In July they stopped picking up our garbage. We cancelled the service in July 30. We have made 5 dates for them to pick up the trash and recycling can. The pick-up person says they come on days after the scheduled date (which we arent notified of the change) and that the cans arent by the street. This week they were to pick it up again. Our cans have been by the street since the day before the pick up (Thursday). When we called on Friday afternoon, they told us the driver came that morning (not the right day) and they werent out (which is not true). The supervisor promised the manager of pickup would come that day for the cans. 3 days later we still have the cans. Called again and talked to Courtney (supervisor). She said she cant make a solution today (not surprising as there has been no solution for almost 2 months). We contacted the city and they got us a new pick up day. Why can someone from the city get an appointment but Courtney who is a supervisor cant even get ahold of another department the same day.We ended our service and want to be done. Why do they keep prolonging this unwanted relationship????Dont start with this company. Youll never be able to end it.
Pictured is three weeks of my family’s trash, sitting on the curb, getting torn up by animals every night and re-packed by us every morning. This is because Republic just decided to stop coming to pick up at the end of July. We’ve called nearly every day, been promised resolution, promised a call from management, promised that the truck is “on its way” or “just down the road”, all after waiting for 30+ minutes on hold (daily, for three weeks… you do the math). This is the worst company of liars and incompetents. If there was a zero star option they’d have it.
Had republic for 2 years and it was a nightmare. They skipped our house frequently, always told to leave can out and they would be back, but that only happened half the time. They charge ridiculous fees for bulk item pickups, and still dont pick it up. This business is a joke, save yourself the headache and call Kimble. Oh and when you cancel they charge $30 to get the can back! Im so done with them.

Had a large pickup item. I called And schedule a pick up. I gave them dimensions size what it was made of and how many. They told me they would pick it up Friday no problems. They did not pick up the items and never called to let me know why. I called at the end of the day to see if they were still picking it up as I was having a party due to it being a holiday. And they told me they were on able to pick them up because the items were too big. I don’t understand why they needed all the dimensions of the items and assured me they would be picked up if they were too large. I asked them if I cut them up into smaller pieces if they would pick them up and they said yes. But not today. They also Would not give me dimensions of how small the items needed to be cut up for them to pick up. I feel like it’s a waste of time even leaving a one star review being that almost every review is a one star review. Republic really needs to get a customer service together I wish somebody else offered pick up in our area.
Their service Is consistently Poor! They charge double what their competition charges. Then they give a kickback to the landlord of these condo rentals in Kent. They did NOT pickup the trash on 11/25/20, our normal pickup day, and NOT a holiday. What a RIPOFF!!!
This is not the first missed pick up on our scheduled day! I have complained before with no response, I always pay I time yet they continue to disappoint. I will be looking for a new waste removal company this week!
I just received my new bill today. Last time I paid my bill it was $109. Today my new bill is $128.,plus there was a $25. fuel surcharge, no way. I will cancel my service tomorrow. I have had my serviced missed a couple weeks ago, they told me I would have my garbage picked up by the end of the day. They never did show up, had to wait until the following week to get it picked up.
Just got off the phone with a woman named Tammy after trying to politley figure out why I was charged for a service I Did NOT receive and I have never been treated and talked to so badly by any service representative in my life! I was literally on the verge of tears. She was so rude, the whole time talking over me when I would ask a question and even raising her voice. Its unfortunate that I am forced to go through this company for waste disposal.but I hope someone who has a choice will read all the reviews before choosing Republic Waste. ****DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
I wish I had seen these reviews prior to starting services with Republic. I had literally just started about three weeks ago, and theyve already missed every single week of servicing. I called to report the missed pickups, and the lady was incredibly rude to me, and pointed out that they are a Fortune 500 company, so they are a great company. Seriously, but they cant do their one drop of picking up trash???? If things dont turn around quick, I will be a very short-lived customer. Come on Republic, get your s**t together.

I scheduled an appointment for pick up services for bulky items June 9th before end of business day. Well as youll can see today is June 11th and the couch is still on the front lawn... TERRIBLE SERVICES !!! AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!!

