Couldn’t quite tell when I was there because I wasn’t close enough to the mirror, but my hair was butchered. The part line is nonexistent - completely jagged and looks horrible. I’m not sure if it can even be salvaged.

This is the only barber I will take my boys to. Danny and Osman create the most perfect tapered fades with their thick curly hair.

Lady that cut my hair had no idea what she was doing. I told her I wanted a full trim and to clean everything up and she trimmed the back of my hair and said she was done. Then I asked her to trim my side burns and she trimmed one side and forgot to do the other. Other barbers here I’m sure aren’t this bad but this lady was TERRIBLE. She should not be working on a barber shop. Money wasted down the drain.

If I could give negative stars I would. Besides being distracted — spending the entire haircut on the phone with a customer service representative — the man who cut my hair didn’t listen to what I asked and ended up practically buzzing my head. My girlfriend gave me better haircuts during quarantine. This was a miserable experience and I will not be returning. As the adage goes, you certainly get what you pay for.

Danny has cut both of my sons hair for years now. He is such a sweetheart and always done an exceptional job styling their hair (and they have very different hair types). He is also very fast! I highly recommend him!

Osman is one of the best stylists there. He has been in the game for a while now. Schedule an appointment and see the difference. Youll never go back to supercuts again! Reasonably priced with free beverages. Cant beat that.

Danny has been my barber for about 5 years now, I’m extremely picky, I jumped from barber to barber for about 2 years before I found him, now I’m set again. For the first 2 years, I got only haircuts, a high fade, style and trim on top, which Danny has perfected. For the last two years, I’ve also added beard, nose, ears, and eyebrows. Nose and ears are easy, but it takes a master-artist to get solid shaping on my eyebrows and beard, which Danny is. I always used to do my own beard, but my exposure to getting it professionally done by Danny really showed me the value in styling my beard. As far as eyebrows, less is more, Danny cleans my natural eyebrow curves, keeping them looking well kept and shaped.

This place and the job Danny is doing is amazing. Im so picky in terms of choosing a barber and have been trying various stores to find the perfect one since I arrived in Dallas a year ago. Eventually, I was really lucky to meet Danny who is so kind, patient and a real pro that knows his job very well. I recommend him strongly for jentlemens haircut.

I had rated Luckys 4 stars in the past, but after washing out the product today and seeing Dannys cut I have to change that to one star, and thats being generous. I wasnt going to leave a review, but after seeing the hack job I had to say something. The haircut was uneven, fade was poor, and blending to the top was non existent on one side. I also received one of the worst shaves of my life. It had the awful combination of taking skin and leaving patchy hair. After a day, my entire jaw and neck after covered in razors burns and bumps. On top of that, Danny was trying to do it in a chair not designed for shaves. Danny might be a good stylist, but lacks in the classic barber skills. Maybe he would have done better had he paid more attention to the customer than his bluetooth.

I had an appointment with Danny after trying almost all high-rated Barber Shops in DFW area with the hope of getting the haircut which I was looking for a long time. Danny makes this come true! To be honest, he is by far the best Barber I have ever seen and gave me the best hair-cut I have ever had. If you are so picky and care about your hairstyle and fashion, he is the one you need to make an appointment with.

Rating for my husband who has been going to Luckys for over a year now. We love the service every time we walk in there but today Jeff went above and beyond by putting cartoons on and hanging out with my son! We love Christine and wont go to a different barber even though we live an hour away. I highly recommend. All the barbers are fantastic from our experience and my husband is never upset with his haircut.

I called and wanted my face beards shaved and I asked how much was it going to cost? The guy told me it would be $10 dollars or $20 dollars when he had to used hand blades.I arrived and he shaved me using hand blades. When I went to pay him he changed the price and told me it was $30 and I asked him why? He told me its always $30. I started arguing with him why did he lie to me when I called on the phone.Bad business when people dont keep their words.Integrity to your business is priceless. Businesses like Walmart and many others with integrity would never go out of business because they dont want to make sure that they make money from you many more times than one time.Have a standard a standard pricing.Thank you.

I had my first appointment ever at Lucky’s this week. I generally go to one of the most top rated barber shop in Dallas, but due to limited availability I needed to find a good barbers shop for a mid-fade last minute for a wedding. Ultimately, my experience started off shaky when I was displeased with how my hair originally came out. One of the owners, Greg called me personally to query about my experience. Greg persisted to refund me, and then make sure my hair was fixed by one of his best and most trusted Barbers, Bobby. Bobby and Greg made sure I ended up with a cut I was confident to wear at work, and made sure the client was taken care of. I give Lucky’s 4 stars based on Greg’s diligence to sincerely care about his client base, reputation, and barbers. I would also recommend Bobby to anyone looking for a fade or clean cut. He did a fantastic job turning a haunting cut into something very presentable. I would go back to Lucky’s when unable to get into my personal Barber.

