This place is horrible. You know exactly who am because I just left yesterday 9/26/2021. You botched my car knowing that I had to travel back to Ohio and I tried to reach out respectful with pictures today, 9/27/2021and I was disregarded. You have force my hand legally. I dont have time to argue with employees. You will learn how to treat people and you could have killed myself and family with your botched job.

Poor problem solver. I took a hertz car in for a oil change. After being there for more than hour. They found more issues that hertz had approve to be fixed. After three to four more hours passed ( no exaggeration) they were done with the car. I got in and notice that the radio and screen wasn’t working. So I questioned them about it. And they said drive it around for it to reset itself. Hours passed and I took it back. And they told me Ford has to reset it. So I scheduled an appointment with Ford. I took it to Ford and it’s a bill. So I called pep boys back and explained that there was a bill. They told me to call hertz. Blank blank you call hertz and tell them what y’all did. Theyre understaffed & over extended & it spills over showing up in the sometimes spotty work they put out & their less than professional attitudes when addressing paying customers who are there to give them business. They also dont seem to think anything of not following through with small yet important things that make a big difference to people, like placing simple calls to ask about work or update you once work is done. Its as simple as if you dont have the time or inclination to do something just dont tell the customer that you will. Each of the last 3 times they told me theyd call they did not. I get that they may be stressed out under their current working conditions but it doesnt give them the right to be rude or snappy with customers.

Brought my car here for an alignment and an oil change. They got me in and out within an hour if not less. Manager was helpful and friendly. Alignment is perfect. No complaints what so ever. Also very reasonable price for the alignment!

ABSOLUTE TRASH. I was told on the phone it would take 2 the two and a half hours. I live right down the street so I bring my tire at 9:45. I was told it would be ready in about 2 hours. 3 hours later I call to see how its going and nobody even touched it and Im told in 30 minutes itll be ready so I head over and sit there for an hour and my tire is sitting up front. I left there at 1:50. It took over 4 hours to fix my tire and made me late for work I wouldnt have such a terrible review if they would have been upfront and told me it would take that long.

Pepboys has absolutely AMAZING service! We were on a long car trip and our car broke down and a part broke. They got us in right on the edge of their closing time at 7pm and they were so exceptional because they even stayed late to fix and replace the part so that we could get back on the road that night. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! Absolutely exceptional and their workers were so kind, understanding, and accommodating to our situation!

I nearly had a blowout yesterday. I hit a bad pothole on the highway and my tire was bulging. No one could replace my tire on a Saturday, at least not for a decent price, and not many places are open Sunday. My dad calls and says he got me in here on Sunday and he even got a really good deal on the tires with a warranty. I went in and Manuel at the service desk was super nice and knowledgeable. He explained the warranty to me and was very patient with all my questions. I will warn you, I had an appointment and after several hours, my car was not done. They were very backed up. So be prepared to spend some time here. But great customer service and they did a very nice job. My tires are great and they kept my car clean! Glad I drove the hour from Indiana to get here.

Had my wifes clutch replaced here. Once we got the car back first the battery was dead. Then the car shudders when getting in first gear. Went back twice and they looked at me like i was crazy, said its normal, because its a performance car. What? Thats disgraceful, Im never taking any car back here and i recommend you stay away if you need trans work, although considering how dishonest they were i would just recommend to go somewhere else even for a tire fix. If its leaking air after they fix it they might tell you thats normal too

I had 2 batteries installs in the last few years. Now to only find out that I need another one. Pep boys have no record of any work done to my vehicle. And I lost my receipt from 2018. My vehicle is in system, but with no work done. It doesnt make sense to me. They dont care. I wont be doing anymore business with them. I recommend going to Midas

