Honestly, I do not want to leave a one start review, but I feel like I have to. My cat requires a prescription food that needs authorization from a doctor from this hospital, however due to Covid-19 and other circumstances I can not take my cat to vet at this moment. My cat acts healthy and all it needs is a permission from the doctor to order a quality food. Even though I explained my situation to the clerk over the phone, this hospital was unable to authorize the purchase of the urinary care cat food. I acknowledge that the hospital does EVERYTHING by the book, however, I feel that such approach excludes compassionate treatment of animals. My cat was left without necessary prescription food and I am left with another challenge to overcome to just feed my cat.

I just want to take a moment to recognize and share my thanks for how awesome the folks at Sepulveda Animal Hospital have been throughout my entire pet ownership experience. From the very first puppy wellness check through our pups neutering yesterday, the folks have been professional, personal, friendly, reassuring, and always happy to hop on the phone to share information, advice, or to reassure us that everything we are experiencing is normal and A-OK. Special shout outs to Kelly Ann and Amanda behind the desk - they are the best!

Dr. Galea has cared for my kittens and cats for 23 years. He is an exceptional vet, very kind, explains everything, extremely knowledgeable...I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. Very reasonable fair prices as well . It comes with being an ethical vet.

I moved here from the east coast recently and needed to find a vet for my shih tzu. He seemed to be in some pain and was just overall not acting himself (didn’t want to eat/drink, didn’t want to walk, sitting weird). Even though they have new protocols in place due to the pandemic, I was very satisfied with the service. The vet called me while he examined my dog and even came outside and talked to me some from a distance. He seemed to really care and was very personable. The next day, I sent an email before they opened because I was still concerned. He called me as soon as they opened and even though they were extremely busy, he still told me to drop him off so he could take another look at him when he had a free moment.I’m very happy so far with this animal hospital!!

I had an amazing experience with Sepulveda Animal Hospital. I had recently adopted a dog who was spayed but her surgical area looked inflamed and was oozing. I freaked out and called them and Crystal was so incredibly helpful over the phone. She helped assure me everything was going to be okay and went above and beyond in giving me advice. She did not know me or my dog but she was really advocating for her health. After I took her in for an appointment, they took excellent care of her and really alleviated my stress. I will definitely be returning for my routine preventive care as they went above and beyond to show how much they care. Thanks again!

Dr. Galea is incredible. He is so accommodating and kind to our tiny dog Cali. He also always takes the time to follow-up with us and explain the various procedures. Recently she got a foxtail in her nose that Dr. Galea was expertly able to remove from her seriously small nose. Dr. Galea is the absolute best and I highly recommend Sepulveda Animal Hospital. Wouldn’t trust our pup with anyone else!

It was way more expensive to get my dog neutered here than a non profit, but I had taken my dog to a non profit three times and they never had capacity to do the procedure. So the cost here was worth the ease, the facility was clean and well staffed. Everyone was friendly and extremely patient with my dog, who has pretty severe anxiety. I was especially appreciative of the spacious waiting area with bench style seating, it made it easy to give my dog space from other animals. They also have dedicated parking. No complaints. Great place.

Dr. Galea and his staff are AMAZING. They have helped us keep our cats healthy, and treated them for all sorts of things ranging from ringworm to bladder crystals. If it weren’t for them we may not have saved our male cat in time before his bladder exploded, and we are very grateful. They are all very knowledgeable and whenever I have questions there is always someone to help and answer my questions. My cats have always hated every vet we’ve taken them to, and this is the first one that they remain calm while they are being handled, and that was enough for me to keep coming back.

I scheduled an appointment for both dogs. No wait at all. Fairly priced for visits and even a small discount since I brought in both dogs at once. Very happy with Dr. Galea. Glad we made the switch from our previous vet. He seems to be very knowledgable and gave me plenty of great tips in the short amount of time that I was there. You can tell he is someone who is beloved in his community.

