Bathrooms are filthy and continuously in disrepair. Equipment is outdated, frequently broken, and several pieces have visible rust. Much of it is the same stuff from 1997, when it was Golds Gym. Been thru about four owners and name changes since then. There is absolutely no good reason to train here. Well, they bought a Pit Shark, which is cool. But nobody uses it much and the staff doesnt know how to instruct members on its appropriate use.

Sub par equipment and up keep of facilities, still charged me after cancellation of membership and feel that is ok standard to keep. Place has gone down hill once they switched ownership.

This place is successor of Fit for Life fitness. There are many fitness machines, exercise bikes, treadmills. My wife also likes a lot of available classes. Not so crowded as many other places. Huge free parking is available.

Poor customer service and disrespectful owner. I requested cancellation of my membership and the owner spent 15 mins on the phone trying to convince me that I should keep paying for something I didnt want. He seems to be under a delusion that buying and renovating a gym is a service to humanity--he couldnt stop talking about how considerate he was and what a great thing he had done by renovating a failing gym. Really lame guy. I finally got the confirmation via email after I hung up, and the effective cancellation date was 8 weeks after my request. My suggestion is to pay more and go to a better gym, or buy your own equipment if you can.

My gym for years. Free wieghts and machines . Now have crossfit. Julio is awesome and rest of staff is great.

I agree with all the reviews. Except with William Serrano. I have been a member with FFL for years. First off, I was never notified about the take over by Blue Peak. I only find out when all the sudden was getting threatening voice mail about a late payment which was not correct. Second, they charge me a $40.00 dollar yearly fee a second time as soon they took over which had to be corrected. Also, they do not fix broken equipment quickly or accurately. Its always broken. They do not buy new equipment either but inform new customers that they do with the 40.00 charge, bogus. I have spoken to the owner several times and so has others, feedback is the same. Worthless! Looking for another gym and advise others not to bother.

I can attest to the remarks below in regards to the poor aesthetic and maintenance of this gym. It was already bad when it was FFL.. now that Golds Gym took over, forget it. They also charge guests to try the gym $20/day. Not a great incentive to attract crowds but as previously mentioned theyd rather focus on Crossfit so I can only imagine things just getting worse and worse.

Not a bad place, exept that theyre focusing more on the K something group training thing and forgetting about the other side of the place. I heard is because members of the group thing pay more money, like $150 a month so, I guess theyre worth more. Just my opinion. Machines broken and fewer tread mills now.

Place is a joke. Pathetic... Cut free weights down to 1/3 of original size to accommodate cross fit which basically is an expanded 3rd grade gym class used for fashion and socializing... Do the world a favor and sell before you go bankrupt

Very upset with the new management. Almost half of the elliptical machines do not work, which makes working out difficult since I mostly use the elliptical. They recently removed the sanitizing wipes from their walls with no alternative, I think this was a poor move and is very unsanitary. Staff is unidentifiable, no uniforms, rude and unprofessional. It just seems as if a bunch of young adults hang out at the counter instead of working. Im just very disappointed, Im paying the same amount of money when it was Fit For Life yet quality has drastically decreased. I plan on finding another gym soon.

Extremely slow at fixing broken equipment. About 30% of the equipment is currently unavailable due to repairs. When this placed was Fit for Life, the longest a machine would be down would be 1 week tops. Now its can take a month or two before someone comes to fix it. Cant really work out when you dont have working equipment. Currently looking for another gym.

My contract of a year ended in November and its now April and I am still being charged every month.I went to the gym in person to stop this nonsense and there is no manager ever there,the associate asked me to sign some papers and told me someone would contact me within 48 hours.Never got a call or email or letter.Went there a second time and again no manager or anyone in charge to take care of anything.Got a call the next day saying that they could not refund the money because they didnt receive my cancellation.What a waist of time and money.Save your money and sign up somewhere else.I am now a member of Power house gym in Linden and what a difference,I highly recommend it.The gym is clean,there is always someone in charge.

I was a member of FFL and it was nice and clean...now I regret coming back...bathroom is dirty ....showers don’t have soap ...no more sanitizers by the equipment..why?????...equipment broken for weeks...mr owner please fix those things as soon as posible. Thank you.

This gym is the worst it smells and workers does not clean. I went to cancel my subscription in person the work stated i would be canceled in 30 days and not deducted after February. Well i got a deduction on my bank account for the month of March. I go back in person and dispute the charge of course no managers are there and no one knows what they are talking about. The worker says my cancellation is pending. This is so they can continue deducting funds out your account and not notice. Finally i tell the worker to get a manger on the phone for them to say you have 60 days cancellation like that does not make any sense they want to just get money from you and your not even there. This gym is a scam don’t ever go here.

Ive been a member of Fit for life for years now but fell off with the gym visits as always. When it changed over to Blue Peak I was excited to go back. Since Ive been back I have noticed a severe decline in the quality and experience I have at this gym. On every visit I spend a good 10 minutes trying to find an Elliptical or treadmill that works properly, currently only about 4 of them are working at 100 percent. Before I work out I used to be able to sanitize the equipment with wipes provided however it seems the staff here thought it was a good idea to remove sanitizing wipes... has no one here heard of MSRA? When this was FFL, I would always see staff members cleaning equipment but since Ive come back I only see the staff down by the counter, staring at their phones or eating. They have never been rude or not greeted me so theyre good people its probably the owner who tells them not to clean or something who knows. Anyway, FFL was a great clean and well kept gym its a shame to see it go like this. Unfortunately Ill have to go somewhere else which sucks because the location is right by my house.

Read every word on the contract they make you sign, I took the person who was selling me a trial membership for his word instead of double checking the contract and wound up getting charged a monthly fee.... when i called them to fix the situation i was told by Bill the owner that he would look into it and call me back. He never did and I received harassing phone calls immediately from a collection agency when I stopped the payments from my bank. I had to go in myself and was told that they recieve many phone calls and that he didnt feel like calling me back because I was angry, with a non chalant look on his face at that? highly unprofessional ..... if there is a problem with a client at your place of business and you tell a client you will call them back after looking into a situation there is no professional excuse not to do so...

Terrible customer service. Cancelled membership more than 2 months ago and they keep charging my debid card. They also charged me the annual fee a month after I cancelled my contract. Called the owner and he never picks up. Very frustrating.

TERRIBLE!! First of all the gym changed names and owners I assume. They did NOT notify me of this and BEGAN changed an ANUAL FEE! When I called the staff was rude! How does a company just begin changing your credit card WITHOUT permission?
