I am a survivor of domestic violence, without this place my children and I would have been in harms way, the woman who work there helped me get back on my feet and realize that my children and I deserve so much better. Everything was provided for us, food, support groups and even clothes. We came into the shelter with nothing and left with so much more then the physical things we collected, we were able to move into our own home and feel safe. I have stayed involved in the outreach services and it has helped me become a better mom and person. Thank you to all of you!

I was here a couple of years back these people was so good to me no complaints they made sure I had a way to work and had a phone ..

This place DOES NOT care. Their legal aids try to determine if you are actually a victim or not. Then they basically are like you can try to get one yourself. I thought they help victims and families of domestic violence. Apparently not. They like to judge you based on their own personal situation and turn away those who are in dire need of emergency help. They want a crisis that’s worse than the nightmare you’ve lived with every day to get worse and escalate as domestic violence does. Advocates for families and victims? NO! They are in support of the abuser. They like playing with peoples lives and want you to live in fear. Don’t waste your time taking off work to meet these useless volunteers that don’t know what they are doing. Quote from advocate “your mom just doesn’t seem to be a victim of domestic violence to me.” When I’ve witnessed it and seen it first hand. If you are hard of hearing and don’t seem upset because you have to hear and communicate with people about something stressful, don’t go to these people. Complete waste of time and false hope.

Horrible place...staff is incredibly discriminatory, judgemental, and as equally abusive as my ex. All kinds of illegal activities happening by staff run out of this shelter. There is no help, and no confidentiality. The staff sits there and talks horribly about the women they’re supposed to be helping right in front of them. I don’t know why the community helps this shelter. Where is all the funds going? It’s not to help the women. Disgusting display of behavior.

This place is AWFUL, I came here off the streets too get zero help from staff . Who finally wanted too talk to me locked me in a room and screamed at me for calling someone and asking for help . Now i get the whole confidentality thing but when the people who work there were not willing to help who else was I supposed too turn too . Anyways they called me a cab (and the cops) who dumbed my kids and I off at the dollar store of witch alot of druggies and drinks were at too wait on my ride .
