My son enjoyed the coding program. too bad it was only a few days long.

I highly recommend Sylvan Learning! My daughter was below reading level in school so we decided to get some assistance with helping her to catch up. They are very patient and skilled with helping improve my daughter’s reading skills and giving Her confidence. They also make it fun. My daughter has definitely improved and we are grateful.

I went to Sylvan for SAT prep and their program helped me tremendously! Testing anxiety is something I have long struggled with, but Sylvan helped me to prepare for the SATs content and also gave me the necessary confidence to succeed. With their guidance and practice resources I was able to achieve my goal test score!

I went to Sylvan looking to improve my SAT scores and test-taking skills. The knowledge, strategies, and confidence I gained during my time at Sylvan exceeded my expectations. The SAT course at Sylvan, online prep course, and practice tests all helped me to achieve my desired test scores. However, these goals could not have been met had it not been for the incredible teachers and staff who are dedicated to not only the academic success of their students, but also building relationships with their students. I highly recommend Sylvan for tutoring and test prep!

My son started attending Sylvan Learning Center for help in math last year. He has gained more confidence and is much more willing to learn new techniques. He loves math again. The staff is patient and accommodating. I appreciate all the work that you do. Sylvan has been a great help to us.

I especially liked how his progress was calculated and discussed at our monthly meetings. So I could see how far hed come from when he started. I would recommend Sylvan in Cumberland and especially Gail!

We wanted to supplement our childrens math and reading confidence; the small group allowed them to ask more questions to gain understanding while learning to speak up. With the many activities scheduled in the week, this was one activity they never complained about attending. The reward system (coins earned per session) surprisingly encouraged them to attend and stay focused for the session. They both indicated that the program was helping them understand the subjects they were learning (and their test results at school reinforced that). Gail, the owner, is pleasant to work with and keeps us up-to-date with their progress. The teachers have provided a lot of support and encouragement. I would recommend.

The staff here is amazing. My son started with a lot of trouble areas and no confidence. Since attending Sylvan Learning his has become confident and his struggles are minimal. Everyone is helpful and patient. I would recommend all who have children in need if help to consider signing their children up. They are amazing at what they do for each of the children they work with. Thank you so much for helping my son feel special and smart. It lifts my heart and I cant thank you enough.

My son looks forward to Sylvan all week. He is on the spectrum, so, I was worried that they would have a hard time matching up an instructor with patience and skills for him, but I was pleasantly surprised and really thankful that Sylvan had a great match for his needs. My son will continue his calculus studies and wants to include physics there as well. they met the challenge! Nothing but understanding and professionalism. a great place!

The staff is amazing! They are super flexible when it comes to scheduling sessions. I love that my daughter is getting individualized reading attention. She works on comprehension, vocabulary, and phonics. She is super motivated by their token program.

Gail and the staff at Sylvan Learning Center of Cumberland have been the catalyst my daughter needed to help her catch up with grade level curriculum and stay on track with her peers. School has never been easy for my child, but Sylvan was able provide her with a program that allowed her to work at a comfortable pace while still challenging her. The tutoring she has received at Sylvan of Cumberland has not only improved her grades, it has improved her confidence. That in itself is priceless. I cannot thank Gail and her staff enough for their patience and understanding.

Our daughter was not behind in any of her subjects, in fact she is an A - B student. Our concern was getting her the attention needed in the areas not fully covered in school. Sylvan advised us that our daughter would progress a full level by the end of the term. She progressed just that - the best part, her test scores doubled from the previous test, taken just 4 months prior. The reward system is fantastic as it proved to be a great motivator. Well worth the investment.

My son went twice a week for the summer to help him with reading. He got his summer reading done along with the summary. He had a great attitude knowing he had accomplished the summer reading with no stress or arguing. And his confidence showed it Thank you Sylvan Learning.

I sent my two boys to their STEM camp this summer and they absolutely loved it. The lego robotics was great for my 7 yr old and the computer game programming was fun for my 9 year old. They both said they want to do it again next year.

My Son is getting help with math and reading and enjoys his sessions. He is treated with respect and the instructors are patient and he is finally getting the help he needs. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

Highly recommend Sylvan for tutoring. My son was behind in school due to health issues, some of which he is still dealing with, and not only did they support him in catching up but they helped him to believe in himself again! So thankful!!

A great and fun place to learn and improve on you skills

Gail is a pleasure to work with - very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Sylvans testing was dead on in terms of evaluating strengths and weaknesses for both of my kids who also enjoy working with the instructors there as well. Ive seen significant improvement in math and English for both of my kids (6th & 8th grade). I would definitely recommend them.

My 8 year old has enrolled in Sylvan learning center a few weeks ago for help with her second grade math skills, only after a few sessions I have noticed that she has already become more confident in the ma thematic field. I can say that I have been satisfied so far with her sylvan experience.

My 11 year old took a course in writing last year and it gave him the tools needed to take the MCAST. He also took Coding I during the summer and is now taking the PSAT.My 9 year old completed the summer Math Edge as well as summer reading. These programs are a plus to keep your child on point for the upcoming school year and Sylvan Learning in Cumberland, RI does an excellent job, I wouldnt think of sending my boys any other place

Im so glad I decided to take my son here. I feel that hes finally getting the concentrated math help he needs.

My 5th grader nows has confidence in her math abilities, something we struggled with in previous grades. The learning environment is excellent along wth the staff. The kids get tokens as they are learning different skills and able to cash them in to get different toys and gift cards. I only wish that I had went to Sylvan sooner.
