I have been searching for a great colorist for the longest time and I found her here. If your looking for a hairdresser with an extreme amount of knowledge with color Jennifer is your girl !!! Jen is so amazing, she is the BEST in hair color !!! The salon is great all the hairdressers that work there are really nice and welcoming. I would recommend this salon to everyone. This is my new FAVORITE salon !!

Penny and her staff are just great. They made me look good ( which is hard to do) and then also did a great job on my wifes hair and she is really particular. They are really very friendly on top of all that. What more can you ask for??

I have never been to a more professional place than this hair salon. All of the hair stylist are expertly trained, in all aspects of beauty culture.I have been having my hair done here for 5 years. Their total professionalism, is what keeps me coming back. They excel in hair color and cutting. If you want to look fabulous, and chic, This is the place to come to. By the way, the girls are warm and friendly, you never feel like anyone is talking about you behind your back when you leave. That is the best gift of all about the Mane Event.

I love going to the mane event. Kayla has been doing an amazing job on my hair for years. The whole staff is friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable. I highly suggest getting your hair done here- you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager and the few times I’ve gone elsewhere, I’ve regretted it. Even though I lived across the country for a few years, I would make time to see Kayla when I visited. She and her team do an amazing job every time!

Today I had the worst experience of my life with waxing at the mane event.I booked an appointment for full face and full hand wax. The lady who was appointed to do it had no idea what a full face wax means?! Initially she only did part of my forehead (with patches of hair not removed) and destroyed my eyebrows completely. She didn’t know cheeks, chin and nose are also included in face. LOLThen comes the hand. Cannot even begin to explain how mad I am right now. She only bothered to remove some patches of hair. Most hair are still there :’) she kept on complaining about the new wax. It was very evident she had no experience with waxing.Please I request you, if you have no experience in doing something just don’t do it. Atleast that will prevent you from messing up someone’s face/hands/appearance. SO SO DISAPPOINTED!Payed $104 just to get it done again from somewhere else.

I love the mane event! When I moved from north jersey I had the hardest time finding someone who would cut my hair the way I wanted it, until someone recommended Jen. From the moment I walked in I felt like I’d been going there my whole life, all of the girls are so sweet. Jen cut my hair just how I liked it and was so sweet through my entire appointment. Will absolutely continue going back there!

I made a last minute appointment to get my hair done for my rehearsal dinner and they did a beautiful job! Melissa was very professional and creative!

The Mane Event is where you go to relax and have true professionals work on your hair. I don’t sit there worried that my hair won’t turn out the way I want it like I have with so many salons before I found this one. They only do high quality work and they charge accordingly which I think is more than fair. If you want the best you should be happy to pay for it and these hard working ladies time and skills are worth every penny. I have Kristin do my balayage and it’s the best my hair has ever looked. They take excellent care of you in a clean and comfortable environment. If you want to look and feel amazing this is the place to go!

I went into the Mane Event on a Monday because they are one of the only salons open on a Monday. I’m so glad l did. I got highlights, a haircut and blow dry with Kayla. She did everything l asked for and l absolutely love my hair! I will never go anywhere else. I definitely highly recommended this salon.

If the salon you go to now never gets you lookin the way you want to, then GO TO THIS ONE! I started going to The Mane Event Salon about 3 years ago and I love this place. Every time Im there, I notice how other customers come in and talk to their stylist like they have known them for years. Great atmosphere, filled with funny and friendly people, making every experience an enjoyable one. I always go to Emily, who gets me to the perfect blonde every time. We also used this salon for a bridal party I was in. Our hairstyles looked gorgeous and lasted the whole night. Highly recommended.

Really nice people but I walked out with black hair. Idk how long it’s going to take to get my brown hair back but I am very upset. She offered to lighten it but I don’t want to mess with it anymore. Prices are kind of high.

Being in our late 50s, my Lady-Friend was understandably concerned about root discoloration. She was seeking a new color expert and WOW did we find a GREAT place here in Cranford. The Mane Event is the perfect salon with everything she was looking for. I also found out they have an affiliate company that performs personalized Hair & Nails for weddings and other functions of major importance. These folks are super professional, kind, patient and very reasonably priced. They do great work here, not just color but cuts too ! Highly recommended....

A hot mess

Went there few weeks ago after getting an atrocious haircut elsewhere. I was set up with Kayla. All I can say is, she has just gained a new client.

The place was nice and Penny the owner is very nice, I was just disappointed on how they charged me for a haircut, blow and straighten. I came in with a free haircut, they told me that a haircut was 28.00 20.00 to blow and did not give me a price for staightening. An overall haircut and blow would run around 50.00 that is what they quoted me. I end up leaving for free haircut, blow and straightener for 50.00. So where in that price is a free haircut. I will never go back there and the person who cut my hair was awful and she didnt know how to straighten hair, she took a chunk of it and just used the straightener I can do that why do I need to pay her. I will not name names because i really dont like to write these kind of reviews. But my overall experience was not good will not ever go back there and i got ripped off for a for a free haircut promo. Come on I know we all need to make a living but that was ridiculous.

Cathy Ferro is fantastic and we have been her customers since she has been employed at the Mane Event. My family originally grew up in NJ. We moved to PA 8 years ago. We still drive to Cranford, NJ (1 hour & 15 minutes each way) to get our haircuts from her. The prices are reasonable. We do not trust anyone else to touch our heads. Cathy is a wiz as a hair stylist. We always get perfect haircuts. She is very personable and always makes our kids laugh. We recommend all of our friends to her. All of the employees are very professional and personable.
