Lisa is consistently one of the rudest people when it comes to customer service. I was in her store 2 yrs ago and she was rude and sarcastic. I unfortunately had to go there again today and there she was as rude as ever. I had to ask for a receipt and she acted so put out. Avoid this place!
Today is New Year’s Day and UPS is closed. Good for them! Retail work is difficult and it’s nice when there’s a day when you know you won’t be called into work.These stores (like UPS or FEDEX) make most of their money by offering SERVICES like packaging. It’s like buying food at the movies. If no one buys popcorn at the movies, then you get sticky floors and REALLY dirty bathrooms (as the largest expense in retail is employees).I use this store A LOT to return stuff to Amazon so I usually walk in and just drop the package - even if they’re busy. If I decide not to print a return label, the staff at the Riverdale location has always been friendly and fast!!! (I’ve been to other locations where the line is ALWAYS OUT THE DOOR).Retail is a tough gig. The employees are usually paid pitifully to serve and tolerate a public that has never worked an hour of retail in their lives and demands expert service in less than 3 minutes. To the general public reading this - when you go into a store, try being friendly and patient. Teach your own children how to behave while at work. I’ve always had a saying - everyone deals with loads of stress everyday. You can either laugh or cry. Either way helps release that stress but laughing usually makes your surroundings better while crying leads to anger and makes you a ‘not so pleasant’ person to be around. And if you do encounter unfriendly employees - call the store and talk to the manager. You’ll get your issue resolved much faster than just posting in online. Most retail employees are great but there are some that refuse to smile or even say hello or thank you. Trust me, they won’t be there long.Thank you UPS for having retail stores open and available so I don’t have to drive all the way over to a main depot to drop off my package (especially if I have no clue what I’m doing) or have to call UPS, wait on hold for 20 minutes to set up a pick up (like we had to do prior to 2000). No one seems to mind when those big brown trucks show up one day after they order something. God bless everyone!!
The 2 stars is due to inconsistent pricing. I had 33 pages printed, double sided, black and white. They said $52. I was in there a month ago and checked, 20 pages cost $13. They were gracious and gave me a better rate as I had already had it printed.But folks, there is no one who charges over a buck a page for black and white, that is the price of color.Staff is good but prices are horrible. Go elsewhere for printing.
Great staff, super helpful and very professional. Today an elderly gentleman refused to wear a mask as everyone else was doing to prevent the spread of COVID and was asked to leave. The manager did a great job keeping calm under pressure before the police came. Also did a great job consoling the woman that was in tears. Shipping my package also only took a couple minutes.
We showed up at 3:04 p.m. on a Saturday, and the staff never mentioned that they were technically closed. They were courteous, efficient, and respectful--- Thank you.
I wanted to give a huge shout out to Lisa and Andy. They went completely above and beyond in regards to a situation with a freight shipment. I ship several packages each week and I go out of my way to go to this store because they take great care of my packages. I would highly recommend using this store.

Extremely rude staff. The staff seems to hate their job and dealing with customers. The wont even offer you a receipt for your shippings unless you ask for it. This place needs to re-evaluate the reason why theyre in business.
I always bring complicated issues to this store and each time, Lisa and Andy have been awesome! They are pleasant, professional and very patient regardless of what my situation is. They always seem to know what I need before I even ask. If I could give more stars, I would!
Was there the other day and had an awesome experience. The manager of the store went above and beyond to assist me in my returns to Amazon (who were giving me the run around.) He spoke to Amazon rep on the phone to explain what I needed to ship and even convinced them to give me money for packaging that I shouldnt have paid for. Will definitely be back! Thanks for all your help!

No clue why so many negative reviews... Im always in and out of here. Staff is super knowledgeable and always meets my needs. Will you be charged for them to tape up your box? Yes. But if they taped up 350 boxes that get dropped off a day Id be waiting 10 minutes to process my return. Grow up. Tape your stuff people. Its a small business, not owned by UPS.

UPS is like the worse option to FedEx. It is the least consumer friendly option as far as shipping and this store is no exception. If given the choice, always pick FedEx. There is always a long wait at all UPS locations even if you just want to drop something off that is all ready to go. Not to mention I think being rude and unhelpful is a qualification of being f an employee if UPS. I rarely dislike UPS.

