I didnt expect to get my truck in the same day, but they squeezed me in which was unexpected because this place is busy. If you live in and around Crystal Lake and you dont bring your vehicle here for repair you are doing it wrong. Seriously. I have had Rons fix 4 different vehicles all for different issues and the price has been very reasonable not to mention the quality of service.I got callbacks when I was told I would, the repair was done on time EVERYTIME and there were never any surprises with added charges.Rons is truly a secret in CL. Honest, kind and knowledgeable. I took my car in yesterday because it was making an awful noise. Rick called me this morning and said there was a loose bolt on the exhaust. When I went to get my car he wouldn’t even let me pay him. He could’ve easily gotten $100 out of me, since I don’t know anything about cars. This is a great place to take your car!

I came in for a rim leak about 3 months ago and got a way cheaper price here vs the dealership for the two front tires. I told them what needed to be done with the rim leaks and they understood that. I ONLY came to this location due to all the positive review that was left for this local mechanic shop and turns out I been noticing my tire was still losing air after I had paid them to fix the rim leaks so when I took it in for a oil change at the dealership and brought it up to them..they told me the rim leaks were NOT fix since I was still losing air from both tires. I explain to the service adviser at Infiniti in Hoffman Estates where I got my rim leaks done at and he told me they didnt do it right since I am still losing air OR they probably didnt do it at all OR they probably did it a different way but that cant be because I explain what I expected them to do and they know what they do with rim leaks. And 3 months later I am still driving with my two front tires with rim leaks thinking all this time this place had fix it for me but not! I basically paid them NOT TO FIX MY TIRES! I really thought this place was trustworthy and the guy that I encounter at the desk was very knowledgeable about everything but you never know a place until you actually try them out. Never ever again. Sticking to the dealership. This was my fear of getting my car done at an independent shop.

Was told my car needed new shocks/ struts that cost $1500 because oil was leaking. I took my car somewhere else and it just needed a $200 alignment and the shocks/struts were perfectly fine. Tried to rip me off :))))

Received a voicemail from Rick at this company asking me to call him back. He left no information at all on his message besides his phone number. When I called him back I asked why he left me a voicemail, he immediately was confused and asked me who I was very rudely. Then proceeded to try to tell me that he never called me...MULTIPLE TIMES! (I literally had the voicemail in my phone..) Extremely ignorant and rude on the phone. I told him that I apologized for calling him back? (Why Im apologizing Im not sure?) He then hung up on me. Rick I hope you dont treat all your customer this terribly. I highly recommend not doing business with Rons service. Horrible customer service!!!

Now that my Chevy Malibu’s extended warranty has expired and i am not longer tied to GM for any basic maintenance or service i am glad i found this place! I can be sure that they will diagnose and price fairly any issue i have with my car where doing it at Chevy would have cost me an arm or a leg! I got immediately impressed with how professional this place is when they told me they could replace a lightbulb for only $50 on my malibu where other places wanted to remove the bumper and charge over $200 ! They are quick and efficient and now i will be no longer stressing out about any issue with my car because i know that i found a place that does not ripp off or overcharge. So glad i can support a local business over big corporation!

I want to support local businesses. So all I’m going to say is please get a second opinion before you agree with this place. A 3900 dollar transmission replacement turned out to be a 195 dollar service when I got a second opinion. Very disappointed I’ll never go back.

I decided to try this place for the 1st time,I had a oil change.When I got home I checked my oil,it was over filled.I took it back and they told me they corrected it.They never apologized for doing it wrong.When I got home I checked my oil level it was a quart low. Never coming back to this place.
