When I told them I was moving to another place, they lifted the insurance. And keep my wifes insurance unchanged. That is due to God knows best. Because my wife is from the same country as the ladies who work in the office.
Although the agents are nice and professional on the phone the process of 2 week on a return is going to be at a minimum of a month. Speaking to a supervisor does not speed up the process. I am not sure where the disconnect is but information was not forwarded and my address was not updated in the system. They also failed to close my account for 3 months and continued to withdraw funds on a cancelled account. This resulted in the refund that I am owed on a vehicle I have not owned for those months due to a trade. Discovery of a better rate by another company is why I changed my insurance provider.The 2 stars is for professionalism on the phone and the lack of the 3 stars is for compliance.

I started with Gainsco 2 years ago and my first 6 months were fine but every 6 months after that rates kept increasing till my policy ended up $30 more a month and they couldn’t explain why just that my area rates were going up. My clean record with no violations or no accidents didn’t matter. Their website is also horrible. You can’t do any policy changes or even printout or your policy online. I am done with this company.

I had a wreck that was not my fault on June 30th. Went to the ER due to my neck and Shoulder aching. I went to the chiropractor where they stated that they called and the chiropractor stated that I was never treated. I have receipts and all. How my vehicle was hit the trunk was jammed and water got in my trunk where I had over $4k invested in my sound system. I was able to get in the trunk to clean my vehicle out and my Skar Audio subs and amp were damaged. I sent in emails from Skar Audio after I sent my Amp and Subs off confirming they were indeed damaged from being wet. I sent in receipts and emails to confirm and now my calls are not going thru Andy emails have not been responded to. On top of that I had to wait a month before receiving a rental. This experience has been the worse experience ever. I want what is entitled and owed to me. I’m suffering and nothing was even my fault. Really thinking about seeking Legal Action. I refuse to take this much of a loss.I’ve been told that these people are underhanded dishonest and crooked. They have the right one. I’m glad I still have my paperwork and receipts for everything. This here is ridiculous and sad.

I have been trying to reach my claims specialist for over 2 weeks now. No response. Her voicemail says she will call you within 24 hours. Clearly not true. Her voicemail also states her boss’s extension, which doesn’t work.When you call customer service, they state that only the claims specialist can help me. Who never calls. How am I suppose to resolve my claim? Very disappointed!
I didnt even mean to run into them but I am beyond happy to do business with them. SR-22 for non driver is 50/month for no incidents in the last 3 years (but a trashy driving record). Other places were charging me 100-200+. Johnny was very informative and kind, and handled things very quickly. I am insured!! Wow!!
We had our insurance jump up with no explanation to it, when I call them they do not get back to me with the answer to my question, they also transfer me over to someone else who then transfers me again, I got so fed up so I called to canceled and they want me to jump through hoops for them when Im the customer and been with them for some time now, I do not know why they dont have any help or anything when it comes to the pandemic and barley driving my car!!! No discount nothing their is a PANDEMIC and many people are at home and they turn around and charge me more?

Been over two months since my car was rear ended and Ive spoken to over five people and according to the following non-action, Im not worth the time to return calls nor is my attorney good enough to return calls to despite the twenty plus theyve made. My adjuster has been changed seemingly randomly and neither of them have done anything about my car. My job was out the window after the accident and I made really good money and they havent even been out to look at an assess my car. Its gotten to the point that Im going to start looking at legal action in order to get my life back on track since I have no other way to get around and I live out in the countryside, literally a thirty minute drive to any town.

I had Insurance with them for no more than one day. They charged me almost 191.79I had a professional insurance agent after my previous agent set me up with this terrible company (Gainsco) the said the policy was not good at all, That is why I cancelled it.I was told by the agent that Gainsco would reimburse with a check. A month passed by and I havent received the reimbursement.I spoke with a person earlier and she said that they sent a check for only sixty some dollars. She gave me some lame explanation about them keeping over 130 dollars. I strongly recommend NOT to use GAINSCO.
This insurance place is a joke! Their drive hit me and totaled my car. It took me 3 months to even get them on the phone once they got the accident report proving their driver at fault. Then tried to get me to sign the title of my car over to them WITHOUT telling me what the payout on my car was going to be. And if thats not bad enough, they only are offering $800 for my 2009 Pontiac!! Are you kidding me?
I had Gainsco insurance for two months, full coverage with a $500 deductible... I was in a car accident on August 6,2021. They sad I did not sign a document, which is there responsibility. When there the leasing agent!! And now they wont cover me or give me my money back... Dont get insurance here. They are a fraud...

