First let me express how professional Derrick was throughout the process of booking my rental.So State farm reserved this rental due to an not at fault accident. Once they pulled my cargo rental around to the front the first thing I noticed is that the van wasnt washed, no biggie because Im using it for work. However Hertz rented Mr a van that wasnt cleaned on the inside. View pictures below. I have tried calling them on three occasions to complain and to tell them that the van is due for an oil change because its indicated when you turn the van on.I also noticed that they have charged my credit card $50, for what I dont know..

Mr. Omar Carter went above and beyond to accommodate my family and put us in a vehicle with sufficient size. He communicated and was empathetic to our unique needs. Our rental was for 41 days and his service and staff was top notch from day one to the end. 5 star service. Will only rent from him moving forward.

Hi, I will first say the actual RENTAL process was quick and easy. HOWEVER my rental was NOT clean and ready when I arrived. After completing my paperwork, I waited an additional 10-15 mins you my reservation was at 9:00 at 9:45 I was still waiting on a Van that I eventually had to tell them don’t worry about cleaning because I had to go. I’m not sure why the van wasn’t cleaned prior to my arrival it wasn’t a last minute reservation; so I should have been cleaned.There was dog or cat hair in the van, it had a old mildew smell. It was just awful. I just hung up with customer service and they offered me a $50 certificate off my next rental or 500 points… first off I never signed up to be a rewards member. And what will $50 do on a rental. I don’t plan on ever using this place again.IF I RECEIVE A CALL OR A REFUND I WILL COMEBACK ON HERE AND UPDATE THIS REVIEW BUT, for now… I won’t be going back.

Avoid this place at all cost. I had a prepaid reservation for a truck to be picked up on 7/10/2021. On 7/9/2021 at 4:30 pm I called twice to make sure I was good to pick up the vehicle the next day. I should have known there were going to be issues when no one answered the phone after letting it ring for a minute each time. Also the have no way of you leaving a message. The next morning I called at 9:10 am once again no one answers the phone. I ordered a Lyft to take me to the Hertz office at a cost of $27. Upon arrival at the office I spoke to Omar who I believe is a manager. Omar informed me that they did not have any trucks. He said that a customer was supposed to have returned a vehicle but they had not returned it yet. My response was why didnt you call me a let me know before I spent $27 coming here and wasting my time. His response was they were busy helping other customers. So replied why didnt someone answer the phone when I called yesterday and prior to heading to the office to get the truck. Once again Omars response was we were busy helping customers. I then asked Omar is there someone who could give me a ride home since through no fault of my own I didnt have a ride. He said he didnt have anyone who could take me.The poor excuses given by Omar was a clear sign that he should not be in management. This place is run very unprofessionally and Hertz should immediately clean house. Rent from this place at your own risk.

I reserved a car at this location for 9:30am. I arrived a little late (less than an hour) and they gave the car away. I was then told the wait for another car was an hour an a half. Basically, they were out of cars. When I pulled up, the lot was empty so there was nothing available to begin with. It was my birthday and they basically ruined it.

0 STARSVery unprofessional!!!!! They never answer the phone... And when they do they will put you on hold several times before they attempt to accommodate your needs. If you answer to put me on hold(SEVERAL TIMES) you could accommodate services. Very fast and multi tasking environment, therefore there shouldnt be a new hire answering the phone and not know what to say or do at a high volume location as such. I would not recommend... At all

This place is horrible…. I picked up the rental on Thursday and returned the car on Monday 8/9 and they never closed out my account and I have people calling me telling me that The car is long overdue for return when they took the keys out of my hands and never closed out the account. Never again.

This is great car rental place all the staff is nice and they are working hard and at a fast paced. They have a lot of patience because a lot of the customers that go here are RUDE and talk to the staff very bad. I don’t know how they do it but they continue to work hard. I applaud this place not just for great service but for also dealing with horrible customers!

Today was yet another great experience at Hertz in Conyers. I cant say enough wonderful things about Omar and his staff! They are always professional, efficient, and accommodating. They treat every customer like they would want to be treated and its always such a joy to pick up my rental. Does the process take a few minutes of your time? Yes, as does anything on which you spend your money. Do you have to wait outside at times? Yes, because were in the middle of a pandemic and germs are easily spread in small spaces; be thankful they care about your health. Is it sometimes raining, too hot, or too cold? Omar is good, but he cant control the weather. Are some customers a bit difficult (you know, because they were asked for their ID or insurance info) and in turn caused you an even longer wait? We all have bad days, but that doesnt mean you deserve a free rental. Believe the positive comments. These guys are awesome!!!