Dr. Galea and his staff have taken care of my cats for nearly 20 years. They are all highly dedicated, kind, loving people. The facilities are spotless and friendly. I cannot recommend Dr Galea enough. He tells you all your options and never pressures you into unnecessary medical procedures, like some vets. He saw me through the end-of-life decision for both of my 20 year old cats, when the time came, with grace and compassion. And now he is the doctor for my new kittens.

Do not bring your pet here unless you want to be charged more if your pet has behavioral issues. My puppy had an accident in the lobby and receptionists rolled their eyes, and started to whisper about me. They charged me $75 to change an ace bandage when normally they charge $25! They later report it depends how much bandage was used. It was enough to wrap a 3 month year old puppies foot it was no different then the past three times he had it changed there. They said within ear shot of me we are going to uncharge her! How unprofessional can they be. If you dont like working with pets and dont understand puppies have accidents then dont work here. I attempted to call to remedy and get clarification on what happened or if I was upcharged due to his accident and no resolution the techs and front of the house appear to be in it for the money. The one star comes from the only redieming factor which was the vet but not worth the cost they charge here.

I used to like this animal hospital until I witnessed their rude, selfish attitude toward their clients and their situations. I believed every one is reading this is looking for a legitimate and professional vet for their fur kids and Im one as well. Ive been looking for a profession vet that I can trust to give our fur kids to. The doctor here is kind and know what theyre doing. However, My problem was that they changed the final price without informing me. The original estimate was lower. I brought my cat here a month ago to get a pre-check and price estimate for neutering. However, the final price is slightly changed and is different than the price estimate they gave it to me a month ago. I understand its not a big difference, but this shows that they can alter their price however they want and the costumers wont really be aware since its not a big difference. If they told me that there is extra medical tools,injection...etc so the price will vary from that, I might be more acceptable but, after neutering. I didnt get any surgery record from the procedure that there was anything needed so the final price changed. There is no any surgery notes/summery/information/report as well. Which Im kinda surprised this high ranking hospital doest bother to do it while other places do provide the surgery notes. I understand if its a low-cost organization for neuter/spay, they dont usually monitor and provide medical record afterwards. So where is the extra cost from neuter afterward? Is the spay/neuter price not firm so they can change the price? I was very disappointed by this. Moreover, one of their receptionists was so rude and cold the whole time when she talked to me. She was kind at the first time I brought my cat there. However, her attitude totally changed to a horrible person this time. the whole time she talked to me when I asked her questions just pure frustration and annoyance. The final weak point that made me not want to come back to this place was they dont accept to enter a credit card number from my moms card. Which MOST of the animal hospitals accept. The receptionist gave me a horrible attitude the whole time Im trying to talk to her. She said you can talk to our owner if you want as if she doesnt want to deal with me. Then, I talked the owner and It was an uncomfortable and helpless conversation just like the reception lady. He had an fake-smile on him as if he cares and telling my they dont accept credit card number without the card or the person here. and he was asking other costumers who are there to get their agreement to make his own policy sounds stronger in front of me. So the theory is even if I stole someones money or card and gave it to them, theyll accept it because theyre actual objects. But the credits numbers dont work because theyre afraid I stole someones card? The owner finished our conversation by careless apologizing and told me I can go to bank and borrow money if Id like to. So I was standing there, and couldnt take my cat home even I have money? At the mean time, the receptionist was telling me that they closed at 5 and told me to figure out a way before that with a cold and careless attitude. After these, I will never go back to this animal hospital. I have to be objective that the doctors there Ive encountered were kind and professional and most the receptionists are kind. However, the way they can alter their price by not notifying costumers is not moral. The reception lady and the owners attitude totally ruined my day and my trust to this animal hospital. This two people could care less about your pets but all they want is money.

We have taken our dog (Folsom) to SAH and Dr. Galea for the past 11 years and have always been completely satisfied with the service weve received. In 2007, Folsom was hit by a truck and Dr. Galea essentially rebuilt him and 8 years later he is still healthy and happy. Well never take our dog anywhere else.
