Had a better diagnosis and fix price than anywhere else I called but I made sure to check reviews and was not disappointed with them at all.In fact not only did they figure out and fix my issue in a reasonable time frame (1 1/2 weeks total, but considering how many cars were out there frankly I am happy with how fast they got the part in, installed and the rest of the car checked out.The staff in person and on the phone, no matter who I talked too, were not only polite and professional but darn friendly and did everything they could to help me get this fixed.I immensely appreciate their hard work, clean shop and front, clean bathrooms, cold drinks on a HOT day(s) and just all around good work. It was a good, modern experience utilizing email, text and websites in a direct and easy as heck to use format.At the end of the day I’m extremely happy for a number of practical and QoL reasons and will be returning here for any future work I require.

I needed a new condenser for my GMC Sierra and they came through. Not only were they timely, they also provided the best price in the area. On top of that they provide a discount for prior military. Highly recommend. A/C is blowing cold and now I’m ready for the hot summer.

Not sure of the sweethearts name at the front but I loved her personality. I took my moms car there which was recommended by Discount Tire in Copperas Cove for an alignment. It needed one after I had a little run in with the u-turn at W.S. and 14/190W. Ill leave the other event to myself as to why the car danced across 190 at its own free will. Quoted a price before service, paid that price after service was completed. Ill be back, not sure if thats good or bad, lol.

The first time I came was back in November and they were trying to troubleshoot my misfires on my vehicle. They ended up replacing my spark plugs at no charge and even though they spent 3 days on my vehicle they charged me only for an hour of labor since they couldnt find what was wrong with it. Today, I came in after finding out it was a flywheel issue and tried to have it replaced and Bruce (owner) suggested it would be cheaper to get it tuned. He went as far as searching for another reputable company to save me money even though he was going to lose out on a service. This is and always has been a place that values their customers and puts honesty and integrity above making money.

They were so nice and very accommodating. Pleasant area to wait for your vehicle. The wait was not that long.

Surprised the heck out of me...so case you need to get the Texas Inspection for registration... Texas Discount Auto does it for free. My husband called in the morning they did my inspection right after lunch. Everyone was kind and quick.

Its never good to break down. Especially in an old VW camper van and miles away from home. But thats what I did when I decided to go on a camping trip from Dallas and broke down in Inks State Lake State Park. Not knowing anything about the area, and after a reassuring phone call to Lori, I had my van towed to Texas Discount Automotive. What a nice bunch of people they are. As much as I love working on my vehicles there are some things I know better than to attempt. Going to a mechanic shop puts me on the defense and I question everything. But I will tell you I did not have that experience with Bruce and his team. These guys were awesome! I was preparing for a long trip and I suspected my rack and pinion on my RAM was leaking and they confirmed it was. They did an awesome job on replacing it. I got the Half Rack replaced, (no tie rods needed). They kept me informed of the progress on the repair and checked everything else to make sure all was good. The alignment tech they have was spot on. Showed me the printout of the allowed tolerances, the before and after! He got it well under the MAX allowed. That guy is precise and dedicated! They also showed me the old rack and it was worse than I suspected. Saved me 1,000.00 on having to buy a new set of tires. I am extremely happy with their services and you could not ask for better. Very polite and honest people to work with. I will not go to another shop in the future and I will be bringing my next vehicle to them. Thank you so much! I was having some sort of short with my temp gauge that caused truck to surge at times. For two years I fought with the issue. I replaced over 500 dollars in sensors without results. I’m a shade tree mechanic so I finally had enough and took it to TDAutomotive. I’m not saying that other shops couldn’t have repaired my truck. WOW. What an amazing place. I normally do my own work on vehicles but even I get lost and stuck. Brought in my tahoe that decided it was going to act all crazy and I was at the end of my rope with it. Brought it here and they figured it out in minutes. I’m competent with my vehicles but these folks are the real pros. Very friendly staff, family run environment.

I came in with a cooling problem on my car. I was told it would cost 3,000.00 to fix but it was recommended that I not spend that much because it would mess up again. Then he suggested that I put a product in the radiator that cost 20.00 and would probably work just as well. It did!! Any shop that turns down 3,000.00 and suggests a 20.00 fix that works, is my mechanic FOR LIFE!!

