We had the season earwigs in our crawl space and ORKIN came out the day after we found them and treated the inside of our crawl space and outside of the house super quick. The employee was extremely professional, informative and knew exactly what to do.

I have noticed a difference in the activity. Ants are showing less and dead already. Robert Stanger who serves the palatine area does a great job hitting all the spots in different areas at home.

We’ve been using Orkin for about 20 years. The service techs are always friendly and professional. Despite the fact that we live in an area that has lots of pests, Orkin has managed to keep them under control in our home. The yearly maintenance contract is a fair price, especially considering they will come back in between regular visits for free if you ever have an additional, or particularly stubborn problem. Preventative measures are key to keeping your home comfortably free of critters.

I called for a persistent ant problem and was able to get a tech out same day! Pricing was affordable and easily explained so I didnt have any hidden or unexpected fees, which is always appreciated nowadays. The tech was running late, but he called an hour beforehand to notify me and keep me in the loop with timing, I loved that. Definitely recommend!

This was only the first visit and they literally just left, but the exterminator seemed very professional. He asked a lot of questions and answered mine as well. He provided good communication about what to expect today and all future visits. So far I am very pleased.

Had my Quarterly Pest Control with a new tech named Robert Stanger who is taking over our account from Steve who was here for like 8 years and we loved Steve. Robert was very good and friendly and for the first time here I walked around with him and showed him how Steve treated our place and all the trouble areas and he did a great job and said he takes some notes so next quarterly he will remember everything and was thorough just like Steve was (maybe Steve mentored Robert, not sure). Nick K. was my inspector today. He came on time and was very thorough with his inspection. He went through everything, if there was anything to be found Nick would have found it. He also gave me advice on what to look for in the future and and different traps I can try setting myself. I wouldnt hesitate to call again for anything that comes up in the future.

Orkin has been great since we switched to them. My only complaint is, not once have they called me to let me know when theyre coming to do their work. I work from home (due to the pandemic), so Im already there, however, that may not always be the case. Id appreciate a heads up in the future.

My wife called Orkin to schedule a visit for wasps. The day of the service, they didn’t show up, and didn’t call us to provide an update, postponement, or apology. I called the next day and spoke to someone to reschedule for later the same day. I received email confirmation of the appointment, but once again they blew us off. I never heard back from them, and will never recommend Orkin to anyone I know.

Highly recommend! We could not get rid of sugar ants for months and I finally called Orkin in CL.They came out the next day and did a very good job. It has been about 4 months since and I haven’t seen a single ant. Every morning we look for one and to our amazement we can’t find even one. My advice is don’t waste your time on products from Home Depot and call these guys.

Their automated system is trash. 5 emails in 15 minutes. And multiple days prior. First email is general time window of 9a-5p arrival. Ok cool. I’ll sit around all day. Next email a day before is 7a-8a arrival. Day of email says they’re on the way. Next email 1 minute later says appointment was changed to later In day. I call to find out what is going on? And am told it shows for 10-12 arrival now. I can’t do that time so I reschedule for tomorrow. Just off the phone yet and I get an email saying the tech is here. Tech is actually outside my house. Appt is at 10, why are they here now? Tech doesn’t get out of the car and leaves. Get another email saying they can’t complete my service. Can’t flag him down quick enough. I call back to have them send the tech back. Get some excuse they can’t reach him. Clearly you CAN if he got the updated appt. how about you fix the broken system you have and actually keep true to your schedule. Very annoying to be given a run around with your automated emails. Not professional.And now I just got a service report they treated my yard??? No you didn’t. Lies. I have cameras. And the comment section is fabricated. I specifically said I needed them inside. Fix this and stop trying to rip off the customer. I will go to the BBB.

Started my contract with Orkin almost a year ago. I still see carpenter ants outside, found a termite swarmer inside and there was no follow up from anyone about whether we should be concerned about termites, I have clover mites and springtails everywhere so what exactly am I paying almost $100 every two months for???? Now we have a moth problem and after requesting a supervisor, they still sent over the same technician who told me he could not solve my issues!!!!!! Manager was supposed to call me today and never did!!! I understand I live next to the woods but jeez, what exactly are they spraying and why isnt it working?! Research the other pest control companies in Lake or McHenry county and avoid Orkin!

The tech I have had for about 4 years is absolutely one of the most professional people I have ever been lucky enough to find. He treated this house when it belonged to my aunt, knows EVERY nook & cranny, and manages to get to places even I won’t go into. Steve also helped me dig out my car today!!! Where do you find employees like that ORKIN? Could have used one of him in my restaurants, and fire the rest of the staff.

Tech was very nice and knowledgeable. He was right on time, and was really professional. He made all the details of my contract clear and concise.

We scheduled an initial appointment in august of 2019 for mice. Orkin initially came 3 times to check out the issue, and gave us 3 wildly different estimates. We ended up paying around $2500 to have the issue resolved. We were told they can’t fully resolve it unless we cough up another couple thousand dollars for an “orkin shield”. After paying 2500 the issue continued on. Orkin scheduled a follow up visit every other month, and charges 50 dollars every time whether or not they even do anything. For the past 2 years I have spent an extra 600 dollars on about 5 sticky traps dropped off on our front porch. Only just found out that Orkin will charge you 50 dollars FOREVER unless you call them and sit on hold to cancel services. Orkin is a scam, and will bleed you dry. I wish I could vote lower than 1 star

I have called 3 times to schedule an appointment because I saw a lot of ants in my kitchen area. The first representative said, I have to wait for a call. No one call. I called for the second time, the representative said I have to wait 5-10 days to get a schedule. I called for the third time, the representative said because that day was Saturday. someone will call on Monday or Tuesday. It is Wednesday and no one call. I called again, it was a long line and I never got through. I texted them and received a reply saying that it was an after hour, and they will get back as soon as they can.I am very very disappointed with their service and will not continue to work with them! Please think before you use their service. At first, Orkin people said that they will help anytime during the one year contract; but once they have me enrolled, they forgot about their commitments. So please think many times before you use their service!
