10$ membership turned into $500 because this facility has towing companies monitoring the parking lot. They don’t give you any warnings they just tow your 65 thousand dollar car right as they are closing and could care less. I get this is a poor neighborhood and needs to make its money someway or another but cmon. As a club member I expected them to look out for me. Never coming to this place again. Be careful at this place.

I’ve been a member at Planet Fitness for 10 years now and I just went to Fitness Connection for the first time to try it out. I was very impressed with the gym and equipment. The ladies only area was very impressive and had me leaning to switch over to this gym. The best part to me was the sauna though. It’s inside the ladies locker room. It’s huge and very hot! Loved it! I was not impressed however with the lack of cleanliness. There were lots of paper towels on the floor and trash cans were full. I also enjoy using the total body enhancement and tanning beds at PF, so not sure I’m ready to leave that. BUT, child care while you work out included for $10 a month??? Very intriguing.

I tried to give Fitness connection a try because of the price but I rather just not anymore. In my opinion it is not worth it at all. The biggest problem I face is the crowdedness and the loads of machine hoggers there are. Can never have a fully coordinated routine without having to wait altogether. The women’s section is always crowded and as a woman, I’ve been harassed at this location. Weights are never put back, so people just keep them next to them even if they’re not using it. Some men tend to give you a creepy stare and make you feel uncomfortable working out. I rather go to a gym where I feel comfortable and people know how to be courteous.

This may have nothing to do with FC. They are great, but car thieves are rampant in that area. Something needs to be done for better security. My truck was stolen last week and it’s been recovered but it’s a total loss. Better security is needed.

No buddy passes. Member pays 10 to 15 a month and they wanted me to pay 15 for 2 hours...Planet fitness let me in and I got a membership with them. Cleaner and smelled better.

On September 1, 2021, my husband and I signed up for gym membership with fitness connection 2550 W Red Bird Ln, Dallas, TX 75237. My 3rd and last visit to the facility was on September 8, 2021. On that day I checked in at 7:09am. I was ready to leave the facility at approximately 7:45 when I realized my bunch of keys was missing. The bunch of keys included my car keys. At the time, my son was waiting for me to take him to school. I searched every machine I used and couldnt find my keys. I reported to the front desk personnel about my missing keys and was told to wait for the manager because no one had turned in the keys and there was nothing she could do. I waited for about an hour for the manager to show up. When he finally came, he told me there was nothing he could do unless I have a police report. He did not document my name nor my contact information to even contact me should someone turn the keys in. As a matter of fact he did not even verify who I was and whether I was authorized to be in their facility in the first place. I called the police and made my complaint. Later that day after missing hours of work, my husband contacted the facility and was informed by the manager that he had flagged my account incase someone tries to access the gym with it. On September 20, 2021 around 7:30pm I received a call from the gym that someone had turned my keys in. I decided to check my account online for activity history only to find that the person who took my keys used it to access the facility on four different occasions. If the manager had performed his job properly he would have detected that. What is the point of taking photographs of members when unauthorized individuals are able to access the gym with their id. I called the corporate office on September 21,2021 to speak about this issue. I spoke with Moraya Esparza who advised me to get a police report. I called back few minutes and spoke with Kaylen Whitaker. Kaylen Whitaker could not provide answers to my questions and when I asked to speak with a manager she was very rude yelling on the phone and hanged up the phone on me. I find the ordeal very disappointing and will pursue legal action against fitness connection!!!

My vehicle was stolen at this location on the afternoon of August 26th of 2020. This location has tow truck companies towing your vehicle if you violate parking regulations, but no security patrolling the premise.I canceled my membership & request the manager of the fitness center to waive remaining membership fees. Seeing that the day my vehicle was stolen he was there & he knew what happened the day of. He never waived the fee even with knowing the situation.They cared less about my experience. Also to note... Theyre responding to every other review besides my own, which says a lot. Let that sink in.

