I was referred to “The Grooming Room” by a close friend & overall had a very pleasant experience. Ask for Abi and you will NOT be disappointed- she’s quick, precise and did a fantastic job on my son’s hair. Would recommend- will be coming back!

I asked for a medium fade and the First Lady that helped me said she is not good with fades and got someone else to do my hair. That is a nice move because I would rather have some who is confident in what they’re doing do my hair. The next person goes up and I tell her I want a medium fade and I get a high fade that doesn’t even fade. The left side of my head and right side do not match. It does not look like there is a fade at all, just bald, then hair.

Have had 3 different barbers and all have great cuts and were lovely. Definitely the nicest and the friendliest old fashioned barbers that I have been to in Dallas.

I used to just walk in and get a decent cut until I found Ashley! She is THE BEST and gives me the best haircut! She is from California and has styled many of my favorite celebrities! I often see her work on covers of magazines while in line at the grocery store. So happy she is here in Dallas! My sons and grandchildren love her. I’ve been going to culwell for the past three years Andy’s me tell you out of the handful of people I’ve had cut my hair Ashley is the absolute best. This woman is a artist when it comes to hair, and the conversations? Oh lord she make make a hour long appointment feel like ten minutes. I’ve never had that awkward silence when getting you haircut with her plus she has an amazing memory so she’ll actually remember where you left of from the last time you came in. Ashley did a fantastic job with my hair. I had let my hair grow out to be quite long. We took off about 7 inches to give me a great modern cut for the summer that still kept my curls and has gotten lots of compliments. Im often hesitant trying new hairstyles since not everyone can cut curls, but Ashley gave me one of the best haircuts Ive ever had.

I have been getting my hair cut here since I was a kid. I’ll be 40 soon & Kieth has cut my hair as well as my brother’s hair for many years. I absolutely will not go anywhere else. Kieth is top notch & the best of the best. If Kieth isn’t available or I can’t get in to Kieth, which isn’t often, then I have David Gomez cut my hair. This has been a family place since day one. My family & I used to attend the culwell family picnic many years ago. Anyone who needs a hair cut, I recommend Kieth. I usually come as a walk in, but have been to Michelle 2 times. Haircuts are always great! Management on the other hand could use some work. Hes usually pretty aggressive towards the staff every time Ive come in.

David Gomez gave me the best cut ive had in months. I came in on a whim after I overpaid for a cut at a fancy salon, and they totally butchered my hair. David took me last minute and cleaned my hair up nicely. Its been a while since ive gotten this many compliments on my haircut, so I really owe it to him! He gave me a great price and a MUCH better cut then I had before. I was worried it couldnt be fixed but he did it! Will definitely be going back to David.

I went there a couple of days ago. I’m giving The Grooming Room 3 stars. I would give 5 for my ah-mazing stylist who gave me a beautiful cut and blowout BUT the way that I witnessed her being treated by the manager, the bald guy at the front (I think David???). It really upset me and made me uncomfortable. Completely unprofessional.The shoe shine man (Blue?) was super sweet!

Ive had good and bad experiences with Grooming Room. They do have good stylists, but you might have to try more than one person to find one.

Great place for a more upscale barber shop experience. There is a cozy waiting area to sit while you wait for your appointment. Rosalyn is an awesome hair stylist!

Our favorite and only barbershop since 1983. Two of my boys grew up getting haircut from the Grooming Room. It is like a family to us.

I have grown up in HP so everyone knows the great reputation the grooming room has. Yet, I have never had my haircut there personally until last week. I was so disappointed, I was very clear about what I wanted and the barber must not have heard anything I said. I look like got in a fight with a lawnmower one side of my head is shorter than the other and he took nothing off the back so it looked like a mullet. I told him about it and he said it would look weird if I took some off the back hahaha. Instead of debating the point I paid and I went to a different barber and he said there was nothing he could do I would just have to let it grow back out. So I have been going to meetings and client dinners in either a hat or looking like Joe dirt super not happy. For anyone going to the grooming room bring a picture of what you want done do not leave them any room for interpretation.

Hair cut was great. Getting a shampoo was a challange had to move the barber chair to get a shampoo at the station. Defranco gives a good hair cut.

I visit Santi in the Grooming Room frequently for shoe polishing. Hes extremely nice and accommodating. Always smiling. Most of the staff are welcoming as well. Very friendly and pleasant to speak with.I say most because today there was a man who ignored me while I waited to pay. When asked if he was helping me, he very nonchalantly pretended I still wasnt there while continuing not to make eye contact. He was asked if he was taking my payment. He said no and went back to looking at his monitor.The gentleman who asked him however was very helpful and playful. He smiled and tried to lighten the tension joking how the other was just a little grumpy and ready to go home. I wish I knew their names. Of course I will be back to see Santi. I just hope the helpful staff member is able to take my payments from now on and I wont feel so belittled or disregarded. I dont want to let this one rude person ruin my previous positive experiences though so I still rate 5 stars.

They always look extremely unhappy whenever an SMU student walks in the door. Not a good place for students.
