It’s 40 mins away from my home but I decided to try them as I heard lots of great reviews about this practice. They were one of few practices that accepted my kids insurance (Simply).Making an apt was pretty easy except I did try to call them few times before they finally answered the phone. The location of an office was a little hard to find. I opened Google maps & maps on my phone and both apps were saying completely different direction on how to get there. And only “maps” said the correct location. It’s located inside of the medical center on the 2nd floor all the way down to the left (from elevator). The office has a very roomy waiting area. I was surprised how quickly they called me and put to the room to fill out the papers. The nurse came pretty fast, same as PA Kathy. Both of them were super friendly, nice and polite. Kathy was amazing and spend time with kids.Everyone in an office sounds pretty nice and amazing especially working in different medical offices & knowing the process of how everything supposed to go.So this office runs amazing: smooth, fast, friendly environment, great customer service, great medical staff! Overall everything is great!I’m very happy to find such an amazing practice. Compare to Pediatric Associates when we spend hours of waiting first in waiting room then in a room. Countless hours there got me not going there for over a year. The only minus I found is that the bathroom didn’t have a toilet paper. And there were samples of baby products. I know we can ask them to have one or two for free, but I wish they would offer or put a sign to take whoever need it. I was short on specific formula they had in the office but was too shy to ask for it. I’d rather read it on the sign then ask (but it’s just me).Again, other than that it’s a great office, great pediatrics that truly care about little patients!
I love this place! I travel all the way from Miramar just for kids to be seen for their check ups etc! I am always so comfortable with them and the staff always so amazing
I dont know why some people are leaving such awful reviews. Its a medical office, sometimes they get busier than usual, thats normal, have some patients, people! ...get it? Haha ok, anyway, this office is almost 40 minutes from my house & I still think the drive is worth it. Dr. Colon is a non-hassle doctor, who will work with you on what YOU choose to do with your child, giving her knowledgeable advice along the way, but will not pressure you into something you dont want. She is quick to get back to you, even after hours, if you have a medical question or concern. Her Nurse Practioner, Katy, is a lovely, caring, personable & knowledgeable woman who always has my childs best interest in mind. We absolutely adore her. I recommend this office to anyone who asks.
My first grandson and their first visit. Dr. Colon took her time to answer all questions. She was patient and professional. i love her and her staff is excellent
Dr. Colon is absolutely wonderful! She takes the time to listen and answers all questions. Being a first-time parent, this is really important to me. Shes very nice and so is her office staff. I also love that she takes a medical holistic approach which is very hard to find in South Florida. I definitely recommend her.
Definitely do not go here if you care about your child do not go here! They prescribed my child something that he reacted bad to and then they wrote up another prescription, when I got to pharmacy they couldn’t issue the medication for a baby...I don’t know what dr Lina did when she was at med school, definitely wasn’t studying for sure. They also call dcf and hold medical records if you decide to leave and find a better doctor. This place is a joke
We love Dr. Colon’s practice! I have a background in integrative medicine and appreciate the balance this office offers between holistic and conventional approaches. I have an infant and twin ex-24 week preemies that have needed intense medical care and this office always provides amazing care and endless help with (referrals, appointments, recommendations, coordination of care, signed forms, etc). The staff is always pleasant and professional. I prefer an independent practice where we don’t feel like just another number and that’s what we get here ... We love Dr. Colon and our nurse practitioner Gabrielle!
If access to medical records is important to you, then dont go here. Dr. Colon is nice, but the office makes it difficult to access my sons medical records. Its disrespectful considering they are on top of billing and sure do charge my insurance, but when I need medical records its alright to never send.
