This location and the people working there have been amazing! In the past month, Ive had to rent a car twice because of mechanical issues with one of our vehicles. Both times I had phenomenal service and communication.The second time we had to rent a car, we were expecting to only have to rent it for a week. It turns out we had to rent it for an additional week! With that being said, Arthur and Cody made sure to make it as seamless a process as possible. They are amazing and I will NEVER rent another car from anywhere else.

I made a reservetion a week before my vacation. I tried to called them to confirm it but no answer. I show up and they told me they didnt have any vehicle in their lot and they didnt know when they were going to get one. That they will call me when one come in... I waited all day and after few hours. I called them to check and nothing. I asked them why even do a reservation if they dont have any vehicles and they hang up on me. Worse costumer services....

I rent a van from Hertz and O My God it was wonderful it drove like I was on cloud 9. I had no problems at all. They did me right and I will be back. This hertz location charged my personal card (that was on hold) for 3 extra days of a rental beyond what I had the vehicle. Please be aware they are scammers. I visited the office for a refund, was told it would be taken care of And it never was. I opened a case with their corporate twice and I was told they would contact me with a solution and I never heard back from them. I have proof of when I returned the vehicle even. I had to dispute it through my credit card company and am now opening a case with the Better Business Bureau. Please be aware and use another rental car company.

I would like to say, I don’t typically write reviews but just happen to be googling the time they open and saw these horrible reviews. Which is sad! Everyone has had a few bad experiences in life. I’m not sure why people don’t understand we are all human.Instead of making a bad review, why not go try to resolve the issue?! Bad reviews affect people livelihood. We are human beings, I’m sure you all with the bad reviews are not perfect in your professions. None of us are. My very first experience with them when I moved to the area was a very pleasant one. In fact, I won’t go anywhere else. Not familiar with policies/conditions relating to ARI or other fleet companies handling rentals for company employees. I understand this is Dalton, Ga. But Hertz is a fairly large company that Im sure gets clued in via emails. Other locations knew exactly what I was talking about.

Be careful, because they will scam you with the insurance. Most full coverage insurances cover you while you are in a rental, but Hertz tells you that isnt the case and if you want to be covered in case of any damage you need to buy their insurance. I got robbed of almost $300 dollars due to false information and when I called, they just said there was nothing that could be done to reimburse my money.

I would give negative stars if possible. State Farm arranged for a rental after an accident. I called the Dalton Hertz office on Monday to confirm the rental. I told them that I would be dropping my car off for repair on Wednesday afternoon and would need a rental car at that time. They told me no problem, come in and pick up the rental car. When we arrived we were told they did not have a car available and could not tell us when they would. When asked why they confirmed the reservation if they didnt have a vehicle they denied talking to me on the phone. The employee made no attempt to try to locate a vehicle and told us they were not obligated to have a vehicle even if one is reserved. Worst customer service I have encountered.

They were great. When my car rental fell through at last minute they were able to get me a car, during spring break, and even opened up a little early when I returned the car. Because I was just getting into town, so I didnt have to wait.

The Herz employee was super helpful, we needed to add a driver to our contract, and he did it in a couple of minutes.

I used the one in dalton and the fellow was very helpful and helpful with getting us in a car for the money we needed to spend.

Hertz was very easy to deal with we even got a free upgrade when they didnt have our car we placed a reservation for there at the time of pick up. The car was nice but did have some service lights come on like oil change throughout the rental period. Will rent from Hertz again!

Very sorry service. Car wasnt cleaned when I got it so they are trying to charge a clean up fee for smoking in the car when I dont smoke. its a crooked company and shouldnt be able to get away with the things they do. So for Future reference if the car hasnt been cleaned dont accept it. Or let them charge you over 300 dollars for a cleanup. Im filing a claim with the BBB and speaking to an attorney.

For starters, Richard is great once I actually got to the location he was fast and efficient and very friendly but by the time I got there I was so irate I barely noticed. I left a doctors appointment early because Hertz had said someone would meet me at the repair shop where I was leaving my car at 3PM. After multiple calls and being told hes on his way an elderly gentleman whos name I did not get showed up...40 minutes late without so much as an explanation. As a matter of fact in the entire time I was around this man he never even acknowledged me. I knew who he was because he told the other customer he was waiting for who he was. When I identified myself as one of his passengers too he didnt even act like hed heard me. I know he heard well because he was quite chatty with the other passenger. I said I was going to grab something out of my van before leaving, again no response. When I came back they had already gone to the car (btw I had no idea what car it was because he never told me he just walked out with the other customer). I only noticed where they where because the car started to move, I honestly think he wouldve just left without me. The whole car ride to Hertz he acted as though I was not even there. It was such an unpleasant experience. All dramatics aside it made me feel like I was hitchhiking or something. I would never EVER use this place and plan on telling everyone I know to avoid them if they can help it simply because the 1st face you see is going to ruin your day.

