This was a hard time for our family. My brother was a young innocent. He was mentally challenged and a loved soul. We lost him unexpectedly to covid so it was a shock to our family. John and Allen were very helpful guiding us through our choices we had to make. During services Allen seemed to be right there over our shoulder in case we needed anything. He seemed to be everywhere. If I thought of something I wanted to ask all I had to do was turn around he was standing there. Thank you all for helping us during this time. God bless

I was at a loss of what to do when my husband died. Thankful my brother knew a guy who recommend this funeral home. They were great. They didn’t get frustrated with all the questions that several people were asking (half of which were the same question - different people). They laid out our options and they made me feel good about what we decided on. The staff was great.

Steve responded immediately to our call after my wife passed away. He and his team were totally compassionate, caring and professional at all times. During the making of the arrangements, Steve and Brandy were very considerate and thorough in explaining all the options and helping us with our decisions. I appreciate the staff at Metcalf and Cashner for going above and beyond in taking care of our needs.

Had a great experience, staff was very kind and compassionate. Director walked me through everything, even the things I didn’t know to ask or know about. Facility was nice, classy and the space was idea for our group. The cafe area was also nice, with complimentary water and coffee. I would recommend. I researched 3 places in Vonroe and this was best deal.

I just want to say thanks to Mark at Metcalf for assisting me with answers concerning my parents prepaid plan. Even though they no longer live in the area and dont require the services yet, Mark answered all my questions and even went the extra mile to find another funeral chapel in my parents home town so the plan can be moved and he did it all in the same day. This is true service above and beyond and I thank Mark for being so helpful and attentive to me and my parents needs.

Metcalf charges exorbitant fees. We did not use them for cremation services due to their prices being double of other local places. But since we had called them to pick up our loved one and did not end up using them, they charged over $600 just for a pick up fee. Regret no being better informed before needing this kind of service.

We used Metcalf for our sons services. They acted very professionally and on fairly short notice. Steve our contact, kept us informed of each step, handled all the details and provided a very positive result under the circumstances.I would not hesitate to recommend them.
