed.
No one wears a mask, pick up is horrible.
They have every thing I needed great place to shop.
Good store but hard to get help. Asked on cabinets and was told need an appointment to meet with a designer. Hard to believe when they have no customer they cant help. Went to a kitchen store instead.went back when called a couple days later as was waiting on Kitchen center proposal and was able to get drawing and pricing will compare and decide. If had been able to get info originally may not be comparing
Nice clean store. Good selection of hardware and reasonably priced.
My favorite big box hardware store. Great selection and service, but they need yo work on their social distancing.
Super rude employees. Highly disappointed!! Lu, one of the employee is super rude. You should stay home Missy!
I prefer the smaller hardware stores over Lowes and Home Depot to begin with. In my area the Lowes is a nicer store than HD I think.
I ordered railings on June 13, ( that showed in stock) on 06/29 I received a phone call from the delivery company stating they were delivering two days later. As I’m sitting home, because I took the day off, I received a phone call from the Lowe’s store, my order didn’t make the truck as it didn’t make it to the store. The manager then stated it was shipping from the vendor that day to the store.I received another call from shipping company that they are delivery is coming today, call out of work, AGAIN. Just to receive another phone call from Lowe’s store, my delivery didn’t make the truck again because they don’t have the material again.Lack of consideration for people’s time.ORDER 423579574I’m done with Lowe’s! This will be the last time I place a large order with Lowe’s. All they do is screw up since new management took over
Good selection. Always wish there were more workers around to help, and more knowledgeable.
Very well run store.
Great business with great selection including on line, but not that far finding help inside. Couldnt find my project item. Very organized and clean.
I purchased 2 beige LamP Shades on fri. Staff was great, very helpful, fine selection, just the right price, will stop again, fine job!
Management should know that George at this Lowe’s saved you from losing a customer. The lady in Customer Service that answered the phone this afternoon was rude as hell. When I finally got transferred to George he was extremely pleasant and very helpful.Thank you George
Tried to buy two items and asked for a price match. I showed them the price on Amazon. Cashier says we dont price match Amazon. I said thats not what your website says. He calls someone else over that repeats the same line. We dont price match online prices. I show them their own website...Do you price match online-only retail competitors?Yes, we price match offers from online-only retail competitors (a competitor that doesn’t have a physical storefront). They give me the nonsense about Amazon again and then call a manager over. I show the manager their own website...For example, we price match items sold by Amazon.com but not by a third-party seller on Amazon.com.I show them the items are sold by and fulfilled by Amazon.com. They still refuse to match the price.I leave the store absolutely frustrated by their insistence on ignoring what their own website says. As Im driving home, I call Lowes 1-800 customer service number. I ask them about their price match guarantee for online prices and Amazon specifically. They read me the language I quoted the store manager verbatim. How bad of a store is it when their own managers dont have a clue what their own corporate policies are?
Lowes was great! I was able to quickly from and the items that I was looking for. Checkout was quick as well. This location was wonderful.
Able to find difficult to find items.
Great Products, Great Service and Great Prices! They will do everything they can to help you with whatever you need!
I hope that I’m not exaggerating, but the online ordering and pickup had issues every time I placed an order. This is not just one store. The poor experience was true in West Long Branch, NJ and West Colonial in Orlando. It’s not just one issue. Product cancelled frequently because inventory was inaccurate. Incorrect product shipped. No notifications the orders were complete. On the other hand, Home Depot has been timely in order processing, dedicated online pickup staff, and accurate almost each time.
