I have been a customer of Lake Norman Modern Nissan for many years...God only knows why. I traded in my Nissan for an Audi...and things have never been the same. I have spent the entire day trying to get a copy of an extended warranty I purchased and was provide via thumb drive, which does not work. I was told finance was the only department that can provide me a copy. Well, I have called all day, left messages, been transferred to other managers who lines go to voice mail. No one has returned my calls, and no one can provide me what I need...it is only a copy of an extended warranty not some top secret car trade deals. Also when I purchased this warranty I was told it would include oil changes...much to my shock that was not true. I had the same warranty on my Nissan...and they did not even honor or transfer that service to my new car. This is why they have not seen my car nor ever will again. There are so many other options to have great customer service at other dealerships and I would suggest you take that opportunity and never deal with Lake Norman Nissan...unless of course you are satisfied with less than par customer services.

It was a great experience buying my pre-owned 2018 Nissan Rogue from here! Looking for a new car was extremely stressful but when we came to Modern Nissan, Christian was so helpful and patient. If I could get Modern Nissan of Lake Norman 10 stars I would! I bought my first new car here yesterday and my experience with them was absolutely AMAZING. With it being my first new car ever, I was extremely nervous! But that all went away when we sat down with car salesman Christian Marge, he was simply amazing through out the entire process. Christian, Nick, & Billy made this process so easy for me. Christian also helped my boyfriend a few months ago with getting a new truck, Tyler was so impressed he told me he didnt want me to buy a car from anyone else! If you are looking to buy a car from here, 100%, no doubt about it, DO IT! Exceptional car buying experience. I absolutely dreaded this day knowing our Subaru at close to 200,000 miles - was time to upgrade. Christian Marge made this experience easy and painless. I knew my numbers and what I wanted. Christian and his crew made it happen! They got me to pretty much exactly what I wanted numbers wise and in a truck we love. It takes them 2 hours to change oil even when you had an appointment.Recommended me to immediately change engine and cabin filter, although i had replaced them last month and they are all fine. I doubt if they even checked it.Good amount of seating space if you want to wait and work from there.

Generally dont have a good experience with service staff, but this visit was not just pain free, but relaxing. Service rep was courteous, nice and professional. Explained the service needed and got out of there before the timeframe that she provided to me at the start. Only negative was the layout of the waiting room. Big windows make it airy, but the sun just bakes.

I was greeted almost immediately by the Service Advisor, Ally and was attended to in a friendly and professional manner when dropping my car for service at Modern Nissan. Initially the car need the NC state inspection and an oil change. However, Ally later advised me that other services may be required or recommended. I later consulted with her and selected three additional services out of the 5 recommended, including a wheel alignment which the car badly needed, and the air filters being the other services requested. My car was hand washed as well and everything was ready when I went to pick it up.

Service Center-I call to make an appointment. I show up she has no idea why Im there, I tell her I need car inspection, she tells me the machine is broken. I told her they didnt tell me that on the phone, she proceeds to blame the call center, like its their fault. Which its not they should give the call center updates. I then tell her about my recall which she proceeds to tell me they probably dont have it and confused my model for a maxima which I repeated twice it was a sentra. Finally I call at 4pm to be told its been done since 2pm. I dont understand the purpose of having an appointment if I have to repeat myself or wait just as long.

I am so glad I no longer have to deal with Modern Nissan of Lake Norman. I definitely would not recommend buying, selling, or getting your vehicle serviced at this location.I purchased my Nissan Pathfinder from this location new in 2014. The vehicle came with free inspections for the life of the vehicle. We take care of our cars and maintain our vehicle recommended services. Each time it would take hours to complete the inspection. I would only take my vehicle here for inspections or if other Nissan dealerships did not have appointments that fit my schedule. I am a mom and an educator so my time is valuable. I hated going to the dealership for any type of service because of the long wait times. In March I took my vehicle in for a 100K service and a recall I was told that everything was fine. I did pay 304.00 for maintenance (air cabin filters, flushes etc), then I went back on June 8th or my annual inspection. A 30 minute service took over 2 hours with an appointment! My appointment was at 9:15, and by 12:00 I had to ask for my vehicle. Again I was told my car was in great condition. Recently I decided to sell my vehicle and had a firm offer on the table from another dealership. Nissan of Lake Norman asked me to come and they would beat that offer. The day before I had uploaded required information and photos on their site, but I had to call them to start the conversation on selling the vehicle. I brought the vehicle in only to be told it was giving a code, and received a lower offer. Then I was told that this was happening with a lot of 2014 Nissans. The assessment was questionable because two other dealerships had assessed my vehicle that day and did not mention this “code”. My biggest concern was why I just being given this information after receiving two recent services with a great report?!? I sold to the other dealership for my asking price and that dealership gave me a loaner vehicle to drive even though I am not purchasing a vehicle from them. Someone from Nissan of Lake Norman called me the following day inquiring about purchasing my vehicle. I recounted the aforementioned encounter and he responded with an apology, and stated, “I hope you get your (redacted car brand)”. I responded, “Oh, it is a done deal I am simply waiting on delivery.”The BEST part is that my NEW car was delivered early. The universe heard his request…..

