I brought a jacket in for zipper repair. The person in the shop made it painfully clear that he did not feel the jacket was worth the $40 we were going to spend having the zipper replaced.This jacket belonged to my dad, whom I was extremely close to. He passed away a few years ago, and every time I put this jacket on, I feel like hes with me. To me, it was ABSOLUTELY worth $40.This encounter was nothing short of abrasive, but I am happy to have this little piece of my dad back with me.

My coworkers told me about Dads shop when I needed someone to sew rank on my military uniform in a hurry. I literally got my cap and top done within an hr. I had a weird situation, but they were willing to help me out. This business is located near the airbase, and they are really familiar with military regs so youll get your uniform back even better than you dropped it off. I am going back to get my dress uniform alterated and other uniforms updated. Prices are way within reason.

We have been going to Dad’s Shop for tailoring needs for the past year or so and have been pleased with the services. The lead time is fair and the resulting product has been good. The owner is honest and straightforward while fitting garments, and you can tell he has a lot of expertise. We always receive a helpful explanation of how things should fit; I have had next to no experience with men’s suits, so I have found our visits to be especially helpful. I don’t know a lot about tailoring prices, however for the results the costs here seem to be fair. I would recommend this business to friends who were looking for tailoring services.

Ive never reviewed any business or restaurant before, though I thought sharing my odd experience might be helpful. I called as a courtesy about whether he could perform an alteration (shorten sleeves and take in the waist) on a coat. He told me to come in any time. When I came in and explained I had called earlier, he took a look at the coat and stated, Do you know how much this is going to cost?? I responded I did not but that I would be interested in how much. He examined it again. Exasperated, he told me at least twice, I dont even want to do this!. I asked if he could recommend any tailor in the area. He said bluntly that he could not recommend anyone to alter my jacket.I have to say to Dads, if I wanted to get a lecture, Id have stayed home and called my own dad. Now, Im going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you probably do good work, but next time, have a little tact and respect for your patrons. What an awkward encounter.

Ive taken a few coats there that had some tears, great work! Rather spend the $10-20 it cost for the repairs vs buying a new $100 coat. I have another that I need to bring in, the leather is tearing, but will probably wait till winter is finished to do that.

Went in to have a suit tailored. Everything fit fine and looked good. A few weeks later, I noticed the seat of the pants didnt look quite as good as it could. I brought it back and they fixed it right up. They do a good job and stand by their work!

Ive taken a half dozen pants here to be hemmed over the past few years. The work is excellent. I get quick service. There is a small changing room where I put on the pants. Then the owner marks them and I change and leave, all within a few minutes. The pants are finished within a week. I always see him working in a room behind the counter when I arrive, so he has plenty of business. He was working on a military dress uniform when I took in my latest pair yesterday.

I needed a set of pants let out a bit for my wedding. He was able to get it done very quickly and for a low price.

Hes an honest man and a straight shooter. If something isnt worth altering, hell let you know. This shop will always be my goto

I would typically not leave a negative review after one trip to a local small business - I like to give the benefit of the doubt and also support local. BUT this guy was extremely rude from the start and made the most minimal effort to fix my issue. I ended up going to a different tailor DIRECTLY from Dads Shop to fix what he did. When I showed the new tailor his fix, she was horrified by his lazy solution.

Brought in my sons tae kwon do uniform to have patches removed from an old uniform and onto a new one. Was very accommodating with time (I kind of brought the uniform in last minute) and the price was extremely reasonable. Would definitely recommend this shop to friends and family.
