Every encounter with Crown Audio has been great, including their excellent communication! We had our brand new home build set up for surround sound in the living room, gym and outside patio, along with tv mounts in those areas plus a couple more. From Brad (who sadly is no longer with Crown Audio due to the pandemic release of employees) meeting us at the building site before walls were even up to map it all out, to Josh taking over communications for Brad, to Emerson coming out for each install and finally to a replacement tv mount that they did for us on the patio due to the original mount not having a tightening bolt so the wind wouldnt knock it around. These guys have been so wonderful and we are hoping they are able to take on our new outdoor pool area we are wanting to tie in the surround sound to, that theyve already perfected.
I had an up and down experience with Crown. Their technicians and equipment installers did a great job however the sales staff left a lot to be desired.I was still hoping to give them more business but an unprofessional/insulting email (with some bold and false accusations) from one of their sales staff (along with less than ideal past interactions) really pushed things over the edge. There were other small omissions in their delivery that I wasnt happy with (example, lack of RJ45 plugs on Cat6 cables already paid for), but I was ready to give them a pass on it, looking at the overall workman ship.I am an audio and network equipment geek and have bought lots of equipment over the years from AV dealers, in other words this wasn’t my first rodeo, so I was a little disappointed at the lack of long term relationship building.It would be unfair for me to not call out the great work their technicians and cabling guys did, they went the extra mile and were very courteous and kind to deal with.I’m hoping this was a one-off type situation, but since sales is an integral part of the customer experience as a whole, it is hard for me to recommend Crown at this point
Amazing service and technical know how to make your home operate perfectly!! Jeff and Rick plus the tech team did an amazing job helping us get set up and then doing some additional work in our Game Room. Great recommendations and IMMEDIATE help with a few challenges we had along the way. Great customer service! Bravo to the whole team at Crown!

I couldnt be more impressed! Jeff with Crown Audio/Video took it upon himself to help restore and clean my dads 1960s McIntosh MAC 1500 receiver and donating KLH speakers as my dad was battling COVID19. My father unfortunately passed away, but one of the last memories we have of him being thrilled was seeing and hearing the exceptional work that went into this project. Im positive that music helps the healing process, and now my mom will always be connected to him through this beautiful gift. We absolutely cannot thank the team at Crown Audio/Video enough, and theyll have customers for life now!
I was in town for a trade show and I needed a cable to hook up an audio receiver. These guys were close, so I stopped in. I quickly realized that they were a contractor service for installing and integrating audio and video equipment, not a retailer. I asked if they might have the cable I needed in their warehouse, and if I could purchase it. One of the guys, seeing that I was short on time, pulled the cable I needed out of his laptop bag and told me take it. When I asked to pay for the cable, he said dont worry about. I cannot attest to this groups ability with installing audio and video equipment, but their offices were sleek and professional, and I think it says a lot about their character that one of their employees was willing to help a total stranger.

They actually want to charge us now for labor on a system that they cannot get right. Do NOT use this group for commercial installations. They dont know what they are doing.
Great Experience! Buddy and his team of experts were very professional. We received great service and quality products. Theyinstalled all our audio needs for our media room, a security system and a Ring doorbell system. Anytime we have needed support they have been happy and helpful. We would highly recommend them!
Workmanship was good. We were moving from DFW to SAT. Contract clearly stated they were to provide all cabling needs, but I had to have an electrician run conduit and set up the space so it was easier for their techs to install. We ran into multiple scheduling issues. I had to pay extra because when they showed up we had to turn them away because the time wasnt conducive to our move-in schedule, but they offered no discount for either their two scheduling issues (tried to install in the office we were moving out of and missing our deadline to install). 5-star for quality, 1-star for service and not living up to their own contract.
We had a huge entire house (6000 sq foot home) set up 1.5 years ago with the original Crown Audio company. Needless to say right away we encountered some sound issues... they would come out and not be able to rectify... it wasn’t major issues but for someone who expects top of the line surround system to work, and all systems to work in Synergy... it wasn’t good enough. Today the new owner came, and he was fantastic and clearly knew right away the problems and how to resolve them.. AND THEY DID... the sound has never sounded better in our theater and he was precise about measurements to theater chairs and such... we are so happy this new owner purchased this company. He also shared tech ideas for some of our other TV systems in the house. We are so happy for these new owners who know how to do it right! Thanks again, and now we will call for new projects, and will recommend you as well.
Crown Audio Video installed the sound system and surround sound at our home. The service was very professional and quick. We love having the music at the pool with just a snap of our fingers. All the equipment is top of the line. Watching a movie with the new surround sound is above and beyond what we expected. Wade and the technicians were EXCELLENT! Quick response time, fair pricing, quality service for a great price! We needed a very large conference room tv installed and another relocated. There was some fabrication and wiring installation required for both. They made it happen, and made the process easy! They are very thorough in their work and accommodating to your needs! I would recommend them to anybody and use them again any time we need their services.
Crown A+V designed, supplied, and installed all my AV equipment for my office and home. They were professional, quick, and gave me a wonderful system. In addition, the cost was better than other professional AV installers. I have met each member of the team and been impressed with all of them. They know their business and what would work with my needs. John Dunn also gave me different options that could be done within my budget. I will use them for any future AV jobs I have. I cannot recommend them more.
Used Crown three years ago to install my media room and this time I wanted to do a family room upgrade and these guys nailed it again! Made great recommendations and didnt break the bank. They were fast and thorough.
I had Crown do a couple of small projects at my home. They did a TV hang in one room and added a subwoofer to a setup in another room. They took their time and did a beautiful job. There were no wires to be seen, and they wrapped up without leaving so much as a spec of dust. They were polite and courteous. I strongly recommend these guys!
Crown Audio Video did an amazing job on the TV install in our bedroom. They installed a new TV and a sound bar. The staff was professional and very punctual. They showed up at exactly the time they said they would, completed the install, and cleaned up afterwards. I couldnt ask for better service. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Crown!

