Good price, value, communication and vehicle. Rented a Ford Explorer for a trip to the Rockies in Colorado. 3000 miles and the vehicle was terrific, price was under what all other Rental Cars Cos. wanted for similar vehicles. Fully equipped, leather and comfort for 6 and a 55lb dog. Couldnt have been more satosfied with our choice of rental car cars or rental car companies.

Received the worst customer service ever from Jay Kailin !! Never in my life would rent another car from this location, they lost my business. If he is getting paid to provide a good customer service he is doing it very wrong!!!!

Worst customer service ever from Jay Kailin!! My daughter made a reservation 5 months prior and this person didn’t want it to rented the car for her claiming that she was under age (24) she knew she had to paid an additional fee for that! He also didn’t want to take her cc! So i had to drive all the way from elgin to crystal lake to rent the car for her, He was also super rude at me claiming he was the owner and that he could do whatever he wanted! He was yelling at me and also throwing my DL and CC at me. I asked for his name and he gave me a totally different name’ he said that there was no one above him so we asked him for the customer service number and he gave us his office number! He even answered the phone! Making fun of us and all of the sudden other people (different nationality of course)enter the office he changed his mood at them ! He is a totally r*cist person .

The guy at the Crystal Lake, IL office is always very easy going and great to do business with. Easy in, easy out process, great customer service. Clean, well kept new cars. I have never had a problem when renting from here.

This place was absolute trash because of jay kaiin because he disrespected my family members and almost ruined our vacations we had planned since months ago. My sister reserved a car since 5 months ago and when she got there he said that they didnt have it. He kept yelling throwing my moms card and he kept kicking them out after claiming he was the owner/manager

The manager there, Jay Kilian, is terrific! Had a special request and he was able to accommodate us. He treats the customers as people and not just a reservation number and is very professional. Also, have made special requests and the manager did an excellent job in accommodating the requests. I rented from other places in the past but in the past two years, I will only rent from here.

Easy process - always awesome experience - smooth and fast

Our previous experience was great. Nothing went wrong and all was well. This time, however, we werent quite as lucky. We had a tire warning light on the car we were given, but were assured that it was a glitch and that the car was fine. We got to our destination, parked the car for a few days and...it went flat. Was on the phone with roadside assistance, mostly on hold, for about half an hour while the lady located us another car. She gave us a location and told us a car had been reserved for us. The guy from roadside assistance came and quickly changed the tire. We went to the location given and were told that they didnt have a car for us and didnt know why we were sent there. All they had was a pickup truck and we were told we could make due with it or drive another 40 minutes away and exchange it. We made due rather than waste more of our time. We got back and, initially were mistakenly told that we had prepaid and that there was nothing that could be done at the rental location, that we would have to call an 800 number and waste more time getting this settled. When it was discovered we hadnt prepaid, we were then given a small discount. All in all, a 3 rating because thay were good the first time around but not great with taking care of things when something goes wrong.

AVIS Crystal Lake IL was a great place to rent a car. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got a great luxury car which was wonderful for me since I put over 5000 miles on it. Only negative was the car was not very clean when I picked it up. They were willing to rewash it but i didnt want to wait around. I will definitely rent from here again.

Ive rented cars for business and personal reasons for over 30 years. 49 states and most of Canada with more rental car counters than I could ever count. I can comfortably and emphatically say that this location in Crystal Lake has been my best experience anywhere. Period. Jay, the manager, is welcoming, professional, and 100% focused on customer satisfaction. The cars are always in good condition and sparkling clean. Ive rented at Avis for years. Customer service is excellent. Cars are extremely clean and Ive never had a problem with my vehicle or reservation. Two thumbs up!

When we arrived to pick up, we were told that our car was not there and they werent sure how long it would be. Hopefully around an hour, they said. When we asked how they were going to compensate us for the inconvenience, another car (a free upgrade they claimed) was magically available. Another couple was not so lucky, they had been sitting there for 45 minutes and were still there when we left.On our return drive, we hit construction and realized we would be late for our dropoff. We called several hours before missing the time to tell them of the issue. They appeared to be very accommodating and claimed they would mark it as returned before the due time so that we would not be charged an extra day. We returned after hours so couldnt verify this in person.When we saw the charge on the credit card, it was for more than the original contract. I called the store for an explanation. No one answered and I was forwarded to a national call center. The lady rudely told me that the car was not checked in until a day after it was due so I was charged an extra day. When I explained what the local rep had said, she said it didnt matter. I told her that after this experience I wouldnt be renting from Avis again. Her response: Thats fine!So save yourself the trouble and dont rent from Avis. They apparently dont mind!

Blonde haired female Avis employee wearing an AVIS shirt swore and spoke rudely when my wife parked her car in an open spot next to an AVIS designated spot. She called my wife a pregnant (female dog). Was told to move my car even though her spot was not designated like the others. Talked to supposed manager and was told that doesnt sound like something she would say. Its funny another google reviewer had the same experience. I will be talking to corporate tomorrow.