The people are friendly, the haircuts are good, and the price isnt bad, but Ive gone to 2 different barbers at the Preston location multiple times and they never even come close to taking me at my appointment time. After waiting 25 minutes past my appointment time today, without even being acknowledged, I walked out. If someone could let me know if they ever get themselves organized, Id consider going back. But until then, I dont have an hour to kill for a 15 minute haircut.

But for the charge they have charged me today made me realize that I should stop going to this place.Almost every two weeks I will go there for my haircut and shave. Today I just got beard shave the guy who did my shave cut my neck and they charged the price that I use to pay for my hair cut and shave. I don’t know how special it is but trust me there is no special service you will get it. It’s better we should buy a razor and do it at home. Hope customers should realize and think about their money .

Sports clips will never cut hair like this places does.To me, its worth the extra bucks for good quality haircut. but it wouldnt hurt if they had more deals!

First time going to this barber shop and as soon as I walked in I felt like I was surrounded by good friends. The whole environment is like the movie barber shop good people having a good time enjoying life. Jeff was the one who faded me up and he did an amazing job. I had never received a haircut while drinking a beer but let me tell u it’s a whole new experience. I plan on becoming a regular.

Ive never been to a real barber shop before. This place has a very cool ambiance. Theyve got drinks, snacks, beer and walls full of big screen TVs. Up until this point Ive always gone to chains, like Supercuts, Great Clips, etc. Ive not always had bad experiences at the chains, but the bad cuts typically outweighed the good. In need of a better option, I looked for a reasonably priced shop with the real feel. The type of place where I felt the barbers would take pride in their work and want repeat business. I saw some good reviews on this place on google and gave it a shot. I was very pleased. My barber Dennis was very friendly and excellent at his craft. The barbers and customers all seemed like they knew each other and were chatting and having fun. The little touches to the shop and the cut make this place stand out in stark contrast to the sterile, boring experience at the chains. I ended up paying more (but not too much) and tipping more then Ive ever spent on a haircut, but it was well worth it. The haircut was great, but Id actually return for the overall experience. It may sound odd, but I had fun getting my haircut. I suppose there is a first time for everything.

The cuts I get here are great, Danny’s a fantastic barber. However, there needs to be a more strict policy on appointments. I drive an hour and a half from Waco to get my haircut because no one in my town does anywhere near as good of a job. So I set an appointment, reconfigure my work schedule, and make time to head up and get it cut. The past 2 visits, people arrive late for their appointments prior to mine, so it ends up being where I get serviced 20-30 min past when I’m scheduled. I get that things happen, but if someone doesn’t show up to their appointment on time, then they need to reschedule. I shouldn’t be the one dealing with the consequences of other people’s mistakes, especially when I arrive 20 minutes prior to my appointment. I had to leave without a cut because I ran out of time waiting. I love my hair every time I get it cut here, but it’s not worth it if my time is not being respected.

AMAZING. They have been my go-to barber shop for over a year. The barbers there know what they are doing. The prices are very reasonable. I have never been dissatisfied with a haircut. They are great with clippers, scissors, straight-razor, and even eye-brow threading. I highly recommend this barber shop.

Great and professional barbershop

I had been to Lucky’s once before when they first opened and the service was excellent. The haircut was decent which is why I hadn’t returned. My normal barber had to cancel our standing appointment due to a family emergency so I figured I’d try Lucky’s again. Mistake.I made an online appointment for 1:45 pm. It is now 2:11. I was only greeted by the person at the reception desk who, after looking me up, asked me to have a seat. He left soon after. No one else acknowledged that I was there. There were two free barbers, both were more concerned about trying to find the remote and changing the daytime talk show than they were about the three people waiting for service.No thanks…

Took my teenage son in for a haircut and a haircut & shave for myself. Jeff at the Preston Rd. location was very professional and did an outstanding job! I recommend him to anyone looking for a traditional old school cut and shave.

Only place I get my hair cut anymore. Shawns an amazing barber that always matches what Im looking for and even offers suggestions and asked questions to make sure it works for my length and style. Make an appointment, come in a little early and you can have a free drink before getting the cut!