I never heard of Hertz until I got into a car accident and my insurance State Farm got me a reservation for a car. First experience was okay and was able to find a decent car, and for some reason when I returned the car, washed and fully tank, they still charged my card for $100. Since It was an okay experience, I went back again because me and my family were looking for a midsize suv… we made a reservation and took an Uber there just to find out that they don’t have anymore left all they have are large SUVs. I asked them, is there anything else? No everything is already taken. The waiting was long and there were two people up front and a women sitting down. We receive very little help and the person that was helping us abandon us to talk to customers coming in. The attitude was not friendly either. We left with a bad taste in our mouth and that will be the last time. Went to enterprise that same day, made a reservation and was able to pick a good car and customer service was excellent. Enterprise is a bit expensive but it was a good experience. Don’t recommend Herzt to anyone. Horrible place.

We were sent to Manager Omar Carter by our dealership (who has been servicing our truck for 3.5 weeks). The first car wasn’t large enough and Mr. Carter made some calls and secured what we thought would be a 3rd row; it wasn’t. I went back a few days later and he made it happen for us. It’s July 4th weekend so I know they were overwhelmed and he physically looked tired, but he cared enough, which is hard to find these days. If he hadn’t gone above and beyond, we wouldn’t have had a vehicle. I’ll rent all my cars from him and his staff moving forward.

I went to pick up my vehicle 4-24-21 and my rep for that day and my drop off 4-27-21 day fast great customer service clean place and vehicles. Followed COVID guidelines. Some would say not great for me I was treated like a memeber. Very satisfied and will continue to rent threw hertz. Price was great like always. I never have to worry about being over charged. Thank you for yaw service. Great Job. Needs a promotion or raise. Both would be highly recommend. Thank you my pick up rep and drop off rep.

Sorry but they have too many down sides. Theyre overpriced for starters. They hold a $500 deposit if you pay with your debit card. Then they dont have the cars already clean and ready to go. They wait until the customers gets there and pays for the rental then makes them wait while the car is put in line to be cleaned. Very inconvenient and the wait was way too long. Then they never answer the phone. It just rings til they hang up on you, so if you have an issue with the rental you cannot even get in touch with them. I rent from Enterprise regularly but they were sold out, so I tried Hertz. Big mistake, Id rather take UBER. I wont be using them again. I never had so many issues with Enterprise.

Awful experience, multiple instances of unprofessionalism, rudeness, and lies. At one point an agent who I spoke with the day before to confirm told me after i already had a reservation that they were first come first serve and there was nothing available! And that’s After i waited 40 mins past my pickup time waiting on them. BEWARE, their cheap prices come with awful service.

Had to wait outside in a line. Somewhat understandable in a COVID environment but in the winter it would be great to have maybe a check in system so you could stay in your car.We had a paid reservation but evidently our car wasn’t ready or there. We had to wait for a car to be returned and cleaned.Skip this local spot and get a rental from the airport.

The location needs a remodel immediately, and not just the building the customer service as well. The manager Omar, is definitely not a man of his word. If he tells you he is going to do something, HAVE HIM PUT IT IN YOUR NOTES ON YOUR ACCOUNT PER HERTZ CUSTOMER SERVICE. Make sure you get a receipt when you turn in the car and keep all your paperwork even the gas receipts. Because the manager Omar will charge your card whatever he wants. Super shady manager. It took over an hour to get a rental car, the cars are not ready onsite. Instead of being closed on Saturday, my suggestion is on Saturday take that time to clean the cars, put gas in the cars, do repairs to the cars and get them ready for customers for the next week. My experience is to never rent from Hertz. I will stay with ENTERPRISE RENTAL. WORST EXPERIENCE.

Did not like this place, the building needs renovation. The person who picked us up did not wear a mask, at all. He was also the person to assign us a vehicle. We had a reservation that meant nothing when we arrived. We had to take what was left. All younger employees were professional and wore their masks.

Very shady business. My insurance got me a rental through the worst rental company ever, poor customer service. The key was locked out in the car and i called and called from 8am to 10:30 am with no answer, it took a call from statefarm to them x3 to get an answer. When i finally got through to them they said i have to pay for emergency roadside assistance $75 because i had declined the service, i did no such thing since it wasnt offered on signup. This is through statefarm and no one told them that the service wasnt needed, if i had a choice i would not hve done business with them.Then the guy said he thought i already had it with statefarm which i do but it doesnt cover rentals only personal vehicles, of this they are very much aware, there are more than one review on here with the same issue, where they abuse rental customers . On reading their reviews i realize that they are intentionally doing this to get money from customers by declining roadside assistance service without informing the customer, then saying you declined service when it was NEVER offered. They ended up calling tripleA off of my statefarm insurance as a subcontract then charged me extra for a service that did not cost them anything. Very shady business, beware beware.

