Most stuff is free to dump here. I like to take my boxes to recycle and large items that are too big to put in my regular garbage. I took an old mattress here and it was only $10. Very easy way to dispose of unwanted items that are not something you would donate or sell to someone.

This is a great place for recycling. The City Employees are professional and personal. Its the only place in town now but it means a lot to come and do my small part for Mother Earth.

Currently accepting brush and trimmings. Glad I didnt have to ride to Camp Verde today!! Helpful staff. Usually a busy place!

The rates currently are ran by the cubic yard, starting at 10$ per cube of brush (yard trimmings, yard material)14$ per cubic yard of trash26$ per cubic yard of construction.Recycling is free, and assistance is available for any drop upon request. Appliances such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, or any bulk metal materials are free of charge.NOTE - This facility is not operated by Cottonwood City, Patriot Disposal is the current owner of this facility.NOTE - Concrete, tires, refrigerators (or any freon appliances) are not accepted due to potentially hazardous transportation issues.

I go there for recycling about once a week, also the cost for dump fee are not bad at all

The service is fine along with the hours of operation.The only issue I have is the city charges way too much, compared to the transfer station in Camp Verde.Update 11-17-2020; I found out the City of Cottonwood does not operate this facility. Patriot Disposal, out of Prescott, operates this facility. So the high fee is reflected onto Patriot Disposal.

They are nice folks and try to run a magnet over the ground frequently but be careful about tire damage from nails, etc. Ive had several flats turn up soon after having gone here. Ive gotten to where I park outside the gate and carry my stuff in. If I have a lot I think Im going to start trying to fit a wheelbarrow in to the back of my truck to make it a little easier.

All of a sudden the operators wont take cash and said you need a credit card to dispose of waste here??? Is someone stealing credit card info here? Id be really careful who you give your credit card to. Would like to know who to call about this. Guess where your neighbors old mattress is gonna end up! Not the disposal facility!

I was told over the phone that the cost to dispose of a mattress was $10 after being pointed towards several dumpsters about 12 feet high, told to throw mattress over side, and chastised for apparently putting it in the wrong dumpster full of mattresses, I was charged $15. When I asked Will about it, he said he cant give me a refund and wanted to give me credit. When I refused because I try not to frequent this over priced establishment a folded $20 bill was produced from Wills pocket and thrust into my hand, and my receipt taken from me, I was very rudely told to never return. No wonder so many people dump their trash in the wilderness up the road from the transfer station instead of utilizing this important community resource. Nice work city of Cottonwood!

This place is great!!! Who ever rated 1 star probably just took their personal problems out on that place. The guy is always reasonable. This place takes all kinds of junk.

The open times have changed to Wed until Sat. not accepting brush right now which really presents some problems with the current burning ban. Wish I would have known before loading up the truck on a Tuesday......not a good experience. Now to drive to Camp Verde.....

Small transfer station, who just abide the rules. Hours are wed thru sat but if you call ahead you could of found that out. Good people doing a tough job

The guys working there were great, they cut me a good deal.

Reasonable prices and the guy who works there is very helpful and friendly. Make sure to check the hours or call ahead because you never know.

Thank you Will for doing a job 99% of others would refuse. Hours are posted on city website and on the voice recorded message when you call after hours. It is too bad that when people are inconvenienced, they deem it tragic and have to attack others. Thank you for your time and service to the comunity Will !!!
