Very professional and great service. I had a complete overhaul of my heating converting from oil to gas and a new air conditioning install as well. Everything was top quality work. They showed up on time and completed the entire project install in one day. Everything looks and works perfectly, and they left my basement cleaner than it was before they got there.I had 3 other companies give an estimate. Affordable Heating and Air showed up on time for the estimate and they explained everything and told me why they would change and fix some of the duct work. THEY ALSO WERE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT WOULD REMOVE MY EXISTING OIL TANK. The other 3 companies wanted more money, didnt want to address some of the duct work and would not remove the existing oil tank. Bottom Line Affordable heating and cooling did everything for less money and their work was quality. This is by far the best heating and air company in the Milwaukee area. So save yourself some money and headaches and have them take care of your heating and air-conditioning.

Great experience. Before switching to Affordable Heating & Air Conditioning we used a different company from Oak Creek who advertises True 24 hour service. We eventually found out that this company was a high pressure sales company when you have no heat. It was like they felt they had you at their mercy. They would greatly inflate their repair prices to instead push you into a new furnace. When I told my neighbor about what happened they recommended Affordable Heating in Cudahy. The service technician was polite, knowledgeable and let us make our own decision to repair or replace. The repair estimate was 1/3 of the other company and the replacement was $1450.00 less. We did choose to replace since the new equipment carried a 10 year warranty vs a 1 year warranty on repairs. We couldnt be happier with our new equipment and Affordable Heating.

During the recent heatwave, our A/C started freezing up. We had someone else come out and take a look. It was determined that there was a leak in the system, and that it would have to be sealed and then Freon put in. We discussed that replacement might make more sense. They did not try to sell me any other services I didn’t ask for. On the day of, they showed up on time and got straight to work and I had central air conditioning in one day, including electrical! My furnace failed on a very chilly night. I called at 7:30am and by 10 Mike R. had us up and running. My furnace is very old but it was repaired with no pressure to replace the unit. That being said, it will be replaced soon and Affordable will be our first choice to install a new system.

I called this company because they had installed my furnace for the previous owners. The furnace had not been putting out heat for almost a week, although it was running. They were prompt in sending out a technician, but the technician did not do much to my system other than wave a phone app around. He decided right away that it was a malfunctioning heat exchanger and that I would need the entire system replaced, something I told him I could not afford. He just told me we take credit cards, but no, Im not looking to take on a $4.5k credit card bill. He then proceeded to throw a bunch of scare stories at me about how itss just getting colder (no, it does not appear that it will; last Sunday seems like it may have been the coldest day of the season and we lived through that one without a working furnace) and how our pipes would burst (I ran water through them and they didnt). I said I had a home warranty and would contact them first, and he tried to dissuade me, saying theyd never fix my furnace. Oh, and he also charged me $93.90 for his non-repair plus hard sell plus scare stories.Well. I called my home warranty company, which I hadnt been too pleased with previously, but they got me an appointment via Sears in 2 days. That technician came out and actually opened the furnace and spent some time working on it, but the situation still was not fixed by the time he left. After a few hours had gone by, we still had no heat, so I called Sears again and the same technician returned and found a small piece of pipe inside the unit that was clogged up. He rinsed and re-fitted it, and the furnace was up and running again. He also said the system was fine -- its 14 years old, but he said these units usually last 17+ years even in this area. Cost: $150 deductible (plus whatever the home warraby cost the home sellers).Lessons learned: 1) Ill get another home warranty when my current one expires, since technicians working under warranty will try to repair a unit instead of rushing to replace it. 2) When the time comes to replace my furnace, I wont be using Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning. I want to find a business where they will make a real diagnosis and even attempt repair before rushing to make a sale. Any time Im pressured with hard sell tactics, I decide NOT to patronize a business. Plus, charging almost $100 to spend a few minutes waving a phone app around isntt the kind of thing that makes me want to use their services again. I can get sales pitches for free any day, but when Im paying for a technicians visit, Id like him to make a good faith effort to repair the problem.As to the companys response - the technician didnt look at, much less smell, the outside pipes. Whether or not I thought I smelled anything is no basis upon which to make a professional diagnosis. And the system he tried to sell me was $4600 AFTER rebates/buyback, so calling me a liar is unjustified. And yes, the tactics did come off as hard sell/high pressure. I noticed many of its reviews are from people having new systems installed, which is fine and dandy, but the problem I have is when a business is all about the sales (money maker) and not at all about the less profitable repairs. The technician told me he could apply some kind of short-term fix that would enable my house to have heat, but as soon as I said I wasnt going to have a new system installed right away, he seemingly lost all interest in applying this temporary fix. So yes, I paid for nothing more than a sales pitch. My house is now warm and well see whether it fails again next winter or not. When and if that will happen, I will have a home warranty so theyll have a vested interest in repairing if possible, and replacement will be covered if not.To anyone considering using this business - I have no stake in whether they prosper or not, Im just sharing my own negative experience. The fact that they immediately went on the defensive and accused me of lying reveals something about their customer service when it goes past making that initial sale, so beware.