Every situation I’ve run into with this company has been very disappointing. They might have somewhat decent prices, but will never help you out when it comes to actually using your insurance. It’s better to spend a few extra dollars on a more reliable company.
Long wait holds; rental and towing are a waste of money because its only reimbursement at a very very low rate. Towing is not enough reimbursement to even get the car on the tow ramp, let alone all the miles after that. Otherwise its a good company and a really cheap
My car was damaged in February it is still not repaired. I have been a customer since 2010 and I am so frustrated by the lack of customer service. I call the adjusters and they dont call back. Finally I got my car in the shop to get my car repaired last week. It is still sitting there, because hey wont talk to the shop.

This is a nightmare, the insurance is high as hell for liability and they keep sending me letters saying my insurance would be canceled due to non payment but they definitely take their payment automatically from my account. Ive been calling customer service for 4 days and have yet to speak with anyone all i keep hearing is the automated voice saying how much customer service is important to them… After my insurance expires with them i will not be returning

I had received a spam or scam text saying my auto insurance was canceled.This was to get me to interact with the people/person that sent the text.But I took my policy called Gainsco to verify that my payment is withdrawn every month automatically.It is and everything is fine.I was taken care of quickly, the employees are very polite and I was assured that my policy is just fine.Thank You Gainsco for your prompt response and the quality of care you took to make sure that I was taken care of.Cyndi .
Just finished a repair job with Gainsco.Their appraiser doesnt know anything. They fought every step of the way. Due to THEIR mistake, the claimant got screwed out of car rental.Stay very far away. If someone hits you, their fault, and they have Gainsco... just file with your own insurance, and let them fight Gainsco. I wouldnt recommend to anyone.
On the 26 of April, I paid my policy online. A couple days later, I notice an alert from my bank. Somehow more money was taken out than my normal payment. I had to go to my local bank and have them to stop the payment. While there, money was still coming out my account.. this time from my savings. Several days later, I was able to use my bank account and called to make a payment. The nice lady took my payment over the phone because it wouldn’t allow me to do so online. Today, I get several calls saying my insurance is canceled due to none payment. While making again another payment... after checking my account they wanted to charge me NSF fee of $25 for insufficient funds. Spoke to a supervisor named Stephanie and she stated that they couldn’t drop that charge but they wouldn’t charge me $3.95 to use my debit card.. This is bogus and unprofessional to charge your customers a fee for something out of their control. This company is so unprofessional and chooses to waive whatever and whenever they choose too.. NOT AN HAPPY CUSTOMER AT ALL.....

Automated web and phone services never seem to work. Over complicated to make a payment without calling. Then states open until 3p on Saturday. Try calling before 3 and sorry we are closed. WTW?

Filed a claim and the car has full coverage finding out that the insurance doesnt want to cover the damage. 3 popped tires and oil leaking from a long piece of metal that was on the hwy that damaged the car. Never have I had an insurance not cover a car if I was the passenger and someone was driving my car. If I could give a 0 I would. How is it the drivers fault the long Metal was on the hwy couldnt even see it on time if we were behind a truck and it went under it and we didnt have time to move anywhere to avoid not hitting it. Could have lost our lives and car may have flipped. What would they say oh it dont your car or medical because someone else was driving your car even though you are the passenger.
Was rear ended by an owner who was insured by GAINSCO on August 2nd. Claim filed on August 9th, pictures submitted to adjuster on August 10th. Reached out a week later calling multiple times and leaving voicemails to my adjuster, Daniel Trujillo, to hear an update on the situation. No response. On August 18th, had to call corporate office and they redirected me to him where he mentioned that the estimate was complete and that I would be receiving email with regards to Rental Car information and receiving payment that same day. No email of either of those things to this day. Ive emailed twice and called multiple times with no response. GA Law states that insurance agencies have 15 days to respond when all forms are submitted. The lack of response- when liability is clear through being rear ended and the police report documentation- is incredibly frustrating. Nothing against this guy, I just want to get my vehicle fixed and move on.

This is a horrible insurance company they don’t call back when they say there going to call back I had a claim adjuster jake sena and I have yet to get a call back yet unprofessional. Worst insurance company to deal with so if your car get hits by one of there customer just go ahead and get your own insurance involved .
Customer service is terrible. Was on hold for 33 mins and never got anyone on the phone! Last month Gainsco sent a threatening letter in the mail regarding kicking me off their plan for not paying my premium. Im signed up for direct deposit. Theyve debited my acct 13 consecutive times, but for some reason, they didnt for July. I was forced to pay a fee along with my premium to get it cleared. My question for their rep would have been, is this going to happen again? Instead, this will be my last month with Gainsco.
My husband has to have SR-22 insurance and they are reasonably priced I definitely recommend this company for insurance . I have never had an issue with this company and their prices are very good
I have been waiting for 5 business days for a return call. I was referred to Ms Fernandez and left a voicemail with claim number for a client of theirs and my phone number. No return call. The next time I called got voicemail that stated if urgent call her Supervisor so that’s what I did. I explained how long I’ve been waiting and his voicemail also states to call another extension if urgent. It’s been 5 business days!!! HOW CAN I SPEAK TO A HUMAN TO ASSIST ME???
This is one of the best insurance companies that I have ever had. They are extremely helpful and always courteous, plus you can hear them smiling while talking with you. I definitely have and will continue to recommend them to my friends and family.

