Lovely little hideaway, tucked back on the narrow curving roads of rural IN. Beautiful and surrounded by nature, it is perfect for a vacation away from the world. Yet all still within 20 minutes of hiking, tubing, disc golf, diners, and small city charm. The amenities offered here are perfect, ac was nice to come back to after a hot hike, the porch is perfect for sitting and listening to the woods and its inhabitants or viewing the stars. The only downfall to this place was the shower, nothing a new shower head couldnt fix, so we really have no complaints. Bed was comfy, and we loved the seclusion even with neighbors, thanks for a great place! Highly recommend staying here if in the area.
We rented the Pinewood Cabin for 5 nights. When we arrived, the cabin was warm, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was clean, relaxing, and in good repair. The wood burning stove came in handy, as we got about 3 inches of unexpected snow! Not to mention it makes the cabin smell wonderful. The owners left a binder, and a few notes around to help with any questions we may have had. I didnt have a need to contact them during our stay for anything, but i did receive a few emails from them during our stay encouraging us to contact them if we needed anything. Our entire stay was very quiet and peaceful. We will definetely be visiting again in the future.
My roommate and I rented Red Bud for a weekend getaway to celebrate her birthday and have a break from the stress of college life. We had a good time. The hot tub was awesome! The beds were nice and comfortable, too.We did have a few issues with the wood fireplace. It was incredibly difficult to light a sustainable fire with the matches they provided. It would have been much easier to do with a lighter. Also, the DVD player skipped too much to actually watch a movie, and the TV antenna had to be in just the right position or the picture would be fuzzy.Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but we felt like we didnt get as much opportunity to relax without the wood fireplace and DVD player functioning properly.
Me and my wife rented Woodcliff for a getaway weekend. The process for payment and information was all done conveniently over the phone and thru email. The owners were swift and responsive, including on returning my deposit for the cabin in a timely manner. This was a beautiful retreat and the most recessed of cabins on the property. Upon arrival we were met with a upkept newly graveled driveway and perfectly manicured landscaping all the way back to each cabin. Our cabin was perfectly prepared for us with the door unlocked, the key in plain sight (with a handy key floater attached for those on the lake) and a binder with all the information needed for our stay including some dining recommendations. We were supplied with ample and seasoned firewood with plenty of newspaper to start it on each night. Even without, the gas heater is sufficient to heat the house. The oven and fridge/freezer worked great! There are a couple of things that could be better. There was some wallpaper issues right at the toilet, the tub could be recaulked, spray foam could be cleaned up and the back steps relocated out back. We were not able to use the hot tub because the water level was just low enough to power the jet for a few seconds before the water got to low to fully prime the system. I was afraid to burn out the pump but it was a disappointment, we were looking forward to the hot tub!Reading thru the guest book it appears this is under newer ownership, which were absolutely pleasant to deal with. I feel you guys could spend a day in straightening out some imperfections and this place would be immaculate. None of these things really affected our stay outside of the hot tub.All in all this is exactly what we were looking for at an affordable price while doing business with an actual family instead of franchise. We will be back I feel many times as our family continues growing!
Great value. Had a great time. We already want to go back.
This is an amazing place!!! We stayed in the Woodcliff Cabin. It was so relaxing and serene. It was perfect for our romantic weekend getaway. We will definitely be returning :)
Beds are very comfy and cabin is cozy. We really enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain and the porch swing was nice and peaceful. Would stay again
We had a wonderful weekend in the Deer Run cabin. Cozy and warm. The hot tub was wonderful and the owners were very responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back!
Our family got some much needed alone time at the pinewood and deer run cabins for Father’s Day weekend! We were close to the lake, but not close enough to have to worry about the traffic. Very nice quiet cabins with all you could ask for. We had fully functional kitchens, televisions for the kids, and both cabins had their own hot tub, grill, and outdoor seating area. We will be going back to enjoy dreams end cabins again! There is plenty to do, and the owner Leah always made sure we were taken care of! As missionaries we stay in allot of different places, but this has been one of the friendliest and nicest we’ve been!
Expensive and no availability you have to stay at least 2 or 3 nights
We really enjoyed staying in the Woodclif cabin. This was our 2nd time, our first time we stayed in the Pinewood cabin. Both cabins we clean and everything we had hoped for. We will be back again soon!
