I live out of town, and my father needed a haircut. So I called Hamlin Barber shop to ask how much they charged for a haircut. The guy said $12. Since theyre really close to my fathers house, we were there in less than 5 minutes. My father, who is disabled, walks very slowly. We get out of the car and are about to walk in, and the guy suddenly puts the closed sign on the door. I walked in and said, I just called you 5 minutes ago for the price of the haircut. He said they close at 2. I said, but its only 1:50. He said were closed. I said, you could have told me on the phone you were going to close at 2. He said, you didnt ask. I said, nice really nice. Is that how you treat customers? He just smirked. What a jerk!

Johnny always makes me look good.

Not up to date environment, but Derrell Free is one exceptional barber and I wont let anyone else touch my hair. My husband has gone here for years also. The owner and other barber, Johnny is always pleasant and friendly.

Ive been going to derrel for over two years for my daughter (who are 7 & 4 )and my self and he always dose amazing job very detailed and pays attention to how we want our hair I refuse to go any where else! I highly recommend this place