In all the years I have rented a vehicle, I have never been treated in the manner that this business treated their customers. This was my first time ever renting from hertz... my insurance as well as personally I have always rented from Enterprise. At this point I will keep it that way. State Farm uses Hertz for car replacement. I had to pick a vehicle up as a result of damage to my vehicle. My first experience was the lack there of of someone answering the phone. I just chalked it up to them being busy. I proceeded to the location with Lyft. When I arrived there was only one person there helping customers. I waited and two other customers came up. When the other two workers came in they immediately went to other customers as though I had not been standing there for 10 min. My look on my face prompted the worker to ask had I been helped... I stated no... he then had another worker to process me out. We walked around vehicle...no damage. He told me to note gas level... I looked it was a half tank. I proceeded on. I had not been driving long before the tire gauge came on... I went to call to report but locating was closed. I proceed to put air in tire at QT and wait til in morning. I tried to call location the very next morning as well as the reservation number... no answer. I then Google location only to see that they were closed on weekends.... well I didnt understand why a rental place would be closed on weekends but I figured it was because of Covid. So I waited til Monday morning only driving if necessary. Each time I had to put air bk into tire. I called 1st thing Monday morning.... I was so hurt. The manager accused me of damaging the tire because he said the vehicle was fine before it left. I explained everything I previously wrote and he said well you are still responsible... I explained I had not even driven vehicle long b4 light came on...still you are responsible.... he said you declined additional coverage...I stated I was never asked... I assumed 🙄 ( I talked responsibility for assuming) that because it was through state farm that was the process. I also explained the gas half full versus full situation... he stated I should have noticed b4 leaving.... ummm the paperwork was completed b4 I even looked at gas... plus when I noticed I tried to car bk to correct and you guys were closed.The conclusion.... I wrote this because shady location... I wont take it as the overall Hertz corporation.... I reported to my insurance State Farm for them to deal with the situation. I returned their vehicle and State Farm set me up a new reservation at a different rental company. So disappointed 😞. Taking from others is not a good business representation or practice. I do not recommend this location at all.

I would not recommend anyone renting here! I wanted to make sure they had the car I had made a reservation for. They assured me when I checked ahead of time they would have it. Guess what?! They did not. I found the employee I spoke to very unfriendly, who also offered no solution. Thankfully, Enterprise, in short notice, came through. And please dont reply with asking me to contact you through Facebook. I dont need to be placated after the fact. You put me in a real bind.

We had been in an accident and were getting a rental car on the at-fault partys insurance. They (State Farm) set up the rental. Since our damaged vehicle is a small pick-up, we requested a similar vehicle, but we were advised to call ahead to reserve a pick-up as the rental. I called Hertz the evening before needing the rental and they ordered one for us. We arrived at the rental office around 5:45pm (they close at 6:00pm). We were greeted with news that they didnt have a pick-up for us. Obviously, I challenged this and was told that since I had not picked it up earlier, they rented it to someone else. Pressing the clerk was met with constant answers of we will try when I demanded a replacement for the next day. I insisted this answer was not acceptable, and the clerk walked off, being replaced by the manager, who promptly released another pick-up to us, properly blaming himself for not telling the clerk about the pick-up being returned earlier in the day. The one major issue here is the pick-up being specifically reserved for us, then to have it given to another customer. The issue of us not being there earlier in the day holds no water since the only discussion of time was my query about when they closed.I would never recommend this rental outlet, as I also would never recommend State Farm as an insurance carrier for any reason. That is another story for a different posting. It goes without saying these two companies are made for each other.

If there was a 0 rating, thats what they should have gotten. When I called, I was put on endless hold. So I drove 10 miles to get there twice and they were too busy to even answer a question. Had a reservation for the upcoming Saturday. Was 15 min late (and within the timeframe they said was OK) to pick up my minivan so even though they were open and there were 4 staff there, they told me they had already turned off their computers and to come back on Monday. I looked around the lot and they didnt even have a minivan on the lot. So they couldnt have rented it to me anyway.Unfortunately I had to have the vehicle for a trip leaving early Sun., so this pushed my trip up north back a day (meaning Id have to return from up north in a snow storm) and rearrange my travel plans.On Monday I came back 15 minutes before they opened. Even though it was 20 degrees they made me stand outside until exactly 8 AM. I did all the paperwork, deposit etc. and then they told me they didnt even have any minivans but that SUVs are the same thing. I told them I owned a SUV but reserved a minivan because I was hauling cargo and needed the cargo space. They said they might have one come back around 4:00 Monday night, not sure. Said they dont check their reservations to be sure they have the right vehicles on the lot when the customer arrives. By now my trip was delayed 2 days and just about ruined.I ended up cancelling the Hertz reservation and going down the street to Enterprise, who quickly and efficiently got me on the road in a minivan within 30 minutes of my arrival. Shame on you Hertz, good for you Enterprise. You know where my (and all my friends) business is going in the future.

