Lets be fair here, it is a temp agency so the jobs will be dead end and the wages will be low. With that being said, I was able to secure a job with them which has allowed me to move back to the area and they were pleasant through the process. The interview was easy and informative. They recruit often for Eastern Account System which is a Down-your-throat collections job via a call center, but it was money and hours that I needed.

My dispute over unpaid wages went ignored. I worked for Eastern Account systems, where the punch clocks are routinely non functional. My last week of working for them all 8 punch clocks were disabled, and there was a fire in the generator. I was told dont worry about it, management had notated my presence. Well, I never got paid. Also I was told it is a normal thing for this company to have employees to be marked absence and unpaid when in fact they were present. That is my time away from my family and it was non compensated. If you need a job it is a job but I recommend jump ship as soon as possible before something unfortunate happens. In my experience employers for this agency misrepresented the position, salary, bonus structure, and compensation that is on offer. I was told I was hired on full time / permanent but over a month later I was still on with the temping agency in addition to the wage shortage. If you enjoy being lied to and cheated, this is the agency for you. If you wish to be treated fairly and with respect, steer clear.

I worked with viking in a temp warehouse job. John and Sandra were both very helpful in letting me know what the hiring company was expecting from me. Ive never done an interview where I knew what was important to them already. It really helped me be confident and sure I was talking about the right details. Thank you Viking!

Interviewed for custodian position, told i had to drive over an hour to their main office (job was only 15 min away). Was also told on the phone, dont worry just show up and you got the job. Showed up, was told I Dont look like a custodian also I wasnt enthusiastic enough about being one. Received a call not even 40 minutes later saying the lazy/slow worker they were trying to replace magically started doing better and they forgot to tell Viking. Sandra had a condescending tone during the whole interview process. What a waste of time...

Great company, honest and hardworking employees.I was an ACTUAL EMPLOYEE of Viking Resource (not hired as a temp for another position) and found the company to be a breath of fresh air. While working with Sandra and John I grew to learn they are both professional, caring and extremely proactive. They have placed 1000s (yes thousands) of people within CT. Yes the placements are hard work, yes you will have to show up on time and act professionally, yes it is a JOB and you will have to WORK. If you dont act professionally you will not be treated professionally. There seem to be a lot of disgruntled reviews, however having conducted interviews myself, I can honestly say the professionalism of some candidates is extremely lacking. These are where the bad reviews come from.Viking is not the terrible company a lot of these reviewers write. I give them 4.5 stars and would absolutely return to the position if needed.

The staff here is very unprofessional and don’t care about the employees feelings. I had a very bad experience here, especially with Sandra who refused to provide any sort of help. I would not recommend this place to anyone

I found Sandra to be extremely professional and helpful. I was placed in a position that I love, where I am respected for the good work I do. I am very grateful to Sandra for her help. A true professional.

Received a call that they were impressed with my resume and then got the call and the person was totally unprofessional stating why did I put in for this specific location...the posting on indeed stated one place and evidently this was another, sorry I wasted your precious time! Hope to never get a call from this place again!

Never knew Id be that person giving a review but here I am. I had an interview today and was not able to make it due to educational purposes that were unexpected really. I called and excused myself, (with time), I am aware that it is a terrible first impression, and inconsiderate (if you will), however I gave my explanation and apologized and asked to be rescheduled. The male who answered the phone was beyond rude and judgmental and in addition to that tried to squeeze the interview into my schedule when I had already explained (thoroughly) I was not going to be able to. Saying that I did not sound to interested in the job... Why? because I choose my education? I may be overreacting but honestly the male was very rude and difficult.

After politely turning down an offer for a position I received no details on until I came in for a dual interview (clearly for a reason- it was for an employee-unfriendly company in which I saw multiple employees give complaints in the short 30min I was there), the receptionist went on to berate me and claim I was just being picky for:a) having a horrible gut feeling about my future with several female employees distraught in the lobby aloneb) requesting TWO days off over TEN months in advance for an important family event and receiving backlash for it, despite being upfront in the interview to prevent this sort of situation (I was offered the position afterwards but was already thoroughly disappointed with them)He used an extremely condescending tone as he continued to claim I should probably just stick to retail and maybe office work was too much for a girl who was dropping out of school (I am on a leave of absence to save money and transfer to a prestigious program) like me. My relative, who is the head of HR at his company, was so appalled he has blacklisted the company.Ive since been hired as a RECEPTIONIST at a quickly developing company that is constantly impressed with the quality of my work, no thanks to the receptionist who treated me as if I were below him due to my young age and his own perceived shortcomings.Staffing agencies are notoriously difficult, but this experience has left me absolutely appalled. I hope Viking Resource Group fixes their staffing issues and learns appropriate procedures for dealing with clients before all people hear of them are everyones bad experiences.

Viking Resource Group is run by self righteous, lazy people. The sales woman will spend the first 45 minutes of the day doing her hair and then have the audacity to discipline you for being 5 minutes late when that isnt even her job. Hiring for a job no one wants isnt fun.

If you’re reading this. Walk away find another staffing company. These are the worse people you can go to for a job. The jobs they will give you are deadend jobs with no career advancement. These guys are basically scammers because they get part of your paycheck for the first 6months.

I had the terrible misfortune to be interviewed by Sandra Erdman, a recruiter, badly in need of a stylist, make-up consultant and fashion guru. How she got the job at Viking is a mystery to me.After spending 30 minutes filling out ridiculous paperwork, I was told by Sandra that I was overly qualified for several positions. Hmm....Doesnt Sandra or her smiling lackey pre-screen resumes. Apparently not. Do they have to bring in a certain amount of people every day to make them look important.Or is it their job to piss off clientele of job seekers across the state who need a job. The answer is yes.My assessment of Ms. Erdman: ZERO.If this is who Viking has representing them, I have no use for Viking.Avoid this agency altogether. If these are the people they hire.....lets not forget the smiling lackey......look elsewhere.