If you are looking for a no-hassle Pediatrician that cares about your opinions concerning the care of your child, look no further. The front desk staff/NPs/Dr. Colon will never bully you into poisoning your kids with vaccines, and will give great natural remedy recommendations should you desire to restrict the amount of processed and synthetic chemicals your kids are ingesting or exposed to. I have had to contact the Doctor after-hours for urgent non-emergency advice on two separate occasions in the past two years, and she answered the call and calmly provided me with information without hesitation. Ignore the reviews saying the staff are rude - just because someone is not smiling at you 24-7 like a weirdo does NOT mean they are being rude. The staff is no-nonsense and to the point, they greet you and say thank you and good-bye just fine like normal people, nothing strange or rude about it. Call and set-up a new patient consultation, this office is awesome!
We have been going to Dr. Colons office for 5 years and love her and the staff! Dr. Colon is very professional and patient. Shes thorough and always knows how to make things kid-friendly and easy when they arent feeling 100%. She knows when to use medicine and when to take the holistic approach. The staff there is AMAZING! My kids always look forward to seeing everyone and giving hugs. They love the fact that the ladies greet them with hugs and ask how theyre feeling before sending them home with stickers. Their favorite part is when they get their vitals taken, the assistant who helps lets the kids feel special when they ask to help take their temperature. As a mom herself, Susan has always been helpful with my youngest when offering advise about teething; she hasnt steered me wrong. When the office is extremely busy, they let us know approximately how long the wait is. They still make time to tend to everyone and give each person their time with a genuine smile. I especially love the fact that we never feel rushed out of the door when we have questions. Even when the office is closed, the phone service still lets you dial through to get directly to the doctor on call. The NPs there are also very friendly and great. Were so glad to have found this office. They definitely have patients and friends for life with our family! Thank you all!
Simply Fantastic. Dr. Colon was my sons pediatrician for many years (he is now too old to see her). However, this past weekend, Dr. Colon went above and beyond to help my son who needed an important immunization form completed to register for college classes. Its a long story. The bottom line is that Dr. Colon was on vacation and went completely out of her way to make sure everything was taken care of. She was fantastic and my family is grateful to have a relationship with such a fantastic person and fantastic doctor. As stated above, shes simply fantastic.
I dont usually do reviews but I am highly impressed with our sons doctor for the past 9 years. We have had a few scary situations to work through with our son and have been very lucky to have Dr. Colon-Adamess advise and guidance. We strongly believe Dr. Colon is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Her staff at Coral Springs Holistic Pediatricsis is a pleasure to deal with. Highly Recommended!!
I’m so glad I found this practice; they’re kind and listen to you and don’t treat you just like another patient like some of the bigger pediatric clinics do.We see Sara and she is so kind with our daughter and always gives us options in regards to treatment. We have never experienced long wait times.
Dr. Linda Colón-Adames was recommended by several people over the years and never got around to taking my children to her office. Sadly, it took several poor experiences with Childrens Medical to realize that I needed to give her a try, long and short of it is; shes a great doctor, you can tell she really cares about her patients and the staff is nice to boot. If you want a Dr. Who listens to your concerns and gives you her best professional opinion without being derisive or condescending, her office is the place to go!
My son recently switched to Dr. Colon because Pediatric Associates (West Boca) basically gave us the boot unless we were going to give him (our son) vaccinations or at least start him on their plan. So far this office has been great. Last time Sara(h) was our nurse and she was great. DrColon and all the staff are quite friendly. 5 stars.
The doctor is great. Her nurse practitioner SUSAN is far from great. Shes rude. Shes not good with children. She doesnt seem knowledgeable. Ill never let SUSAN touch my son again. Avoid Susan & book your appointments with the doctor. Also I think the lady at the front is kind. Im not sure why people complain about her.
I have spent the first 3 years of my daughters life dealing with this awful office. Never again. Currently on a 45 minute wait past my appointment time and front desk girl is nothing short of rude. This will be my last visit. Dr Colon is decent but her office is atrocious. Stay away
Dr. Colon and her staff are amazing. I could not have asked for a better pediatrician for our son. We highly recommend her!
Love this doctors office! Moved to central fl so had to leave but the nurse practitioner was the bomb. She had a big book of herbal concoctions that she would go through with me when my kids had eczema break outs or any other aliments. Really nice office staff can call and leave a message and either Dr. Colon or the practitioner would call back or talk to you if they were available, which the doctor up here doesnt do. Really miss this place.