I purchased a vehicle from Modern Nissan of Lake Norman on Tuesday from a sales guy named Jacob.Out of all of the sales agents I had been talking to by phone or meeting with at different dealerships, Jacob’s approach to helping me made me feel most comfortable.I appreciated him for being helpful and available but not pressuring or pushy.Once we met to look at the car he helped me find the perfect fit for my needs and specific wants in the model I’d been researching.Once we picked a car, the finance manager Taryn was super helpful and accommodating to purchasing the vehicle and getting a loan. SALES:Firstly, I was bamboozled with regard to the price of the vehicle. The online price of the car was $13,145. The screenshot was taken on the EXACT SAME DAY that I went in to purchase the car: 9/3/19. As you can see, I paid $13,666.96 for the car. That is $521.96 MORE THAN ADVERTISED. Should I have been more observant? Yes, but it was my first car purchase and my naïveté let me believe a salesman would be honest. Yeah, I know.Not to mention, that same salesman told me that he knew a guy that could tint my windows for $200 (or $100, cant remember but it was either) and come to find out, it came with the purchase of my vehicle. A higher up happened to tell me about the free (or included, rather) tinting in conversation a couple of days later. How sad is that?SERVICE:I had three issues that I noticed upon completion of my purchase. 1: a rattling sound when I drove my vehicle without music, 2: my car shakes when I turn on my a/c, 3. it was a terrible burnt rubber smell after driving for a while. Naturally, I wanted these things to be fixed while in warranty so I took the car back immediately. Issue 3 was fixed effortlessly as I had a cracked reservoir and the liquid was leaking onto the hot motor, causing the smell. It was replaced. Issues 1 and 2, I still remain to this day.They put 40 miles. FORTY MILES on my car, just to tell me that they couldnt figure it out. -_- 40 miles is utter ridiculousness but the ridiculousness reaches a new level when you dont even deduce the problem. I really havent driven anywhere since March 2020, but now that everything is opening back up, and Im traveling more. The issues have re-emerged and the disappointment from this company has also came back to mind.Beware that you will be taken advantage of in the sales department so if you MUST patronize this business, PLEASE DO NOT BE GREEN. Pay attention to the numbers, read through the contracts, be diligent in protecting your interests because that is not a priority of Modern Nissan of Lake Norman.

What can I say to do these people justice? Actions speak a lot louder than words and due to their knowledge, response time and willingness to go the extra mile I do not purchase my vehicles from anywhere else, even though I reside in NY.Everything starts with Christian Marge who has assisted myself with 2 vehicles, and quite a few more that I reference to him due to his expertise, knowledge and helpful/professional demeanor. Christian provided extra pictures, videos, supporting documentation and assistance throughout the process as we were not on site, which was truly appreciated.Nick Palmas and Rob Schaefer were able to assist with the financing, documentation and shipping aspect going beyond the call of duty by staying late, or working in their off time to ensure things were taken care of before the holiday/end of month. I truly appreciate their efforts, deal making skills and support even after the documents have been signed. Currently awaiting shipment of 2 vehicles, and assisting 3 more people with purchasing cars from them as the process has been painless and quick each time. Cant recommend them enough!

These guys are amazing!! Especially Brian and Steven. My husband and I came looking for a car after ours was totaled last week. I was indecisive the entire time and Brian did everything he could to help me. He went out in the cold rain numerous times and got different cars for me to drive and stayed 2 hours late until I finally decided to purchase a car. Steven also stayed two hours late and worked with our payments to get them down. He then prayed with us because he could obviously see how stressed I was (I was physically shaking). I can’t give them enough stars. I highly recommend them! I will admit....I was probably a terrible customer and put them through hell, but at the end of the day it showed that they cared about me and my purchase and I was able to walk away with a great car for a great price.

Imagine walking in a car dealer on a Thursday mid day. Walk those entire showroom, and lot. Without a single greeting or acknowledgment. While you see at least 5 people just sitting at their desk, and one guy walks right by you on the lot. This is a terrible experience.I guess since there is a car shortage they don’t feel the need to acknowledge walk ins.

You charged for an alignment that was supposed to be covered in an extra coverage we bought. My Don took the car, it’s in both our names. He is young and paid. You lied to him. I think I may need to talk with an attorney, you clearly have twisted facts. Sad, my brother in law worked at Michael Jordon Nissan for ever, should have went there!! I would discourage anyone, from coming to modern! We were also told that Exeter was Nissan financing, as if it was corporate funding, from the actual Nissan company! I hope your small commission was worth loosing massive business. I am in many social media groups, and after this weeks fiasco, I have already posted to stay away from your dealership.

I hate going this place. All services are overcharged. Everytime I come I have wait an hour or two. Today I went in for regular oil change, carwash and vacuum that was supposed to take an hour. I had to wait for 2hrs and a half. They wont honor other Nissan coupons. Crazy, because they use to take coupons by Nissan. So what its from another Nissan dealership but yall are the same Nissan affiliation.