I STOPPED IN THE CRSTWOOD, IL PEP BOYS AFTER CONFIRMING MY APPOINTMENT WITH THE STORE THROUGH A PHONE CALL. I ENTER THIS STORE AND EXPLAINED WHAT IM TRYING TO GET DONE ON CAR WHEN I WAS TOLD THE PRICE WAS TWICE AS MUCH AS ONLINE( WHEEL ALINGMENT). SO I ASKED WHAT THE GENTLEMAN SAID HE WAS SEAN THE ASSISTANT MANAGER WHY IS THE PRICE ONLINE DIFERENT THEN WHAT YOU ARE TELLING ME, HE STARTED BABLING ABOUT BLACK FRIDAY SO I PULLED IT UP ON MY PHONE AND SHOWED HIM, AND HE SAID THAT HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHY AND HOW IM GETTING THOSE PRICES AND SEES MY APPOINTMENT IN HIS COMPUTER, BUT I HAD TO SET IT UP ONLINE WITH AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THAT PRICE. SO I TELL HIM HERE IS MY CONFERMATION NUMBER TO MY APPOINTMENT THAT I MADE YESTERDAY AND HE SAYS HES NOT SURE WHY AND I GOT A CONFIRMATION NUMBER WITH THAT PRICE. So my coolant starts leaking because I literally just now got in a fender bender.Im calling everywhere to see who can diagnose it and fix it. Everyones saying, Oh its 400 to diagnose it and such. And Im like, huh thats not right. And then I go here and the guy tells me straight out: 34.99$.They are straightforward and dont lie.They saved my week and my job.Oh and btw, it was Jamie who told me that.Hes a chill dude Im glad he helped me.

I would not recommend this place to anyone terrible customer service. and it was Jamie the manager who was giving the terrible customer service. I bought a battery from the Darien Illinois location and ithit free installation. I did not have my car with me at the time so I figured I could go to another location to get it installed especially since these businesses cant seem to keep anything in stock. TherThe manager Jamie refused to install the battery saying that hell have to charge me. why would you need to charge me when its free installation. I said okay well maybe Ill just buy another battery and return the new one he refused to do that saying I would have to wait for a check in the mail. Huh?!?! So guess what I did. I called Chicago Ridge and they said no problem. Smh. One thing for sure I will never return to Pep Boys Crestwood ever again. Maybe not another Pep Boys. Thats why is tick to Walmart and online! They had a sale on batteries with FREE installation. I had my receipt so it shouldnt have been an issue.

They told me they were ordering my calipers and when they got there they didnt fit. I sat there fo over 5 hours before I could get my car fixed. Brakes, rotors, and calipers. I am livid and will NEVER come back to this shop ever again nor would I ever refer anyone else to go there. I wouldve given them a 1/32 of a star if it was up there.

I just left pep boys for service for my car. I needed new tires and my service was extremely excellent!! The service tech was very knowledgeable and I was honestly in and out in less then an hour eventhough I was there at 8am but nevertheless it was very quick lol. So in my opinion if your looking for tires to be put on your vehicle for a good price and also quickly Id suggest go there.

I made an appointment for an oil change here. I got there checked in my car. After an hour I checked and they didn’t even start my car yet. I finally left because there was no sign of them even starting the car. I know for a fact the technicians were not busy because I could see technicians just taking their time and standing around. I even overheard one going on break while they were at their busy time. If you are busy then don’t let people make appointments. Or keep people updated and let them know that you are behind schedule. I hope that my experience was a fluke.

Use to be a good place. if you drive a performance car good luck. I can buy normal car parts anywhere. I liked pepboys for the stuff no one else carried, and there ability to help the garage guy. Guess I will start looking at the other places when I need normal vehicle stuff prices arent that much different and will start looking,( for what I call a mom and pop) garages to get any help they seem more willing to remember where they started. Super upset about this location. I took my car for an alignment. Two after I went to my mechanic for a check up, he mentions that the alignment didnt seemed right due to one of the control arms was damaged. I paid $90 for an alignment that was useless. None of the mechanics from Pepboys that did the job on it, mentioned that the control arm needed to be fixed FIRST!!!

The customer service has always been good, prices are touch n go but, repair work is hit or miss. It really depends on whos working on your car. They once swapped out wheel bearings on my Ford Contour and the tech forgot to put the outer retaining ring in, which caused my wheel to start walking out. As a former ASE mechanic, I was able to correct the mistake myself. I contacted the company and the service manager addressed the issue and gave me a deal on 4 tires w/ alignment on my Hyundai Tiburon. The alignment was factory perfect. So I cant recommend this location but, I would return for service if I had to.

This is the 2nd attempt to have my oil changed here. Both attempts I have had appointments, only to be told once I arrive it will be an hour wait before they will even bring it in. The first time I waited 1 1/2 hours before I gave up and left. Save yourself time and find somewhere else to do business with.