If youre looking to have a beer and chat this is the place, if you want a good hair/beard cut, go anywhere else but here. The first time I came here it was to trim my beard and the guy did a great job. I waited for two months for my beard to grow out a little more so that it could be shaped nicer and I even let my hair grow out too. I made an appointment in advance with the same guy and was excited to have him cut both my hair and beard. Even though I had made an appointment two days before, because I have a crazy schedule and I live 45 minutes away, he showed up 15 minutes late. He sat me down, started to get set up. I then explained to him exactly what I wanted and he said yes, yes several times. And because they spoke so highly of him, and he did such a good job the first time, I assumed he understood what I wanted. During the haircut, he stopped 3 different times to talk to people. Once to speak with his manager about his time schedule, another time to get something out of his car all the while talking the whole time to another barber that sat in the chair next to me. He was so distracted that he completely ruined my hair and beard which will take months to correct itself.

Definitely worth the extra $5 compared to great clips or cost cutters for a noticeably better cut.Been going there for a year now, they use scissors as much as possible and avoid clippers.Also, free sodas and drinks offered if theres ever a wait. Can call ahead 20 minutes and request/make a reservation for your favorite barber to ensure no wait. Otherwise, a 5-10 minute wait maximum on weekends.

Called in for an appointment and asked if I could get someone who is familiar with fades. I was recommended to a guy named Dennis and I set up an appointment for 2 pm. I came in 15 minutes early and I was told that someone else was expecting Dennis at 2pm!!! How is it possible to double book someone if you have a system for appointments??!?!??!. I was seated with the first available barber, his name is Bobby I believe. I told him I wanted a fade and what I got is not a fade!. Ive got a better haircut at barber college for $5. Now to put the cherry on top. I was not offered an apology for being double booked, and was not offered a drink during my stay. I was charged $25 for a bad haircut I gave a tip as well so around $30 (I always tip). Now I have to wait till my hair grows again so I can get it cut right. This is unacceptable. Last but not least, i did not get the 1/2 off my haircut as advertised for being a first time customer.

The service and staff at Luckys was fantastic as was the atmosphere. Unfortunately thats where it stops. The haircut was mediocre to say the least. I normally go to a barber and expected to see one there since they call it a barber shop. As I was just trying the place I though that telling her to cut it without it looking like its been cut was a safe bet. Not so much. She cut it pretty short and even worse it has grown back VERY uneven. I had a Groupon for $16 so I wasnt that upset. Its only hair and can be fixed. Since they were all so nice I may give them one more shot. They do carry a small amount of wet shaving products. They would do themselves and their customers a great service by expanding their selection to shave soaps and aftershaves, etc.

I got the best haircut Ive had in long time, just moved here and have been looking for a barber. The shop is very well laid out, the best part was my barber though. He took the time to hit all my trouble spots without having to ask and finished me off with a nice neck shave. Again best haircut in a long time

Good place for a haircut. Get a free (alcoholic or soft) drink while you wait. Lots of TVs inside. Call ahead or go online to make an appointment. Parking can be a little tough sometimes but its manageable. Prices are a bit high though.

Im a regular here. Danny cuts my hair and hes a great barber. Ive never seen a nicer barber shop for men that knows how to edge up and fade my hair and still have a good swag while keeping it clean and professional. Its very well managed.

I have recently received the best haircut in my life at Luckys! Its a nice little local shop with an old-school vibe. Im tired of certain franchises that are everywhere. ( They never know what theyre doing... ) This place is the total opposite! I walked in, set up my cut, got offered a complimentary drink, and Mr. Shawn took me to his station. ( This gentleman is a boss! - I highly recommend him ) I gave him little direction and he turned my head into a work of art! To get a professional cut, this place was much cheaper than other places in the area, and they do better work, so dont hesitate to stop in if you need a cut. Im a customer here for as long as I am alive and near Dallas.

Its obvious from reading previous reviews that Luckys gets both kinds of reviews (+ / -), just like the place I came from. Ive been coming here for about 6 months. Marcia is my barber, and she does an awesome job! Never had a problem. Also, Ive had to wait once or twice, but never lost my place in line. I dont have a particular style that I like - maybe thats the difference. Also, I get the senior discount, which helps. The thing I like the most about Luckys is that they dont try to be hip and trendy like other shops, and while they have several TVs available, theres no loud music, so I can talk to Marcia as much or as little as I like. As for being offered a drink, I can take it or leave it. Anyway, ask for Marcia and I dont think youll be disappointed!