Robbed me of my 200 dollar deposit. Then after bringing the car back in checking my bank to see if the deposit had came back and all of a sudden they charged my account the price of the 3 week rental a week after we brought the car back... Keep in mind they had charged me every week when I renewed my rental then charged me the entire amount a week after bringing it back. My account is now 544 dollars in the negative :(

In location 11:50 and gentleman was on the phone with a customer. Takes till after noon before they get off phone. Since it’s after noon now, they can’t rent a car out. Awesome, why did I waste my time.

Horrible service.Poor communication. No integrity.Lied and said the car would be ready at 1. Didnt even bother calling at 4:30 when the car was finally ready. It is 4:52 and i am still not on the road. Nothing but a hassle and a waste of my time. I would never recommend.

This place will trick you on getting insurance you dont need when my vehicle was in the shop already had full coverage insurance and should have already covered there vehicle. please when you go rent a vehicle from them have them expain everthing to you before you rent from them. They rented me a car, when they were supposed to rent me an SUV, told me they would call to swap it out, which they never did over the two weeks i needed it, the car was visibly dirty when i rented it its all we have then proceeded to charge me OVER 200 DOLLARS for a cleaning fee, which was never devulged, when i brought it back. I would never rent a car from this company, go to enterprise, atleast they are up front and honest when you rent their cars.

This place is a joke the manger in training is RUDE!!! If the internet booking tells you one price then he will not honor it. He is rude on the phone also. They don’t even tell you on the phone that they do a credit check.

We were travelling from Ontario, Canada through the USA, when our car broke down entering Chattanooga. Our car was towed to the garage and wouldnt be ready for several days, so we rented a car. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. We got a brand new car and we got some money back for returning the car early and a staff member drove us back to the garage to pick up our own car, so we could be on our way. I have rented all kinds of cars from different companies. The Hertz in Dalton was the worst experience I have ever had. I wish I could rate a 0 instead of a 1. Issues we had: The car stunk and my 10 year old son was crying and wanted out of the car. I had to go to Wal-Mart to get some spray to help. Helped a little. 2. They overcharged us and added extra fees from the total quote I got in my email. They wouldnt change it. 3. They rented us an expired tag. We didnt notice until our 2nd day. We had so much anxiety from this on our trip. We dropped the car and got another one at the Hertz in another state. 4. The very first car that Hertz in Dalton rented to us wouldnt even start! She had to get another car. 5. The 2nd car from Dalton had an issue with the display panel and washing flashing like crazy, and the blue tooth would go in and out randomly. 6. When we got back to Dalton, we explained to them all of the stuff. They were absolutely rude and told us to leave and said bye.

We really enjoyed our van. We wished they would have had the van ready when we had our appointment to pick it up, but other than that is was great!!

The online rental process was easy and the person that assisted me at the rental location was very helpful and pleasant. The vehicle that I rented was a Nissan Rouge and it was great.

Made a reservation Friday morning for 3p.m. that day. By 2:45, they had one car left and it had not even been gone over since the last customer. The guy tried to tell us that it wasnt ready bc we were early (by 15 min) and that if we wanted to come back, hed have it 2 hrs later. Really? We passed since we had to make an appointment time and someone had told us the Enterprise down the road had one. Turns out they didnt and we ended up coming back after our meeting and got stuck with a 4 cyl. Kia (not great for the mountains). Know that they are also not open on Sundays. So, if your rental is over the weekend. You are automatically charged for Sunday ( if you bring it back anytime after lunch time Saturday). There is no real drop box, either. We ended up paying $80 for a day and a half.

We have been renting a couple times a year. Unfortunately, we came here instead of Chattanooga. Worse rental ever. It is more filthy than my truck. They didnt bother to wipe it, there are more stains in this car than there is on my 4+ year mattress. And the indoor odor gets worse the longer i am in it. I dont recommend this place to anyone

I had a horrible experience with this place and will never use them to rent a car again. If I could have given them 0 stars, I would have. The man they sent to pick me up to go get my car took an hour and a half to find my house, although I only live twenty minutes from their location and he was using a GPS. After multiple phone calls from him, he finally admitted that he didnt want my help to find me, although I know the area very well. Then he reported that the car that I rented had a half a tank of gas in it when by the time he drove around for 1 1/2 hours looking for me only less than a quarter of a tank of gas was left. When I told him that I was not willing to pay for the gas that he used up while he was looking for my house he said, well, I was coming to get you.??? I rented a car for six hours and dropped it off at a Hertz in N. Georgia. When I returned from my cruise ten days later.. I found out that they had left multiple messages on my phone demanding that I return their car and they charged me for five days of rental when I only used the car for six hours. They overdrew my checking account in the amount of $269.00 because they charged me $500.00 for five days. It has been three weeks and they still havent removed the hold on my account even though they have realized that I only had the car for six hours.
