I just wanted to say that this non-profit organization (BIC) is an amazing organization. I have had so many options of getting more training for my daughter and finding people who can help mentor her and network with other stewards in other cities. This has been a great experience and the organization is filled with wonderful people and the support is outstanding. I just want to thank you all. Niki
I cannot say enough wonderful things about BIC! I have been an ambassador for 3 years now and have been presented with so many incredible opportunities to perform and learn from experienced dancers. Everyone is so supportive and kind; the BIC staff have truly worked to create a family. I truly feel blessed to be a part of this organization! :)
I have been taking Zoom classes online since my studio closed last year due to the pandemic. Ms. Jessica has brought together some of the finest dancers to not only teach, but to mentor us younger dancers just starting out. When I started taking classes I expected to learn and keep dancing throughout the pandemic. What I didn’t expect was to become part of a new family. I also had the honor of being asked to be a City Steward representing Ballet in the City, and I couldnt be prouder. Ms. Jessica makes you feel welcome and she truly cares about her students. I highly recommend taking classes with Ballet in the City they are amazing!
I have only ever had wonderful experiences with Ballet in the City since connecting with them 2 years ago. I have loved every class and guest teacher that Ballet in the City has brought in via Zoom, and the photoshoots are always so fun! I have been able to take class from ballet icons, all thanks to Ballet in the City. They are truly doing the community an amazing service and I can wholeheartedly say that I could not be prouder to be a City Steward. Thank you to Ms. Jessica and the whole BIC team for running this wonderful organization. I absolutely recommend taking their classes and supporting their cause.
Words can not express my appreciation for what Ballet in the City has provided me and to so many dancers everywhere. The master class experiences and performance opportunities have all been amazing and unforgettable. What I have loved most is the feeling of family and the many friendships I have found and maintained through this organization. I cant thank Jessica and the many parent volunteers for the work and dedication to maintain BIC through a worldwide pandemic but for also giving so much of their time to ensure this organization continues. Looking forward to what lies ahead with Ballet in the City.
Ballet in the City is like a family to me. During these tough times BIC has helped keep me inspired and motivated. Everyone involved in this organization is so genuine in their mission and goal to create a special community of artists who want to spread the love of dance in your city and beyond. I am truly thankful and proud to be a part of such an amazing community!! Please check it out, you won’t be disappointed❤️ BIC has so much to offer. I am so proud to be a part of Ballet in the City💞
Our daughter Addie is part of this amazing program. Ballet in the City delivers ballet to dancers of all ages in such a beautiful, caring and giving way! The scholarship programs are just the beginning of what they give back to their stewards who support them.We are so blessed to have our daughter be a part of this program. She has learned about giving back, loving and supporting people she has not had the pleasure to meet (other than on zoom). Addie is currently 7 years old-and these are wonderful, important life skills she is learning while loving ballet.Ballet in the City gives and teaches so much more than just Ballet steps. They are raising amazing people who are becoming amazing dancers 💕🩰
Since the moment I joined the Ballet in the City family, I have been loved, encouraged, supported, and introduced to such amazing people. Ballet in the City came into my life at the right time, and the classes I have taken with BIC have been some of the best...ever. Ms. Jessica, the founder/executive director and magic behind BIC, is so wonderful and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Ms. Claudia, BICs communication powerhouse/executive assistant, is so amazing and kind as well. So are the rest of the BIC team. Even though I have never met them or any of my BIC family in person, I feel like I know them so well. I am so honored to be a part of such an absolutely phenomenal non-profit organization and family. I highly recommend checking out Ballet in the City and seeing everything that they have to offer--from their classes to their support and everything in between. I promise you that you will definitely not regret it.
I have been apart of Ballet in the City since I applied for and received the 2018 BIC/Discount Dance scholarship, and words cannot express how incredible these few years have been. Ballet in the City has created and given numerous opportunities for beginner to professional ballet dancers. BIC had given me so many experiences and done so much to help me achieve my dreams! I am beyond grateful to have met some incredibly talented artists and gotten to dance/perform with them. Ballet in the City is like a second family to me and I feel so loved. Thank you to Ms. Jessica, all the BIC staff, and the dancers for being so dedicated to ballet and Ballet in the City! I am so proud and honored to say I am and be a part of this beautiful organization. I can’t wait for the many years to come! #fiercelycommitted 🧡
Ballet in the City has been life changing for me!! Last year in 2020 I was the recipient of the Patterson school of Ballet Scholarship and that program changed the course of my training and got me to a whole new level of dance. Without BIC I would not be making the gains I am today. The master classes are great, but what I love most is connecting with a community of dancers as passionate as myself.