Needs more cleaning stations and they need more weight plates. It was clean enough not to be an issue, but there was a lot of sweat on the machines because the cleaning up after yourself isnt enforced.

Good gym for the price, social distancing is enforced with 😷 mask and 🧤 gloves required to use any equipment. Most of the equipment is in good working condition, if not they fix it usually the same day or the following day. Different cardio and weight machines available, classes are still offered like cycling and dance.

Gave it a 4 cause theyll were soppost to be open 24hours. And are not! Not at this location. Love that has a daycare . The ladys in daycare are soo good with the children. 💞💗

The TV in the womens workout room never works and when it does it plays movies from 1980 or 1990. Thats is unacceptable.

I havent worked out months due to minor accident. I brought 2 of my kids and didnt know that the kids club was 3 to 11 and my son just turn 12 so I ask can they make exception just for this time due to making the drive over. I was told I had to make a new membership for him $20. I wasnt expecting to pay for my son when he dont work out.I rather just cancel my membership and go to another gym closer to my house somewhere eor just pay a personal trainer instead.

I am far from satisfied with how much equipment is broken in the womens side and how how long it has been broken! Also if the gym is a little busy its still hard to get some machines because so many arent working. We pay way to many fees and monthlys for this to be an issue.There should be a certain standard for how this business and establishment is maintained for how much people pay.please dont tell me its because of social distancing like all these other businesses excuses. I have been to other locations and this is not the circumstances everywhere..I love the staff, and I love the environment regarding to the diversity of people. you dont go wrong there.

Half of the machines are broken In the woman’s area, I’ve been going consistently for two months and as of now nothing has been fixed! It’s disappointing to the point that I am seriously considering driving further out just to be able to use the machines I need.

I have been coming to this gym for a few months and have always enjoyed the service and care. People at front desk are very polite and welcoming. I love this gym it is very close to home and has every equipment, I love the women’s area! I just wish the kids club was open later on Fridays-Sunday’s. All around the gym is amazing. My kids love the kids club, they are always talking about activities being played and friends they make! All of the ladies are really sweet.

I have been to this gym twice I actually live in Richardson. My gym membership is through my insurance so I can get into multiple gyms except this one mind you I have no problem at the other Fitness Connections just this one. So I went last week for a 9am dance class and was told I was inactive after I beep in which was not true I go to nearby fitness connections SO the manager looked me up and indeed I was a customer so he fixed it (at least I thought he did) so I left because my vibe was off and was annoyed but wanted to take care of it just in case I wanted to take a class there. Well today I went for a New Years Workout just knowing I wouldnt have issues again and there we go again said I wasnt a member or inactive. Mind you I can get into 24hr, LA, Planet, Youfit and other Fitness Connections just not Oak Cliff. If it was not for me walking in with the instructor who invited me I wouldnt have gotten in again. Especially annoyed since this was supposed to be fixed by the manager on duty LAST WEEK. Its annoying especially with me being from Oak Cliff and the only gym I have a problem getting in FC Mesquite and FC Grand Praire no problem OAK CLIFF a problem whats up with that. I drive to far for that

Everything is great but when it come to the basket ball court they have some rules that make a huge impact in the game such as having to wear gloves when playing I went a few times and everyone that was there also agreed that the gloves are unnecessary and make it hard to have fun... masks are fine but just the gloves are a problem !!!!

All around the gym is amazing. My kids love the kids clubs. All of the ladies are really sweet. I recently started to go to the gym 6x a week and yes it can be a bit crowded,but thats because people are here to better themselves. The only thing I would change is the Personal Training. All the the trainers seem very commission driven and they only care about the sale. I worked for a gym prior so I understand how it all works. But I would love if the trainers were a little bit more personable. Not.. oh your not ready to buy training, why dont you come back when you are and well ready. Because you are supposed to receive a free consultation when you join, which most gyms have,but the trainers never gave me a consultation because I stated I wasnt wanting to purchase P.T. Also I believe that no matter if you are a training client, if a paying member asks if they could help them and take their measurements they should help them. Not everyone knows how to take their own measurements properly to make sure they get the most accurate results. And I had one trainer state,its only for paying personal training clients. Other than that this gym is everything I could ask for and great on my budget.