This is the worst Hertz location ever. The location is a house turned into a rental office. The parking is horrible. There were two reps. One washing the cars and the other checking in and out customers. The line was long. Although i reserved a car weeks in advance...I had to wait for a return car. None were available. An hours wait. Regardless, gold members are priority. If there are no cars...oh well. You are out of luck. A customer was so frustrated..she started yelling and screaming. Then another. I swore a fight was going to break out. I just needed to get out of the way.The customers were frustrated and so were the reps.I can tell you, this location needs help! Quick!

Reading the other reviews is shocking. I am from out of state and I have rented from this particular Hertz. I can say that I was treated very well. I was able to get a car before the holiday and this location was one of the few that had cars left. There was a line, but the people were working as fast as they could.I recently rented again and this same facility picked my mother and I up and dropped us off. What else should one expect? I am highly pleased and I will be a returning customer in the near future.

First time using Hertz and I was not impressed. The agents were nice enough but there was not much communication going on. I was contacted on a Sunday evening with my reservation number and what my part of the payment would be and when it was due to be paid for Monday morning pickup. When I got to the office I was told something completely different and the agents acted as though I should just roll with the punches. Will definitely not use them again if I have a choice.

One of the worst Hertz locations I’ve ever used. When you make a reservation they need to hold a car unless you personally cancel or release it. If they don’t have the car you’ve reserved then they should upgrade you without any up charges. This Hertz only concern is about making money instead of the concerns of the customer. This is possibly because everyone is leaving Hertz to go to spend their hard earned money at Enterprise,Avis or Budget. These agencies at least have the decency to give you a rental that doesn’t have high mileage, is clean and doesn’t look like it was purchased from a low end used car lot. The female rep (I don’t remember her name)talks down to you and doesn’t act like she ever wants to rent a car to you—-I suggest that Hertz gets rid of this staff,

Dont take your car back early on a Sunday thinking that youre going to get credited for that extra day of returning early. You will get charge for an extra hour or two because they dont come in and check the cars in until after 5 PM. And they will not credit you those extra hours back. The customer service however is very good.

The car I rented had a foul smell that I had to have cleaned just to be comfortable. After returning the car I got a call saying not only was I not getting my deposit back but I was being charged for a cracked windshield. No one can show me any proof of this as I know the car was perfect. After calling the corporate office I was told they don’t have any information of this. On top of they changed the rate that I was paying for the rental. Everyone in this office is rude and disrespectful. I will absolutely never rent from this company again.

It would have been better if the interior of the car had actually been cleaned. The vehicle gas tank was literally on empty. Dirty seats, etc. ....so we delayed our trip to buy cleaning supplies to clean after having to wait in line for gasoline.

They seemed to be overwhelmed. The guy that helped me was really hustling to get the job done. I hope they pay him well. There were other employees there who didnt seem to grasp that they had alot of customers that needed attention, and it was not the right time to take photos of the inventory. I reserved a vehicle and paid in full. During the reservation process, I scheduled a pick up at 4PM.The day of, at 3:35PM, I havent heard from anyone, so I call. I spoke to an associate who informed me that this location doesnt do pick-ups, but offers $10 credit for taxi/Uber/Lyft.I get to the location, and they state since I paid in full, they cant provide a credit. I inquire about alternatives offered, the associate replies theres nothing else we can do.This is very unprofessional of Hertz to misinform their customers TWICE on an issue and give an oh well as a response. Im very dissatisfied and will think twice about using this location in the future.

Customer service is horrible they didnt have the car we reserved but wanted to put us in a bigger car but wanted us to pay for their error they were not willing to to take the loss and give us a free upgrade since they are the ones that rented the car we reserved. Thenplace looks like a ghetto house in the middle of a neighborhood. Just tacky and not very professional. Thank God I went back to the white area and got a car and was treated like they wanted and needed my business I wont ever deal with Hertz ever again. Do not i repeat do not rent a car from them .go to enterprise . This is why I dont cater to black businesses the service most times is horrible.

