I would give 0 stars to Gary Hockert if it were an option. My family had been with Farmers insurance from the 70s. Gary became my personal agent on my vehicle since I got my license. Bills always payed in full to him. With a hit and run accident I was literally laughed at by Gary over the phone and sent into MONTHS of hoops in being questioned about it actually being a hit and run and what they would cover and tried to NOT cover. Also tried to run the accident as 2 separate claims to try and get 2 deductibles for the same accident. When asking on a public forum for suggestions/input on switching insurance Garys WIFE actually came at me and responded to the thread. The last renewal sent states to pay around $1,100 for 6 months of coverage. The new group Im switching to I will have the exact same coverage as with Farmers and even some additional coverage, have a lower deductable should accidents actual happen AND somehow the cost is around $700 12 MONTHS of coverage instead of only 6. (Mind you the new group has a 6 month option also....however I decided on paying the 12 months in full.) I do hope those who have insurance with him really read their renewals as random changes to coverage can and did occured without him notifying us and also hope those who have him as an agent have a far better experience than me and my family have. Loyalty does not matter when dealing with people like Gary who feel they are royalty.
