I had a man cut my hair who had his wife sitting there. A horrible car accident happened outside where someone was likely killed and all she did was complain that there were too many cops and oh the Chinese were outside looking since there was a Chinese restaurant next to the shop. When I got home after driving around this horrible accident I took a shower to get the “little hairs out” after getting a haircut which most people do. I thought nair was put in my hair after the clumps I had to pull out since he cut it and just left it on my head. I’m sure Vinny is a fine barber but get those people out of your store. She was talking about trash people. She’s the trash.

My go to neighborhood barber shop. Vinny and his dad Joe are very friendly and accomodating. Very professional and hair cut is excellent! Price is reasonable and cheaper than others. Plus, the shop is awesome adorned with scale model cars, car parts and collectibles.

When I moved to this area of Long Island, I was on a mission. As per the usual for all of us when moving to a new area, I needed to find local places to which I would want to go about on my business and errands. One of the must haves on the checklist was a good barber.I am not hard to please, but I was hopeful for a place that was a comfortable locale, clean, quiet, within reasonable distance from me, and above all else had a cool and competent barber.I initially tried two different barber shops whose names I will not say, but just know theyre on the same road... They were decent, but I was not entirely comfortable going to either. One place had just too many people - it felt too impersonal. The other place had less, but I did not really click with them much.Third time is the charm it seems, as Vinnys was next on my righteous list to find a good barber shop. This shop is managed by both Vinny and his father, Joe. First things first: the shop is loaded with tons of automotive decor. What person does not take some enjoyment in seeing cool stuff from the automotive realm? You may say to yourself that would not matter, I am not a car person, you might say. Well you are, you just have not realized it yet, and Vinny and Joe chose well with decoration. It really gives the place good character.Secondly, Vinny and Joe are both awesome guys. It is cool to see a father and son team working together for their local community. I am not a super talkative person, that is to say I would not necessarily be jabbering away while getting a cut all the time, but Vinny and Joe, both of whom have cut my hair, are easy to have a gaggle with, but are just as content with leaving you be in your quiet zone if you so wish.Pricing is good, the quality of their work is solid, and they do all the standard stuff that you would expect from a barber shop. Maybe even more that I am unaware of.Walk-ins are welcome, but appointment via phone is also an option.I am happy to have found this place which has been my go to for cuts since. I also take my disabled uncle, which Vinny and Joe happily accommodate.I have lived on Long Island since 2014, and this is the best barber shop I have been to yet. For anyone looking for a new barber, I would strongly encourage you to give them a shot.

Been going to Vinny for 14 years now and I can honestly say I’ve got no reason to find another barber. Now I bring my son and the cuts are always on point. Great guy and his father Joe cuts alongside him now as well. Check them out if you haven’t

I have a 3 and a 5 year old. The boys love coming here. They are good with kids and give excellent haircuts. They are very professional and upbeat. The kids love all the little details and cars. Highly recommend this place for anyone of any age.

Our family has been going to Vinnys father, Joe, for over 20 years; when Joe moved in to Vinnys shop we started going there, and Vinny has cut my hair for the last few years now. The shop has a major auto theme, with model cars of all sizes and vintages, license plates, photos, posters, etc. all over. Very kid friendly, and they usually have a fun movie going on the TV while you wait. Highly recommended!

Since 2006, I can count on 3 occasions when I didnt get my hair cut at Vinnys. I hate going anywhere else because I love the true old school feeling that Vinnys barbershop has. To make it even better, Vinny now has his dad, Joe, working with him and there is nothing quite like getting a haircut with 50+ years of experience behind it. We only come to Vinny. The boys love him. He has amazing patience with my little guy and my older one loves the cars. The older one won’t let anyone else touch his hair.

I have been coming to Vinny’s Barber shop for 20 years moved to North Carolina and still come in every time I come to Long Island.

I went there for a cut. The barber....who was the owner Vinny, gave me a very bad haircut. I actually had to go later in the evening to another barber and cut off all my hair. I will never go back to this place again or suggest anyone else to go here.

I have been to every place on the east coast I only come to Vinny now.
