My fiance and I decided to try Flappers for lunch. When we walked in the atmosphere was pleasant and clean. My first impression of the customer service wasnt great. When we walked up to the counter, there was nobody around to greet us. We waited. When finally noticed, our order was taken with irritation. I felt like I was bothering the employee. Come to see, after taking our order, she was right out that door, as her shift was obviously over.We ordered the Chicken Panini with a side salad and an extra cup of soup, the lentil bacon. Oh my Goodness, the food was FANTASTIC. It brought my overall opinion back up there. The chef was the one to bring out our food and she was extremely pleasant. She even chased after us down the block when we left sunglasses at the table.Great atmosphere, great (almost) service, and excellent food!
Great food & friendly service! Very clean & comfortable eating area. Napkin dispenser & fresh flower at each table. Your choice of seating with plenty of tables. Restroom was quite clean & nicely decorated. Great place for a leisurely bite to eat or just a coffee / tea with friends or by oneself. Afterwards, enjoyed browsing the NUMEROUS rooms of vintage & antique pieces in the adjacent Old City Hall Antiques.
I am a regular at Flappers. It is an art deco decorated coffee house with plenty of antiques from that era. Period music plays at a just right volume in the background. They prepare a great cappachino with thick foam. My favorite meal is their taco soup and bread. The crew is friendly and the manager, is a saint.
I still dream about this place, when I lived on Coos Bay I would come here on my off time and soak in the atmosphere. It had just opened and the owners and employees were very kind to me. I won a free cup of coffee by spotting the mystery mug and posting it on their facebook page, but their coffee is so good all I wanted was a simple cup of coffee, I wish I remembered what it was because as Ive travelled around the US I miss whatever coffee it was that I had here
Great place, good drinks love the atmosphere and variety of music. Not the same old cover bands that are at every other public event
Great relaxing and gathering spot with history galore! Coos Bay is graced with a place like this. Good coffee too!
Steak sandwich is impossible to eat without falling apart because of the flank steak, ask for a steak knife if ordering the steak sandwich because they dont give you one automatically. The salad could have used some chopping as it was a lot to put in my mouth at once. Was kind of overpriced for what I got.
Good coffee but light on food offerings. Food was ok. Go for the coffee. Great service too!
Great atmosphere. Staff was attentive. Good prices
Nice relaxing place to get a cup of tea. Always love to visit.
Cute coffee shop! Art deco theme, delicious coffee selections and lunch specials.
Great little hole-in-the-wall coffee house, absolutely love there salted caramel chai. Great decor and friendly staff.
Great food, awesome music and what goes better with music and food than coffee? Truste this place is good.
Just attended a 90th birthday luncheon celebration at Flappers Coffee House. Food & service was excellent. Definitely recommend.
This elegantly furnished with the finest Art Deco antiques, coffee house has great service to go with great coffee, pastries and lunch. Prices are average.Located in the Historical Old City Hall this has a prime location. And antique lovers will love the display of antiques that are accessible thru the coffee house into the Old City Hall. Must see to believe or expierience!
Possibly the best chai tea latte Ive ever had... Also an elegant yet relaxing atmosphere
The white chocolate Carmel coffe was good. And the scone was interesting
Not impressed. Atmosphere felt cheap and coffee was subpar.
I love the food, the coffee, and ambience and feel; it was all so perfect to sit down and enjoy a coffee and a quick bite in a quiet, reserved environment. And the pictures of a time long gone really add to the nostalgia of the place and the building its in.
Seems to be under new management. Friendly staff. Nice ambiance.
Decent food/prices. Neet antiques to look at before and/or after a meal.
Nostalgic coffee house attached to a museum type antique store.
What a wonderful place. I love the nostalgic decor.
Really nice staff. I dont drink coffee, but I stopped in for a breakfast burrito. Would eat there again.
Perfect! Retro 1930s style coffee house, great decor and ambiance.
Such a unique coffee house. Love the coffee too!
Fun atmosphere with a whiskey and wine bar upstairs. They often have live bands and the owners are very friendly and come to the tables to get to know you and share their story with you.
The bartenders are amazing and the atmosphere is spot on, not a place to get rowdy but more to have a few drinks with friends and a good conversation, love going here and the live music is awesome.
Friendly service. Great locals hangout!!! A must see!
Smells like mildew, sketch health department report, doesnt follow state and federal laws about alcohol, employment law, or health codes. owner literally attempted to stab me.
Great atmosphere and delicious pineapple cider and appetizers. 😊
