We had 3 first time escape artists and 3 others that have done one or two escape rooms before that went to the assassin theme room last night.we had so much fun! When I called to set it up, the lady who answered my call was so pleasant and accommodating. I appreciated her getting help to come in for our group to be able to do the event. The room was fun and had a lot of clues for us to figure out. I am so happy that we went there and cant wait until we go again to try another theme! Thank you Cryptic Room!!

We scheduled an escape room for the same day we planned to visit since they were appointment only. We got there and the building was dark. Upon calling the business we spoke with a gal who was so apologetic and kind! She explained that today was she was in meetings all day, and that it shouldnt have allowed us to book, but sit tight and shed be there shortly. She pulled up about 10 minutes later and got us situated for our room, Paradise?. We escaped with time to spare and she took our photo and chatted with her a bit before we left. Overall a very good experience and the rooms are very well put together and thought out! We will definately be back to do more!

Absolutely Incredible, so much fun and so much more affordable than the Omaha escape rooms. They were awesome and I will definitely be back to play the other ones soon :)

Me and the wife did the cave one. We have never done any type of escape room. We had a blast doing it!. We was very happy with being able to finish in time. We are definitely going back to do more!. They game master was awesome to with the very little hints and nudges they gave us along the way.

First time at The Cryptic Room. Fantastic escape room. Puzzles were HARD at times but seemed to make sense and were a lot of fun to solve. We did the Lost Cave and made it out with about a minute to spare. Whew! We will excitedly return.

The HC Remodel and Design Team had a great experience at the Cryptic Room! The experience was challenging and engaging! We had the exact right amount of help to keep us moving while letting us struggle through and figure things out. Definitely recommend!!!

Our family loves a good escape room and we have been to most of the options in the Omaha area. We have found it to be a great activity during Covid. This was our first time to The Cryptic Room and it did not disappoint. It is located in a very cool building on Council Bluffs Main Street. I was impressed with the level of detail and thought put into the room design. It was a challenge to say the least, but we were able to escape with just a few minutes left. The host was great and I loved the fact that she did not help unnecessarily. The background stories of each of their rooms are intertwined, which I thought was a nice touch. We are making plans to go again in the next couple of weeks.

So much fun for everyone!!!! I recommend the Paradise room because it was just amazing!!! The staff is really nice! There are two rooms in each escape room. Plus, each room has an interlocking story! It’s so much fun to discover things! (In the paradise room, we got the highest score with the least amount of help) not to brag or anything! 😉

An amazing experience. You can tell they really love what they do there. Did the assassins lair and loved it. Troy is my dawg now. He loves his job. And he made it amazing. 11/10 plan on going in the future

This was our 1st experience with an Escape Room and Thanks to The Cryptic Room it will most definitely not be our last. We are already looking forward to coming back and doing another room. All 5 of their rooms have an interconnected story that we cant wait to see what happens next. Even though this was my 1st time trying an escape room, The Cryptic Room is definitely the best escape room Ive ever tried. 😉👍

Me and my friends came here and did the Assassins Lair. It was Awesome! Very fun. I loved finding clues and Troy, the owner, was very nice and friendly. You definitelty know you are going to get a good experience with him.

Lived in this community my entire life so far and went there last Saturday, and brought my wife, three kids and two of their friends. It was the first time any of us had tried an escape room. We had a great time, the place was very cool and I the staff was amazing. Troy that worked there was wonderful in helping us and explaining how it worked. Would highly recommend this place. Proud that we have something like this in the Council Bluffs Community.

We had such a great time here. This was our second escape room experience (we had done one with a different company before). We did Aunt Myrtles Room and it was so much fun we just barely made it out in time. So many different clues, puzzles and locks. It was so much fun. They are awesome game Masters and will sometimes give you unsolicited advice. Which is good because sometimes you get to hung up on something that isnt important. We also found out all of their rooms have a connect story because to quote them we (they) are nerds. And lets be honest nerds make the best game Masters. I cant wait to try the other rooms and learn about the connected story. I highly recommend them. Their stories are great and the clues are hard but not impossible to figure out.

