First time fishing and got some good inexpensive rods from here. The guys that work there were very helpful and talked through options for bait and hooks. Great service overall!

This place is horrible. The big guy has an attitude 2 miles long. The bait isn’t fresh at all. I will never go here again

Literally grew up going to this tackle shop all the time for all of my needs. Those days are over. Despite me shopping here since I was a kid, the woman running the place always looks me up and down assuming I’m going to steal something. Always rude with no knowledge of fishing whatsoever. She’s a massive bigot as well I could hear her as I left one time commenting “Did he steal anything? Ok just checking”. Husband is much nicer and actually knowledgeable but is only there half the time. Do yourself a favor and skip this place ESPECIALLY if you’re a minority.

Dealt with big man and bought what I needed and left. Seemed like a decent little shop to me. Not sure who “the lady” is that everyone seems to refer to but big man was decent.

Wack service the old lady always seems to have a attitude for no reason and i asked for something that WAS clearly on the board an she said “no we don’t have it” then take it off the board tf.

I just sat in an hour of traffic to find your store closed with a printed sign in front posting new hours. Please update your business hours online, or at least tell people calling in.

Great experience great prices and great advice. Sometimes he runs out of stuff but that’s just because it’s the best price in town.

Dont let these negative comments stop you from getting bait, especially when this is the only bait shop pretty much around. I see a bunch of soft people making negative comments. I have been given good info and good bait from here for over 10 years.

These guys are the real deal. They have everything there. Love this place.

By far the worst bait shop I’ve been too. I asked for a dozen sawbellies. The (big guy) only gave me 10 and they were so small it looks like they just came out of the eggs. I asked him to change them but he refused too. Stay away from this place. Go to big wave tackle in Mahopac much better bait shop

These people are extremely obnoxious, disrespectful and rude (with the exception of the big guy). They will never ever get my business again, I dont want to use the big R but I think the owner is. I use to go.to this store basically everyday other day to get stuff for fishing but after seeing how the owner deals with people who dont look like him Ive decided to stop shopping there simply because of principle.

Very Rude, rude, rude!!! Will not give her my business or money!! She seemed very annoyed that a customer was in there.

It is great the pat Pat and his wife and the others who work there are all a great help to me and I appreciate that they tell me where the good fishing is at

Good bait

The older woman at the front desk was unable to handle a fishing license transaction, had a severely poor attitude with the computer and directed it towards the customer . One star. 0 stars if possible. Will never visit any business who disrespects their customers because they are incompetent in the mind

Walked in the door and wasn’t greeted. Store is the size of a closet so it’s not like they didn’t see me.There were two people in front of me buying sand worms, customer asked for another box. Gentlemen behind the counter appeared to be extremely bothered that he wanted more. It’s a store you sell stuff that’s why people come. Lady behind the desk shouts “Make sure to charge another 50 cents for the box”. Seriously.They both seem annoyed people were shopping. First and last time I’ll be buying bait from this establishment.