Can only comment on the customer service which has been horrendous for the past month. Filed a claim against one of their policy holders on June 23rd. Claim is still open even though I have not had any contact with the agent on the case since July 1st. I have left message 10+ times for Yulissa Magnus, notes within the online claim portal, and have been told a supervisor would be in contact within 24 hours. I have not heard a single thing. Even when calling the general customer service line Im on hold 30-45 minutes only to be sent yet again Yulissas voicemail. I have also requested a change in agent to no avail. My car was damaged while parked and GAINSCO has made no move to cover the loss or close the claim so that I may pursue as an uninsured motorist. I cannot imagine why anyone would opt to entrust this company for coverage.
*** Buyer Beware ***This company gave me a quote for $169 a month for liability on 3 vehicles. Then each month afterwards my payments kept going up even though there was no tickets, no accidents and no claims. When I asked them why I was told that it was prorated by the months of the policy. By the time I got feed up with the rate increases I was paying $242 a month and still no claims,accidents, or tickets.

Poor website make you jump through hoops. When you dont want to renew your policy. Call and tell them you dont to renew your policy. After waiting on hold for 30 mins. Get told to email them the policy number and why you dont want to renew. After you already told them on the phone.

The worse insurance in history!!!!!!!!! They almost had my car auctioned at a tow truck company after my car accident. So I’m sitting here paying my note while they Left my car in the wrecker for a month? A month. They’re excuse was I pay my insurance late which was odd because I paid it early most times. I was told I pay sometimes around the end of the month like 25th ish (normally pay it 8-15th day) but apparently it was the first of the month?????? So- Finally they picked up my car and never got back to me. My car is DRIVABLE and could of been fixed this whole entire time. I specifically asked for rental when I signed up but I’ve been without a renter car all this time? Highly disappointed. Very expensive car smh I would of been highly upset if it got auctioned while I’m paying it.

One of their insureds hit me, at first they were good and very detailed but as of now I can not reach anyone. I have called and emailed for two days as, y car is supposed to go in the shop on Monday at 9 am and they were supposed to send me a paper for it, I have texted, called,. faxed and the receptionist even put me on hold for someone to help me I sat on hold forever with no one to come to the phone. I reached out to the two adjusters names i had and no luck then reached out to the supervisor and no luck there either

Had to file a claim against one of their insured and they were very quick about getting the claim done and me getting the repairs done that I needed.
I have been leaving numerous messages regarding a claim and my calls are never returned. My wifes car was hit by a Gainsco insured driver and we cannot proceed because the individual handling the claim refuses to return phone calls and email. I guess I am left with filing a lawsuit.
Ok long story short save your money. I had my registration revoked cause the entered the wrong vin on my policy. When Alabama did their periodically mandatory Insurance check it showed up i didnt have any insurance because they entered the wrong vin #.

I was stopped by the police saying I did not have insurance coverage. I’ve been on auto-pay since I started with Gainsco. This happened on a Sunday morning so I couldn’t retrieve my car until Monday. I never received a notification that a payment was needed or anything. I looked at the account I have set up to make these payments and a payment hasn’t been deducted since April. I’m now calling to find out why. They’re suppose to open at 8am but I couldn’t get through till 9:48 am. And I’ve been on the automated system holding for one hour and 38 mins in counting.
Honestly, this is probably the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Yes, they can be cheap at the start but over time their prices go up with no explanation and winds up being way more expensive than the well known, reputable companies. The website doesn’t work at all, the only thing that works is the link to make a payment. Can’t access documents online or anything! And it takes 30+ minutes to get in touch with anyone and half the time someone hangs up on you right as they get your call. It was like this even before the pandemic so I don’t know what’s going on there. They aren’t open on the weekends either! You can get so much more for less with other companies.

Unless you want to get charged the same amount youre next term they dont really do discounts they dont really care about you as an individual all they want is that money. Definitely not going with them for my next term my insurance was $253 why would I pay $253 the next term when I had no accident and nothing was wrong trash.
I started a claim online and was called in the next couple of hours by an agent name Johnny Garcia from Gainsco auto insurance. He managed to get me the cheapest rate I’ve ever gotten with around the same coverage and he was very informative and explained to me everything I needed to know to complete the process.