They dont answer the phone. That are supposed to meet me at the shop. I had to come to the store just to get service. Then the lady had the nerve to say why didnt you have the repair place bring you. I will recommend to everyone I see, dont come to this place.

The staff need to be retrained. I sincerely hope there are some adjustments. The reps behaved as though they were tired and did not care. Yes, no concern for their role or customers.God Bless, hope they utilize the opportunity to improve there operation.

This Hertz was the absolute worst. Customer service was not the best. I was give a Toyota the car itself was OK but it wasnt clean at all. I was told we TRY TO CLEAN THE CARS IF WE CAN. There was customers with reservations coming for pickup and being told there is nothing that can be done so go the airport (30 Mins Away) The only reason Im giving them a 2 star is because The lady was the best person in the office but, I will never come back I wish I had read the reviews 1st!!!!!

If I could give this place a zero I would. I made my reservation at 10:45 in the morning for 4pm. I arrived at 3:55 and the young lady behind the counter said they only put cars on the lot for day before reservations. They do not put cars on the lot for same day reservation, however if I want to UPGRADE for a FEE then I can get a car. Seriously!! She said I should have called to verify that they would have a car since it was a same day. I asked where was that written, she said in the terms and conditions of the Hertz policy. What the heck??? Seriously!!! Why take a same day if you cannot honor it? Or why is it that if I pay more money then you can find a car. Asking for management was a NO, NO. First, the rude young young lady laughed and then she referred me to a email address. This was my FIRST and LAST time trying to rent from Hertz. Thank you Enterprise of McDonough for taking a same day reservation, giving me a free upgrade and doing it with a smile.

This place is an embarrassment to the words “customer service.” They don’t answer the phones & they treat their customers very poorly. My sister went through the process of renting a car here. The tags were about to expire on the first car they gave her. They finally gave her a car with a nail in the tire & tried to charge her $75 to fix it. One of the reps said the code meant the door was open. He said this without even checking to see what the code meant. Another rep checked the code & found it was due to low tire pressure which is what my sister said in the first place. As if that wasn’t enough they have a pending charge for both cars on her account. They told her she has to call their customer line to resolve the additional payment. To add to the madness, the reps have to wash & clean the cars for the customers, this while other customers are waiting to be served. What is the cost to hire someone to do this? These are outside in their dress clothes cleaning cars? Really? They take pics of the cars without the customer being there. This place either needs new management or should be shut down. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION!!!

Horrible experience my 7 month pregnant wife and two kids were treated poorly by the representative named Parish. He had a bad attitude the while time then parked the rental as far away from the office as possible and watched my wife drag our two kids and their carseats all the way across the parking lot. Rented a car for my family reunion 1 month in advance,got there and the windshield was busted so I couldnt rent it.they told me it would take an hour.i came back in an hour.still not fixed.i went to every rental car shop around and nobody had any suvs last min needless to say they never got it fixed and I missed my family reunion.

This is by far THE WORST HERTZ RENTAL LOCATION EVER. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THE CONYERS LOCATION OR ANY HERTZ LOCATION EVER AGAIN. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE IN PERSON AND ON THE PHONE. Absolutely horrible service. On the phone they told me they could accept my rental car from an umbrella agency. Arrived, woman told me they would charge me a $300 cleaning fee because of a few crumbs. Then after I clean the car myself they would not accept the car because it was from an umbrella company and not Hertz directly. Even though they were the ones who told me this on the phone. So wasted at least two hours dealing with these people. Manager did absolutely nothing to make it correct.

This is a limited service Hertz location. I reserved a premium car online, however, they told me they never have premium cars. After telling me the only car that was available was a Nissan Sentra, they eventually ce up with a Sonata that had just finished maintenance. Nice staff, but limited cars.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This location is HORRIBLE. They give cars with expired tags, and their customer service is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I will never return. I called corporate on them so fast too smh. I wouldn’t say Hertz as a company is bad, but this location needs to be SHUT DOWN and either put under new management or shut down for GOOD. Their cars aren’t even clean! Just horrible. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE.

Horrible.... I would give them no stars if possible.....I called shortly after making a reservation online to confirm availability. I was told by the young sounding woman that they did have on car available and I told her I would be there in 20 minutes. I get there and a gentleman at the counter tells me he doesnt have any cars available to rent. It wasnt even 20 mins since I called. Just to waste my time especially being from out of state and having car problems on the drive down. Thanks for no help

I have rented from this location a couple of times in the past months and Im sad to say customer service here is the worst. Reps give no courtesy to repeat customers and the cars are filthy. I think they dont make any attempt to clean the cars
