He will cater your experience to your liking and make sure you have fun in the sea and on land. You could not ask for a better guide. But ill warn you now...if you dont want to laugh and joke the whole time, this is the wrong tour. Because he is one amazing character. He is, and will always be, my go to when planning a trip to PR. Take my word and go with Culebra snorkel with locals. Lemuel is the BEST!! Courteous, helpful and a very nice guy. Last minute plan to PR and Culebra island. Had no prior reservation for snorkeling. After contacting multiple snorkeling tours and not finding any availability, Lemuel was the only one who responded even though it was on short notice of 2 hours. He even arranged the snorkeling gear for us. The snorkeling tour was not only fun but Lemuel also made it very informative by naming each fish and giving us little trivia about everything. He is very passionate about what he does and cares for the ocean and the environment. Will definitely be coming back.

We were in Culebra for the week and wanted to get some snorkeling in. Many places offer a boat ride and snorkeling. However, snorkel with locals was a much better experience. It’s more intimate and you get one on one attention learning about all the different sea life. My kids and I had an amazing experience!

This was the best snorkeling tour that we took in Puerto Rico. We LOVED that this was more of a one-on-one personal guided tour instead of a larger group and that he allowed us to see things up close. Upon request, he took us to a different location in order to see sea turtles. We saw a LOT of turtles eating from the bottom of the sea, octopus, starfish, squid, sea urchins, sting ray, and more. We liked that we got to spend one hour in the water as opposed to another snorkeling tour we took where we were only snorkeling for 30 minutes at the most! He even picked us up when we ended up at the wrong location. We would definitely choose this tour again when visiting in the future.

It was amazing! We were able to see different types of corals, fishes, trumpet fish, sting rays, puffer fish, starfish, crabs. Lemuel also took us to hold a white sea urchin and starfish. Lemuel’s personality was lively and he was very professional to make sure everything was right to ensure we have a great time! Looking forward to coming to Culebra again and taking a tour with him!

We were traveling across Puerto Rico for two weeks and chose Culebra as our last 3-days stay before going back. A friend of hours recommended Lemuel to us, and we signed up his tour. Since we had more time, Lemuel suggested us to take a double tour: swimming with turtles, and coral reef snorkeling. We agreed since it was a private individual tour at the same price as a regular packed group tour (which I personally dont like).Lemuel showed a great attitude, passion and professionalism at the same time. I work in an entertainment industry myself and know how important is this to keep passion and share it with the clients. Lemuel is def a great person, great professional, and dedicated so his passion.So, the tour was something I would never think about. We saw not just turtles, but manta rays, big and small fishes, sea stars, seashell crabs, jellyfish. The coral reef experience was something magical, I barely spoke as I was so deep (no pun intended, I was floating on the surface) in the process. Lemuel would show us around, explain how animals live and react, give us insights and attracted our attention to small thing we would never see on ourselves.I recorded our adventures on a waterproof smartphone case at it looks great, much better than I expected (Im a professional photographer myself).My advice is not booking both sessions back to back and to have a small breakfast break in between to get some warmth and process what you just saw.

I had the opportunity to book with Lemuel and Culebra Snorkel with Locals and Im glad I did. In addition to the amazing views, abundant marine life and education on what we were seeing Lemuel did an extraordinary job with my family. He took his time to go over safety and rechecking all of our equipment for proper fitment.Throughout the tour he often dives and points out different species of coral, starfish or marine life.I can certainly say that this tour was the highlight of my visit to Culebra. Lemuel is Da Man! He knows a lot about the sea creatures and explains their habits, etc. He knows how to get you to the marine life and find things you’d never see on your own. He was great with our kids as well. And he gave us great recommendations of beaches, restaurants to visit, His knowledge and respect for the sea turtles was inspiring. The only way to go in San Juan!

Lemuel is a pro in the water. He knew the best spots under water and brought us close to the real beauty of the nature. A snorkel tour with him at Melones Beach, Culebra was the highlight of our trip.