I reached out to crown after being less than impressed with other companies I researched or talked to about my home audio/video needs. Crown guys were prompt in response time and seemed to appreciate what I was looking for versus trying to sell me something I didnt want. We went thru a view different iterations of proposals before we finally had something equipment wise that would make most sense for my needs. The crown guys were overall pleasant to deal with and I am generally pleased with my selections/purchase( knowing that all the audio/video guys will overcharge for certain parts, cables, etc)One tip for others is to know how Crown charges for Labor. Their labor charge start when the techs start loading up the vans. So if you are in an outer suburb, watch out or negotiate (my job had a 2 man crew at $150 per hour). Additionally, they do not charge in time increments of 15 minutes; only in hour-long segments. I did not know this until after the install was complete, perhaps my fault for not specifically asking when i generally asked about how Labor charged. Just something to keep in mind as their proposal only really specifies that Labor will be billed based on actual hours and doesnt specify when clock starts/stops.
Not even a paying customer (yet) and Wade S. spent a lot of time answering questions and providing lots of information. Theyll be my first call when Im ready to upgrade.
After reaching out to Several (7+ )DFW Companies to take on a Very Large Interactive New System Install, Crown Audio Video was onsite with only 1week till my final Install Deadline. Wade and the crew quickly had meetings put product on order and within 24hrs were onsite. I had very HIGH EXPECTATIONS as a business owner, wanting top of the line product asking for many things to interact and in such a short time. Not only did CAV Install quickly but were also a PLEASURE to work with. Every phone call text and email was responded to within in minutes. If I had any issues or questions within a hour someone was onsite to address and make sure I understood how to use. (NOT OVER THE PHONE, BUT IN PERSON)! I have a 17,000 sq. ft facility in which I use multiple speakers that needed interaction between many different products. I wanted speakers that could operate at the same time playing different sound, as well as many other rooms with audio, video interactions.Even after Complete install I called with yet another last minute product install request, by last minute I mean 48hrs... Once again CAV came thru delivering and installing product so that I may operate fully for my event! I really do not have enough words to express how Thankful we are for all of the Time CAV put into making our facility top of the line! Pricing was excellent, Timing didnt even seem possible yet they made it happen! I will continue to use them and tell everyone I know about them! Get EVERYTHING in writing...... & audio record every conversation, luckily I did. These guys think they can continue secretly, royally screwing people over... without getting noticed. The jig is up!Run dont walk away. If you want your time wasted... feel like being taken advantage of & a customer experience that is about as enjoyable as being robbed at knife point in your living room... choose Crown Audio & Video Inc. I know this is just my experience. Ive heard plenty of happy people have done business with Crown, but I am not one of them.Crown Audio & Video may have great people... but they are great at covertly squeezing customers and using ambiguiouty omit facts so customers cannot hold them accountable.Working with Wade & Buddy left so much to be desired. It was an absolute nightmare. After purchasing more than $10,000 worth of new equipment (new tv, receiver and Control4) to connect and control using Amazon Alexa... the install ended with no integration.This authorized C4 dealer promised to return to program our Amazon Echo. heck, thats the whole reason we chose Control4. The advertising from Control4 regarding what the system can do... is completely misleading and false. 10 weeks later... Control4 has never been used w/ Alexa. Its still not connected. The website and promotional materials say, imagine and thats exactly what youll doing...I contacted Control4 and they attempted to blame the dealer... Who returned to replace the receiver because it stopped working. Instead of replacing it liked they promised... they claimed we needed an electrician. I had Crown audio refer me to the electrician that they feel comfortable using... Electric Man inc who then charged me $169 for a free consultation to determine what the problem was... then the electrician that crown audio chose stated that it wasnt the power or the receiver... it was indeed the television that was causing the failure.You get the distinct feeling that something is wrong or youre being swindled of or worse yet ripped off when youre using an iPad to watch tv while youre sitting in front of a brand new $8000 television with a $1000 home automation device and none of it works because everyone is passing blame... and the control 4 authorized dealer you hired to integrate Alexa and control 4 in fact hasnt the foggiest... and continues to invent new ways for you incur expense.Whats Sad? I was excited and patient and addressed the issue: The manufacture is not supporting their authorized dealers and leaving it up to them... without any support, training or time to integrate Alexa. The simple fact that the hardware and software is proprietary means they refuse to allow users to access the authoring tool so that we can do it ourselves.Requests were submitted by email. Verbal requests were made in person and two meetings were in initiated by myself in an attempt to clarify the disconnect... and get both Wade and buddy to focus in on finishing the job originally promised. To no avail.Do not purchase any Control4 product unless you want your time wasted... and feel like being screwed. Sure, control4 is a wonderful product but I wouldnt know because I bought one and never had a chance to use it .Imagine if I found the C4 composer pro edition make my own home automation happen... not everyone can go online & hack to happiness. A solution: DIY... or find, and vet a real home automation integrator you can trust.Josh.ai is an alternative... as is Apple Home Kit. There are many solutions, hacks and open source tools that you can use to modify a variety of hubs. The industry is growing larger and theres more oversight everyday. So, if youre in the market for home automation the best thing to do is just do it yourself or find and hire real professionals with documentation: proposals, estimates, contracts that are comprehensive.The Internet & Technology can be cruel mistresses... & Ill go ahead & say... this nightmare tarnishes Crown Audio and Videos reputation... what a shame. Karma is coming Crown.
