This company is an insult to all the legitimate auction houses out there. Christian obviously saw his Google ratings plummeted right from the jump. And must be buying 5 star reviews. It is not a coincidence that nearly EVERY single 5 is just that a 5. No comments on purchased items. Nothing. The 2 pictures here are of the same watch with 2 different names for the reviewer.Bottom line is YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your actions. Due diligence is imperative. Especially when in the investment market. My advice here is STAY AWAY. Run fast and far.

These people sold a coin graded at AU55 and when I got it it didn’t seem like it was true so I took it to 3 coin stores and they all said they weren’t gonna bother with the coin because the grading was incorrect and they had never heard of the company that did the so called grading. When I called them and left various messages no one called me back. I called back and left a nasty voicemail and they called me back. The guy told me he was going to look into it and call me back. Nothing. Twice they’ve said that they would call me back and nothing. So basically they ripped me off with a coin that doesn’t measure up so my attorney is going to contact them. They’ve had their chance

It amazes me how GSA can push so many coins out at auction each week. Always received exactly what the picture showed except a recent snafu where a Draped Bust half was listed as a dollar. GSA was prompt, courteous and quick to resolve the issue to our mutual satisfaction. After reading another reviewers negative review, I will say that you have to check the pictures very carefully. I have received cleaned coins but most of high quality with no problems. I will definitely be back soon to keep scrutinizing the photos and bidding.

WARNING: I spent over 14K with these people. They sold me an 1885-S morgan dollar as uncirculated. It is not. Second, they sent me a heavily damaged slab on one of my purchases. Third--they shorted me one coin (it is a $20 coin but that is not the principal). I have emailed and called a few times. NOT ONE SINGLE RESPONSE. I dont know what it takes to get these people to make it right but they have a lot of bad reviews. I learned my lesson. I would give me a -5 if I could.

These folks are great! Dont get discouraged by the multiple reviews by the people complaining about spending big bucks on raw coins at auction and being disappointed. I made an initial $200 purchase for 3 coins and I received exactly what I bid on. The shipping could be a little quicker but at the end of the day if I receive my product thats really all that matters. I created this account to specifically review GOLD STANDARD AUCTIONS with 5 stars+. For the simple fact that after reading all the negative complaints about them I was very anxious about even $200 let alone the $2700 that I hadnt spent with them yet. So if youre reading my 1st ever and most likely last ever review just relax and enjoy your coin(s). Gold Standard Auctions is AAA+!!

BUYER BEWARE. These raw coins are not in the condition GSA claims in their descriptions. 3 separate orders 3 separate occurrences, i.e coins have been cleaned, coins have oily substance on them, coins are claimed to be uncirculated, but clearly are circulated. They omit many issues with the coins presumably to get more $$$. Ive made numerous attempts to resolve with them, with the latest excuse of We cannot view media files here. I sent them a video of the issues and they dont speak technology. Theyre not even in our century yet. BUYER BEWARE

It’s embarrassing for me but if it helps you it’s worth it! I found HiBid and gold standard auctions from the recommendation of PCGS in December. I purchased $1,000’s of coins. I purchased an 1873 CC seated dime advertised as AU graded by PCGS VF Details damaged, 1795 $1 Lightly circulated graded by PCGS VF details damaged, 1858 25c advertised as Choice proof graded XF details cleaned, 1805 1C Closely Uncirculated graded VF details cleaned, 1806 1C Nearly uncirculated graded XF details environmental damage, gold 1851 C $1 advertised Choice AU graded genuine AU damaged, gold 1850 O $1 advertised uncirculated graded as uncirculated details surfaces altered, gold 1855 C advertised AU graded as VF details damage, gold 1850 O advertised choice BU MS63 graded genuine AU details damage, 1859 S advertised AU 55 graded as XF details scratch, gold 1863 $1 Advertised AU58 graded as XF details damage, gold 1870 S $1 advertised MS63 graded as genuine AU details cleaned. 1806 25c nicely circulated was bent! Gold 1851 D advertised MS60 graded as genuine AU Details damage. Not one coin graded without problems!!I tried multiple calls and emails requesting owner to call me regarding this multitude of problems. Several thousand dollars later not even a courtesy to call me to discuss. I hope you will learn from me and not from these crooks that puts a terrible scarlet letter on our great industry. Every auction had these Fancy title’s of these great coin collections from LA venture capitalist, Silicon Valley CEO, Cayman Islands Bank hoard, Casino Owners and Etc. These collections did not have 1 gradable coin. They are scammers and should be in jail. Hope you read this before and not after your experience with Gold Standard Auctions! Best of luck!