This gym is one of the best I’ve been too. Compared to PF, LA, and 24 hour, there’s no competition. They provide the same if not more amenities and the people in the front are great, always making me feel right at home and ready to grind. Especially Jose and Jacob, even when I’m having those days where I’m not in the working out mood they always seem to brighten my day.

Such a great place to literally make your fitness connection! Really great equipment & the staff is incredible: big shout out to Jose & Jacob Hernandez! They make you feel right at home with their generosity & treat you like family. Thanks guys!! 5/5, totally recommend!

Update (2-24-20). Not sure how long I can stay at this location. Classes do not start on time from instructions being late. You show up to class only to find out the instructor isnt coming though it was not cancelled. And the workouts are not difficult. Maybe I expect too much because I moved from the Austin location. But the lack of respect for the time/fees patrons to put in is ridiculous. They get two stars because the gym is nice and has plenty of equipment.I really liked this location. It had a lot of equipment and various group exercise classes.

Been coming to this gym for a few months and have always enjoyed the service and care. People at front desk are very polite and welcoming. I take my daughter to the kids club and haven’t had any problems. The manager is so caring and social with the kids. My daughter loves it there and is always talking about activities being played and friends she makes!

My husband and I traveled from Houston for a few days, and on the evening of our arrival, we decided to check out this gym. Our home gym is in Clear Lake and I must say, this gym is much bigger. Nice and spacious. The team members were very helpful and very patient with us. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because we had to wear masks during the workout. I have no complaints about the rules, however, I didnt like breathing in my mask while doing cardio. I felt constricted. Thats the only reason why I give 4 stars. Stupid covid. 🙄 On a scale of 1 to 10, though, I give this gym a 10.

Beware of having to mail in your cancellation. Yes I am aware by reading the other comments you have replied on that it states in the contract I have to mail in cancellation. I think why everyone is mad is because you are making it harder to cancel then to sign up. Now if I ever am living close to a fitness connection in the future I will stay away due to this. No need to reply with your generic automated message.

This place has great staff! Wether it being the front desk or the daycare center. My kids love, and I mean LOVE the staff at the daycare center, they’re always welcoming and not only do my kids leave with a smile on their face but I do too. Very clean place, great machines to work out on. Definitely recommend this gym if you’re looking for a fun, clean, welcoming staff area.

I really enjoy this location of Fitness Connection. There is a huge variety of machines to use as well as locker room, restroom, sign up for women, basketball court for gentlemen, kids area, fitness trainers, area to sit to buy protein drinks and snacks. Great location. Highly recommend

No complaints about the gym honestly, it can be packed but what do you expect. My complaint is with the cancellation of the membership if you move cities. You can cancel online BUT if you are from Dallas or Austin you have to send a written request and they recommend it by certified mail. Besides being billed another 30 days upon cancellation for a cycle, I see this as a method to collect additional cycles. Should be informed on how to cancel upon signing up to a non commitment.

I have never been to a gym that has a basketball for the kids club or a separate working area for women, which was a brillant idea! Really enjoy this gym and the environment, as well as, the affordable monthly payments. Equipment is always operable.They have a kids area which is awesome for single parents or couples that loves to workout and not far away from kids. Of course the kids area have different hours of operation than the gym itself.Dry sauna is a wonderful addition to the gym for repairing muscles and getting a good sweat after being in there for 10mins.Be aware, the Gym can be a social club at times. So there will be alot of communicating from time time while using equipment.Great gym, wish it was 24/7 like the other locations😓😓.