Very disappointed in our trip. My husband booked this as a weekend get away for us and out 1 year old twins. When we arrived the cabin was freezing cold and the fireplace did not work, the owner wasn’t willing to come repair it until the next day, but did walk my husband through a fix over the phone. Which worked for 24 hours, then the fireplace completely stopped working. The cabin did not appear to be cleaned, as there were dead bugs on the floor, and dust and grime covering lesser traveled areas. They gave us two dish towels and one washcloth to use in the kitchen. The beds were hard and the pillows were extremely flat. The toilet leaked, leading to a puddle in the bathroom during half our visit. I’m shocked by their positive reviews as we have stayed in many cabins, and this has been one of the dirtiest.
Originally I was going to rate Dreams End 2 stars, but after the email exchange with the owner Lea I have reduced that to one star. After our stay I now understand why Dreams End would not provide pictures of the inside of the cabin. The cabin had cobwebs and dead flies EVERYWHERE. I killed more flies in our weekend stay than I have my entire life. My wife made a great statement on Friday evening, It is not clean, but it is not so dirty that I am fearing of getting bed bugs. Along with not being cleaned, there was no firewood left out for us on a chilly middle of October night. The owner showed up on Saturday and apologize as she had a lot going on. Also, asked us if there were blankets inside the cabin. This clearly shows how often they are inside their own cabins. Our final complaint was the shower head shot water directly out of the shower.I ignored the request for pictures of the inside of the cabin because of the amazing reviews Dreams End had. I really wish I would have chose somewhere else to stay for my surprise weekend to my wife. The Monday after our trip I noticed the invoice was sent to us on Saturday. I decided to email the owners to inform them of my complaints before paying the invoice. I wanted to offer them an opportunity to make it right and avoid this review. Leas response blamed the cleaning service and waived the $25 cleaning fee. I would argue that we left the cabin cleaner than we found it, but paid for a product that should have been cleaned prior to our stay. This cabin nor the owners are hospitable. I would advise to look elsewhere for a weekend getaway as I wish there would have been a review to warn me.
Great location for an escape - weve rented 3 separate times and enjoyed thoroughly
My husband and I stopped in at the last minute and rented the Pinewood cabin for a night. I wish we could have stayed longer! So peaceful. The hot tub was wonderful. The wood stove heating the cabin was a great touch. Well maintained, and Scott was the most pleasant and inviting host. We will remember this place and return!
Loved it!plan on going back. It was nice and peaceful quiet and full of nature! Plus the wood stove was so aromatic it made the experience. Then throw in the hot tub! Great time start to finish!
So clean and spacious. Felt like a home away from home. Scenery was beautiful and the town is only 15 minutes out. So many great actives to do around and Scott (the owner) was super friendly and helpful! Ill definitely be coming back soon 😁
We spent 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Really a secluded and private setting. Loved the getaway. Scott is a super nice guy. We will be returning!!
Great place.
Quick get away for a night in the Cedar Ridge cabin was perfect! We will be coming back and staying longer! Scott was so accommodating and quick with email conversations! Wonderful experience!
Stayed here March 2018 for our anniversary. 1st time there, but definitely will not be our last. Cabins were beautiful, hot tubs were great and the seclusion was much needed. Had a great time and cant wait to go back.
My wife and I rented the Pinewood cabin for a weekend away. We found the place to be quaint, quiet and well maintained. The hot tub and bathrooms were nice and clean. The office staff was prompt in returning our deposit and we plan on visiting again soon.
I stayed at the Deer Run cabin Feb 26 & 27th for a Girlfriends weekend. Scott, the owner was easy to work with and the place was perfect for what we wanted. I will definitely recommend them to anyone else. I, also, like that they offer pet friendly cabins. Will consider them for sure when my honey and I choose to go to a cabin again with our pups.
Very nice cabins with all the amenities you would want. Only thing missing is internet, but other than that its like staying at a hotel in the woods. Nice if youre planning a get away, but dont want a more rustic experience.
Spring break getaway with the family and quick horse back ride at Salt Creek Ranch. Above and beyond our expectations, thanks so much.
This is a beautiful location that is so secluded just a little bit Its very close to good restaurants and Brookville lake