Just had to find a new Pediatrician because this office is so poorly managed. Every time I would call I would be on hold for an ungodly length of time until I would finally have to hang up and call back. They never sent medical records I requested AND told me a 7-10 business day wait to get my sons chart to new Pediatrician. They dont separate the sick children in the waiting room and the overall practice is run down. No weekend hours and you have to wait forever to get an appointment. I rarely saw Dr. Colon - mostly Nurse Practitioners. Dont waste you time with all the hassle of this poorly run practice - very frustrating!
1 star for waiting over an hour to see Dr. and another just because I like Dr. Colon. She does a great job and I love that she takes a more natural approach, but this office needs to work on customer service. Two hours in this office just to have a sore throat checked out! I will find somewhere else.
Have been seeing Dr. COLON for almost a year now since my son was born. She is good at what she does but I dont think she truly respects parents choices on medical decisions for their children. She keeps asking me the same thing at every appointment and I have to tell her No. Office staff could be better. Left me on hold for almost 25 minutes and I just needed to confirm an appt. Best time for an appointment is in the morning. If its any later, youll be there for hours. Still feeling it out if Im going to stay there or not.
I LOVE DR. LINDA COLON! And more importantly my 3 year old love her. My son has been going to Dr. Colons office since birth. I choose Dr. Colon for my son because of Dr. Colons holistic approach to child medicine. Dr. Colon understands my choice to not poison my son with vaccines. Dr. Colon presents both sides and support my decision for my son. Since birth she has directed me towards natural and organic ways to care for my sons health. I am proud to say that with Dr. Colons advice my son who is turning 4 and a swimmer, as yet to have an ear infection or any illness other than a cold. I count my blessing to have found a wonderful human being and doctor to take care of my son. But my son of course doesnt like the nurse who takes blood. He said she not nice. LOL of course who likes someone with a needle. Thank you Dr Colon for loving and caring for my son :0)
Dr Colon respects my choices as a parent and provides quality care. She puts the child first but always offers alternative holistic care when able. There have been times she will not recommend antibiotics and times when she insists. We chose her for her balance of natural and western practices. I very much recommend her to other parents who are looking for a pediatric office who is caring and educated in both holistic and western medical care. She always takes her time and you never feel rushed. The wait is at times long but its a busy practice. They have always gotten my child in for a sick visit within 24 hours.
Dr. Colon really cares, shes an awesome doctor, with great experience andSuper friendly staff.
We like Dr. Colon!!! Her office staff can be a hit or miss with their attitude. Sometimes they are AWESOME sometimes they are not. But Dr. Colon really is wonderful and very knowledgeable about any possible holistic approaches as well as when to use conventional medicine.
After a few bad experiences with other doctors, we are happy to know our children are in excellent care now. We drive 40 min from Fort Lauderdale to see her. Dr. Colon is highly experienced and a wonderful person. You can be sure to bring your children here.
Update:90 MINUTES total wait.Forty bloody minutes waiting to be let in the room with a baby AND STILL WAITING NINTY MINUTES PASS APPOINTMENT TIME!!! Explained me how this is normal wait time if you are being charged for being late 10minutes pass appointment! Like WHY BEING SO GREEDY TO SCHEDULE MORE PATIENTS THEN CAN PHYSICALLY HANDLE!!! RIDICULOUS!
Great and compassionate Doctor, friendly and sweet staff which is hard to find, Dr Colon is always very responsive even after hours. Definitely recommend! The Nurse Practicioner is very sweet and kind and extremely knowledgeable, she healed my daughters eczema! I love this practice! Its an hour drive for me from where I live, but totally worth it!
