I had outstanding service for a time but then nothing seemed to progress past the starting line. Ive moved out of state and I am trying to enlist into the military and they are requiring my medical documentations, signed, for me to enlist. Ive been trying to get these for almost 2 months now and Im just sitting here waiting while being left on read by the office. This is unacceptable for someone trying to start a career and trying to progress in life. There is no reason for a holdup like this.
Equitas Health Short North. Does NOT care about the health and well being of their paitents. If you tell a paitent they will get a call back in 24hrs and the Dr was in office and decided to not respond to messages. If something would happen to paient. You WILL be held RESPONSIBLE.
While the nurse practitioners are great and attentive, the. Nursing staff and others are not. Never leave a message. Youll never get a call back.
Go to Clintonville instead, I was made to feel very uncomfortable after making an appointment with my home office in Clintonville for the Short North location, I had a small window of time before work they were able to schedule me very early the next day- then would not see me after multiple services at the other location, said files dont transfer between offices. The person who helped me at the desk was apologetic but other staff chimed in to make me feel bad about something sensitive.
DISCLAIMER: Loved my 2 previous care providers at this location, but they left. I dont, and cant recommend you see Matthew Adkins. He tried to tell me anemia doesnt reduce your chance of infection or illness. Every doctor Ive had previously, even at hometown urgencare, seems to disagree with him. After a quick google search because he was making me feel insane, I can safely say hes wrong. Anemia is pretty common, to not know how it works is pretty concerning. Im worried for his current and future patients. Idk if it was prejudice because I have medicaid or because I was on unemployment. I guess it doesnt matter what it was, just dont see him, lol.
Is it normal to call a patient the day before the appointment and cancel because there’s a mandatory meeting the doctor has to attend? Shouldn’t that have been blocked on his schedule? And is it normal to reschedule patient over a month later? I don’t know.
Very professional very clean understanding quick and people are very cool would HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😎
This place is great, they will take care of all your health care needs, as well as some mental health needs and I believe they also will take care of dental needs as well. Theyhave an on-site Pharmacy that is just great, the pharmacy staff is friendly and you can tell they really care about your health. The staff is great, caring, and very kind. This is a great place for the LGBT community as they are very friendly to the community. this is also a great place to go if you are seeking medical treatment for transgender issues. I recommend this place 100%
Michael at the front desk has no customer service or social skills. Instead of being rude and honestly inhumane, you should employ people who care for people, it is the medical field and some of us are going through traumatic struggles, so having someone like Michael talk down to me just to boost his own ego, is not a good look for not only the company, but also just not ethical.
Another pleasant interaction with Aria and Equitas amazing staff! Im baffled that theres a 1 star review because this is not a 1 star facility by ANY stretch. Have you ever met Tara or Karin? AMAZING PEOPLE! Theyre always attentive, positive and helpful. I want to give a special remark about Aria because she honestly makes my day. Her pleasant attitude and warmness makes me enjoy going in there. I honestly feel like shes the best possible person for that position. Their nurse practitioners and entire staff have saved my life, and for that, Ill forever be grateful. And rate you accordingly!
The front desk staff are generally rude or even downright mean -- like when they turned me away from an appointment I was slightly late for due to chemotherapy-induced vomiting. And you should absolutely NOT use their incompetent pharmacy. But the actual providers, like Mimi, are bar none the best Ive encountered for gender-affirming care. I cannot recommend this location highly enough to trans Ohioans in the area, and after moving out of state, Ive realized even more how good I had it with Equitas. LGBT clinics dont get much better than this.Oh, and as someone else mentioned, they operate on an informed consent model. Unless you have no other option, if you are trans, you want to go somewhere that operates on an informed consent model. They are difficult to find because this universe is one of pain and evil.
Update information so people like me don’t waste time and money. Thanks .
They have the nicest and most caring staff I’ve ever experienced. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I feel bad rating 2 stars because the front desk staff and clinic staff were all amazing. However, the pharmacy staff all need a lesson in customer service and an attitude adjustment.Upon arriving to the pharmacy, I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged while approximately 5 pharmacy staff members went about their business. Also, the white male pharmacist was very rude and lacked an attitude that made me feel welcome or appreciated as a customer.I chose to use this pharmacy to support the organization and what the organization stands for, but I will be going back to my regular pharmacy where I am treated with respect.I do not recommend others to use this pharmacy unless you absolutely must.
Amazing staff, welcoming experience and free HIV/STD testing. Come alone or with your partner! Glad you’re here in our community. Thank you!
Mimi is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! If youre thinking about visiting this place, youre in good hands!
I did a job shadow at this facility and the staff was very friendly and listened to every patients needs and any questions they have a the physicians are very down to earth. I would love to work for this company..😀
I would love to review healthcare Id received at Equitas but Ive found the front desk and scheduling system so incompetent, unaccommodating, and rude that Ive never even been seen.Ive lived in Ohio for three years and trans healthcare of any sort is difficult to find anywhere; let alone in a state that outright hates us for existing.Everyone around me recommended Equitas to me singing praises like those Ive read here.Id scheduled numerous appointments and each has ended in me being turned away, for different reasons each time. In one instance, I was three minutes late for an appointment and the receptionist essentially told me not to bother scheduling another appointment. Most recently I scheduled an appointment in a dysphoria fueled panic, and was told it would be a month or so before I could be seen. We agreed on a day and time. And when the week of came, I found that I was unable to make it, so I called and emailed them after hours, as soon as I knew I couldnt make it. The next day when I spoke to someone, I was told it looked like I had never even been scheduled for an appointment.LGBTQ healthcare and HIV/AIDS awareness and care are definitely a widely overlooked and underfunded aspect of our healthcare system and I appreciate that Equitas is out there doing that...But Ive had too many negative experiences with them to continue considering them an option for me.I hope the experiences of others reflect the image Equitas is hoping to create.
Friendly, efficient and amazing staff. I could not be happier with my doctor and Ive worked in medical for over twenty five years. Thanks for helping me feel better and working to keep me this way.
They go above and beyond for all your needs. Just awesome.
I cant recommend this place more especially to people who are in the LGBT community. Wonderful place.
Since no one else has said this, they are one of the only places in Central Ohio that operate as an informed consent clinic for getting on HRT.
When Equitax Health just accepted a few patients it used to be great. However, now that is a public clinic its just not the same. They never answer their calls, the phones keep saying theyre closed when theyre not, I cant set up same day appointments and the front desk are not very helpful either.
I come for regular testing they are extremely slow I don’t understand how the place can be empty but you wait for almost an hour !!!!!!!!!! Stick with the Clintonville location hey are much faster.
Everyone was very considerate and kind. Love my main provider, Mimi.
Great community resource providing health care and pharmacy for Columbus LGTBQ folks and at-risk people. Has needle exchange and other resources.
Billing/coding department is horrible, and after months of insurance company and lab trying to get simple response to correct their error, still no success. If you have insurance, go to an office where you see an actual doctor with billing department on site.