Ive been a patron of this location for over 3 years now, and have seen staff come and some go. There were bad apples as well as good apples. However, I can honestly say that the current staff is the best out of all locations. Im the most critical customer youll find, and if the customer service is not on point the moment I walk in the door, I turn around and leave. The current staff at this location treats me like Im a close relative, they are efficient, and they have provided me with the best service Ive gotten in my life. I trust my car with them, and this is the only location Im comfortable leaving my car over night with if I have to. I know when my car is there theyre going to treat it as if its their own. Even when I dont have an appointment they do their best to accommodate me. Jordan is the manager, hes absolutely the best, hes professional, and I travel from Chicago all the way to Crestwood and pass several locations just because I wouldnt trust my car with anyone else. I believe that the staff is a direct representation of the management, and when you have a staff where everyone is pleasant and making their jobs look easy, its because of good management. Jordan is an example of good management.

Yesterday, my car started smoking. I didnt know what to do so I took it to the closest mechanic. Pep Boys. One of the mechanics, Jordan, was able to give me a full valuation of the issue and explained the cost associated with fixing the car. I was flustered and distraught. The mechanic was kind and patient.Today, when I picked up my car, the same mechanic, Jordan, handed me my keys and explained the work that was done. He was even able to find me a couple discounts.When I started my car, it ran very smoothly. I was excited to have my car back. Above all, I was so happy with the customer service I received. Normally, a trip to the mechanic means a lot of stress and anxiety. I received such excellent customer service at this location that my mind was put at ease and got into my car today feeling like a heavy burden had been lifted from my shoulders.A big THANK YOU to the mechanic, Jordan, and the guys at Pep Boys!

Throughout my 7 hour experience waiting for my Lyft inspection, I was told three different things needed to be fixed. Not once did anyone tell me it would be that long. In fact, they just kept telling me oh one more hour, one more hour. It turns out they sold me tires that werent even in the store, so I was waiting on a delivery, but I only was told that in the last hour of my trip. I was a 5 minute Lyft ride from home. They wasted my entire day without a thought about my time. Then, I fill out a survey to tell them about my experience and I was contacted again by the regional manager telling me he will give me a $100 gift card to make up for the inconvenience. I agreed and said that would be fine. I was never mailed a gift card or contacted again. Now Im left with a $600 credit card debt and a terrible experience.

Its never good when you are really pressed for time, and a place like Pep Boys tells you they ordered the WRONG PART. I sat in their waiting area for an hour, then they told me that. That was not only time, but wasted gas going there, hearing they had wrong part, then coming there again a day later and finally leaving after they fixed it.

Truck wasnt starting... wasnt sure if battery or something else. When we took truck in we told them to look at not only battery but starter, alternator etc. They told us they replaced battery and when we asked if they checked everything else the guy said oh ya, everything was good. Well a week later my husband was stranded at work because truck didnt start. This time we took to Midas A PLACE WE DO TRUST. Only reason we went to Pep Boys was because they are open on the weekends. Well it ended up being the starter... so we wasted $200 at this place. Will never go there again and my gut was saying not to go there. Next time I will wait for Monday.

I went in to get a new battery and Jordan (service manager) suggested we take a couple of hours and test it BEFORE spending the money on a new one. As it turned out, I could have stayed with the old one for a short time but chose to replace it so I wouldnt end up getting stranded. I was helped at this location by Jordan, very knowledgeable and ready to help me with the issues with my vehicle. I was really confused on many aspects of what my wifes car needs repaired and how important these particular parts are. He really clarified for me what should be done and how to prioritize these repairs with their duty on her everyday commute. Overall he made me very pleased to service the vehicle with him, and definitely has me locked in as a future customer, regardless of cost I now feel trust when I am hearing the significance of the parts to be replaced. I highly recommend this location for Auto service whether you have a nail in your tire or crazy noises making you wonder how many miles until you have to call a tow truck. Ive been many places that dont have the confidence in what they are saying needs to be replaced. The guys here especially Jordan can be the ones you count on for all your Auto Care needs.