I really like the doctor- it’s nice to find someone who is capable of incorporating different paradigms into their practice. My complaints will never be with Dr Colon Ada. Sadly, what will ultimately deter me from continuing to patron this practice is her down right rude nurses who have next to zero bedside manner and her completely uninformed and once again rude receptionist (all of them) my last encounter the doctor was there and witnessed the complete lack of empathy and frankly knowledge of her front staff. She assured me things were changing and I appreciated her taking the time to speak with me. Still after calling after this incident the front desk staff leaves MUCH to be desired. It’s sad that this woman speak years perfecting her craft and passsion to help children only to have her reputation tarnished by a 20 something year old collecting a check.Bottom line the doctor is great but if the front desk staff doesn’t wise up I’ll take my child and her well being and my hard earned money elsewhere 👋🏻
I am so grateful to find Dr. Colon. She is very warm and knowledgeable and really helped us navigate our care with our newborn twins. I highly recommend!
I didnt even want to give a star to this place! I have been on the phone for 24 mins holding- I call on my work phone they answer and say please hold- I say hey I have you on my cell phone for 22 min now with no response she was like oh we only have one person answering phones and I just got back from lunch so please hold! I called two weeks and the same issue happen being on hold for over 10 min and no answer. I have only taken my son here twice and the front desk are horrible and non professional!!!! You dont keep clients on hold for 22 mins! And not even pick it up and apologize and recognize you- they either need more people working or learn how to handle phones. I would not recommend this place. Time for a new doc
I went to Dr. Colon when my little girl was 1 and half. Loved her & so did my husband, she was super sweet and had excellent recommendations for when my baby was feeling under the weather. But as other reviews I have read, it was her front desk team and nurses who I had several miscommunications with. When I switched doctors and brought my little one for her 2 year old check up her new doctor & nurse had told me my child was given a certain shot that was given TWICE to my daughter. When in reality this shot was suppose to be given only once. I was beyond angry, actually livid. I have not been back to her office since.
Worst place ever! Please do not take your kids here. They are extremely rude. When you call the office they don’t even greet you. You get placed on hold for like 10- 15 mins. I took my kids here because of Dr. Prusutti. Dr. Colon does not even compare to him. He was great but has retired. If you need an appointment, you need to make in a month in advance. Crazy. I switched to Pediatric Assiciates and what a difference. I love it there. They are friendly, accommodating and very professional.
I like Doctor Colon she is caring and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the service is very bad.* Several times when given medicine I have to call many times asking them to send the prescription to the Pharmacy.* Getting the vaccination certificate is a big deal. Almost begging, there is always an excuse why they cannot give it now. Always a delay.* The staff is not friendly. But everything will be fine if not for the lack of communication when an emergency strikes.* Doctor Colon rarely answer the phone when you call her after hours. She will call you the next day.Once I couldnt wait any longer for the doctor to call me back and have to take my daughter to the hospital. She was admitted and stayed there for 2 days...The Doctor call next morning.Unfortunately that was not an isolated incident . Every time after that she always call the next day.I didnt want to change doctors, We loved Dr Presutti but since he is no there anymore we will have to move on too.
I hate to leave a bad review because Dr. Colon is wonderful but the office staff is not so wonderful especially Susan. And the wait is ridiculous. I explained I had changes in my insurance and just became so much of a hassle I decided to pay out-of-pocket for my daughters vaccine which was only $24 then we had to wait because their credit card machine was not working and had to call multiple people then my bank because they put a block on my card because they swiped it so many times. This is not what made me upset what makes me upset is they wouldnt send me a bill for $24 to pay later they had my daughter sitting there with anxiety waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting if this had been the only incident I probably wouldnt leave a bad review but this is been getting progressively worse over the last four years its very disappointing to see a good thing go downhill
There was a full change in staff within the past year. With this, the service has gone downhill. The NPs are very sweet, but it doesnt make up for the unprofessional front desk. I walked in without an appointment, which was extremely rare (I called, but they were apparently on lunch between 12-2 PM although the machine states they are on lunch until 1PM). I was told to go to the hospital, for a stuffy nose. I went to the local urgent care, as I knew it wasnt hospital worthy, and my sons allergies were flared up, Clartin and a nose spray he was all better. For a YEAR every time I call which is generally a few times a year for vaccine records, to make an appointment, and the once a year sick visit. I am on hold for an hour. When you call they say sorry, we have 3 people ahead of you and place you on hold. Really, for an hour and 15 mins straight people are on hold? Always? If you are that busy you either get a more efficient team to work the front, or you hire more people. I have done Pediatric Pharmaceutical Sales, and across over 700 Pediatric Doctors offices in my territory. Coral Springs Holistic beats longest phone hold time. Not acceptable.UPDATE: I called this morning to make a same day appointment and they answered right away, and got my child in early..... not sure if the stars have aligned or what.
