Called to ask some questions regarding intake for a family member and no one answered. Called many many times. Finally someone answered and put me straight on hold. Have now been on hold for over 15 minutes and still havent asked my first question. Concerned how I would even schedule an apt or get help if needed if I cant even ask a few simple questions about how to get in. Ridiculous!Edit: after 20 minutes on hold, hung up. What a disgrace.

Excellent service. Comprehensive psychiatric care. Treats tough conditions. Adding Ketamine infusions and DEEP TMS with Brainsway to the traditional medications management is amazing. Uses targeted psychotherapy for better and faster results. Got to visit this place. It is different.

Truly one of a kind hospital. I was only there for a short 4 days but we covered almost if not everything, I needed help with. I feel so much better now that I finally got the help and reached out to these amazing people. They are so caring and genuine! You feel as if you are at home in this facility and surrounded by the staff. Such a great experience.

This is the most awesome place to go. I’ve been to 8 - 10 Hospital’s in the last 30 years with bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression and alcoholism. The doctor and staff are great because they truly understand what you are going through and what you need. You are not locked in and it’s a family environment. The doctor doctor understands how you feel and does what it takes to get you back on track with your meds and life not to mention the after care. Like I said... I have yet to get into a hospital with so many caring people, staff and doctors. I STRONGLY recommend this hospital.

My first impression of the hospital hasn’t changed from one month ago - I would recommend Dr Bishai and his incredible staff for anyone who needs mental health treatment. The love and care the “guests” receive touched my heart. (Note: patients are called guests) All the guests, their family members and visiting friends are treated with respect and concern. I thank God every day for Dr. B and all the staff who supported me and my fellow guests. I highly recommend this hospital.

Excellent, one on one care. Personalized approach. Not just a lock down facility that treats you like a number. The staff here is amazing and is always willing to go the extra mile to help you with your treatment. The doctor is really personable and listens. They are truly invested in seeing you succeed.

The people there were amazing. Laid back schedules, supportive staff, freedom to recover however you feel. Their rooms have positive names like hope and respect, and there is a lot of artwork and puzzles on the wall from previous patients. Overall a very caring facility.

I called the number that it has here... no amswer just a recording saying person is on the phone. I have a newborn i dont have time for this. I drove an hour and a half for no reason. So unbelievably unprofessional!!

This hospital is so helpful! I have been to hospitals voluntarily before to get my meds adjusted quicker than seeing my psychiatrist. They are scary. They take your humanity, require strict rules for safetyRegardless. The stay time is minimum 7-8 days and rapid improvement is not rewarded. You must hit the minimum. At this hospital you get to keep your phone, you just can’t have the charge chord. You get to go outside if you want and you get the care you need without judgement. You get the help you need and leave when you believe you are ready. They are very affordable too! They are in the process of getting insurance but for now their cash pricing is lower than any other place in Houston or even Texas. The model for the hospital cannot be found anywhere else in the state...factually. This is not my opinion. The way the doctor has chosen to model his hospital care is science based and there are only 9 places like it in the United States to date! If you are looking for care from people who care that you succeed, not just diagnose you and send you away and collect your insurance money...this is the place! The doctors, staff, nurses, and volunteers will all share their own experiences with mental health. Their motto of “we may be in that bed you’re in now in a year” is comforting and makes it easier to get your own therapy done. If your tired of the stigma and the negativity of a psych hospital...don’t go to just any of them. Go here and walk out changed forever! You can see in my face the progress from no therapy, med change and instant feeling better.PSA: results may very based on your personal work, diagnosis, and chemical changes. My med was a 1-2 day effect and most take 4-6 weeks to see results.

In the midst of the hardest month of my life, where I was suddenly lost, depressed and in the darkest place I had ever been... I was referred to WICH, I looked at the website and thought, why not try it? I had never been to a mental health facility but have visited people in them, they felt like jails. As soon as I arrived I felt comfortable, welcomed and could feel the support and genuine care. Dr. B is amazing at his job, and not to take anything from him but it was the peer support, the sunrise and sunset sessions, mindfulness activities and SO much more... The team felt like a family to me instantly. I left after 5 days, knowing I had to face some big struggles in my life and I felt confident leaving... Well life got darker, I was even more lost than before... I was using the techniques and lessons WIC taught me but my depression and the things I was going through got worse. I knew where to turn to have the support I needed, I went back for another 5 days. It wasnt that my first visit wasnt beneficial enough to help me deal with my depression but it was because I needed to be around family and needed support. This was nothing like a jail, it was like going back to a family that was 100% there to support, listen, teach, counsel and anything else you need. I recently got into a very selective program that I never would have had the confidence to even apply to this soon after where I mentally was at the beginning of April. April 30th was my last day at WIC, May 30th I got into this special program... THANK YOU WIC family for everything you all did, keep up the great work! Feels odd to say about a hospital, but I miss yall! I hope even if just one person reads this review and decides to go check in for help and support... I know it will change their lives for the better, it certainly did mine. Thanks again! -G