Our family decided to do an escape room at The Cryptic Room in CB as many of us were in town for the holidays. We had 10 people, and only 2 had done an escape room before. We had a fantastic time at The Cryptic Room! The staff was helpful in introducing the newbies on what to expect, but also made sure everyone had a challenging, yet very fun, experience. After we escaped our room, they allowed us to take a group photo—at no cost. They also gave us a tour of their other rooms that we hadn’t seen. All the rooms look so fun and are very creative! We all plan to come back and try them out in the future! This was such a wonderful experience for us all, and was something we could do as a family with different generations. Thank you to the staff at The Cryptic Room for ensuring we had an unforgettable and amazing time as a family! We will be back again :)

This place rocks! We have loved the stories that go into these rooms. They are very well planned out with some nice surprises.

Went through the cave of lost souls and it was very well decorated and well thought out. The staff are very friendly and helpful with their little nudges. For example, we triggered an action and hadnt realized it till they simply said look up. It was my first one ever and I had a ton of fun with it.

We did The Cave of Lost Souls and it was so much fun! It was the perfect difficulty level for the two of us and we will be back again!!

This place is awesome!! If you are looking for a great escape room this is it! The owners Troy and Angel are so helpful and down to earth! They are so friendly and since we were not that familiar with escape rooms, they gave us some advice and some background which was super helpful! They took the time to explain to us how it all works and gave us a tour of the rooms! I would recommend this to anyone even if you have never thought about doing it! You will have so much fun here! We will definitely be back to do the other rooms!!

The Cryptic Room was by far one of my favorite escape room experiences that I have encountered so far. The room was a great balance between challenge and fun, with never a dull moment. The storyline that connects all of the rooms together is intriguing and has me wanting to experience them all. Along with that the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The gamemaster was diligent about giving helpful nudges and hints when they were needed in order to fully experience the room. Overall I will be telling my friends and family about my experience and I will definitely be going back!

Had an amazing time last night at The Cryptic Room. We have done a few different escape rooms, in a few different cities and this place is one of the best ones hands down. From the time we walked in, until the time we escaped, we truly enjoyed ourselves. Staff was friendly, informative and did a great job explaning tips, tricks and rules. We spent the evening at the Cryptic Room last night, there were 10 of us. We had an absolute blast! Only a few in our group had done this before. I received this from a Cancer Benefit Silent Auction and thankful that I got it! After we made it out of the room, we had drinks and appetizers provided. Troy was very professional and we are confident that they laughed at us behind the cameras. Definitely going to do this again! Great Job The Cryptic Room!

My wife and I recently took some family and friends to The Cryptic Room during a visit to Council Bluffs.We did the C.O.R.E. Intruders scenario, and I cant say enough good things about it. Theres a nice variety of puzzles to solve, and a few that were completely unlike Ive seen in any of the other escape rooms Ive done. I thought the whole scenario was very well planned and executed !This particular scenario involves some outside help of a friendly hacker, and a very nice twist involving the players actively avoiding detection, both of which added to the fun. (Both of these are in the description of the scenario so Im not giving away any surprises here)A very nice touch was a video shown beforehand that covered some things to help players in the game, including how various types of locks work, and likely interactions with objects in the game room (e.g., you wont need to move large, heavy furniture to advance in the game, or disassemble things unless explicitly given tools to do so)Overall, A+ ! Go check this place out; youll have a good time.

A lot of fun!

I went to this escape room for the first time with 4 other friends last weekend. The building is pretty cool and easy to find. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The rules are pretty lax (i.e. leaving the room to go to the bathroom), which I saw as a positive. The only down side was that the room itself was a little dirty and it was hotter than heck in there -- we were all sweating at the end. The room was really interesting and fun to solve. We loved it and would 100% be back -- but we may wait for a cooler evening!

This was such an amazing experience. Its only $25 per person instead of $100 no matter how many people which made it a great cheaper idea for a couple or a few friends. I would have never made it thru Aunt Myrtles without hints and clues. This was a very well thought out room. Cant wait to go back and figure out how Aunt Myrtle died and who Mr. X is. Totally worth every penny. Thanks to the staff at Cryptic Room.

Had an absolute BLAST. Budget friendly and very challenging without being impossible. The guide gave little nudges here and there without giving away clues, really helped keep you going without sacrificing the challeng.