If you truly love your child and don’t want to be taken advantage of please don’t take your kid here. Staff is terrible, dr colon herself is incredibly rude. Definitely put our kid in danger coming here
My son Logan Page has been under Dr. Linda Colon-Adames care for 6 years. I must say with her sound advise my son only see her for annual visits and for the occasional cold. Her sound Holistic approach is amazing and I appreciate her educating me when Logan was an new born to sound sold nutritional education on probiotic, multivitamins, and sold food choices.
I love Dr Colon and her staff! She has been my sons prediatrician since I decided to go with the holistic approach after having such a frustrating experience with pediatric associates right after my sons birth. Her and the nurse practitioners are extremely knowledgeable and also helpful when it comes to providing alternative solutions. Ive had my child with fever in the middle of the night and called the Dr., she answered the phone and provided us with instructions on what to do even after hours! Im very grateful for her advices and for taking the time to advice first parents like us who were freaking out after our child first fever. The only thing I may say that I was disappointed is that they get extremely busy sometimes in the office, and the Dr rushes through the monthly checkups. It only happened once to me, but I waited for more than 2 hours to see the Dr, after she walked in saw my baby for 2 mins and walked out. But like I said it only happened once and then the nurse practitioner called me to answer my questions, which made me feel like once again they actually care about the patients. Im extremely happy with this Dr and the nurses, I will recommend her to everyone.
Shes an amazing pediatrician. Always there when you need her. Even on a Saturday night on her free time. Thank you so much for being our babys doctor
If your looking for a true holistic doctor, look elsewhere. Nothing holistic about this doctors office.
I love this woman and am so grateful to have her as my boys Peditrition. She helped my best friends (who is from out of state) son who had a terrible reaction to vaccines which resulted in seizures. She listened and took so much time speaking with us. She gave some wonderful resources and feedback! She genuinely cares for her patients. Best of all she doesnt force vaccines - she leaves that CHOICE up to the parent. The vaccine schedule is not one size fits all and dr Colon recognizes this. thank you Jesus for this amazing dr!
We visited this office last month for my daughters physical for her new school. It was overcrowded, unorganized, poorly run, and dirty. I was running 5 minutes late and called the office as a courtesy. I was told that if I had not arrived by 4:10pm, I would have to reschedule. I did arrive on time and ended up waiting 75 minutes for our appointment. Waiting for 75 minutes without any acknowledgement or apology is absurd. The nurse was very rude, appeared ill, and shared that most of us here are sick right now. The bathroom was dirty with vulgarities written on the wall (apparently, by children). We saw an ARNP (not Dr. Colon) who did not review her chart history and left part of the required form blank. After we left this ridiculous appointment, the office called and asked us to RETURN bc the urinalysis was thrown away and did not have her name on it. We went back. The office called AGAIN after we left to ask about a non important urine test. After 4 years patronizing this office, I will never go back again.
Slower vaccine schedule is an option! Staff is super nice.
I work at a Birth Center in Hallandale as a childbirth educator. I recommend Dr. Colon-Adames to my soon-to-be-parents because of her knowledge about holistic approaches. My only regret is that she does not have an office in South Broward. 👍👍👍👍👍
Good practice looks after our son well. Billing department is OK. Good office NP a little more personal with patients.