Three years ago I was in a horrific wreck and I went to Nissan of Lake Norman. George was an awesome salesman. I just went to get my annual inspection (which is free at the dealership for as long as you own the car) and an oil change. I had an AWESOME $25 off coupon and as always, they completed the visit with a complimentary wash, inside and out. I have loved them for the three years they have serviced me and look at my baby Nicey the Nissan. She still looks as good as new. Their customer service cannot be beat!

Its pretty bad when you want to get your vehicle fixed and and the service department had a week to get a part a hr away. had to call the service consultant to see if part ever came in. tells me to come in 2 days later.spend 45 minutes there for them to tell me the part was damaged. and couldnt get a call to tell me. just wasted my time.. smh

BEWARE!!!I brought my 2014 Altima to your location in September of 2018 because the transmission went at 46k miles. Luckily I was still under warranty! Wrong! Because I was still under warranty, the transmission was never replaced, it was rebuilt instead. I expressed concern then that I felt this was not being fixed properly and that I would have more issues down the road but I was reassured the rebuild would fix it. I brought the car back in a few months later because something just didn’t feel right and I was reassured again that everything looked fine. Well, I have only put 10k miles on the car since the rebuild, now out of warranty, and the transmission went again. I brought it back to your location and within an hour, was told the transmission needs to be replaced. I explained the ‘band aide’ fix of the transmission when I was under warranty and was told “yeah we probably should have replaced it in 2018”. I was cheated and now told to pay $3,400 for a new transmission that should have been replaced when I was under warranty.

I already knew what I wanted before contacting modern nissan. I requested to schedule a test drive (late at night) and Chris called me the next day. He has been extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. There was no hassle or pressure and I feel that we both got a good deal. He is a great sales man and doesnt stop the moment the moment the sale is made/finalized. He still checks in with me to make sure that my new car is everything that i want and expected it to be. He helped schedule my window tinting and went with me when I got there, making finding where to go seamless. I didnt have to do anything, he did it all for me. My sales representative ”Christian” has been so helpful and made the whole process EASY! He informed me every step of the way, I couldnt have asked for a better rep. Best and easiest experience ever! Contacted them through KBB about a 2019 4runner they had listed. Received an immediate call back and email. Worked out all details of sale over the phone via text. Met with finance guy over video chat. And my new 4runner was delivered to my house in Raleigh from Charlotte the following day by my salesperson, Stephen Leach.Edited 9/3 as I still have not received the registration for my new vehicle and was not aware there was a problem until the DMV threatened to take my plates. The title clerk did not communicate to me or any sales/finance person I worked with that there was an issue. Very frustrating as I am not allowed to talk directly to clerk, but have to go through other people!

I bought a used car from Modern Nissan of lake norman 3 weeks ago. First thing there were a part needs to replace they said it will take about a week because they have to order the part now 3 weeks later when I went to check if it is ready they said they are still waiting for it .they said because off Corona virus everything is in back order, ok i understand that. My main complaint today when I bought the car they said I have 30 days bumper to bumper warranty and the paint on the roof is peeling. Now when I asked to fix the problem while I am on the 30 days warranty they said the warranty is only if mechanical problem. They laid to me .at the same time I am waiting for the part needs to replace. Well I dont have time to argue with them and I will let my attorney handle the rest.

It was great. I came in with a potential warranty. My condenser fan I described was intermediate slipping over the past two weeks. But if I had taken this issue to another garage they would have charged me a diagnostic and sent me away. But here, they kept it a little longer than normal to get the issue to show up since I am planning a big move with my truck and they told me they found the issue, going to replace the fan assembly and get me taken care of.

The price for the internet sale was not what was quoted. The salesperson and I worked out a price, however when I checked the paperwork the next day (I usually check before signing but my fault for not doing so) it was not the price we discussed. In fact it was more which I believe was to increased to offset for the trade-in. Again, my fault for not going through the contract prior to signing. I never in the past bought service contracts however since I ended up this time, Ill only go to get the service I am paying for but nothing else. I shouldve stuck with dealing to Modern Nissan in Concord as Ive been a customer there for over 13 years. Ill have to find another service center for my other vehicle. This will be my last purchase at Modern Nissan. Another note, sales people should not give a customer a form on what answers to put on a survey, tacky.

This Rogue is my third Nissan purchase. I bought it for my 19 year old. I shopped around the country for the vehicle and visited Nissan in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina, and other dealerships. This dealership was by far the furthest distance but definitely the best experience of all. Rodney, the sales associate, was a consummate professional. We spoke by telephone before I visited and what he told me by phone was proven true when I arrived. He treated me well and was a gentleman from opening doors to making sure I made it home safely. Justin, the sales manager, was awesome too and made the deal happen. He didn’t play games. We talked business and that was that. I was very impressed and, if I buy another Nissan, I will buy it from this dealership. Class act!
