I LOVE this venue. The physical layout is very accommodating. The balcony seats are up high, but feel relatively close to the stage. And the GA floor feels equally close. The stage elevation is right in the middle of both, which provides a fantastic closeness from anywhere in the building! Security good. Bar tenders busy. Restrooms ok clean. 1 ticket checker lady was kind of a gash, but eh. Most everyone else is cool.

We are from out of town and my husband had never been to a HOB. So we made some reservations for a Thursday night(6/10 to be exact). Not really necessary as it was not busy at all. Our server was great! Super sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. The artist was great too! Very talented. The negative is that not all the food was good. My daughter and I shared some ribs, which were good, but the mashed potatoes were cold and flavorless. My husband got a burger, medium. It was more medium rare. The drinks are overpriced and werent anything special. We will possibly go back if ever in town, but will be more mindful of the food and drinks we get. Just didnt really live up to the hype...but then again, it seems more like a music venue.

Excellent venue! One of my favorite.Sound: excellent. From the side of the stage, pit, back at the bars to the seats upstairs... sound is consistent.View: no matter where you are standing the angle of the floor makes the view great. Even the very sides of the front-stage are great without any pushing or shoving needed (if that’s what you prefer).Drinks: Plenty of bars on each side and the bartenders are attentive. They remember you and make sure you are taken care of quickly.Staff at the front is courteous and organized so you are in without a hassle while doing their job correctly.PARKING - be aware that they don’t have their own parking lot. Valet is cheap which may be tempting but the line to get your car after the show is extremely long. There is a public parking under the highway (2-3 minute walk) and cheap.

Me and my group had a good time. The food and drink was good. We attended the colors R&B show it was suppose to start at 830, but it didnt until 10. We paid for v.i.p but couldve got general admission since there really was no difference. They had tables but you had to pay an additional $100 for them. I guess it was worth it since the alternative was to stand the whole night. Spoiler alert!!......its just a dj playing music while you watch there was no room to really dance....

A perfect place for the kids to show their talents. We also had a Christmas Holiday show this past 2018. The guests that were not a part of the show enjoyed it as well. Our shows are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!I cannot thank HOB enough for giving the kids a place to SHINE and what a better spot than the House of Blues?? Food and drinks are over rated and over priced. Food was cold. Drinks were over priced for the cheap alcohol served. This establishment is understaffed; managed poorly from the front door to the kitchen. The live musical groups performing deserve a better compliment in regards to it being a bar and restaurant. They should just allow people to BYOB; just serve beer because that’s really hard to screw up; and not serve food. You will have a much better time at Dick’s Restaurant directly across the street.

As a small concert venue this place rocks. IT ONLY seats/stands about 2,500 crazy concert fans. If your more our age and have the money and the means I strongly suggest to pay the extra and sit in the VIP section. You get table side call service of good food and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages brought to you by friendly hostesses. If I was still in my 20s or 30s Id got for the very reasonably priced standing room only on the floor, but Im 50 so VIP for me.Sound is great, food is good, Beer is cold. Air Conditioning is great too. Sound is better then the autistics at Dos Equis Pavilion.

My wife an I attended the Fritz and the Tantrums concert here. We originally purchased general seating tickets then upgraded to VIP. At first my wife was not too keen on the VIP seats but a supervisor from Live Nation came over to see if we wanted to go back to our original seats and made sure we were happy with our upgrade - we were. The table server was awesome, she went over and above. Sadly, they were out of the only plant-based option on the limited bar menu (impossible burger), so we had to nosh on garlic fries. Not a big problem because we pre-ate before attending the concert. The concert was awesome, the service was over the top and the venue was perfect for the post-COVID experience. Thanks HOB Dallas for a great experience!

Getting back to normal. Saturday dinner reservations made for 5 at 5 pm. No issues getting seated. Waitress was friendly as were many other members of the HOB Dallas staff. We ordered nachos for appetizer. 4 Yard Birds and 1 Po Boy to round out the order. Overall, the food was decent. Total bill with nice tip was around $130.The star of the show though was the live music. It was enjoyable to sit, watch, and listen to musicians share their stories with the crowd. Once the food is back to pre-Covid levels, this should be an easy 5 star. Until then, stop in to eat a meal, drink a drink, and support the musicians.

Ive been to five or six shows here this Summer alone and Im always impressed with the venue. The downstairs area has three large bar areas and a beer cart, so Ive never had to wait long to get a cocktail or beer. Cocktails are surprisingly affordable for a music venue, and the price of beer is about what youd expect. My double shots of Makers Mark currently cost $13, and a 24oz. domestic beer is $12.There is always plenty of security at the shows and the events feel safe and well organized. Metal detectors and wands are outside the entrance and there is an abundance of security inside the venue. The acoustics are fine, and the in house stage lights are fantastic. This is a great place to see concerts and is always a much better experience than the fair park amphitheater -- it is obviously much, much smaller. Sign up for their mailing list and you may even receive up to six free tickets to their less popular shows.

Was in Dallas for just a few days, decided to take my wife and some friends to the Drake White concert, read the venue information on the House of Blues website, NOWHERE does it state anything about a bag size policy. Bought two tickets, Ubered over Saturday night, waited in line only to get pulled out and told my wifes tiny Kate Spade backpack is too big to bring into the concert. Explained we were not locals and Ubered here, no place to store her bag, the guy just shrugged and said we should of seen the policy on their Facebook page. They were unwilling to accommodate in the slightest to their customers. The tickets were non-refundable. HoB failed to include this policy on the event page and on the ticket purchasing page.

I was then told unless I was a cop I cant have my weapon on me. There are many professionals that are issued weapons and not all cops. Correct your signage to properly display the policies you want, Ive used this location for many family dinners and buisness meetings, not anymore though Ill bring my clients and my buisness elsewhere from now on.