Dr. Colon is amazing! Her after hours line goes straight to a cell phone and she ALWAYS picks up. Weve called 4 times, including a Friday at 11pm, and she has always picked up. She has fit my son in numerous times the day of because of a granuloma in his belly button bag because of a throat infection. She is kind, thourough and gentle! I love her as my 10 week olds doctor!
I absolutely Love Dr Colon shenis very sweet and caring. The problem is her office staff they are rude and nasty. On multiple occasions I have had papers snatched from me. Forget about getting medical records they charge you $1 per page when you can get them for free online from there EMR service but the staff will never tell you that. Its really unfortunate after 3 years I have decided to leave this office. If you ever ask to speack to the office manager they will laugh and ignore you. They behavior is truly disgusting and I would not want that around my child.
Knowledge aside, it was the worst/coldest experience I have had at a pediatricians office. The staff was cold and not helpful. In fact the doctor seemed almost unwilling to make contact with my kid ( sick with a cold and eczema). I chose to go to this office bcz of its holistic aspect. I am unsure if they were not knowledgeable on how to deal with people of a certain ethnicity. Last I checked, I AM paying for the requested service...
Dr Colon is a great doctor who always chooses natural treatment when practical but doesnt hesitate to treat with medication when she feels it is necessary and best for the child. She is gentle and never rushes. Because she never rushes a client expect a wait we normally wait around 30 minutes (15 mins in the waiting room, 15 mins in the private room) for the dr and about 20 minutes for her great nurse assistant. We choose not to vaccinate but have in the past and she is very educated in preventative medicine. She always encourages a whole food vitamin, probiotics, cod liver oil, and vitamin c which when given regularly with a healthy diet keeps my kids from rarely getting seriously ill. She also encourages breastfeeding when possible. My daughter had regular ear infections until we switched to Dr Colon and she has only had one now in the 2 years since our switch. She explained me in detail what was going on and actual ways I can treat her without antibiotic when they are not severe. I am so grateful for her. I will say I feel that she need a staff that is as great as she is. Her staff isnt friendly or perky as you would get from other pediatricians, one nurse specifically I will not go to when my daughter needs a blood draw because she was rude to a 3 year old scared of needles but that has little to do with the doctor. Also getting a referral is 50/50 because sometimes they just dont call with the referral so you may need to call a couple times to remind them. As I said Dr Colon is great, her NP that you can also see is wonderful but her staff is lacking. If you are wanting a doctor educated on treating the body naturally when possible Dr. Colon is the best I know in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
I love going to Dr. LInda Colon Adames. Shes thorough, gentle, kind and a believer.
Called me a day before my appointment to tell me they dont accept tricare. Yet I made this appt 2 weeks ago! The woman at the front seat was rude & unapologetic. Fire her. Shes a waste of your money.
Ive been trying 11am to make an appointment today and Ive been put on hold 4 times with no answer. One of those holds was for 10 minutes. As a new customer the first impression counts and this is ridiculous. Just make my appointment.
It is the WORST experience, make a appointment is pointless, I had to wait a hour and half to be attended. We finally saw the Doctor and she just answer three questions and said we have to make another appointment to request a 5 years old well check, After waiting long time, she just saw us for10 minutes with the doctor. A few weeks after we received a statement for $ 120.00 despite of we have insurance. I called many times to the office and no body knew the reason for that charge. After many calls and messages lefts during 2 days, finally the woman of billing department returned my call and said that it was a mistake, the woman of the front desk never verified my insurance. It is the worst experience we have had. Making an appointment is a waste of time. We wait to be attending an hour and a half even when we had an appointment. Finally, the Doctor attended us for 10 minutes, answered three questions to which we questioned and when we asked her to send the child the medical exams to the 5-year-old child, she told us that we had to make another consultation and pay again to request this . After a couple of weeks we got a statement with a balance of $ 120.00 despite we have medical insurance. After calling several times and leaving messages to the billing department, two days later they returned the call to tell us that it had been a mistake that the office person had not completed our documents and had not reported that we have medical insurance.
