The Globe is a top favorite of mine. The decor is unique, drinks are priced well, and they have great entertainment (live music, jazz, etc). Love the Happy Hour too ! Service is amazing! Olivia is the beat bartender!

This place used to be my regular one back in the early 2000 ..I always loved it ! tonight i came back after many years . It brought me good memories! Remanin cozy, classic ..The live band was great with good music, nice crowd, but since we are still under pandemia, the place was packed ! so we decided to sit outside.Service was good, food is Ok. Reasonable prices I would recommend them to have a little more spaces between the tables.

Meh. Portions were generous and drinks were pretty good. Staff was just ok, and the pizza we had for dinner was subpar. Interesting look on the inside, but space was also a little tight.

Great jazz night on Saturday. Food was solid and cocktails are good. Its a nice change from the other bars in the area.

I have hosted several dinner programs at The Globe and I have never been disappointed! The bar ambiance is excellent for pre-dinner drinks and the back room is perfect for program presentations as this has a large TV monitor to view PowerPoint presentations and/or hold virtual meetings. The food is always on point and the customer service is exceptional.

By far the most charming venue in Coral Gables! Great live music, atmosphere and food! I recently had the greatest time at the Globe while enjoying an amazing jazz trio from out of town that was invited to perform. Thank you for keeping the doors open and the live music alive specially during these difficult times! Kudos to the owners!!!!

I had a private event in their lovely party “Black Room”. The layout, menu, food, and service were exceptional. I received many compliments on the quality of the food and drinks from my guests.I’ve also eaten here throughout the years and have never had a less than wonderful meal. I love their funky antique decor. With a live DJ playing, while sitting at a table tucked away in a corner, you can pretend you are in a cafe somewhere in Europe!!

Great food. I tried the fig pizza and the shrimp tostones (just the right amount of spice) both delicious. The staff were very friendly and our waitress Dianet was amazingl. The jazz and the atmosphere reminded me of Europe. Will be back. Good idea to reserve a table before you go as it was very busy.

Wonderful experience last night, January 23, 2021. The latin jazz group that was playing was terrific-both instrumentals and the girl singer. The chicken parmesan was good-not pounded thin and hence meaty and juicy. Our server OLIVIA was wonderful, attentive, although I believe they were understaffed that night, gave us great suggestions for the menu, professional and when we left our phone at the table when we left she ran out after us. Its an intimate venue made sultry with the entertainment. I definitely recommend!

We were there for St Patrick’s day, the manager assisted us as they were very busy maybe they didn’t expect so many people, she and the other ladies were very helpful under all the work they had, The DJ music mix was great too thank you.

Great food and drink.

I ordered take out last night and the food was great. The chicken Waldorf salad was refreshing and the chicken fingers are always tasty and crispy. Also, the conch fritters are as good as any in the Keys, will be back soon!

When on a Saturday night for a drink, didnt know it was Jazz night. They had a young band, pleasantly surprised..

Went on Thursday night to enjoy the wonderful weather. Waitress recommended we try the Pear Ravioli and we were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious. Bartender made our two Negronis to perfection. Great service and food. Highly recommend.

Hosted our intimate destination wedding in the Black Room and were wowed at how nice it was! Lorraine and her team went above and beyond for our group. They were very flexible with our group and even let us bring in a professional pianist for cocktail hour. Guests also enjoyed the food and drinks!While we do wish there was a louder speaker in the room and they were easier to catch via email to coordinate, it all came together and was better than we could have imagined. If you have a private event in Coral Gables, I highly recommend this restaurant!

I recommend The Globe as a place to take in that stocky, peculiar retro-90s trompe-le-monde vision of European-inspired ambiance, enjoy a display of the finer elements of mixology, and tone up with some live jazz on Saturday nights. Sitting at the bar with a view of Velazquez’s famous Mars, defeated and diapered, over one shoulder and the glorious, triumphant flesh of the Sleeping Venus over the other naturally brings out those earthy impulses. The kitchen can take care of some of these, and you can trot your way home after some solid fare like the French onion soup or a salad. Enough said this crisp Fat Tuesday eve.

I love this place. I live right down the street and have enjoyed it for many years. The food is always DELICIOUS, drinks are cold and the ambience is chill. Service is good and they have live jazz music on Saturday nights. Definitely check it out. Order the Globe salad! ;)

Pretty much one of the best date nights I’ve had with my girlfriend. We came to eat and have couple drinks but ended up staying for the calm but at the same time lively atmosphere. The bar reminds me of something lost in time and hard to find in a overly populated and modern city like Miami. The music and food were great (highly recommend the empanadas, dolphin sandwich and bolongnese pasta). From the service to the food quality, everything was pretty damn great. If I lived in walking distance I’d be here all the time.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR MY FOOD FOR AN HOUR! This is completely unacceptable!! And then they cancel my order before closing. How is it that the restaurant is going to wait till it closes to cancel the order? Super unprofessional. Its 10 p.m. on a Saturday night, my family was looking forward to it.This is the worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Immediately recognized that the restaurant mightve been too loud for my noise sensitive sister and let us use the bar room and basically have it to ourselves. Even offering to close the door. Fantastic.