What a great team!Our home came with 2 old furnaces and air conditioners that had been incorrectly vented so we needed to run the fan nonstop for them to work. Todd called us the same day as we learned that they were beyond repair and came out the following day to look at our situation. He counseled us that with the new high efficiency equipment, we could cut down to one of each! In a week he had a crew installing our new furnace and AC and correcting the venting issue! These folks were like energizer bunnies! They were friendly and courteous (answered all our questions) but skillfully confident and focused on their task. After they were finished, they showed us their work, explained the duct system, the new appliances and how to maintain them. They swept up after themselves and were on there cheerful way.

Quick responses to questions via email. best price of the 6 estimates i got plus a 2yr labor warranty instead of the standard 1 . they also upgraded my furnace filter from a 1 inch to 4 inch with no problem whereas other companies made a big deal about it and would have been an extra cost.

We just had a new furnace installed by Affordable and we couldnt be happier with the result! We are renovating a foreclosed 1890 house on the southside and along with a furnace we needed to get new ductwork to the second floor. The estimator came out (twice!) and was super helpful in devising a plan for the second floor and was accommodating of our overall renovation plan. The guys on the install crew were super professional and very knowledgeable, they had the duct work and the furnace finished in one day. Ive renovated several homes before and Ive dealt with HVAC contractors in the past and the folks at Affordable are the most skilled, efficient and straight forward l have met. Requested service due to furnace not working. Someone came out and told us the issue was electrical and we needed an electrician. We contacted an electrician. He was able to determine the issue wasn’t something he could fix and he called a his friend who does heating and cooling. The friend was able to figure out what the issue was over the phone. I called to complain that the technician was wrong and that someone was able to figure out the issue without even being in the room. The person from the company made excuses. Disappointed we wasted our time and money.

The Owner Todd came out almost immediately to look at the spaces, and sent a very competitive estimate within a few days. They also included we-energies rebates and manufacturer discounts in the offer. The work was done quickly and with attention to detail. The attic layout wasnt ideal, but it had more to do with the existing and available space. The 1st floor layout was perfect, and the project manager was able to pick out the perfect color vents without any direction or input. Had my gas boiler cleaned few days ago and gentleman did a very good job in cleaning it. First he made sure boiler is working then checked CO for safety by drilling a hole in the exhaust pipe connecting to the chimney for accurate reading. Carbon monoxide reading was high, its a good thing its not leaking into the house. He sweep all inside the boiler and even wash the burners. Very good clean job. He asked if I want thermocouple changed but it was an additional $80 plus tax, so I declined at this time, esp it is still working and winter is over and I wasnt prepared for it. After cleaning he checked CO again inside exhaust pipe and reading was good, caulked the hole in pipe that he drilled and closed up the boiler. Price for the cleaning was reasonable, I just have to save up for thermocouple replacement next time. Thank you for a job well done.