Ive always had quick and friendly service. No problems and always reasonable pricing. I usually prefer to ship large item through here as its a lot more affordable then the competition.
Staff are polite and fast. Never much of a wait and location is convient too. Very satisfied with no complaints after many stops here.

I have never been to a UPS store before. I walked in and the employee took my 2 items and boxed them up immediately. I thought, wow that was easy! Then she gave me a total and i said, Its supposed to be free shipping. She said i was paying for packaging. Ummm excuse me but shouldnt i be advised of that BEFOREHAND?! And i have never felt so ripped off, $20 for 2 cardboard boxes just to ship a pair of shoes and a curling iron? Are you kidding me. Never again!!!
Dont expect any service here. The employees here are basically post office boxes, as in they cant help in any way, shape, or form other than receiving packages All I wanted was to have my packages shipped to this location since the UPS driver wouldnt leave them at my apartment and that task was far to difficult. I cant wait until these people are replaced by robots so at least I wont be disappointed in their inabilities and lack of customer service.

Returning stuff to amazon, I brought in two boxes and the labels. One of the boxes was sealed, the other was packed but had not taped it closed. They charged me $1.00 to tape it. I was already paying $8 each to ship these things from MN to IL, and they still charged me for 24 inches of tape? It wasnt worth the gas to go home, but I will be buying packing tape somewhere else so that doesnt happen again. I should have charged it so they had to pay the fee... absurd policy.
Every time I’ve been here, the same man has been rude - even when I’m just dropping off packages that are ready to go. Incredibly inattentive, short tempered and flat out nasty.If you’d like to know why I have three Amazon returns in three packages, you can ask Amazon, because even though I put them together when I requested the return, thats how they did it. Do I look like the CEO of Amazon? No.If I wanted someone rude to handle my outgoing packages, I’d let my USPS carrier take them.I’d rather pay for a UPS pickup at my house than deal with this guy. Go elsewhere.
If you bring items they literally charge you for any little thing. Pack and tape your own box and send it off. The location isnt super busy but seems short staffed.
My 79 year old mom went to this store to ship us a box of cookies. They charged over $45 and totally took advantage of her. The shipping cost was $24, and the rest was supposedly the cost of the box and labor. My mom had no idea it would cost this much. Yes, she could have walked out, but she already brought in her things. I shipped boxes with UPS for years with my internet company. I know the cost of boxes and the cost to ship a package 2 states away. This store over-charges and takes advantage of people. I called to complain and was basically told my mom wasnt forced to pay and could have taken her things back home. The store told me the size of the box they sold her which is ridiculous for what she shipped. Then they charged a huge fee for packing peanuts to fill the extra space.
The ability to provide customer service is sad. I was assisted be the owner of the store but forgot to tape the box. Found it necessary to charge 50 cents for a 6 piece of tape. What kind of customer service is that? I will never attend this store again.

This place really is unwelcoming. The two same staff members (male and female (manager) ) are really not very helpful. I feel like that staff is rude and dont really enjoy their job. I also feel like they watch you as if youre going to steal and make it very obvious that they are watching you.( Im not going to steal large shipping boxes mam).
They will nickel and dime every chance that they get. Not a fan.

Guy named Drew, wouldnt give me his last name was the most negative sounding person Ive ever spoken to on the phone. Should be fired. Will go to a different UPS.
They need to teach their staff nor to discriminate, all potential customers should be helped with a smile not only Americans, dollars have the same value no matter who uses them. crabby people can slowly bring a business down.
If they werent so rude and practically annoyed at my existence Id give them more stars.

Most of the negative reviewers on here assume just because they bring a package in the store will take care of it free of charge whether it needs tape, a box, etc.....supplies cost money, tape your own box, seal your own envelope, print out your amazon receipt and tape the darn thing on the box...bring it into this store, hand it to them, walk away, never had one issue with them.
I was returning my stuff to Dish and couldnt find my packing tape. Figured no biggie Ill ask them to tape it up quick when I get there like USPS and FedEx. And the guy goes ok that will be $2 I laughed thinking it was a joke. Are you effing kidding me. 2 bucks for maybe 3 feet of tape between both boxes?? Dumbest policy ever. And if I didnt have the $ he said I could return with the money or the boxes taped. I wont be using UPS for ANYTHING!!