I’ve been to a number of gyms in my life time but there’s a reason why I’ve stuck with FC. The staff there actually cares not just about you going to the gym but also about the progress you make. Two workers that have stood out and caught my attention have been Jose and Jacob Hernandez. You can tell right off the bat that they put forth their best efforts into making sure that anyone that goes through those doors is coming in with confidence.

The gym has great equipment. Sauna. Women’s area. Love it all. We could use some new machines that have come out. It’s clean and the manager is AWESOME. The best manager thus far.

I love this gym FD Ariana is very helpful at check in. Everyone in general are very nice .. when it comes to having questions and equipment issues. I love the sauna room mainly. The hours are very convenient since I have a new born and the daycare is a plus !!! I really recommend this place..:)

Staff is super friendly! Jose at the front desk always greets me and puts a smile on my face. A good variety of equipment and they put effort into keeping it all organized. Super convenient location for me. Just wish they were open 24 hours as they initially advertised.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of the employees! My children also enjoyed the kids club and the workers were engaged with the children! When you walk in the gym Tracy always greets me with a smile and the managers are always available to answer any questions!

Love working out here. It’s convenient and always got machines to use. All the staff from the front desk workers to the security guards are cool too.

I love this gym very close to home and has every equipment, I love the women’s area! I just wish the club was open later on Fridays-Sunday’s as well as the kids club. I take my 5 month old to the kids club and never had an issue in fact I love the way the take care of her they are always happy to see her! :)

The gym is cool. Great equipment and sauna and very clean on the inside. The outside could be cleaned a little better. But the reason I have them 2STARS is because over 20 vehicles have been stolen from this gyms parking lot. The gym still haven’t got security to patrol the parking lots. Also to add insult to injury they tow cars even tho parking lot is usually packed to capacity everyday after 6. It’s an uneasy feeling to be working out and be worrying about either your vehicle getting stolen or towed.

Very suprising for cost. Ive been to Lifetime & LA fitness nationwide and this Fitness Connection is very clean & has every option available. Dumbells go to 150lb. Also has section for women only. The locker rooms are extremely clean and spacious.

They need to open on Sunday too, at least half a day.Monday thru friday dont have much time to work out. On the weekends I use to do my high volume workouts but now I only do high volume on Saturdays.There are more flat bench presses open now, good job.What they should enforce is social distancing, the dumbell section is always overcrowded. The gym should not allow big workout groups, they take a lot of space and theytake the face mask off to talk to each other.They also need more sanitizing stations they have the same ones they had before covid.Theres a lot of rude people here always taking the weight plates without asking if you are gonna use them, one time this guy was gonna take a plate I had already set up for my bench press while I was resting between sets but this is not the gyms fault.Theres also a lot of people taking their face mask off between workouts or to have a conversation, not the gyms fault either.

This is an amazing facility. Plenty of equipment for even the busy nights. Basketball section is huge! The place is always clean and i see Ataleo and his team going above and beyond to maintain the place to 5 star standard.

Great Location for the south side of town. Loved the huge space and that they give the ladies an option to work out in a personal space for just ladies. The machines or never crowded and its always clean. Like everyone has stated I wish it could be extended hours on the weekends. But other than that Im so here for it along with my $10.83 a month gym fee.

Im so glad I joined this gym! Its very clean and has a variety of equipment. My children love the kids club. They always have a great time. Im so impressed with the way they take care of the facility and how nice everyone is.

The actual gym is really nice has a lot of equipment and a women’s center with a theater inside, everything u need they have it. But the problem is that even though the monthly price is super affordable, they have that 0$ enrollment sale ALL THE TIME, and now the gym is always too packed. The percentage of machines that aren’t being used is not worth the price because you’re paying to be at a. Gym that is too full!!!!There’s so many people you don’t even know where to walk or what to think. The only way this gym will benefit u is if u go super early when it’s not busy. Like at 5am. And even at 5am it’s still pretty full!

Treadmills were cool, went pretty first so I could finish out my cardio workout. Very competitive gym compared to the other locations.