Had a great lunch on Friday. Sandwich special was exceptional. Came out hot and fresh. Side salad cold and crisp. Beer.....frosty, just like you want it. Service was quick and courteous, and management was on top of everything. My man. Can’t ask for more. A definite go-to place for lunch or dinner.

I have had great meals at the Globe when visiting Coral Gables on business, usually lunch.Today was different, although in town on business. I suggested to my business partner that we take lunch at The Globe based on past experience. When we arrived around one oclock the place was empty. Strange. I ordered a Reuben and he ordered the grilled chicken.Service was great and our meals came what seemed a bit delayed considering there were only two other customers. I took the first bite of the Reuben and wow, the corned beef had the texture of beef jerky and had an odd taste despite being loaded with dressing and kraut. The fries were outstanding. I asked my partner how his sandwich was, he said very good. I chalked it up to my taste must be off to my taste being off, but cant wrap my arms around that texture. I have only written comments on restaurants a few times, but directly to the management with the exception of panning Delvecchios in Weston on Yelp.Only writing here as I went to the Globe website and found no Contact Us or way to advise owner that something was amiss, so here it is here.Dont want a response or coupon for another meal, but as a former restaurant owner wanted to know his kitchen today was off and I will try the place next door on my next visit as the bankers across the street raved out it.

Great lunch crowd, food is amazing and good daily’s specials. Definitely a place to check out if you haven’t already and are in the area.

With the lack of establishments offering live jazz in the area, this is a good place to visit on Saturday nights and have a glass of wine while listening to some good jazz from different musicians every week, even though this is only for a couple of hours and you have to seat close to the band to be able to listen, because of loud people not interested in the music (extremely rude) still very enjoyable. Edit: I wish we where a bigger crowd so they would emphasize on jazz on the weekends.

This is one of our favorite Saturday date night spots! It has live jazz every Saturday and the food is terrific!Unlike many of the other places in the area which have changed over the years (and not always for the better) the Globe has maintained a great standard of food and entertainment.

Out of all the restaurants in Coral Gables, The Globe has to be one of my favorites. I always find myself craving their delicious baked Brie and the great customer service is always appreciated!

This place is absolutely stunning, the decor is exquisite and it makes you feel like you’re in Europe. My favorite lunch spot in the gables; the food is fresh and very scrumptious. Even the service deserves five stars, always attentive and very friendly.

First of all the location is great. The people are nice and respectful. I came here as a recommendation and I am glad that I made the visit. The Black & Bleu Burger was out of this world. I hear jazz nights are cool so I will definitely be going back for more!

The BEST place to have a party in Miami. Two gorgeous, exclusive event venues, premium bar, outstanding service and reasonably priced packages. My party was absolute magic thanks to the outstanding staff at The Globe.

Good mix of crowd. Old, young and in between who just love to dance. Back room is warm for dancing but everyone still gets it in.

Weekend jazz, a destination for private functions, a European-inspired theme and an extensive offering of both food and drink options are hard to find in one restaurant. But the family-owned Globe Cafe and Bar in the heart of Coral Gables offers all of the above and so much more.Upon entering The Globe, my family — my husband and son — and I were welcomed immediately by a friendly wait staff and within moments we were escorted to our table. The ambience inside is very inviting, the bistro-style music serving as the ideal complement to the warmth and feel of the main interior of the restaurant. Later, I also peeked inside The Black Room – The Globe’s reservable venue for private events — and was impressed by the layout that allows for fairly well-sized groups to fit comfortably inside.With regard to the meal itself, I ordered the Bahamian Conch Fritters as an appetizer and the Cuban Picadillo Salad for my entrée. Being a fan of conch fritters, I was eager to try The Globe’s rendition, and they definitely lived up to expectations. They were cooked to the right level, and the conch was well-seasoned without being overpowered. The salad was a generous portion, certainly an entrée-sized serving rather than simply functioning as an appetizer. The picadillo – a Cuban staple – was quite flavorful, and the mojo-based vinaigrette dressing and chopped tostones “croutons” were both tasty and intelligent additions.Inside, The Globe’s Euro-themed inspiration comes to life with scenic portraits and a colorful interior. It is a cute little spot. The food is good and a full bar means plenty of drink options.There is a private room for rent for special occasions.The music is the draw, lots of Jazz. Look for the calendar for the who and when.They have a popup called one burger. Since its now been there for years, I thinks its pretty much popped up and now a regular restaurant there. Burgers for lunch and the weekends, and they are good.Good variety of people go here, check it out if you want something new.
