Wade Cantrell has assembled an excellent group of very knowledgeable computer specialists. I have been bringing to them my computer issues and problems for several years now, and have always been satisfied with their help. From my experience they stand behind their work and stay with any problems that arise until they are resolved. I highly recommend their services.
Let the buyer beware! This place seems to be very hit and miss. We tried them a month ago based on online reviews and they seemed to be very good. My wife is very leery of outside computer repair shops so it took a lot of convincing for us to try them. We took one laptop in and dealt with Employee A who was very responsive and delivered the repairs exactly as promised and quite promptly. Were off to a very good start it seems...Because of that experience, we recently took two more laptops for repairs/services and found ourselves dealing with Employee B but thought its the same shop, same owner so lets just trust the process.Well, we were wrong in that assumption. When you drop items off, each item gets its own write up for the tech to follow. The tech is usually the employee you drop it off to. Our first clue something was wrong, was Employee B did nothing re: follow up for a full week after we dropped everything off. Then, when I had to call, he mumbled something about working on it right away and said it would be ready in a couple of days. Now this is almost 10 days whereas the first project with employee A took only 3 days for everything. The day my wife goes it to pick it up, it turns out that Employee B has reversed the two written orders by not comparing the write up (chart) with the laptop (patient) carefully! He literally did the opposite of what we had requested /written down for each laptop and then tried to cover it up when my wife went in to pick the items up! Only after she called me while she was standing there and I told her to look at the orders to confirm which was which, did Employee B admit that HE mixed up the orders and it was his fault. He almost let her believe that I was not clear enough when I dropped them off.To make matters worse, he did nothing at that point to sincerely apologize (he did mumble he was sorry) and to insist on his ability to correct the issues at no charge to us in order to make amends and keep a new customer who also is a small business owner looking for a long-term, on-call tech service provider! She demanded our money back (you prepay a $100/fee per item) and he gave it to her and let her walk out. He seemed to be more interested in getting a dissatisfied customer out of the store. We have not heard from the owner but Im sure this was not reported. In any case the owner is responsible for the employees he leaves unsupervised.You can take your chances and get Employee A, but if you dont know in advance who that is, you will certainly be getting potluck it seems. Just know that in advance. Im giving it 2 stars just because of our one positive interaction, otherwise this would be a zero stars review.
Wade Cantrell, owner of Cantrell’s Computer Sales & Services, is a great person and wonderful business owner. As such he hires excellent people.The microphone on my computer has never worked. As video meetings become the norm, my work-around doesn’t always work and I really need a functional mic. Wade set up a virtual support appointment with one of his techs. The tech was prompt, helpful, polite, and unsuccessful. I needed to take the machine in. We easily made an appointment, that I had to reschedule, and I continued without a microphone for a couple more days.While I had a half-hour appointment slot, I assumed that I would drop off my computer and hope to hear from the tech before the day was out. I was greeted by a different tech – also friendly – who started the thing up and in about 10 minutes got the mic working. Turns out we needed a little trial and error along with a hands-on approach.By the time my half-hour appointment time was done, my computer was fixed, I’d gone to the gas station around the corner to fill my tank and tires, and was on my way home!Every time I interact with Wade or any of his guys, I have an excellent experience.Lorrie NicolesOwner, Tora Writing Services
Spoke with Wade, the owner, today on the phone re: my laptop suddenly not turning on. He was more than happy to walk me through a troubleshooting procedure that worked. I offered to pay for the help but he declined to accept, and even offered some additional advice such as backing up all files and docs through cloud storage or storage device. This is great customer service and professionalism that all businesses should emulate.

I have used Wades computer maintenance services for nearly 20 years for desktops and laptops. He has also custom-built a desktop for me. In all these instances his team have successfully cloned for transfer, or recovered for transfer, whole hard drives of files, photos and emails. He has recommended and implemented many very serious hard-drive and memory upgrades along the way. His staff are always courteous and prompt.....and available for the odd phone-in question, even remote access and fixing while Ive been traveling. All in all, highly recommendable indeed.
I brought my half dead computer to Cantrell’s Computer Sales and Services and they were excellent. The communication was very detailed and prompt which is very important to any computer repair. They guided me through each step of what they were doing to try to save my hard drive. Unfortunately it died so they replaced it with a new one, then transferred all of the data from the old one to the new.The price was reasonable, the service top notch and the results superb. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of computer repair!
Very positive experience here, my Dell laptop wouldnt start up...called Cantrells, brought it in, they explained everything clearly to me, they fixed it, put in a new hard drive, and saved all my data ...whew.Excellent communication and customer service, they called and kept me updated on the repair progress, and when I brought it home I had to call them at least five times because I couldnt figure out simple things, lol. They were polite and professional and extremely helpful, and now I have my computer back. Highly recommended, support our local businesses!!Thank you Cantrells!!

I recently had a problem with my nearly new laptop. I brought it into Cantrells. They realized that it was under warranty and did all the legwork to get it back to the manufacturer and then back to me. They made sure that everything was done correctly and that I was happy. Great, friendly service.

Had a hard drive with a bad boot sector. I could not retrieve the drive so took it to Cantrells. They were also not able to resurect the drive. However, they were very professional, courteous and notified me promptly. Cant ask for much more.

These guys are great. They do have a diagnostic fee, but it ended up going towards the repair. They are professional and work fast. They do windows AND macs! I will return for any future repairs.

Two jobs. Laptop HDD failed, they installed a new SSD, now it runs a lot faster. Sadly, the drive couldnt be recovered. Next Cantrells installed a new SSD in my desktop to replace a woefully undersized C drive. In just a few hours they were able to transfer all my data and operating system.