He knows the island, checks out each beach beforehand to make sure you will get the best experience possible. Each time I go I see something new! Lemuel took my husband and I on an incredible snorkeling tour on melones beach. When I was first looking into tours, some of them take you on a boat to different sites. However, Melones Beach has by far the best snorkeling on Culebra and it’s protected land so boats can’t even anchor there. We ended up snorkeling for 1.5 hours (total of 2 hours with first 30 minutes talking about what we would do and getting fitted with gear).Lemuel has lived on culebra for over 30 years and seems to know every inch of the island, including underwater. Although our airbnb came with great snorkeling gear and we snorkeled on our own on flamenco beach, we could have never gotten this experience without Lemuel.He knew the best route to take amongst the reef, how far down the beach to go, the types of every coral, which we shouldn’t touch, knew the locations and type of fish to look for, even picked up a (very dangerous) sea urchin expertly for us to see up close. After seeing more sea life (anemones, urchins, all kinds of beautiful fish, squid, etc) than we could’ve imagined, he took us further to show us how hurricane Maria damaged the reef and the conservation efforts they were making to restore it - something he is clearly very passionate about.Could not recommend it more!!!!!!

We had Lemuel as our guide for snorkeling in Culebra for our family of 4 (including 2 kids). Our family is not that adventurous and my husband, specifically, is very concerned with safety.Lemuel is very proactive. He called me the night before to go through everything since we had to take a ferry there.Then when we met, he explained everything in detail and that really assured my husband. Lemuel is a dive master + CPR and coast guard certified,My boys were so excited during this trip. Lemuel is delightful, passionate and enthusiatic about the sealife of Culebra. His was an excellent lesson about the reserve, its coral reefs and sealife. Seriously, not only interesting and informative but also extreemely educational. His is an an incredible tour including if you have school age children. He went above and behond the call of duty stricking a great balance between safety (especially during Covid times) and fun. He also gave us wonderful tips of where the best local eating places were. He does know the best snorkeling locations and will take you there. We toured the reef at Melones beach which is quite something. We were so impressed with Lemuel that we immediately booked a second Snorkel with the Locals tour for the next day to see the turtles at Tamarindo beach. Again I highly recommend Snorkeling With the Locals. No regrets whatsoever and it was just wonderful!

My two daughters and I snorkeled this past weekend with Lemuel! It was truly a god send and an AMAZING experience! My daughters are 11-12 and had never snorkeled before. He was great with getting them comfortable in the water!!! He is very knowledgeable and was entertaining explaining everything they got to see!!! He took us to a great spot we saw octopus, squid, puffer fish, sea urchins, Starfish and so much more! This was one of their favorite experiences of our whole trip! It was an incredible experience! We had absolutely no swimming experience and with couple simple safety instructions we cant believe we were in water snorkeling for almost two hours. Lemuel was great, has great knowledge of marine life and knows how to spot them. We were able to see two sting rays that swam right next to us and the coral reef was amazing. He was guiding us through all the best spots and constantly checking if everyone are doing good and needed any help. Thank you for such an amazing experience!!

We had a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Our guide brought out the most positive and relaxing energy which was exactly what we needed . We were all new to snorkeling and all a bit scared to tackle the water. Lemuel, our guide, was excellent. He had patience with our group of 14, took his time to ensure the gear was working properly, was very conscious of safety and ensured everyone felt comfortable. He explain what we would see and the area that we would explore and was an expert on where to find turtles, stingrays, starfish and other fish. Excellent experience.

Had a blast with Lemuel over at csi snorkeling. He supplies all the equipment. Sanitizes everything and helps you put on the equipment as well. We were able to see 3 sea turtles and 2 sting rays. Def worth every penny.... will post a link to the video I took soon.

This is a experience that everyone should try! Instead of spending triple the amount of money you would get booking with trip advisor, Lemuel and his friends made snorkeling easy and educational to their home of Culebra! The island is beautiful and the people are amazing and friendly. The only thing that ruined the experience are other travelers who could not grasp the essence of the beautiful island. We are ready to come back to Puerto Rico already just to bring our kids and family to stay in Culebra! I felt I am gonna fall in love snorkeling! I even can’t swim, it is very friendly to first time learner. The gear is new and works well!

We finished our first snorkel experience and in Melonese beach in Culebra with Lemuel. It was amazing!!Lemuel picked us up from our hotel and enroute the beach, explained lot of history and showed us various buildings as well! He knows the area very well. We took the 6:30am from Ceiba to Culebra and found Lemuel as we were heading to get coffee. We didn’t book any tours in advance, so we decided to go with Lemuel to his 8:30am snorkeling tour.The tour was about an hour and he took us to see some corals, turtles and stingray. Afterwards, he dropped us off at Flamenco Beach.Lemuel is a friendly, down to earth guy, I’d highly recommend taking his tour!