By FAR the worst company I have ever directly dealt with! Pure laziness, the employees do not care about anything but themselves. Pathetic!!
If I could give this zero I would. Regularly days late with no notice. One week they didn’t come at all. They will tell you they’re coming and they don’t. My entire street wasn’t even picked up this week.Update: After several complaints / calls to their main phone, I contacted the township who put me in touch with someone at Republic. They took care of everything. Had one other incident after that where branches were not picked up that were supposed to be, but they took are off that right away as well. Looks like they’re trying to make good. Changing from one star to three, unless something goes wrong again.
Horrible service from beginning of service to when i cancelled it( about 2 minutes ago), spent hours over the span of a few days to get a special pick up done after a previous attempt left the item splayed all over my drive way. no one wanted to help me, i even offered to be home and physically put the item in the truck. Also they are over priced, spend a couple more minutes searching and youll find better service for less.
My mother has to call every week to see when her trash will be picked up and yes it is put out the night before . All the neighbors get theirs picked up. And yes her bill is auto paid
Always raising their prices! Finally changed companies and then I get a bill for $38.70 for them to come pick up THEIR container! $30 to pick it up and $8.70 for a fuel recovery fee! WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I wouldn’t refer my worst enemy to this type of robbery! This business is worse than the trash they collect!

Worst service I have ever experienced. I reported a missed pickup. Nothing. I called and was told that they were going to escelate the status of my pickup. Nothing. Today when they didnt pick it up AGAIN on a regularly scheduled day, I called and was told that they would DEFINITELY be out by the end of the day. Nothing. Find literally any other service. Seriously - anyone is more reliable than this. There is NO direct contact to the local area and you get routed to a national service that has little to no say in what happens with your trash. Cancelling first thing tomorrow.
If you live in the ravenna area I would definitely consider republic services, they have amazing service features like: Not picking up your trash for 4 out of 12 weeks 3 of which being consecutive. Then when its time for you to pay them they will demand full payment for shotty services. Definitely an A+ company, you can call them and listen to hold music for 3 hour or schedule for a call back by the end of the day that rarely happens. I always recommend them to anyone who has wronged me in the past because they have the type of service you deserve.
We Have had them for a year now. At least once a month they dont pick up the can. This week has been the final straw we will be cancelling. With the holiday everything is a day behind. Thurs morning is our normal pick up after calling Fri afternoon Mon morning and Mon afternoon we were assured it would be picked up today. Just got home at 5 still there still full. When we call we are treated like we did something wrong. Trashy service garbage customer service. I should just have to write the check and not worry and not stress.

I can’t believe this company can’t do their one job of picking up trash. We have had so many weeks where our trash has not been picked up at all. It’s ridiculous that they can’t do this simple thing.
Garbage. Have missed 4 out of the last 5 pickups but always pick up my recycling earlier than the rest of the street. Customer service had been good before today-escalation center was a joke-lady contradicted previous statements and significantly provided erroneous information-cancelled by customer, please.Also stated you get one or the other-service or credit-so i still pay for service even when there trashy service, fails to meet basic expectations. You should check out Atomic Homefront, on netflix-itll make the decision easier when cancelling.

Terrible service! Called them ahead of time to let them know I had extra trash. They picked up my neighbors trash on trash day and left all of mine. Called them after that and they kept saying youre on the schedule this day for missed trash! Still sitting here the next week for regular trash day! I do not recommend this company.

Aweful service we have multiple dumpsters. You never know when they will show up and will miss dumpsters. Trash piles up over floors are the the ones to pick it up.... NO we have to all because the dont show up.

Republic has the worst service I have ever had to deal with. I am constantly missed for trash pick up and then when I call to reschedule they never bother to come for that either! I never can get to speak with a supervisor. I have had 1 call me and leave a message, when I called him he never answered or got back to me again. Worst service ever! Find another company.
Absolutely the worst company to deal with. Cancelled my service because my trash was constantly missed or just skipped altogether. Then, their automated system calls me every Saturday afternoon when no live person is able to speak with me to tell me I am past due. According to them, I was charged $25 for them to come out and pick up their trash can. Oh yeah, I never received a bill for that either. I called and spoke to one of their reps and told her I was never sent a bill and I wasnt paying for them to pick up their trash can. She tells me its non-negotiable and conveniently there was no supervisor to speak to!
A one star because that’s the lowest it can go..4 calls to them because they missed my trash pick up, for the 5th time..they lie saying it will be picked up the next day, it just sits on the curb for a week till the next week pick up...you can find better
Hired this company for garbage service $50 deposit, first week they picked up my trash, second week they were three days late, the third week they never showed up, the fourth week they never showed up, I had to hire a new garbage company to come empty their trashcan and now they’re sending me a bill stating I still owe them $50

Absolutely horrible! Customer service is awful. They never pick up when they should and they recently drove over one of my personal trash cans and left a huge mess in my yard for me to clean up. Horrible!