In recent months I suffered from severe depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. When things got really bad, I started looking for psychiatric hospitals in the area, but the reviews made most of them seem like prison -- with the exception of Woodlands Integrative Care. I couldnt believe a psychiatric hospital had only 5-star reviews. When my psychiatrist told me I needed to be hospitalized immediately, there was only one place I wanted to try. Having been there twice now, I can honestly say it was a great experience.WIC operates in a completely different way from the stereotypical lockdown psych facility. They referred to me as a guest, not a patient, and it really felt more like a psychiatric bed and breakfast than a hospital. While they took measures to ensure my safety given my suicidal thoughts (they kept shoelaces, shorts with drawstrings, etc.), I was free to leave at any time. They let me keep my cellphone, which is unheard of for a psych hospital, and some of the other guests brought their own pillows, blankets, laptops, etc. Aside from a few areas like the pharmacy that obviously needed to be secure, I was free to walk around anywhere in the hospital at any time. And although they do have a daily schedule, guests dont have to do anything or go anywhere they dont want to.I absolutely loved the people at WIC, who I could tell genuinely cared about me and wanted to help. WIC follows a peer support model, which means most of the people who work there are also managing their own mental health struggles. So the people who greeted me at the door, led the therapy groups, and interacted with me on a daily basis really understood what its like to struggle. Not one single person I interacted with had an attitude like they just tolerated me to cash a paycheck; instead, they showed me tremendous kindness and love.Dr. Bishai, the psychiatrist, is an amazing doctor and person. He listened to my concerns, made really helpful medication adjustments, and saw me every day to make sure I was making progress. I found the group therapy sessions really helpful, not only learning new methods and skills but also hearing about how the peers manage their own struggles. Guests can also have one-on-one sessions with a peer or LPC any time and really focus on specific things. WIC doesnt run a one-size-fits-all treatment program, but instead tries to meet each persons unique needs. Theyre also really dedicated to follow-up and making sure guests have continuing treatment once they leave.Another great thing about this place was the food; no hospital cafeteria! For breakfast they have basic things like cereal, fruit yogurt, etc., but they cater lunch and dinner -- either a large order from a place like Jasons Deli or the guests get together, choose a restaurant, and order meals for delivery -- all paid for by the hospital.Overall, WIC is an incredible place that combines effective treatment with hospitality and humanity. I highly recommend it to anyone whos struggling.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder and Generalized Anxiety (GAD) in 2008. Throughout my life, Ive had several suicide attempts including one in Feb. of 2019. After visits to several hospitals in DFW and Austin area, a counselor at SARC suggested The Woodlands. From the moment I walked in, I had a feeling of comfort and relief. The atmosphere is one of feeling at home, not sterile like other hospitals. The psychiatrist, Dr. Bishai took the time to visit with me, even though I was just taking a tour. I have seen many psychiatrists over the past 11 yrs. and there is no one that even comes close to his level of care. Other hospitals I was lucky if I saw the Dr. once a week! Dr. Bishai saw me each day. He listens, he truly cares and he is simply the best in every way possible. As far as the staff, they are a reflection of the doctor. They went above and beyond. The ENTIRE STAFF is amazing,... from the techs, nurses, counselors, to the peer support group leaders, They LISTEN. They CARE. They SUPPORT. For the first time, since being diagnosed I made true progress. Im happy to say, thanks to Dr. Bishai and the staff (BiBi, Nicole, Jason, Kimberly, Candice, Joyce, Santa, Julie, Carla,Josh, Rodney and others) Im emotionally stable and looking forward to the next chapter in my life. If you are in need of support, whether or not you have been diagnosed with a mental disorder, dont hesitate to call or walk in this facility because I can promise you, youll be so glad you did! They live up to their five star reputation so I encourage you to ignore any negative reviews!