Ballet In The City makes the world a better place by supporting the art of Ballet and the talented artists and artists-to-be with whom they work. I am proud to be a BIC Steward and have benefited immensely through the programs, mentoring and friendship they have provided to me. The pandemic has been difficult on us all and the world needs the beauty, positivity and strength of Ballet now more than ever.
Ballet in the City is an incredible organization that is bringing young, aspiring dancers together and connecting them with professionals across the country. After the pandemic the dance community needs connection more then ever and this organization is making that happen. So much change is on the horizon and it is because of places like Ballet in the City that the ballet world will be able to grow and inspire a whole new generation.
We first learned about Ballet In the City back in 2018. At that time my daughter Marja’ applied for the African American Scholarship that they offer every year. She was fortunate enough to be picked as the recipient that year. Marja’ and our family have continued a relationship with the BIC family Needless to say after her scholarship she applied to be an ambassador and now a ballet in the city Stewart. From the very beginning this organization has been supportive, encouraging and has given these kids so many opportunities it is unreal. Even through the COVID-19 pandemic they provided opportunities to connect with Ballet professional via Zoom. Jessica and her team are amazing we hope to always be apart of the Ballet in the City Family. ❤️
The instant I was introduced to Ballet In The City in summer of 2019, I knew that they were an organization I wanted to be a part of. The constant encouragement and support given by the organization is unbelievable and everyone in the BIC family shares connections that seem unmatched for never meeting a lot of these people in person. Just by seeing a post on Instagram or Facebook, you can tell that the stewards are committed to the organization not only because they were selected to represent, but because they know the morals of the organization and support it 100%. My favorite part about BIC is that the teachers chosen, stay involved even after teaching and BIC is a fun and awesome community to share with others. For example, the teachers that have taught over zoom recently are still connected with BIC, by talking about them, posting and tagging, liking and commenting etc. This shows that once in a situation with BIC, people stay connected even if not instructed to because they feel it is important to spread what BIC is talking about and promoting.
I’m honored to be a steward for Ballet in the City. It is a wonderful nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for everyone.🤗💗
I’ve been supporting Ballet in the City and their wonderful program for almost a year now as a fan and was recently selected as an adult ballet ambassador! I had the opportunity to attend a few events last year but was unable to due to my own schedule but I’m so looking forward to the wonderful opportunities to come this year! I think it’s so wonderful that they are so accepting of dancers of all ages and abilities because it’s so uncommon in the ballet world! I can’t wait for all of these new experiences and friends to make in 2019!
Ive discovered this organization this year and I love to see the array of opportunities they provide for dancers! I am an adult ballet dancer who has recently been selected as an ambassador, and I am thrilled! As an adult with my love for dance, I often feel under-represented and not taken seriously. It means the world that Ballet in the City is so accepting of dancers of ALL ages! I can not wait to see what this next year holds!
Ballet in the City provides valuable educational and inspirational experiences for all dancers. My students have truly enjoyed the events and classes they have attended through Ballet in the City and look forward to more! The staff of this organization is professional and compassionate. What a fantastic representation of the arts community!
Ballet in the City provides a positive, professional, and inspiring environment for all dancers. My daughter has loved every event she has attended and looks forward to more! I have seen her grow as not only a dancer through this organization, but also a person. The experiences she has had and the people she has met through Ballet in the City she will cherish forever.
After they announced their ambassadors, I saw all sorts of people say what a privilege and honor it was... yet not one person said they weren’t selected. I had an inkling that they just accepted everyone who applied. And why not? Ambassadors are required to fundraise at least $150 each for the brand. The more ambassadors, the more money. I tested my theory by telling them I wasn’t selected.... their response? “We don’t know what happened. We accepted you, check your junk mail!” Only problem? I never applied! So sorry to all of you who thought you were “selected” and given the “honor”.... you weren’t. 😕
So thankful for all the wonderful opportunities you’ve created for my daughter. Ballet in the City has exposed her to new experiences that have encouraged her to follow her dreams. For that, my wife and I are forever grateful for your organization.