I initially walked in because my tire had a slow leak. So I asked the manager is it was possible to save the tire, and if not how much would a new tire be. His customer service was terrible. I explained what i needed slowly and clearly. He acted as if I was bothering him. Then he said “I don’t know what u need. either your going to get the tire or not. Or if u need air we can do that. It will be 4 hours” then he didn’t let me finish my sentence and cut me off and said it would be 4 hours. “. I did not have to many options on a Sunday so I stated fine but u are being very rude. So he walked away from the register to help a lady and switched his tone up to a nicer softer one for her. So another store associate accepted my keys but my experience was terrible and I will never go back. I don’t know what he felt I did to him or maybe it was because I was black. But I felt so discriminated against. Never Again!

Stopped in at about 6:15 pm a week or so ago with a completely flat tire. It was pouring rain, dark, and not to mention I am pregnant. There was only one other person in the waiting area waiting for their car and I was told Sorry we close at 8 theres nothing we can do to help you right now were full They didnt close for another hour and a half and couldnt take 5-10 minutes to put a spare tire on....Ive have a flat changed several times at other places and it does not take more than 10 minutes. Very disappointed. Thankfully there was another auto place located very close that was able to help me!

On a trip and pulled off due to a noise in the front. Just had new tires put on the vehicle a week earlier. Ended up that one of the bolts (tire rim) had gotten sheared off and the remaining 4 were barely hanging on. This also messed up our brakes. They fixed everything quickly and got us back on the road. Very thankful we found them when we did!

Called an told them I had a flat, said they could take me. When I got there they gave the okay to do a four tire change on another car leaving us stranded for over two hours. We went from a half hour wait to a two and a half hour wait. We were from out of town and needed to be on the road. We went to National Tire and Batter across the street. Immediate help. Make an appointment and then expect to wait an hour anyways to have ONE leaky tire looked at. Next be told their road hazard warranty only covers $98 on a $230 tire. Final step, take your business down the street to Discount TIre like you should have in the first place. What a garbage store.

I had an appointment for oil change that I had a coupon for. I have a 4 cylinder. Well the woman instantly says to the guy oh this is going to need special oil, so I wont be able to get the deal. I knew I needed 2 new tires, but after the bull I was given for the oil change, I went down to NTB and got my new tires. I didnt get bull there. I should have gone to Pep Boys in Lansing, the tell you the truth. The last time I went to Lansing years ago I bought 4 tires. I gave this location 2stars, because I should have gone to Lansing and I didnt. My care doesnt need special oil.

So thought I was receiving good customer service I went here a. Couple of weeks ago for an alignment feels sort of mediocre. This is why people go to specialist instead but anyway, after my alignment they try to sell me tires I say Im ok Ill get them later guy just says ok Guy with an attitude but failed to even mention my brakes which is what sucks because 2 weeks later my car is now making a horrible scrubbing sound I was respectful and everything which is why I dont even know how could they fail to mention that but its cool I just thought some people should see this maybe even an higher up because that is some garbage customer service right there

My Son drives for Uber and got a yearly inspection done at this Peps boys, they did breaks and three tires, one month later the rotors went bad and a bulge developed in the sidewall of our driver side tire. He took car back, they said the rotors were bad and tried to make him pay because the rotors cost more that they were replacing them with: after a long drawn out debate, we did not have to pay for the rotors and the defective tire!!!!! Now we are back because the same driver side tire has another bulge and they are trying to blame on us, when they know they are putting old defective tires on a car that they have done an Uber inspection on!!! They will be reported to Uber and BBB!!!! WE WILL NOT BE CONTINUING BUSINESS WITH PEPS BOYS IN CRESTWOOD!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OLD DEFECTIVE PARTS!!!!!!!

Awesome team! We were in a real fix with our VW mini-van. Warranty company and VW were less than helpful and really HORRIBLE even though they knew about the factory defect. Jordan (Svc Mgr) and his team went above and beyond to get our loved van back on the road AND didnt leave us living in her with the bill. More than fair and far far superior to the dealership in service and just plain perseverance in solving our riddle. Thanks a ton to those guys!

Had a flat tire and was going to buy 1 new one but the manager gave me a great deal on 4 new high quality tires it took longer than expected.but.i was a walk in without an appointment so this is understandable i would recommend this location to anyone looking for a good deal on tires