The gentleman from Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning came outto check our air conditioner after we had purchased our home. The previous owner had a garden surrounding it with landscape cloth and mulch. I knew there were problems with a vine weed in the garden, it justpopped up everywhere. Needless to say I took it all out and started over.What he pulled out of our air conditioner was pretty astounding. It was avery large dried up ball of this vine. Called because i was having furnace issues and knew i needed a new furnace. They acknowledge i needed a new heater and gave a fair price and opened up their schedule to install quickly, since we were nervous about being without heat potentially. They waived the original service charge when we scheduled a new furnace installation. The guys that came were awesome and deserve a raise. Tony came right away the next day after calling late at night to tell them my furnace wasntworking. He tested a few things and figured out quickly what the problem was. Called for a furnace issue. Guy said they would be there within 1 hour. After evaluating and getting quotes from 4 Bryant Factory authorized dealers for a replacement furnace, I decided on Affordable Heating and AC. Great customer reviews, excellent Angies list ratings, and very good competitive pricing. Todd was my sales person and he explained all my furnace and warranty options without swaying me toward a particular model or service plan. After I became educated about the choices, I was able to make an informed decision about which furnace was good for me. The installers were professional and did a great job retrofitting the new furnace including flipping the furnace around from the original furnace configuration to meet the building code. My last furnace was not installed to code apparently. My experience with Affordable Heating was great, and I dont see why your encounter with them would be any different.

Todd came out and gave me an estimate for a new furnace, AC and Connex controller that was $1800 and $2100 cheaper than two other southeast Wisconsin Bryant authorized dealers. Did my home work and checked them out with BBB, numerous positive reviews and through awards from Bryant on their website. Matt and Joe were my installers. Not only did they do a great job, they were fun to talk to. They explained my new system thoroughly and helped me set up the Connex controller. Even the electrician they contracted with for the electrical work did a fantastic job. Every employee that I talked to said how much they loved working for their employer which shows in their positive attitude and outstanding work. On top of this, Affordable heating and Air Conditioning gave me a three year labor warranty which nobody else offered. BTW, the other two dealers told me that Affordable would not honor the estimate they gave me or they would do a bait and switch. They were wrong on both counts. Everything that Todd promised happened on schedule. Give these guys a call before you buy from anyone else.

Purchased a new energy efficient furnace and central air unit in 2014 and Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning continues to provide service maintainence as needed. I have a rental unit with two furnaces and within a month I had issues with both. The first time the tech refused to leave until the upper furnace was working properly (it was working as he expected after replacing circuit board). He wanted to clear out the exhaust pipe but I demanded I would do it. A week later the lower unit was having issues and me and Affordable knew something had to be wrong outside the units. After testing etc...they pointed the finger at the gas line. Prior to them even coming out I was thinking it was something with the gas line but WE energies refused to come out unless I smelled gas or had professionals prove it was them. Affordable did that for me and I couldnt thank them enough.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the staff at Affordable. They diagnosed my issues quickly and were able to work around my schedule for the installation.We had just had our basement remodeled and were concerned about damage to the walls or the new flooring - you couldnt even tell they had been there.We will use this company again in the future if we have any heating or air conditioning issue.

Our 32 year old air conditioner got tired on the hottest days of July. Service call was answered on same day, and technician got air conditioner working. A minor miracle due to obsolete parts. Made arrangements for new air/furnace combination. New install was efficient and we are now ready for any weather.

Affordable installed my Bryant heat & air system 7 years ago.I love our system and the service from Affordable is amazing.Yesterday Richard came for the annual tuneup and cleaning on my system. When he went into the back yard to service the AC unit he noticed the gate had come off the hinge and was hanging sideways. Knowing that we have a blind Golden Retriever, Richard fixed the gate so he would not get out. What a great guy! As a disabled veteran I appreciate knowing that Affordable will take care of things for me. No worries! I highly reccomend Affordable Heating & Air.

The installers came right on time and completed the job in a quick, courteous and professional manner. My husband and I were very pleased with our replacement furnace and would highly recommend Affordable Heating to others. In fact, our neighbors took our advice and ordered their furnace from them. Affordable had been serving our two furnaces for over 16 years (we own a duplex.)The installers were very polite, efficient and knowledgeable. One of them walked me through using the new programmable thermostat, which is always a challenge for me.