I just moved to the area and had always been treated well by the Ford dealership in CA. However after getting a $1400.00 dollar estimate for brake repair (which I paid $150.00 for from Auto Max) I called Texas Discount Automotive for a second opinion. They reviewed the estimate and gave me their estimate for $870.00 (same work). Here is the kicker after taking my truck into them for the work they did an inspection and found that all that was unnecessary. They corrected the problem. How about this they waived the fee. My first reaction was to thank God, the second was to say thank you to Lori, Megan and Chris. Not only have you made this old man happy you have a a friend, and now have an out spoken customer for life. WOW!! This is premier customer service at its best. Thank you so very much...

After taking my vehicle to a different mechanic and being told that it was a rear main seal leak, I decided to contact this location for a second opinion. Megan was very professional and nice, she suggested to do a diagnostic to make sure what it was. I went in personally and after speaking with Bruce he told me he thinks it’s something different and to do the diagnostic. Thankfully I went with their suggestion and I was able to get my car fixed and finding out that it was not the rear main seal it was something else.My car was ready in two days and I am very satisfied with their work. I am glad I found a trustworthy place I can bring my vehicle in.

We had a mobile mechanic come out and he jacked up our car. We took it to Texas Discount and they diagnosed and repaired it. They made sure it was running properly before handing it back to us. I have been to Texas Discount Automotive twice and have been very happy with their knowledge, honesty, and commitment to a fair price and great experience.Firestone wanted to charge 2600$ for a Rack and Pinion on my truck. I ended up getting it towed to Texas Discount Automotive and for the rack and pinion and a bunch of other things. Turns out I didnt need to replace it, and they fixed everything else quickly and for a fair price. Saved me thousands. Always go with Texas Discount Automotive!On another occasion over the weekend i went to to Bates Nissan to get an airbag checked and was charged 115$ diagnostic fee sight unseen. I was told after the diagnostic that I needed to spend 300-500$ to replace 1-2 parts at the front of the engine compartment behind the grill. this also included a mildly rusty bracket that didnt need to be replaced. I denied the repair and took it to get a second opinion at an honest shop, Texas Discount Automotive. They found nothing wrong with my airbag system. Im glad I went elsewhere and didnt get screwed by the dealer. Save the diagnostic fee an go to Texas Discount Automotive to start with!!! Zero stars for Bates Nissan.

I would definitely recommend Texas discount automotive. One place was quoting me 5100 to $7400 to fix my transmission. They were able to get my car fixed and it only ended up being $1736. I will not be taking my car anywhere else.

We had our clutch replaced here. That’s obviously a more expensive and time intensive job. Texas Discount Automotive got it done extremely fast, even with the holiday. They were kind enough to work around our schedule as well. I really appreciate their wonderful customer service, pricing, and quality of the work done. The owner is not customer friendly at all when you have a problem. I took my car there more than three times and it seems they fixed the problem initially but created another problem for me to continue bringing my car there. When they see a person that don’t have no problem paying for their bill, they create a problem so you are always bringing your car to get fixed. Don’t ever take your car to this shop. The service sucks, the owner is not customer professional at all and the workers don’t know what they are doing. I give this shop a 0 out of 10

First of all the service manager was very rude. When I got my car back the engine was still making noises and I had to bring it back again. This is after they had the car for a week and a half. Also when I got my car back the anti skid light was left on and they tried to charge me to turn it of when it originally wasn’t on. Service manager also tried to charge me extra after I had already paid a deposit. Be careful.

Honest and fair. I brought my 08 Furnace (Ford Expedition) in for an AC diagnostic. While waiting for the service to be completed I heard several people call and they told them it is recommended but not necessary. I dont know of to many places that will shoot you straight like that. I was originally told that I was going to need some major repair to fix my vehicle but once they got underneath vehicle to start the repairs, they noticed it would not need it after all. You cant say that you hear that from an automotive shop. Price quoted for the job was above $750 but it turned out to be work done for less than $40. Im a firm believer in Honesty and this place has won my continued and countless future visits for me and my whole family.