Caveat Emptor -- Buyer Beware. After having spent almost $20,000 with these folks, I can now give quite a bit of insight on them.1) 100% of the high-dollar raw coins that Ive purchased from them and sent for grading have come back ungradable because they all have been cleaned, most of which were advertised by the auction house as uncirculated or nearly uncirculated.2) This led me to a little bit of investigation, since PCGS suggested they might have seen one of my coins before. Sure enough, after one of my coins came back AU Details - Environmental Damage, that gave me a very narrow search to find that sure enough, the coin I now had, had been purchased in January at Stacks Bowers in a container from PCGS marked AU Details - Environmental with the exact same damage in an the exact same location and pattern, purchased for half of the value if truly in AU condition. In three months time it had gone from graded, to crack out of the case, sold to me as uncirculated, and regraded and reimage by PCGS with the exact same features and outcome.3) Now that theyve been up and running for a few months, Ive observed the pattern of their auction names. Its always a location + some qualifying occupation that the supposed collector had. E.g. - Texas Lawyers Estate, ATL Developer Estate, CA Surgeons Estate and my favorite (sarcasm) coming soon is TX Oil Tycoon Estate. I guess we are to believe that a Developer, or surgeon, or oil tycoon would never have altered coins? Its worth noting, that in their own picture on their website shows stacks of ungradable coins. There were more pictures up, but theyve gone up, however, today as of my writing they still had one up. I find this interesting as Ive sat through hundreds of hours of their auctions and dont recall having seen them sell anything in their b lot that was ungradable because of details. That being said, I havent participated in all of their auctions, just enough to know what they are up to.4) Their shipping is inconsistent at best. They once they left $1,800 worth (they were not worth $1,800 but I had paid that much) of coins out of my order. But they always have to be followed up on, because they certainly have never proactively provided me a tracking number. They do send items through registered mail, as is appropriate, but they dont consistently communicate back to their customers.5) Because of the shipping above, Ive had the opportunity to speak to several of the people who work there. And I was initially surprised, but then realized the type of company I was dealing with. I was surprised because at least four of the 5-star reviews left here on Google are from employees that Ive actually spoken to on the phone when calling their main number. Try it for yourself, but Ive had phone and email conversations with at least two of them.Hopefully my exhaustive review helps some of you folks avoid buying coins. If their pictures look blurry, it probably isnt an accident. If they say uncirculated, but the lighting on the coin is highly advantageous, take an extra good look. And learn a lesson from me, which is, that if a Texas Lawyer was so proud of their coins of potentially high value, theyd would have sent them to PCGS or NGC for grading, not left them raw. Caveat emptor.

I’ve spent several thousands dollars here in the last few months. While I did have good experiences with the customer service and the shipping that’s about it. The first set of higher end coins I bought from them I sent to PCGS in November for grading which I just got back due to COVID delays and they were CLEANED!!! If you know anything about coin collecting this is almost as bad as the coins being fake. They had sold these to me a AU/BU coins and I understand that grading is subjective but in no way did I know they had been cleaned. I think this was incredibly deceptive and the pictures they use are more like doctored scans that make grading yourself harder to do. I started checking my other circulated (less valuable) coins from them and started to have some more concerns. A few of the Morgans I bought were a little under weight which is an indication of a counterfeit coin. If I were a buyer I would BEWARE!!

Hi I purchased a 1850 O Seated Liberty Dollar and it was supposed to be graded AU 50 only 2 pictures when I bought it,The Value was said to be $3750 I sent it to PCGS to be graded because it was Graded by a Blind Guy because there was a HUGE SCRATCH which you couldnt see in the Picture. And when I got it back it was Scratched AU DetailsI lost $ 2600 + 80 in Grading. Called several times dont call back, got Live Auctions involved really they are all Scammers. Called BBB for Fraud and my good Friend is a Marshal and I plan on taking Legal Action Against Them. Enough is Enough.

If you are a victim of gsa, file a mail FRAUD COMPLAINT with the USPS based on GSA SELLING AN UNCIRCULATED COIN AND MAILING a CLEARLY CIRCULATED COIN.Dont buy from them if you have have any interest in getting value. From cleaned coins to a child grading the coins. They provide a minimum number of photos and those are usually shiny or blurry. Nice lights on the ceiling right?2200 (+15%) for an uncirculated gold coin? Wrong, it grades at xf35 and max worth about 1800. The photo was shiny and you couldnt see the wear on the coin. It looked beautiful, but it was well circulated.I dont even shop on HiBid since they keep allowing this crooked business to keep going. Amazingly the guy I was in contact with was named Christian. Boy did his parents miss.Im happy youre looking a feedback. There are good coin auctions out there. One in NJ comes to mind.

Beware of Gold Standard Auctions !!!I was very dissatisfied with their customer service...Raw/ungraded Morgans silver dollars purchased in this auction. their self grading system is very loose and not accurate and it drastically inflated the price of the coins I purchasedPoor images and descriptionsThe coin I bought from this auction turned out to be graded by PCGS details with “questionable color.” GSA claims to have an in-house expert with 10 years of experience; yet, they sold this coin as if it were legitimate. It cost me and left me underwater on the purchase..Over Selling CoinsGSA exaggerates the grade of the coins. Most of the time they are overselling saying a lot of things that are not accurate to get the price up. Then they hide behind the statement sold as is when you receive the coins. The worse customer service ever.... buyer beware !!!!!!!!
